Packet Tracer the first thing that we
need to do is to add a bunch of PCS so
one way is to just click on the computer
and add it to the screen one by one or
the other way that I prefer is to hold
control and click on the PC now each
time I click I can add a new PC without
selecting the computer again now let's
deselect it and in order to connect
these PCS together with a single line we
need to add a bunch of switches so
control click on the switch and Add a
switch for each pair of PCS that's the
backbone of the bus topology so now we
need to connect these PCS together let's
move them Center and make them a bit
cleaner let's go to cables and I want to
use the autoconnect cable let's control
click on it and connect the PCS to the
switches
all right now for the main cable we need
to connect the switches together as you
can see here from computer to switch it
is using the copper straight cable but
from switch to switch it is using copper
crossover cable so now this is our bus
topology now it's time to test our
connection between PC to PC for the sake
of your time and the time for this video

config fast ethernet and here you can
see IP configuration inside static IP

this text box you can see the subnet
mask will be set
automatically now let's give IP for this
PCI as well go to config fast ethernet
and here IP

16811 all right that's the IP address
for these two PCS now let's test the
connection so to test the connection the
easiest way is to go to desktop and here
open up command command prompt and get a
ping from the other PC to do that we
just say ping and the IP address of the
destination that we want to test our
connection in the case for pc26 is
192168
1110 if I press enter all right here you
can see it is giving me the Ping of that
PC which means that we have an stable
