able to do as Ambassador in
Athens more importantly it takes up a
growing amount of time for our whole
team here at the state Department's
energy Bureau with Greece at the
crossroads of Europe Asia and North
Africa the Region's importance has
become even more self-evident in all
facets of my bureau's work on the energy
trilemma energy security energy
sustainability and energy
affordability Greece's expanding LNG and
regasification capacity for instance
remains critical to promoting and
enhancing European energy
security new projects like the vertical
Corridor will help to diversify not only
gas supplies but also natural gas routs
while promoting the connectivity and
cooperation which underpin any truly
resilient energy
markets gree is rapidly expanding
domestic Renewables deployment a model
lauded frequently by European officials
in Brussels will provide affordable
secure energy for the Greek public but
it also supports Greece's ambition to
