to have to do forever this video is kind
of hard for me cuz I haven't actually
had to send a cold pitch in a very long
time and neither will you because
copywriters grow past the need for this
very quickly I went really hard on cold
emails and DMS in like April and May of
2020 and then again in like December
January of 2020 and then 2021 after that
the emails and DMs I would send were
sure shots meaning I already basically
knew I was going to get hired before I
even sent the DM these were super
targeted approaches that I knew I was
going to get and it was easy for me but
before that you're kind of just like
blowing your load into the atmosphere
you don't really know what you're doing
or who you're sending it to or why
you're saying what you're saying but
we're just going to clear all that up
right now all right chapter one is about
actually finding people and training
your algorithm so depending on what you
actually watch on Instagram you may may
already have potential clients on your
feed right now and I'm talking about
business owners people that own
e-commerce brands people that own SAS
companies or courses and coaching
businesses like info products and if you
don't have business owners showing up on
your feed right now we're going to have
to do a little bit of work Instagram
only shows you content that you think
you're going to like and so if you've
never engaged with anything like that in
the past then it's not going to show you
anything good we love cat videos but cat
videos are not going to pay the bills
what you need to do is go seek out that
content so it can serve it to you again
and again and again so if you want
people that have courses and coaching
programs or Drop Shipping brands or SAS
companies to show up on your page what
do you think you should do you should
search it up in the search bar and then
go through all the people that look like
they're actually doing something like
all the reals follow these people check
out their profile see who they're
following follow those people and just
go down a little spiderweb Rabbit Hole
now when you're doing this process like
typing in hashtag Drop Shipping or #
info products or # real estate or hasht
coaching or something like that you're
actually going to be finding all of your
potential clients right here all right
so if I go to my Instagram and I go drop
shipping I just type that in my for you
page going to be all kinds of stuff like
this okay so this guy obviously has a
course you go
here he's got some okay so he's got a
mentorship he's got a free course he's
got all kinds of stuff that you can sell
you can easily pitch this guy he's got
decent numbers on his reels and he's got
42,000 followers let's go to another one
this guy I

step okay so this guy's actually
crushing it um he's probably making a
bunch of money okay but you're seeing
all these people that like have programs
that you could actually sell right now
and now that I looked up those guys my
entire feed is going to be Instagram
recommending me videos just like that
because they know I like it now you're
probably also asking how did I know that
those people are going to be a good fit
for copyrighting services I'm going to
break down down what a good potential
client looks like on this little
checklist here so the first thing most
importantly they have to actually be a
business owner and you usually see
something in their profile about like
teaching or helping people or like DM me
a keyword or Link in their bio or
something like that and they also have
to have a decent sized audience so I'm
thinking minimum 10K followers which
sounds like it's a lot you can sometimes
go a little bit lower but I've seen that
anybody who has a business and they're
on Instagram and they're make they have
at least 10K followers they're probably
making money you also have to make sure
those are real followers so if they have
10K followers and like no likes on their
pictures or no comments then they're
probably not real not a good fit or if
they have a bunch of reals they get like
20 views a pop like they're not real
followers not a good fit but if they get
you know a couple thousand views per
real and they get a couple hundred or a
couple thousand likes per picture then
this person is probably going to be a
good fit but the most important thing is
the link in the bio if they don't have a
link in the bio they're not selling you
anything or if they don't have DM me
whatever they're not selling you
anything it's not going to be a good fit
and this is honestly the easy part
because like even if if they don't have
that stuff but they look like they have
a business hit them anyway this is very
important for you to understand you need
to be hitting every single business own
or you see do not Niche down only to
real estate people or only to drop
shipping guys or only to SAS companies
you need to be hitting everyone if they
have a business message them now what do
I message them great question this
brings us to chapter three which is your
Outreach message so a few months back I
made a video about how the best script
to use is are you doing anything with
email right now and that got burnt out
so fast it became a meme so learned from
my own mistakes I'm not going to give
you a script but I am going to tell you
the sentiment that your message should
have you should start with the idea that
you're good at what you do and they need
your help because you're a Savage and
you're going to crush for them and they
need you really bad and that whatever
amount of money they're making they
could be making way more if they just
hired you now if you're a beginner that
may not be true but that's how you're
going to act you have to brainwash
yourself into being delusionally
confident so that when you message them
you're going to come off that way and
they're going to trust you more I'm not
saying this is a scri you should use but
if I were you this is kind of what I
would say I would say something like
first name curious what kind of systems
do you have in the back end to convert
all the traffic you're driving with
Instagram P.S just watch that real on my
fre or not fre you page but whatever the
Instagram is explore page watch that
real you did um love the way you said
XYZ or something like that so I switched
the order so people used to go
compliment pitch I'm actually going the
other way around so it's pitch and then
compliment I think it's way better when
people are straight up about what they
want to talk about I hate when people
are d daming me and they're trying to be
my friend and then they end up pitching
me something else that I probably don't
need and I just realized their
friendship was all fake and I feel used
anytime you DM someone and you're like
hey man how's your day how's your dog
you have a cute dog oh your wife is
beautiful you doing anything with email
right now it's like the worst possible
way you could start a relationship so
you're putting the compliment after and
it has to be a legit compliment you have
to actually watch their real and say
something that you liked about it now
regarding the actual pitch part it's not
about email anymore it's about
converting traffic they're driv ding
from Instagram and the reason for that
is because it makes it way more General
it's not just email email is one thing
you can do so many things you can do as
a copyrght to help someone make more
money it's not just emails it's SMS you
could be doing a vssl for them you could
do a sales page you could do all kinds
of stuff that they can do in the back
end to literally convert more traffic or
if you want to just do email you can say
something like hey like do you have
someone like crushing emails for you
right now or you could say like how's
your sales page working for you or how's
your vssl working for you just like the
formula is hey name oneliner pitch PS
compliment now here's what you do if
someone's actually interested now before
we move on remember that not everyone is
going to be interested in what you have
to pitch sometimes it's one in 100
sometimes it's like 1 in 250 there is
nothing wrong with sending 50 DMS that
never get responses in a row just
straight into the abyss there's nothing
wrong with that that happens to
everybody remember to stay consistent
and if you're not doing 50 a day you're
a loser you're lazy you're never going
to be rich and when someone is
interested it's a great feeling you know
what you might pop a bottle right there
but don't yet because you haven't gotten
them to pay you this is what you say and
by the way this is where like 90% of
people fumble the bag once they're
interested it's yours to mess it up like
don't mess it up you're going to get a
bunch of different types of responses
like if they if you say like what are
you doing do you have someone handling
this they'll L say yes leave me alone
which is fine you can leave me alone or
they'll be super eager and be like no I
actually do need this like are you
offering this like can I hire you right
now which if you get a response like
that like congratulations you just won
most of the time it'll be like oh what
do you mean or like no tell me more and
then literally that's when you tell them
like more about how you are going to
help and why you're the best so
like let's use my script for example
like let's say I said oh what are you
doing to convert you know um all the
traffic you're driving from Instagram
and they go uh what do you mean and I go
I mean you're driving all the traffic
from Instagram where are you sending it
you send it to an email list like if you
are are you sending emails are you
sending it to a landing page like how's
the vssl how's the sales page like
there's so many things you know I I do
this for a living I look at business and
I figure out where there's like leaky
holes in the bucket I feel like every
business owner has them and if you do I
would love to help you fill them now
obviously I can do that off the Dome
because I've been doing this a long time
and I know how these businesses work but
for you just understand that email the
job is to make money all right and if
you're sending emails to people they're
going to be sending one a day or once
every two days and you're going to send
so many emails and they're going to be
so good that you're going to make them
more money and the number is most
businesses if they're run properly are
going to get 30% of their total revenue
just from email so you can say that you
can say like you know I'm I'm I'm an
email copy riter my job is to generate
30% of your total revenue through email
are you at that right now and they're
going to be like no and if they're still
interested you're going to be like you

there are always more business owners
that need to be hit there's way too many
for every copywriter in the world to not
have like five or six the reason I know
that is because one of my students signs
a new client from Instagram using this
strategy every single day do you think
that my student who signed a client
their first client today got the last
one there's no more now and now it's all
saturated and even if there is another
one it'll take you two years to find it
no Instagram straight up works okay just
trust me yes maybe it's a little bit
competitive but everything that's worth
doing in life is competitive this is not
you're not going to find an easier path
I don't know who needs to hear this but
there is no magic bullet for finding
clients where it's just like all you got
to do is just go to this random website
that no one's ever heard of and there's
just a gold mine there like nothing's
like that that doesn't exist this is the
