around the corner i just want to provide
you with some options some options of
different freelance sites and platforms
you might want to try out if you're
thinking about getting into freelancing
and one of your goals for the new year
is to make money online and i'll just
point out that these options aren't
ordered in any particular list they are
just what i say they are options they're
all options that are available to you
and if you're brand new to the world of
freelancing you might want to consider
trying out a bunch of them to see which
works best for you the first website

i've either used or had experience with
bribe offers a pretty unique value
proposition to users so if you visit

2010 and it has been growing like crazy
fiverr in my opinion is one of the
biggest freelance websites is a lot of
buyers and a lot of sellers so if you're
someone who's looking to get into
freelancing there's a lot of opportunity
and things you can do on such a large
platform one of the things i like most
about fiverr is they're strictly per gig
pricing model i think that's a great way
to get people into the habit of selling
on value based on price and the other
thing i really like about fiverr is that
it's a super easy platform to get set up
on and start selling your services it's
also super easy for buyers it's really
straightforward they have a clean
checkout process and i've enjoyed my
time on fiverr as a seller for the last
three years so if you want to check out
fiverr link in the description you
should definitely look into it next is
another heavy hitter in the freelance
space that's upwork formerly known as
odesk upwork or odesk or elance whatever
you want to call it was founded back in
1999 and like fiverr is one of the
earlier freelance platforms when
thinking about freelance websites i
always think of you know potentially
spreading yourself out across a lot of
them but i look at a couple as being the
main places to start your business based
on their sheer size fiverr is obviously
one of them and upwork is the other
they're a huge platform and it's a great
place to really stake your flag in the
freelance marketplace like i mentioned
in my bit about fiverr i really like
fiber for per gig pricing what i'm not
so fond about when it comes to upwork is
that the platform is primarily a per
hour pricing model and i know i've made
videos about this and people have
commented that you can do per gig
pricing on upwork but the fact that per
hour pricing is so baked into the
platform's culture i'm not a really big
fan of that because from a freelancer's
perspective
especially for freelancers who are not
really the most skilled negotiators it
can be tough to sell your services for
what they're worth because people are
going to beat you down and look at your
your services like a commodity if
they're just looking at your per hour
price but that being said upwork is
still fantastic option for new
freelancers next is fiverr but fiverr
pro marketplace so fiber pro is
technically a part of fiverr.com but i
list it as a separate freelance
marketplace option for you all because
it is technically a separate part of
fiverr's site fiber pro is a hand-picked
offering where sellers have to actually
apply to become a part of fiber pro and
they say like only one percent of people
actually get in it's a great place for
people who have an existing portfolio
existing work experience or you know a
lot of history in whatever skill they're
selling it's a great place for you to
apply and enter this very exclusive
marketplace i'm a fiverr pro and i've
been at fiverr pro for the last couple
of months and it gives you access to a
totally different type of buyer on the
fiverr platform prices are higher
projects are usually bigger and the
expectations and the stakes are a lot
higher because you're expected to
operate like a seasoned professional so
if you fall into that category you
should definitely check out fiverr pro
as well another great option and this is
one i haven't tried out myself but a lot
of people online consider it a really
great platform is people per hour people
per hour has been around since 2007 and
i'd consider it a pretty established
freelance platform it's one of those
platforms i know a lot of freelancers
you know really trust and a lot of
companies i've heard of a lot of
businesses who purchase services from
people per hour like a lot of these
sites people per hour is great for
people and freelancers with varying
skill sets there's a lot of different
categories and a lot of different
options that you can tap into on people
per hour if you're looking for freelance
platforms this is definitely one you
should also consider last on the list is
guru.com so guru was founded in 1998 so
it's been around for a while and i
actually did a little experiment with
guru a couple months ago it's in my
opinion one of the smaller platforms and
based on what i've seen a little bit of
a lower quality and lower expectation
type of platform it's not my favorite
but it's definitely something you should
try out and consider because it might be
a good option for you one of the things
i didn't really like about guru.com was
the interface it was a little clunky and
as someone who focuses most of my time
on selling on fiverr
it just didn't provide me with the best
experience getting it set up it was just
it didn't flow that well i didn't really
like the user interface i also noticed
that a lot of the
types of services on guru.com weren't
really at the level that i wanted to
sell at as someone who's used to being a
fiber pro seller but for newer
freelancers or people who just want to
diversify that might not really matter
one really solid pro that i am actually
quite fond of when it comes to guru is
ever since i signed up and created an
account i get regular emails from
guru.com letting me know about jobs that
might be potential good matches for my
skill set and this has been pretty cool
in the early days the matches were
pretty ridiculous and weren't really
aligned with what i thought i should be
getting but over time i've noticed that
some of these matches actually align
pretty closely with my skill set and the
profile i created on guru.com so it's a
great option for people who might want
to start on a smaller platform and be a
little bit more proactive in how they
sell if you follow up to these types of
requests you could really you know land
some great deals i'd imagine all right
so these are all the marketplaces i'm
going to be mentioning in this video i
know there are probably a ton more and
more coming out every week just popping
up all over the place but these are some
options that i thought i put in front of
you that you can check out if you're
looking to get into freelancing this
