Transcripts
so I just want to quickly say that I got
this video idea from Dan go so full
credit to him for this video idea I
thought to myself I can do my own
version I'm 31 now I'd love to share 31
pieces of advice to anyone who's in
their late te or 20s also all of these
lessons I've actually already shared in
my newsletter so if you guys aren't
signed up to the newsletter make sure to
sign up the power of tiny changes I love
the book Atomic habits I love the idea
of improving a little bit every single
day and I really feel like those
improvements can massively compound over
time especially when you're in your late
teens or 20s focus on things you can
control time spent on things you can't
control takes away time from things you
can I can control what I eat what I
spend my time on but I can't control
things like other people's actions I
can't control the weather or anything
like that so very much focus on what you
can actually control happiness isn't an
end goal it's always a work in progress
so a lot of people fall into the Trap of
thinking that once you do something once
you achieve something maybe once you get
into a relationship you suddenly find
happiness and I found that is not how it
works at at all happiness is always a
work in progress something that almost
has to always be topped up compounding
is your best friend one of my personal
regrets in life is not investing earlier
I only started investing my money in
sort of my mid-20s I wish I had started
investing soon as I turned 18 if you
have any money left over at the end of
the month after you've paid your bills
whatever invest that money it's nice to
save it of course you should save money
but any extra money that you have please
invest it compounding your money is one
of the most powerful things in the world
and it's something that I feel like
everyone should be doing learn a high
income skill I've made numerous videos
about learning High income skills
acquiring a high income skill on the
channel in the past and I really do feel
like learning a high- income skill can
help you throughout your life and that
perfectly leads into skillshare who are
also sponsoring this video skillshare is
an online learning community where you
can find thousands of classes on topics
like design photography productivity and
more it's perfect for anyone who wants

what they already do they even have

classes that guide you from beginning to
expert so for example I've been wanting
to improve my productivity using notion
so skillshare supercharge your
productivity with notion learning path
has been the perfect way for me to do so
what I love about skillshare is that you
can also learn at your own pace plus
after you take a class you can create a
project and share it with others to get
feedback if you're interested in
learning something new whether it's a
hobby or a skill for your job skillshare
is the place to start the first 500
people who use my link will get a one-
month free trial of skillshare so make
sure to check it out I'll leave a link
to it down in the description below
nothing worth having comes easy anything
in life anything valuable in life
requires some sort of work requires some
sort of effort if it was easy then it
wouldn't be valuable so if you want
things that are valuable in life you're
going to have to work for it choose your
relationships wisely they can either
drain you or make your life infinitely
better be reliable reliable people are
trustworthy when reliable people say
they're going to do something they do it
you know you can depend on them to do it
so if you can be a reliable person you
are going to be much more trustworthy
worthy you're going to be seen as a
person that someone can go to to get
something done if you can be a reliable
person it will take you so far in life
people who are older than you people who
are more successful than you are much
more likely to trust your instinct to
trust what you're going to do to trust
that you're going to get the job done
nothing is more valuable than time you
can leverage money to save you time but
you can never actually buy time so use
your time wisely don't listen to advice
from people who haven't done it so for
example you wouldn't go to a broke
person to get financial advice for them
it doesn't make any sense you wouldn't
go to an overweight person to get advice
on how to get in shape or anything like
that same when it comes to anything in
life I think even parents can apply here
you know parents obviously will
naturally give you advice we try to help
but at the same time you've got to
remember that if your parents or whoever
you look up to hasn't done the specific
thing that you want to do they're
probably not the best person to hear
advice from nobody is coming to save you
unfortunately so many people fall into
this mindset that someone or something
is going to suddenly change their life
when in reality you have to do it
yourself you're the only person that can
truly believe in yourself you're the
only person that can do the thing so do
the thing have hobbies this isn't easy
way to make yourself more interesting to
other people more things to talk about
but more importantly you're also
constantly learning make your own luck
you can literally create your own luck
by working on the right things talking
to the right people and being there at
the right time health is wealth when
you're in your late teens in your 20s
that is the perfect time to have a good
Baseline for your health to build up
your health if you have a Fit Body a fit
mind in your 20s it will compound
massively in the future the right way to
work is like a lion I've actually taken
this from Nal he said this before and
the idea is that when you're working on
something you sprint towards it just
like a lion does and then the rest of
the time you rest you sort of understand
what you've just done and I think that
very much also applies to the real world
when you're learning something when
you're building something when you're
starting a new business whatever it
might be a lot of time you should
actually be spending sort of analyzing
resting and trying to figure out what
your next move is rather than constantly
moving taking yourself too seriously
will make it easy for people to hurt you
with their words and judgment this is
something that I've definitely learned
in my 20s is just not to take myself too
seriously do whatever makes me happy not
really think about what other people
think because if you let other people
hurt you on what they say on the way
they judge you and stuff like that
you're just not going to achieve much
change how you see and use material
objects material objects shouldn't own
you instead you should be using material
objects to either make your life better
or make someone else's life better do
things that are scalable I'm not saying
you should go out and quit your 9 to5
and start a business straight away
because it's scalable what I'm saying is
do things that are more scalable in your
life right now so if you do have a 9 to5
maybe in your job you can ask for some
sort of commission structure some sort
of bonus structure which scales
depending on your personal success in
that business in your job whatever it
might be another thing is investing
investing your money so that it scales
as much as possible and also investing
in yourself your health your knowledge
things like that all of these things are
massively scalable keep doing hard
things when you keep doing hard things
when you keep doing tough things over
time those hard things actually start
becoming easy and then you'll most
likely beat most other people being busy
all the time is nonsense real Freedom
actually comes from being able to use
your time however you like create more
than you consume so I think most people
are in this mode of consuming constantly
Tik Tok Instagram TV whatever it might
be but I really do think you should also
spend 50% of your time creating stuff
using the knowledge that you have stuff
that you've seen TV show Tik Tok
Instagram whever it might be and
actually making something as well active
over passive so a lot of people fall
into the Trap of thinking that they need
to build passive income very quickly but
when you're in your 20s you most likely
don't already have a big fund ready to
go to invest in things that can produce
passive income so focus on making active
income because the active income will
always be passive income wealth over
money and Status wealth is having assets
or Investments that can make money
whilst you sleep you're crazy until you
succeed so most people let's be honest
will expect you to fail if you have a
new business idea if you're starting
something new most people will expect
you to fail and that's completely fine
but all you need is for it to work out
one time and then they consider you a
genius you don't need a morning routine
I see so many people fall into this trap
of you need some very rigid morning
routine I don't have a morning routine I
get up at like 9:00 10 a.m. I don't even
have an alarm and I like to see myself
as quite successful I have the freedom I
a great money I do whatever I want don't
feel like you also need a morning
routine to be successful work smart not
hard a lot of people unfortunately fall
into the Trap of you know if you put in
8 hours of work you'll get 8 hours of
return you know if you work hard 10
hours 12 hours a day whatever it might
be but that just isn't the case
whatsoever it is very much about working
on the right thing so try to figure out
what is that right thing for you try to
figure out what gives you the most
leverage because working smart is always
much better than trying to work hard
always be willing to do the Dirty Work
most people who want to become
entrepreneurs creators or something else
similar usually aren't willing to do the
diety work and because of that they're
not going to make it I found that if you
want to be a Creator if you want to be
an entrepreneur if you want to be a
business person or something similar
like that you have to be willing to do
the Dirty Work you have to be willing to
do the work that no one else wants to do
self-discipline over everything it's
very easy to sort of get motivation to
do something or whatever but in reality
you need discipline to get things done
and also not do things things like
smoking and drinking eating bad food you
need to have the discipline to not do
those things but then you also need to
have the discipline to get stuff done
stop renting your time the moment you
start using leverage to make money is
the moment you start earning with your
mind instead of your time Obsession
beats Talent every time I wasn't a grade
a student I wasn't that great at school
I used to think to myself that you have
to be smart in life that is not the case
whatsoever I've realized that Obsession
and persistence easily beats Talent
every time no one owes you anything you
and only you can make things happen in
your life hopefully you guys enjoyed it
