Atoz sent me their Tesla to CCS adapter to test out if I could charge at a Tesla station

I added a fake Model Y to the Tesla app to search for nearby superchargers

I went to a V3 supercharger, selected the stall in the app, entered payment info and hit start charge

I connected the Atoz adapter to the Tesla connector and plugged it into my car and charging initiated

The charge failed with an error saying unsupported vehicle - you can't trick it

Hopefully other EGMP vehicles get access soon, but can only charge at 100kW now, not full 350kW speeds

Let me know if anyone has inside info on when Hyundai/Kia/Genesis vehicles will get Tesla access

I wanted to share that you can't trick the Tesla system into charging non-supported vehicles

Ford Mach-E can charge at full speed, but EGMP is limited to 100kW on Tesla network for now

Hope we get official access soon rather than trying to trick the system

hey everybody technically Jeff here and

today is a big day for EV charging Ford

owners now officially have access to the

Tesla supercharging Network which is

awesome news for them hopefully some

other manufacturers uh get access here

soon officially but it got me thinking I

wonder if there's a way that I could

trick the supercharger into letting me

charge my K ev6 with an

adapter so a toz sent me their uh Tesla

or nacs to CCS adapter uh to test out

and I haven't been able to test it out

yet yet uh I haven't been able to make

it to uh an EO NCS uh charging station

yet um but with this update I thought

maybe I could I could try this out and

maybe I could trick the system so I took

a look at the Tesla app and it actually

had a recent update where you could go

in and you could add in your vehicle

information um and then when you add

that in when you search for Chargers you

can actually filter for ones that uh

work with your vehicle and when I

filtered by ev6 it didn't show it but

when I filtered by Mai I put in a fake

Mai um vehicle in there it showed

Chargers near me that I could actually

test out so um I decided to make a trip

out to a local supercharger it's a V3

supercharger and I went through

everything in the app you basically

select um the supercharger station that

you're going to you select the stall um

you make sure you have all your payment

information in and all that um and then

you hit start charge and then you have a

minute or so uh to connect everything uh

with the dock um I went ahead and did

that I connected the a toz uh EV adapter

to the Tesla Supercharger connector and

then plugged it into my car and then it

started initiating charging so I got

really excited I was like man this is

going to work and then it failed um I

didn't get a screenshot of it but it

said unsuccessful uh due to uh

unsupported vehicle so um it is talking

to the vehicle you can't trick it in the

app um by telling it you have a Ford

when you don't actually have it um but

anyway I just wanted to share this with

you guys um I don't want you guys

wasting your time trying to go trick the

system uh like I did um but hopefully we

do get access here soon uh to the

supercharger Network I know at least

right now the egmp vehicles since they

are 800 volt uh they aren't able to get

full speeds at Tesla Supercharger uh

stations we get about 100 kilow which

isn't horrible um it's it's decently

fast but it's not as fast as we can get

at uh working Electrify America 350 Kow

stations so uh anyway let me know if you

guys have any questions uh on this uh

let me know if you have uh any thoughts

on Fords having access to the the

supercharger Network let me know if

anybody has any inside information on

when uh Hyundai and Kia and Genesis

vehicles are going to get access uh but
