hi I'm Richard burn in this video I'm
going to show you how to share street
view imagery from Google Earth and
Google Maps there's been a couple of
slight changes since the last time I
made a video about this so thought it
was time to update it let's go ahead and
take a look at how to do this first of
all here I'm in the web version of
Google Earth and I've found the Baseball
Hall of Fame and I want to show my
students or show somebody what it looks
like from the outside at the street
level so over here in the bottom right
corner I'm going to click on the little
Peg
person and we'll see now all the street
view locations highlighted in blue and I
can simply click on a blue
line and that will take me right down
there at street level to look at the
outside of the Baseball Hall of Fame now
I want to share this image this view
with some other people so in the upper
right corner let's click on share and
you can see we can get a QR code or we
can copy this link now if you copy that
link and you paste it people will have
to click on it in order to view the
imagery so for example if I put it here
in my sample Google site and I want to
try to embed it I'm going to get this
message that says can't embed due to
provider site permissions URL will
display as a text link so let's insert
that we're going to see there it's now
just a link and I'm going to need to add
something like hey students click here
to see a view of the Baseball Hall of
Fame
but if I go to Google
Maps and I find that same
street view imagery which I can do by
just again clicking on the little Peg
person and then dragging the peg person
down to the street
level there we are in front of the
Baseball Hall of Fame and maybe I want
to move down a little bit more there we
go there's a better view there's the
whole front of the Baseball Hall of Fame
and I want to share this view to do that
go to the upper left
corner and select share or embed
image and now I want to select embed a
map I'm going to copy that
HTML and if I want to put it in my
Google site or another website platform
that supports
embedding we can do so and here's my
Google site let's click embed I'm going
to use embed
code put in the
HTML and insert it and in Google sites
that make it very easy to
reposition that view by simply clicking
and dragging as you can see
there now if I publish this let's go
ahead and publish it
and now anyone who sees my site will see
this imagery embedded directly into the
page so that's how you can share street
view imagery from Google Earth and from
Maps as always for more things like this
