hey guys we as one Rise
um I wanted to make a quick video
showing you guys how I fixed the
stuttering and the double freeze fast
forward in Elden ring so a problem I had
it just would not stop and it was like
every 10 to 20 seconds I would get a
freeze for like a whole second and then
it would go for like a split second and
then it would freeze again and then it
would like speed up now this was
happening like every 20 seconds
I couldn't play you couldn't fight you
know it was just unfightable right I
tried anything and everything you can
find on Reddit on YouTube on Google of
how to fix it the shadow cage
um I've tried making sure all my drivers
were updated I tried shutting off all
in-game pop-ups overlays
um I tried
everything man I tried playing offline
mode you know I went into Nvidia I
manually set it to where I had vsync on
I mean dude I've tried anything and
everything I deleted Xbox because some
people were saying that was the problem
anything and everything I tried here's
the catch-up at one point in time my
game worked perfectly fine perfectly
fine I had 60 hours plus into this game
and then all of a sudden it started
messing up now I started thinking just
like many of you you guys may have
messed with your Nvidia settings
and mess something up globally now it
could have bugged it out right
um
it could just something could have not
adjusted correctly or downloaded
correctly you know maybe a patch or
update or something was was glitched so
who knows but after trying every single
one of those if none of those have
worked for you then this is what I
recommend for you so I'm gonna show you
guys some actual gameplay
power while it's running I mean it feels
great to actually be able to play the
game now I am in my settings guys
we are in 1920x1080 on high everything
high right now
I'm on a GTX 1650 16 gigabytes of RAM
it's an i7 with 3.4 gigahertz and
I think I only have six gigs of
different right so nothing crazy and I'm
playing the game on high almost Vlogs
now I will say on high I do get some
frames dropping every now and then but
it's nothing like it was and I'll show
you guys I'm not getting the three
degrees
I'm also running software to record
right now and I can stream and play the
game
now that makes a huge difference when
you're in the middle of the boss fight
and all that and now this is where I
could turn it down to medium to just
pull this out
so I'm sure you guys want all the big
stuff right what did I do so what I did
I did a factory reset
when I first got my computer and I
opened it up I didn't mess with anything
I plugged it in and started playing I
bought Elden ring it was playing
flawlessly
somewhere along the line I started doing
manual tweaks
globally to my Nvidia driver you know
and for specific specific apps trying to
enhance my gameplay or push it to the
max
somewhere along the line
something I have no idea it could have
been a file I downloaded a driver that
updated wrong
something something messed up and it was
messing with Alden ring and after this
I'm getting phenomenal performance in my
Elden ring
and in other games
significant increase
all this I did
I backed up my saved data unseen
all my games uh any other games that I
had to like say you know origins or
blizzard stuff like that you know I
tried to back up all my saved data
and then I did a factory reset factories
reset my PC I upgraded to Windows 11 in
the process of factory reset so I didn't
wait until I got in and then updated to
Windows 11 in the factory reset process
as if I wanted to do the upgrade I said
yes I love it so far when those 11 is
pretty cool
tobacco reset I did the windows 11
upgrade and in that process
everything
so
again I don't know if it's something we
do in our Nvidia control panel I'll
update that installed you know
incorrectly
something we may have downloaded or
glitched out on our PC but the amount of
people having this problem with no fix
after trying everything
I think personally is something with the
Nvidia driver
and
when we factory reset it and then
updated everything seems to be fine
I mean I don't know
you know
like the Xbox
game app I haven't reinstalled that so
be real if you don't try to reinstall
that
but I mean the game works obviously if
you have tried everything at this point
back up your save data
factory reset man
I will actually show you guys combat but
remember this is
stand on top of all of that I was just
streaming over on my twitch
the game is actually playable now minor
mine are frame drops are in there
by 16.50
it feels so good because I knew the game
ran good because at one point in time it
already did you know now somewhere along
the line like I said it just started
messing up
from software it's not dude and if it is
whoa it only happened the first time
this time so
if you've tried everything and cannot
meet your game before properly I highly
recommend just a little bit between
factories that get rid of everything
like everything and then just
re-download your save data that's what I
did here
um
in case there was something in there
which just has an extra precaution
um but yeah I mean this is what I
recommend sorry if you guys hear my dog
over there
I mean the game's working flawlessly
highly recommend it now your PC can't
handle High that's totally fine it's
totally normal
on Lower medium settings
[Applause]
don't know what it is yet oh when I
started this again I could start I'll
just show you guys
and that save works fine too
it's nothing with like a save
it's not to save that as brother
but yeah I'm sorry I'm trying to make
this one uh
[Music]
and I'm gonna load in my other character
real quick and show you guys like I said
everything works totally Flawless guys
I hope it works for you if you do this
uh I have a slight cold right now as
well
stuffy nose but so here we go look we're
gonna upload my level 31 guy
I've noticed
significant Improvement I mean night and
day I don't even mind the FPS dropping
here and there and and more detailed
areas just because of what I was dealing
with with the freezing and the
stuttering I mean it was unplayable I
tried lowering the resolution as low as
I could go you know I tried lowering
everything was on those settings I mean
dude I tried every single thing because
nothing was working
nothing was worth
here we go I mean it was it would have
already did it multiple times like I
said it was every freaking couple
seconds it was unplayable guys it really
was now when The Games first loads in
you might get a slight like delay in the
loading but once you're in you're in I'm
in and
yeah that's what worked for me guys
I hope it works for you guys man good
luck give it a shot
let's go man
remember this guy
now I suppose I'm free I can do whatever
takes my fan I mate
yeah man I mean there you have it my
game is back to running optimal how it
should be flawlessly running great uh
feels great looks great love it give it
a shot if all else fails hope it works
let me know in the comments thank you
guys
