🎮 Improving in Valiant: Aim, Knowledge, and Patience
Yapper The Immortal discusses the common desire among players to rank up in the game Valiant and the challenges faced in doing so. He emphasizes that ranking up is about outperforming peers rather than the game being inherently difficult. Yapper introduces the concept of breaking down aim into three categories: flicking, micro corrections, and smoothness, and suggests using Aim Lab and a specific website to analyze and improve these aspects. He advises players to focus on their weakest aim category first and to balance aim training with game knowledge and patience. Yapper also touches on the importance of game knowledge, including understanding agent abilities, strategies, and in-game mechanics, and encourages players to learn and apply this knowledge effectively.
🤫 The Art of Patience in Gaming
Continuing from the previous paragraph, Yapper delves into the importance of patience as a key skill in Valiant. He explains that having good game knowledge alone is not sufficient; players must also know when to apply this knowledge effectively. Yapper suggests that impatience can lead to premature actions and missed opportunities, whereas patience allows players to capitalize on the right moments. He offers a simple self-assessment method for players to determine if patience is their weakest skill by reflecting on their frustration levels and repeated failures despite knowing the game well. Yapper concludes by encouraging players to work on their patience to improve their ability to recognize and act on opportunities in the game.

what's up guys I'm yapper The Immortal 3
zapper enjoy the
video everyone wants a higher rank
bronze players want silver silver
players gold plot players want diamond
even radiant players often want to take
it to the next level and some even lose
motivation to play the game all together
because they fail to find that new
motivation typically when your teammates
o 20 it's an X radiant longing for the
sweet juice of a new rank I mean they
can't rank up anymore so now they want
to experience ranking down sorry not
funny anyways my point is ranking up can
seem hard but it's not like ranking up
is actually hard because all you got to
do to get better at the game is be
better than the other people in your
rank the issue is that everyone over
complicates the game and it's not even
your fault though if you're unsure if
your aim is bad I'm going to need you to
download aim lab why because there's
nowhere inside valant where you can
accurately analyze every aspect of your
aim unfortunately valerant isn't just
flicking good aim inv valant can
actually be broken down into three
categories flicking micro Corrections
and
smoothness once you've downloaded aimlab
just go on to this website right here
I'll link it down for you below they
literally just created a valerant
Benchmark section where you can see your
aim equivalent rank simply by playing
the tasks flick Tech is for Flicks
micros is for micro Corrections and
stability is for smoothness yeah it's
going to take a bit of time to play each
scenario uh in order to get the rank but
if you want to improvision a player I
think it's really important you do this
um if you don't know where your current
aim is at it's going to be harder to
judge whether or not aim is what you
need to focus on once you are ranked in
each category it becom comes super clear
what you need to work on and what you
need to do in order to prove your game
I'd focus on the aspect of your aim that
you're ranked the lowest on first if
your ranks are already higher than your
ranks in valerant then you don't need to
focus on AIM training at least for the
time
being if your aim is already passed your
current valerant rank good for you I'm
proud of you little guy this means that
focusing on either knowledge or patience
is actually going to yield you a quicker
progress than aim training more
if your rank is indeed lower than your
in-game rank simply start aim training
more until you even out the scores a
little
bit now some people are going to argue
otherwise on this but me personally I
just play The valerant Benchmark
scenarios for training as opposed to
having a separate routine to train on
and then like benchmarking yourself I
just don't like doing it like that um
the way I do it you can see immediate
progress from each high score that you
get um but yeah it's pretty simple
if your aim is above your current rank
guess what time to move on let's talk
about knowledge and no I don't mean game
sense by knowledge I'm talking about how
much do you know about the game period
do you know guns spray patterns what
good Crosser placement looks like good
movement agent abilities how to use them
basic strategy we got playing the bomb
rushing sight split pushing sight
playing retake crossfires
lurking the list could go on forever but
you get the point game knowledge it's
pretty easy you either know things about
the game or you don't if there are
things you don't know then you know go
and learn about those things learning
about them will help you improve as a
player immediately some of these things
are improved in the game by actually
playing ranked so if you're scared to
play ranked you just have to queue up
and learn it over time inside ranked
you're going to learn the ability
that are commonly used how they're used
and over time your game sense will
develop naturally you'll start
recognizing patterns of how people play
what they do and you'll start reacting
to the enemy's plays more
quickly all right so I guess game sense
is partially covered in knowledge but I
say only partially because I feel like
While most players have a decent
understanding of the game the way they
apply the knowledge is imperfect and
that's the key point I'm making here
knowing the game is one thing applying
what you know is completely different if
you're a little confused don't worry I
got you improving your game knowledge is
simple you just need to do research
which can be something as simple as
watching educational content about the
game um and then actually play the game
actually play rank to gain experience I
feel like it's pretty straightforward
but I don't know and then finally last
but not least we have
patience are ibly the most important
skill you can develop in valerant is the
ability to be patient remember when I
mentioned applying what you
know I like to think of patience as that
knowing how to apply your knowledge once
you know everything about the game
you're going to know what needs to be
done and you're going to want to do it
as fast as possible I mean obviously why
wouldn't you I need a rush asight I need
a peek with d flash out take sight plant
bomb let me just stop you
there simply knowing what needs to be
done isn't enough we also need to know
when to do it and that's where patience
comes in you need to have the patience
to wait for the opportunities if you
have good game knowledge then you will
easily be able to recognize when
opportunities arise and when they do
simply capitalize on them and so
patience is extremely beneficial without
it you may Peak too early and die but if
you just had the patience to wait that
extra second for the enemy to turn to
clear that next angle well it's a
completely different story so you're
probably starting to get the point here
but how do you know if this is your
biggest weakness well it's actually
super easy to know if patience is your
biggest weakness simply if you feel like
nothing's working no matter what you
try then I would say it probably is your
issue this is because because you
wouldn't be so frustrated if you didn't
already know a lot about the game I'm
guessing You' have tried everything from
peing with one movement key to improving
cross placement angle Advantage you name
it and yet you still get one tapped
every time you fight I'm telling you
work on your patience in doing so more
opportunities will be presented to you
and not only will you get better at
recognizing these opportunities but you
will get better at acting on them
properly too and so
I'll leave you with this
