nobody mentions the right marketing strategies that drive customers. In this video I will share Â
three essential marketing strategies for every SaaS startup or business, so if you will Â
use them in the way I recommend you to do, I guarantee that you will get more customers. So Â
let's waste no more time and jump straight to our strategies. The first one I want to talk about is Â
influencer marketing. I know that you know about influencers, bloggers, how to buy paid promotions Â
and so on, but I want to dive deep into this one. When I was running a web development studio and Â
we were building web applications and websites for startups and established companies, we noticed Â
an interesting thing: at that time I was already planning to build my own SaaS company so I learned Â
a lot about marketing strategies of our clients. The most quality leads in the B2B and B2C sector Â
came exactly from influencers, but this, one of course, is not applicable to all influencers and Â
that's the reason why you should not look at the number of subscribers this or that influencer has Â
but to focus on quantity. When I say Quantity I mean getting as lots of paid promotions and Â
mentions as possible. I recommend looking more at micro influencers as their promotions are Â
much more effective in terms of engagement and trust, you should understand that not every TikTok Â
video, Instagram stories or YouTube shorts of your influencer will give you desired results Â
it's pretty random I would say. But usually when one of the videos of your influencer goes viral Â
other videos start getting views and as a result you start having leads first, and customers later.
All right, but how to reach influencers and offer partnership? ĐĄreate a script first. This one is the Â
most time-consuming I would say. It should be short and straight to the point. For the subject line Â
I recommend writing one of the following: Name + partnership opportunity or partnership proposal. Â
if you will also add an emoji called hand shaking or something similar, it would be even better.
First line just one short sentence that you like one of the latest influencer videos and tell why, simple Â
and short, no small talk here. Next line - introduce yourself, tell your name and what your startup or Â
business does in simple words. Next line is your offer. Your offer should be clear and short, avoid Â
salesy phrases, just straight to the point. The next line is your call to action: Please respond Â
to this email if you're interested so I can share the details, or another one, let me know if you are Â
interested so we can jump on a call and I will share the details. I'm attaching several email templatesÂ
that worked for us when we contacted influencers with the potential partnership request.
The next stage is about sending follow-ups. Usually follow-ups are sent within three business Â
days after you've sent the first email with the offer. Focus on sending at least three follow-ups Â
with a three day gap between them. Remember, sending follow-ups is crucial, 70% of sales representatives Â
send only one email to prospects, but 80% of sales require up to five follow-ups. And basically that's it. Â
One more important point to mention here, how to measure the success of your influencers marketing campaign? Â
Conversion rate. Share unique promo codes, affiliate links and UTM links to track their clicks
and conversions. Engagement rate. Usually micro influencers have the higher engagement rate,
but as we talked before, focus more on quantity, more paid promotions from different influencers Â
so you can find the best one that gives you more profit. Influencers' consistency. It's all about how Â
frequently influencers post on social media. Your goal is to find influencers who do it on a regular basis, Â
it will give you better results. So one more time talking about influencers it's a game of numbers here,
it's time consuming, it's not cost-effective, but it's worth it, believe me. Jumping into our nextÂ
marketing strategy. High Conversion Hero Banner Strategy. This one might sound a little Â
bit unusual, but it's worth your attention. A lot of founders and businesses ignore this kind of marketing strategy, Â
but it's essential if you want to convert traffic to leads and then to paying customers. So the Â
first thing here is about your website's first impression. It always matters! Work on your web design
and make it custom, even if you use no code builders or any kind of website builders, spend $20
on design template and make it look good. Next thing I want to talk about is positioning your productÂ
or service on the market. By positioning I mean the first headline that potential customer Â
will see when he enters your website for the first time. Here are two main templates you can use:
the first one is about mentioning the company's or product's name in one or two, or maximum three words Â
and tell what kind of problem you solve, how you help others, and what your software could do. Â
The second template is similar and it's all about mentioning your target audience and how you Â
can help them to solve problems. Sub headline's purpose is usually to expand the headline. Â
In other words you continue to tell more about your company, benefits and why your potential customers Â
should choose you. Next one is about your call to action buttons. Single, bright color button Â
with the additional call to action link works the best in terms of conversion. Basically you give Â
your potential customer a choice to make an action towards your app, start a free trial for example
or to learn more about your app's pricing plans by clicking on the link. But there is a high chanceÂ
that you will lose this customer, if he clicks on the link, so I recommend leaving Â
only a bright color call to action button. So the idea of these buttons is to make your potential Â
customer click and make sure he will stay on your website as long as it's possible. Next thing I want Â
to talk about is a trust factor. It should be any kind of achievements or reviews or both.Â
And basically that's it. Nothing to add here, moving to our next marketing strategy. Email marketing.Â
Email marketing is also super important, because email marketing is not only about sending emails Â
or creating email marketing campaigns for your customers, it's all about building relationships.
By email marketing I don't mean only Gmail or your corporate email messages, it could Â
be any message sent to potential customers on social media for example. When we've talked Â
about influencer marketing, contacting influencers you can do via email, so email marketing is also involved here.Â
Another use of email marketing you all know is about generating B2B or B2C leads.Â
In most cases people give up after sending two or 300 emails because they don't get any response, but the Â
average response rate for sales prospecting emails is between 1% and up to 3%, so for every 1,000 emails sent, Â
if you have 20 responses, it's pretty good! And we are talking about responses only not about
making sales. Here another mistake I see quite often is that founders or salespeople are Â
trying to make sales in the first message. without warming up your leads, they will stay leads forever Â
and you will never convert them into paying customers. Also people forget to send follow-ups Â
and statistically speaking 60% of customers say no four times before saying yes. So if you are sending Â
