telah meluncurkan 21 episode Merdeka Belajar
yang menyentuh berbagai aspek pendidikan.
Tujuan utama dari Merdeka Belajar adalah mendorong perbaikan kualitas
dan pemulihan dari krisis pembelajaran
khususnya melalui Kurikulum Merdeka
yang kami luncurkan bersama Platform Merdeka Mengajar
sebagai Merdeka Belajar episode ke-15.
Saya sangat mengapresiasi inisiatif ibu dan bapak kepala sekolah
dan guru di lebih dari 140 ribu satuan pendidikan
yang telah memilih menerapkan kurikulum merdeka
pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 ini.
Sekolah yang menerapkan kurikulum Merdeka nantinya
akan merasakan tiga keunggulan dari kurikulum ini.
Pertama, Kurikulum Merdeka fokus pada materi esensial
sehingga guru tidak terburu-buru dalam mengajar,
bisa lebih memperhatikan proses belajar murid
dan menerapkan pembelajaran yang mendalam.
Kedua, kurikulum merdeka memberi jam pelajaran khusus
bagi pengembangan karakter
melalui project penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila.
Ketiga, Kurikulum Merdeka memberi fleksibilitas bagi sekolah
untuk merancang kurikulum operasionalnya sendiri
dan bagi guru untuk menyesuaikan pembelajaran
dengan tingkat kemampuan muridnya.
Kerangka Kurikulum Merdeka yang fleksibel akan memudahkan sekolah
termasuk yang minim fasilitas atau berada di wilayah terpencil
untuk merancang pembelajaran yang sesuai kebutuhannya.
Khususnya untuk jenjang SMA,
kami telah menghapus penjurusan
dan memberikan keleluasaan bagi peserta didik untuk memilih mata pelajaran
sesuai dengan minat dan rencana karirnya.
Saat ini kami juga sedang menata kembali skema masuk perguruan tinggi negeri
agar sejalan dengan prinsip pembelajaran dalam Kurikulum Merdeka.
Dengan mengedepankan konsep kemerdekaan dalam proses belajar,
tidak ada paksaan bagi sekolah untuk menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka.
Di tahun ajaran 2022-2023
sekolah dapat menerapkannya dengan tingkat yang berbeda-beda
sesuai kesiapannya masing-masing.
Oleh karena itu saya meminta agar Pemerintah Daerah dan Dinas Pendidikan
tidak memaksakan tingkat penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka.
Yang perlu dilakukan adalah membentuk
dan mengaktifkan komunitas-komunitas belajar,
yaitu komunitas bagi para guru
untuk bersama-sama mempelajari dan menerapkan berbagai materi
yang sudah ada di platform Merdeka Mengajar.
Dengan komunitas belajar inilah para guru bisa berkolaborasi,
berbagi praktik baik,
dan melakukan refleksi atas penerapan kurikulum merdeka
di kelasnya masing-masing.
Kami di Kemendikbudristek tentunya akan terus mendampingi
proses penerapan kurikulum merdeka
melalui UPT di daerah dan menyediakan berbagai materi pelatihan
di platform Merdeka Mengajar.
