the Bape Edition model it still has

first of all this is a really high

performance laptop with a core I9

processor but the build quality just

is just terrible for modern laptop

standards so Asos has finally fixed the

problem with this new Viva book that you

see right here this is the Asus Viva

book s16 olad which has obviously a

bigger screen than the os5 ol that and

it has so many things that is fixed it

has a significantly better build quality

better performance as well which creates

another problem why would you even want

to consider a mainstream

zambo now when I first saw the Asus Viv

book s16 Olf for the first time I was

truly overwhelmed by the updates that

Asus has done over the previous Viva

book S Series now as you guys know the

Viva book S Series has always been the

high performance Viva book series which

kind of sometimes contradicts with the

zamb book series even though like the

zamb book series is more of the premium

product here but this thing right here

the Viva book s16 olad is becoming a

really nice premium product at an

affordable price tack now let's start

off by what Asus has updated on the s16

OLED over the O S15 ol now starting with

this build quality here now as you can

see it is made out of entirely magnesium

and Loy material there's no uh cheap

Flex plastic material to be found right

there now of course I'm not suggesting

that um the S15 OLED has a terrible

build quality but still you kind of feel

that it feels very plasticky but the s16

OLED here feels a lot more refined as

compared to the Viv book S15 OLED now

what you find right on the front here is

a way more simpler design it's more

minist that's just a Asus vable branding

on the front here which I think is a

really nice touch and Asus isn't

introducing like some stickers that you

can stick on top of the laptop here and

look at this art design on the top here

it actually looks very nice looks very

elegant and one thing that I super

excited is that this is finally no

longer a bulky laptop look at how slick

it is and according to Asus this laptop

weighs just 1.5 kg which is actually

pretty lightweight for a 16in laptop now

another update that I really like in

terms of design is the working area look

at how big the trackpad is here as

compared to the one on the Vivo book S15

Ola this is a significantly larger

trackpad that I think is almost the same

size as my 16-in MacBook Pro and I think

this is a really nice update Asus has

done here the keyboard layout is similar

but the keys are more squash ship this

time key travel is good the typing

experience is really nice and you now

get a co-pilot key on the keyboard which

is nice if you use Microsoft co-pilot on

Windows but to be honest I kind of find

this key a little annoying because I

frequently use the control key on the

right side of the keyboard um so yeah

that's something that I'll have to get

used to and the number pad Still Remains

pretty small as compared to the Viva

book S15 olad now uh Asus has also

updated the coing vents on this laptop

here it is now no longer at the side but

in fact it ventilat hit through the back

of the laptop which I think is a really

nice move if you're doing something

really heavy on the laptop and you don't

want hit the scal your hands while

you're using your mouse and all that but

most importantly I really love that Asus

has finally introduce better iOS on this

laptop now on the left side you finally

get two USBC ports one that supports USB

4.0 speeds and the other one that still

supports USB 3.2 which is still nice at

least with get any crappy USB 2.0 ports

anymore and on the right side you get

two usba a ports and fortunately they do

operate on USB 2 anymore they operate on

USB 3.2 gen one speed now that is an

upgrade and also you get a Micro SD card

slot for you know transferring your

files and you expend storage to a Micro

SD card if you want to now that is

something I always think laptop should

really have because despite how tein

they are adding a Micro SD card slot

really isn't such a big deal

now if you realize in the laptop Market

recently there's quite a number of

brands that has updated their old 15-in

laptops to become 16in screens which I

think it makes a lot of sense because I

think a lot of people now tend to

appreciate the 16 by10 aspect ratio and

having a 16inch display means you can

actually see more do more and have more

vertical space for productivity now the

Vivo book s16 olad here has a 16in 3.2k

olap display which I think it looks very

nice it is bright colors pop and there's

decent brightness even if you want to

use it outdoors and this screen

unfortunately is still not a touchcreen

which I think is fine because to be

honest uh Windows kind of sucks when it

comes to touch screen and I'm really

glad that it still has this 180 Dee

hinge so that you can just show like

your opposite party on what you're

working on and all that so this is

something that I really love what ASO

has maintained over the Vivo book S15 ol

now um there's one thing that I forgot

to mention is that Asus has decided to

put in RGB lighting for the keyboard

which I have no idea why is that so I

mean this is not a gaming laptop by

almonds but yeah it has RGB lighting

here that kind of circles all the time

there's no way to customize the RGB

lighting unfortunately but then yeah I

think it's something that's really nice

that Asus has decided that you know to

put some RGB lighting onto the keyboard

here now on to the performance of this

laptop depending on your preference the

vi book s16 OLED is available ailable in

both Intel Core Altra or AMD ryzen 8000

series processors my unit here is the

AMD ryzen model which has an AMD ryzen 7

8845 HS processor with 16 gigs of RAM

and 512 gigs of storage now I am a

little disappointed by the storage that

Asus is offering here because for the

price that you're paying for this laptop

you should in fact get a one tab storage

because ssds are no longer expensive now

so yes there's no excuse that Asus

shouldn't be offering that but

thankfully you can upgrade the storage

of this laptop if you want to but

unfortunately the ram here isn't

upgradeable yep so in terms of

performance I have to say that this

laptop has performed really well during

my twoe usage I've been using this for

lightweight 4K video editing on cap card

and a little bit on Premier Pro as well

and I've also done a little bit of

lightweight gaming and I have to say

that this laptop does very well in terms

of performance there's no thermal tring

at all because this laptop has two

cooling fence inside that ventilates out

of the chassis which I think is great

and finally um in terms of battery life

uh it's actually not too bad Asus claims

up to 14 hours considering it as a 70 W

hour battery that's powering this laptop

so according to my rear whe test it

basically last up to about 8 hours if

I'm on battery saver mode which I think

is pretty decent even though it's not

that close to Asus claim of 14 hours but

yep if you ever like run out of battery

I'm just really happy that this laptop

can't be fast charge using a USBC PD

charger up to 90

wats finally let's talk about value the

Vivo book s16 OLED that I have here

retails for just

4,599 ring which if you consider the

benefits and the performance that you're

getting out of this machine it's just

crazy on how Asus is pricing this

competitively compared to other brands

out there I mean you are finally getting

the right amount of ports as compared to

the older Vivo BS you're getting really

great performance with the AMD Ryon 788

45 HS processor or even if you go for

the Intel core outra processors it's

going to offer you a really really good

Computing experience as compared to the

older VI books and compared to other

mid-range laptops that you find in the

market but most importantly this thing

here weighs really light at just 1.5 kg

and you're just getting so much benefits

out of this sck machine which to be

honest like I said the problem is that

there's really really no need to

consider like asus's s books which cost

more probably but probably doesn't even

offer that kind of performance you're

getting out of the s16 olad all right so
