After all, he posted one more video of his daily life without understanding the mystery of this giant.

From that point on, he never appeared in the media again.

The urban legend industry was abuzz saying "What was it all about? Was this all a fake?"

But then, he made an unexpected appearance on the Internet one last time.

It was an obituary report on a local news site.

I think everyone has heard of him at least once,

but it is not only his science fiction works that he is famous for.

He was able to see into the future with great accuracy.

In 1933, there is a sentence written in the "The Shape of Things to Come."

This is about 30 years before nuclear weapons were developed.

He put that into the story before the discovery of the nuclear chain reaction.

He is a real genius.

There is no doubt about that, but where is this story headed?

One thing I can say first, many people have been influenced by his works.

Winston Churchill is one, and Leo Szilard, the physicist who actually helped develop the atomic bomb, was inspired by his work.

He says that Wells taught him what the massive release of atomic energy would mean.

So in September of 1933, Szilard got the inspiration for the chain reaction.

So, people were actually inspired and influenced by his works.

There is quite a pattern of making that happen in reality.

For example, there have been stories about going to the moon before Wells,

as far back as the second century.

Scientist Robert Goddard, the father of rockets,

designed the world's first liquid-fuel rocket engine, inspired by the technology in Wells' novel.

That led to the Apollo program later.

And in fact, tanks are also famous, going back to Da Vinci's drawings of the design.

Just the same year that Wells published his novel,

an engineer named Leon Levavasseur published the blueprints for this tank called the Levavasseur project.

So the idea has been around for a long time,

but when Wells put it in his works, many people were influenced by them and actually made it into a real object.

If that is the first, then why did Wells know so much?

Wells had a lot of knowledge and talent in science, history, social criticism, philosophy, art, and so on.

Why is that? Because he had interaction with the elite class of the time.
