Transcripts
all well good morning to everyone good
morning as we get ourselves properly
prepared here I hope you guys are ready
for a good
lesson or lessings we're going to see
how things go this morning we starting
off a little bit little bit rough but we
getting things back on shape so those
words being said I ask that you may
stand to your feet and we're going to
have a word of prayer and we'll see how
things transpire here this morning so
shall we pray father it's once again
upon this hour and upon this day that
each and every one of us come to you now
dear Lord with a thankful and humble
heart we thank you dear Lord once again
for allowing us to set foot inside these
walls that we as one people may come
together dear Lord and talk about and
dialogue about what sayth this your word
and we ask as always dear Lord that you
would give us some wisdom from on high
that we all might be able to maybe
interpret or see something that we
hadn't seen before and also shared yet
with others we ask right now dear Lord
as we go over this word that you would
be director that you would guide us and
what it is you would have for us to do
upon this day for it's in Jesus name
truly that we give this prayer amen amen
amen so I know we all are ready this
morning aren't
we today is the I think it's officially
the first day of fall yes it's the first
day of fall and but it's the last lesson
that we have of unit number one not the
last lesson for the quarter but of unit
one because as we know each and every
quarter we have how many lessons
H each and every quarter how many
lessons all together 13 it's always 13
but if you know if you divid it in three
that can't be a even number so this
particular unit one only had three
lessons uh unit two is going to have
five and our final one will have six
lesson that we will cover but as with
these lessons all of them fall under
themes and that of
titles as we know the overall theme h
five or six five maybe the next one has
six but usually they divided somewhere
in that fashion where you have three
five and six or sometimes one and like
last quarter I think we had unit one had
10 lessons but you always end up with 13
in some shape form or fashion
there but today what we're going to do
primarily starting out is somewhat of
review I would say because we missed
last week right which meant that we
didn't have that lesson so did everybody
study that lesson I'm quite sure you did
then you had today's lesson which I'm
quite sure you studied that one also so
basically we had a theme of three
lessons but we have two that we have to
cover today leading up to this so what
we're going to do right now is primarily
review just to get us back on track
because I don't know about you when you
miss a Sunday seem like you've been gone
for a long time and things kind of slip
by so what we're going to do this
morning do a review with you Scholars so
the first thing you going to do is this
take your Sunday school books and just
close them up because I know y'all don't
need
them everybody studied everybody's ready
everybody remember the things we talked
about previously so I know you have an
understanding of this and I'm not going
to bring up anything that you don't
already know or haven't already
heard uh Sonia would tell you as she
says of Rend Jackson he said take notes
and not naps so I hope you took notes
this entire time we've been going over
this because that overall theme you
remember was two prophets of God the
first thing we talked about was not who
the two individuals were but we said
what is a prophet so what is a
prophet what is your definition or what
do you think a prophet is and we talked
about this each and every week leading
up to the
day
someone to be okay Helen's correct
anybody else want to help her out add to
that
H predicts the
future anything
else a prophet I mean you're right I we
just try to pull it out of
everybody oh yeah that that is true not
always welcome son that that's part of
being a prophet you're not always
welcome seem like pretty much most of
the time they weren't welcome at all the
way it seemed but a prophet Millie um
someone that Di
one who proclaims his word you know I've
always said a prophet is one who brings
forth the future revelation of God they
have yet to be revealed a prophet is one
who is proclaimer of God's word a
prophet also can be one that God has
placed you could say certain powers upon
that they can bring about what we call
Miracles but often times Prophet would
bring forth the future things other
words something hasn't happened yet but
most certainly is going to happen and
they have all this not because of their
own ability but how do they have all
these things no God gives it to each and
everyone as he feels free to give it we
have two prophets we're dealing with we
only been talking about one thus far and
that one Prophet is who Man by the name
of Daniel and you'll find in unit one we
dealt with faithful service of Daniel
and his friends so we know who Daniel is
now this one might be a little bit
tricky but we cover this in great
detail it says and friends what were the
names of Daniel's friends they god-given
names we're looking for the god-given
names okay they're government names how
about
that remember their names they're more
important than the uh you could say the
slave Nam that they were given but more
the actual
names that's something I want you to
always try to remember that because that
is true truly their names and you'll
find throughout the Bible they bring up
these names unless they're standing
before let's say the king at that time
of Babylon and so on then they would use
their slave names or the Bible speak of
their slave
names let's start off first we got
Daniel right then he had three
friends we know the slave names right
we'll get to those in a second does a
name hananiah rings a
bell that was the first one
the next
one you might pronounce a little
differently but I call it
mishal and then the last one was
aoria those were the names of the
individuals that we often call what's
the first one
Shadrach wait a minute who was that last
one okay I'm making sure we get that
right cuz often time we say abendigo but
if you look at the spelling of it you
know it's AR Aramaic it's Abed
Abednego those were the slave names that
were given unto them and in dealing with
these individuals you'll find that they
truly were slaves now
Daniel what was his slave
name you don't see Daniel slave name you
but a few
times it was a name similar of one of
the Kings but I'm not going to go into
that part of the
lesson Daniel slave name name was belt
like b l t shazar later there another
king called Bel shazar but Daniel's
known as belt chazar so he had a slave
name also but the writer just so nothing
is lost in the translation typically
doesn't use that name they use his
actual name of the Prophet which was
that of Daniel and to go back over our
lessons our first one was Daniel honors
you remember God's
law now to bring us into these lessons
you'll find that you had a king named
Nebuchadnezzar of what we call the
Babylonian
Empire they became known as Babylonians
because that was the name of their
capital city but these people had
another name which is often used in the
Bible back and forth with Babylonians
anybody remember their name of this
people you think about it Babylon was
actually just a city it wasn't the
people they took that name on later but
they had a name before they were called
Babylonians starts with a sea
calans calans was the actual name of the
people and sometime you'll find they'll
say the king of Babylon so and so and so
and so then it say and the Chans did
what was it two different people it's
one and the same the wrer just goes back
and forth but King Nebuchadnezzar of the
calans known to us as the
Babylonians invaded Israel on three
separate occasions the first time was
605 BC this is when he came in and took
many of the people away into what we
call captivity and he took as they say
some of the choice people of the palace
and when he took these people into
captivity they were to be educated in
the Babylonian ways and their cultures
and their language and their you can say
they are sign and soor from there and
then after a certain amount of years
they would then be presented before King
Nebuchadnezzar and he would choose among
them who would serve him in his Palace
so we know among these many people that
were taken into captivity it was Daniel
hananiah mishel and
aaria but also you'll find that when
they were taken into captivity they said
they would be trained for a certain
amount of years and then bought before
the
king how many years had to pass by
before he brought to the
king three years that three years is
very important to understand because
keep in mind with the Bible and we did a
I think a small bit on this earlier
don't give us dates but we can judge the
time frame from the events that took
place because if they were taking into
captivity in 605 BC three years have
gone by so what is the official date
now I got 608
BC what's the
date look I got Milli eyes rolling here
when are you doing BC see you're
counting down you don't you don't go up
so if it's 605 take away three it is now
602 BC and just how to keep dates of
things CU later like said we won't cover
all this but Daniel was around for a
long time because after King
Nebuchadnezzar you'll find you had King
Bazar after King Bazar you had King
Darius after Darius you had aeres after
aeres you had the Persian Empire which
came in under King
Cyrus and they'll tell you the day that
they came and you have to keep these
dates in your mind therefore they know
what year it is because usually they
don't put the years down but small piece
of detail but very important in
understanding the concept of the Bible
but you'll find that they now were told
they were to come to the king's Palace
but they would now eat of the king's
meat and drink of the King's Wine and
then be presented before the king but
leading into this you mind you remember
that God had certain law for the nation
of Israel right there were certain foods
that they had to eat had to be prepared
in a certain way and there were certain
things that they were not allowed to
drink this is what opens our lesson up
because it starts off in that lesson you
remember with dealing with
how Daniel had now put forth this
request that he could not eat of the
king's table or drink of the King's Wine
and what was the reason why
outside of God's law thr a little trick
not it's not really a trick we look like
outside of his
law he said I couldn't eat this but he
gives us a reason and we talked about
both sides when I bring this up you can
say yeah we did talk about that there
were two reasons why he would not eat of
the king's meat or drink of the T King's
Wine one because it would be
disrespecting God cuz God had put the
laws into place and this is what you are
to do and this is the man
and he was one who followed God's ways
but then there's another reason that was
stated in that scripture he said I would
not defile
myself notice he said there I would not
defile myself so what does that
mean come on folks how you know
this he not going to Def himself by
disrespect
true and she's dead right I wanted her
to keep on with what you started off
with though I mean you're
right anybody else would add to that
because G is right but she said
something at the very beginning of her
statement but then you somewhat deviated
from it you went back to
God but keep in mind he did not want you
said lower himself because he said I'm
not going to defile myself other words
we talked about how you remember we
said that we are no better than anybody
else are we as as people El you know
people have different morals and
characters and so on but as people you
know you're no better than anybody else
none of us are but we also want them to
know you know better than I am so don't
know who that so what Daniel was saying
was he's up here to do this I'm bringing
myself down here he said I'm not going
to lure myself I'm not going to
disrespect myself also and disrespect
God by succumbing to the ways of the
world and following your Customs he said
I will not do this he says so he put
forth the request to the king side to
the prince of the Unix a man it wasn't
out scripture as far as his name but his
name was something like Aspen has who
was the prince of the Unix he said I
would not do this thing of eating of the
king's table now we talked about this
man being the prince of Unix which meant
that basically he was over them he
really wasn't royalty a prince but they
just use that title you say it was a
unic and one the thing we talked about
was what is a unic because you'll find
that they are throughout the Bible
throughout that part of the
world what is a unic because they give
them a title even say he is the prince
of the
Unix sometimes you'll see the term
they'll they'll call it another name
they'll call it a
Chamberlain another thing they be known
as as a servant or a butler and they
always were males who were the Unix so
other words they were basic Servants of
the king they were his Butlers they was
his slave servants but a key fact about
a unic is something that not really
talked about in the church area is what
was a distinct characteristic to be a
unic well you're
appointed you're serving but there was
something distinct about being known as
a unic and when that would come up
people in this time in territory would
know how you come to be a unic a unic is
a castrated man remember that we talked
about this usually when he had talked
about in a Sunday school or in a church
setting a castrated man the reason why
primarily because they worked within the
palace the king had how many
queens there we go he had one Queen but
how many other wives and concubines
would he have tons of them uh they call
them harams just just any and all women
but to make sure that these males who
worked in the king's Palace would not
have shall we say sexual relationships
with the king's women you would be
castrated therefore didn't worri about
this so that was a distinct
characteristics when you see someone was
called a unic and this man was the you
could say the head of the Unix
themselves he had made this request of
this man because it said he had fell
into a member tender love with him and
we talked about that it's not that kind
of love you're thinking about
alternative lifestyle or or to that
fashion but it basically meant that they
had a relationship they were like
brothers uh kind of like how David was
with
Jonathan but you'll find when he made
this statement it bothered the unic
because he said that how can I bring you
before the king because you're
investment keep in mind they're slaves
right they're property if I bring you
and you're supposed to be some of the
best people if I bring you before the
king and you look all sickly and weak
what might happen to him or what he said
would happen to him
he said I could be lose my head other
words he'd be more than fired he would
be killed over it but that's when Daniel
then says to melar who is his
assistant said let us eat of the
pulse and that of drink water then after
a certain amount of days take notice of
us compare us to the others and then
make a decision for yourself and what
you would like to do now the question I
have for you this when he said let us
eat of the pulse what is pulse
veget vegetables Paul says anything
that's planted anything that's sewn into
the ground so basically was saying we're
going to
become
vegetarians that's we become vegetarians
and then also drinking of
water water is perhaps is it about the
most healthy thing you can drink yeah
you find that it is the most healthiest
thing you can drink we talked about how
you can be in the athletic world you
might drink G torade and all these other
supplements to put salt and things back
into your body which it works but
nothing's better than water and it's
funny I had this conversation uh similar
to this just this week when the
individual was talking about a kidney
stone and they were saying oh you K
stone that because you drink too much
sweet tea you drink too much sodas you
drink too much this you drink too much
that and so on and so on my remarks was
yeah that can bring it about but the
primary issue is not that you're
drinking too much of it because kidy
stone is made of calcium and sugar and
many other things particles but you'll
find that a good doctor would tell you
this the problem is you're not drinking
enough water because water is not only
good for you it also it cleanses the
body so water is the best thing that you
can drink here they said just give us
vegetables and that of
water
now how many days did he say for this to
take place 10 days yeah know yall guys
remember these things 10 days and you'll
find after 10 days he brought them
before the king but before he brought
them before the king the word talked
about how God gave them wisdom and
knowledge and understanding far above
everyone else but then it also said this
but in addition Daniel receive okay in
addition
what Visions he received visions of
dreams you got to help me out that I
need more than
that oh there we go God gave him the
ability to to interpret visions and that
of dreams now we didn't talk about this
part but we need to understand it what's
the difference between a vision and a
dream
H exactly dream is when you're in that
unconscious State you know when you're
sleeping you know you're
snoring got spit coming out your mouth I
mean you you sleeping good and you're
dreaming that unconscious St that's a
dream Mike but then a vision what is a
vision
it's well you you basic that's little
little different
what there we go that's the difference
there Vision what you speak of here is
more like a Daydream other words you're
wide awake but your mind is somewhere
else you know we talked this many times
before anybody ever drove somewhere then
you get there you go did I stop at any
of those stop lights all I remember I
got on Pam R and for know I'm on Broad
Street and I don't remember doing
anything but just coming straight
through because your mind was on other
things other words it's a conscious
state but your mind you could say is
somewhere else other words this when
what they say often time when they say I
was taken away in a vision they weren in
unconscious state but you'll find here
that here the let me go back to my title
here that dreams and visions are two
different things but you find that God
gave him this disability and then when
they come before the king the king said
that they were how much wiser than
everybody
else 100% wise but he gave a number he
gave him a number in order of times he
said they were how many times more than
everyone
else 10 times you know wiser and smarter
than everyone else that he gave them
high positions in his kingdom other
words position of authority matter of
fact you f you look back in the actual
Scriptures it speaks about it looked
like Daniel even spoke up for his three
friends to get them position that they
were in so that was the first lesson
would dealt with Daniel honoring did I
say David sometimes folks let make sure
I ain't saying David instead of Daniel
but Daniel you'll
find spoke up for these friends to get
them positions that they themselves were
in but it mainly deals with Daniel
honoring God's law because remember the
law was not to eat of this table not to
drink well not uh eat certain foods and
drink certain things and he stuck to
that he could have easily
protested guess what being in captivity
but he didn't he could have easily
protested learning their secular
education but he didn't you would have
think he might have flipped out being
called out of his name because he was
called by a slave Nam now Bel shazar but
he didn't but when it came to something
contrary to what God says he said no no
no I got to put my foot down on this one
and that would he Ste away from that
then that brought us to our Nick lesson
which dealt with Daniel friends you
remember refused to
bow in that lesson Nebuchadnezzar now
has put
up a
statue and what did the Statue look like
what was it what was this you could say
his color what kind of statue was it was
a golden
statue I asked the question do you think
the statue was a statue of him or
something else
remember we ask that question time we
start the lesson off and we gave certain
opinions do you think he made a statue
representing himself or was something
else for him to put this golden statue
up because it's very important remember
they had to Bow Down and Worship the
statue so was it of him or was it of
something else when he said he made this
statue of this golden
image any thoughts on that
again which one was it
most say himself and you may be right
but I don't say himself now keep in mind
none of us know right the only reason I
said probably wasn't of himself because
he never mentioned himself he always
said bow before this golden image and if
they wanted him to worship him he don't
need a statue I'm standing right here
before you you bow down toward me what I
tend to lead into is something that was
in the lesson but something you probably
studied in Chapter 2 you remember talked
about Daniel had the ability to
interpret Visions remember and dreams in
chapter two this is where Nebuchadnezzar
has this frightening
dream of the statue this is one story of
all stories I've never forgotten the
reason why is because as a kid my mom
brought these uh I guess you call it
stories of the Bible not call them books
of the Bible call them stories of the
Bible it was like in edias and all it
was was a kids version of the Bible and
I never forget when you look at the
little pictures it showed that statue
that was a horrifying looking statue
because of the color in which they made
it in his dream he had a vision of this
statue that had a gold head just a man's
head then as it came down it changed
color and his chest was silver but like
a a dirty looking silver then its thighs
became Iron which was real dark gray and
then the feet was similar but also had
clay mix in so more dirty looking it was
a very spooky looking statue they had
put in this particular book and as a kid
I was afraid of that thing look just you
turn the pages but you'll find it had a
representation Daniel had to interpret
that dream because no one else could you
remember he bought all his so-called
susers and all these wise people he said
interpret this dream for me and they
said okay I got it tell me your dream
they said no you know so much you tell
me the dream but nobody could do that so
it ended up Daniel by God's power was
able to interpret the dream to give you
the quick synopsis of it you'll find
that the golden head represented him or
more to the fact it represented the
Babylonian
Empire the silver chest recognized
another power that would come that would
be greater than his this was the meadow
Persian Empire which would come along
through King Darius and so on from there
then the iron legs represented a man we
know as Alexander the Great who was a
greater power than they and then the
mixed clay and iron together represent
another Power that'll be powerful than
all of them but it fell apart because
they were not joined correctly they F in
fighting that was the Roman Empire so
when he makes the statue it makes me
think he's looking at his Empire that
would never end because he makes a
similar statue but it stands some 90
feet tall some 8 feet wide
and remember the golden head represented
Babylon he made this whole statue gold
so other words it's not going to be
mixed other words almost like we will
rule forever but he made the Statue they
may bow there and worship they are Gods
it never really talks about them
worshiping him it was a golden statue he
put up there for them to worship and he
sets the statue up in the PLS that of
place called Dura now when he sets the
statue in
place he has all the great people all
the leaders of his provinces come to and
all the people come because it was set
in an open area and at the sound of the
music they all were to do
what Bow Down and Worship it you
remember the music played it says and
they all bowed down to worship
but I want this be let me see y'all get
this right I want to be scripturally
correct okay we just doing review
who were the
individuals that did not bow down what
were their
names I ask the question be scripturally
correct what were the names of these
people uhhuh y'all didn't get me y'all
didn't get I help you again what were
the names of the people scripturally to
be
correct
yeah Binger then the reason why I say
that is remember they had god-given
names and the Bible speaks of their
god-given names the entire time only
when they're faced before the king
you'll find there's a translation there
now they're using those slave names but
for some reason we've always stuck to
the slave names instead of to their real
names but here you'll find that these
individuals did not bow down and you'll
find that it was brought to the king's
attention which makes me wonder somebody
else didn't bow down either if I'm
bowing Down and Worship On The Ground
how do you see me not bound down you
must wasn't doing it yourself but it
says certain and I think script toally
correct they didn't say certain
Babylonians they said certain what they
call them
calans went to the
king said they use those names back and
forth and we talked about this remember
I said that he always had this group
even back in biblical times called they
and how that organization that Ministry
or what you want to call it exist to
this very day we never found out who the
president is ever in any churches but
they always they they this and they said
that and they said this but I said also
you had another group back during those
times too but they didn't have that name
we got a name we call them today anybody
know what group we're talking about now
there's a group that tolds on them
haters These individuals told them them
were I call them haters the reason it
seems to be as far as looking at the
scriptures for why they t on them is
because keep in
mind hananiah M and ooro where you know
Shadrach Meshach and Abednego were
slaves weren't they but they were put in
what kind of
positions oh they was in the king's
Palace they were in positions of
authority position of rule so wait a
minute so how is it that you got these
slaves telling me what to do people
probably had a problem with that because
they went to the king and their words
was these men that you put in these
positions have caused these problems so
you think about that they want to bring
to the king's attention this is what you
have done almost you could say two
things I look at it almost you could say
it's the king's fault for putting him in
that position but also it's a double
whammy he's somewhat saying these
individuals are not obeying you and look
at all you done for
them slaves look at all you dumb they
ought to be appreciative of this you
know I read that that remind me back
when um you remember Hurricane Katrina
hit I remember um I call her mama Bush
when the they they put the blacks in the
um the mobile homes and all but they
weren't something was wrong I people
were getting sick in them and yeah yeah
there we go the female trailers and
remember Mama Bush said these people Liv
better than they ever live why they
complaining like are you kidding me
other words like they've done so much
for you so here what you have this
similar situation all that you've done
for them and this is how they want to
treat you because keep in mind who was
there at the Statue to witness all this
when when the music was
playing what was the
crowd it was everybody you remember
first talks about all his leaders all
his Governors so all everybody in
Authority had come there at one time
then the music going to play everybody's
to Bow and everybody did except these
boys how you think the king feels about
that defied him in front of everybody
because when the king king speaks it's
what law you supposed to do it but at
this point they do not want to bow to
the Statue so what does the king do he
calls them forth right and he tells
them
that why did you do this thing but
really it's more rhetorical question
he's not looking for an answer because
he actually gives them one more chance
because he realized what he has remember
these these people were 10 times smar
and WIS than everybody else you can't
just get rid of them but he gives them
the threat he says to them these words
he say is when the music is
played this
time you are to bow down to this statue
to worship it he says if not you'll be
thrown into the furnace at what this
very hour other words this very minute
but then he add something else to it but
he says and what God GNA save you
then more like a challenge wasn't it yes
now you'll find did they stay quiet
no oh I like the response they gave I
don't know if we would give that type of
response they said to the king oh King
live forever other words they came with
respect but they said this we will not
be careful in this manner of answering
you now what does it mean with some said
I'm not going to be careful in answering
you it's kind of a weird way to use
language in the 161 17 King James he
said we would not be careful in
answering this and then they give him an
answer
take your
time because normally when you careful
something you going to think about it
right you're going to think before you
speak as I like to say you're going to
analyze the matter make sure you're
doing things in the right Manner and so
on and so on I you really want to take
your time with this thing but here what
they're saying is we would not be
careful other words I I have to think
about this is what they're saying I
don't have to take my time I don't have
to think about it should I do it or
should I not do it maybe I councel and
talk they like no we don't have to think
about this we don't have to take our
time said this is our answer we will not
bow down so I love how they said that
and then they give a reason now the
reason why I say that is this often
times you look at a situation when
someone asks an opinion and you're
supposed to give a response I give an
example uh politics
right politicians running for office I
say
today ask them a question a or no
response and what do you
get we say you go all the way over the
place or either they will go all over
the place and then maybe give you an
answer I never believe in that because
when you're speaking about something I
ask you yes or no this and you go well
blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah
blah you know you're listening you're
going hen okay they for it or against it
I'm I'm trying to get to this thing and
then the very end they go well I'm
against it said that the first time but
then explain yourself you follow I'm
getting that you ask me a question you
like this skin yes or no I like yeah I
like it and this is why you don't ask me
do you like it I go well back in the day
someone just give it to me what these
guys have done right here says we will
not be careful other words I don't have
to think about this we're not going to
bow down to your statue they said
because our God is able to deliver us
remember he just said to them what God
going to live you but they said our God
is going to be able to deliver us oh
Mike but then they get a little bad even
after that and they said furthermore if
God don't deliver us I'm still not going
to bow down to this thing now who do
they say this
before the
king is the king there by itself
remember everybody's
there remember think about the setting
why the king even put this into place
everybody is there so now you challenge
me before everybody the king could look
weak now so it said the king went into a
fury otherwise he was in a rage he said
cast them in but heat the oven how many
times
hotter seven times hotter which probably
means it doesn't mean that I look at it
this way it doesn't mean that the the
furnace is 500 Degrees that could be
3500 degrees it just means make it real
hot which actually you think about it's
counterproductive because you want them
to suffer just throw them into fire you
make it super hot it might kill them
instantly you know I mean if you're
looking for it be a form of punishment
because you think about it when they
grab them and throw them in it was so
hot that the soldiers who threw them in
they died from the heat anybody ever
felt heat from a fire
before I can remember we were kids um
the Temple's houses caught on fire in
Oak Ro and all us Rod the bicycles down
there and the house was probably about H
Miss Sophia house from the road just as
Clos as we could get that fire was so
hot it would sting your forehead I don't
know how to fire department even went
near it so I can imagine him there they
making a fire so hot that the people who
are called upon and they were Mighty Men
He says to throw them in they died from
the heat but it says when they threw
them
in they threw them down into the fire
fully closed with their coats their
jackets the clothing on the reason for
that is if you have all the stuff on you
sure catch on fire pretty
quick but what does the king say when he
looks Into the Fire
there we go he said did knock we throw
three in he said but I see
four and we don't have time to break it
down he said but I see one that looks
like what look like
the son of man he used the term son a
man that's a term they Ed in talking
about gods and so on because I don't
think he realized this was Christ or an
angel it just a you could say a a Godly
being but he says I see four but then he
says speed it up a little bit we going
highlight some of the things coming up
you like six minutes ago um but you find
he then says to them to come out
remember they were just walking around
in the fire it says they came out and
what did he notice about
them no smell nothing not even the smell
of smoke on the clothes everybody knows
that something like that you got some
syth on you you know look at today's
world I me let would tell you now I I
would get up
got to be here early in the morning and
she'll be fixing breakfast and I'll do
like this I smell like a
sausage and what I do I change my
clothes put something else on because
that smell gets into your
clothing I know you all experienc this
in today's world we have gotten on
elevators and you smell that skunk
weed yes have you not I know you
experienced that and you get off that
alabor you're going they going to think
I've been smoking the stuff cuz it's all
in your in your
clothes here they are in a furnace
that's seven times hter and they don't
even smell smoke but then it also says
something else about them anybody
remember small
detail
there didn't have Smoke on the clothes
they weren't burnt but another thing it
dealt
with they said the hair wasn't even
singed now I'm no scientist on this but
I believe that the first thing to always
go in a fire is your hair
always is your hair I know you all have
been around those uh GG you've been
around those uh propane
grills and Butch you hitting that thing
click click click all poof and you look
all the hair going off your arms
happened that
quick I remember at work we had some
years ago the watercraft the SE juice
they had a fuel tank recoil and the fuel
tanks were made of plastic okay now when
you do a warranty with the manufact
they want you to send the defective
Parts back immediately therefore they
can analyze and see why they fail so
they can improve the product and so on
from there but in a situation such as a
gas tank you can't ship that because
fuel once was in it so it's a considered
Hazard material but for them to
understand that you did the warranty and
not just F sending in false claims you
have to send part of that tank in so
that on that plastic tank there was a
serial number you have to cut that
number out and mail it back to the
company therefore they say yes Ponda
house did the warranty so we can pay
them for doing this warranty no problem
they stopped doing that pretty quick
because this happened throughout
dealerships I can remember we they cut
this thing out one of the guys he
drained the tank let it set outside and
air it out for a couple days y'all know
what it's going now I'mma cut this
plastic to get this serial number off of
it grabs of
Saw of course it's electric right
electric motors produce little Sparks
but but this time that wasn't quite the
case but keep in mind as he's cutting
this square and he's been over like this
you're cutting into plastic the saw
reciprocating saw is creating friction
which brings forth in plastic what's
known as static
electricity and even though there wasn't
a drop of fuel in it because gas doesn't
burn the fumes I guess it was enough
around and all of a sudden he was been
thing you hear this boom big ball of
flame just a quick flash that was it he
wasn't hurt he was like what the world
he around we said darl you got no
mustache no eyebrows no nothing
everything was
gone just like just like that but he
wasn't hurt at all but here these boys
are in this fire and they said not even
a hair upon that head was singed and
that's when never can never realize and
guess what he say what you serve an
awesome and mighty God and it say heared
God now I'm going to say he totally
worship God cuz keep in mind they
worship how many
gods yeah this is another one to add to
add to the crew because you'll find
later on something happen even with
Daniel and praying so on from there but
that was that lesson but then we have
the lesson of the day which is now two
minutes to
go thought you we had a lot to cover
anybody read today's
[Music]
lesson nobody read it oh I know I can
say anything
now well I can summarize to you this way
just keep this in
mind um when you're read reading these
words cuz it's a new theme let me bring
my tablet back online the new theme is
that of dealing with um
prophecies it says Daniel's faithful
prophetic Ministry Daniel's prophesies
the son of
man when you're reading anything to deal
with prophecies you got to understand
this the Bible sometimes has to be read
literally to what it says okay sometimes
you read certain scriptures you got to
read them figuratively okay okay then
there are times where you have to read
that same scripture this going really
throw you figuratively and literally
okay because when you're dealing with
the books of Prophecy the difficult part
about them is that often times they're
speaking literally but they're using
figuratively things such as symbols and
what they may represent and so on there
but is what they're saying is literal
what I'm getting at is this particular
scripture we talking about deals with
what's called eschatology
eschatology deals with the end times and
the second coming in Christ and so on
from there so there's a lot of symbolism
that it uses figuratively but literally
they're telling you that the end is
coming and Judgment Day shall be upon
you you know and people often time would
lose scripture like this because no what
they try to do they feed too much into
the figurative symbols and they'll say
the beast from the East coming from the
ocean oh that's going to be
Japan nobody knows who that going to be
but you do you know this there's going
to be a nation that's going to rise up
to bring War coming from this direction
so literally is telling you war is
coming upon you fictively they're just
using symbols a beast a lion a eagle and
swor from there but often time things
are lost in the translation so what it
deals with is this lesson we have today
as we have to close out it deals with
talking about Revelation and the end
times let you know that a day shall come
when judgment shall come upon us but not
for those who are saved you shall be
judged for the wars that God shall give
you but you're already saved but let's
know some difficult times going to come
but for me to teach this lesson today
which I don't have time really to do it
you have to TI light in with Revelations
because the books of Prophecy are kind
of uh Dr re T they're broken up they're
not like this book in this book I mean
you're talking Daniel some of Matthew
Revelations um some of Ecclesiastes it
kind of jumps around and gives you end
time and the Book of Daniel so you have
to kind of like tie them all together
it's kind of like uh the trinity there's
no way you can explain the trinity in
one Sunday school session and you
talking about trinitarianism and the
Triune of the Trinity and this the
godhead and so on so it takes time to
break it down this lesson only six
verses but all it's pretty much telling
you is that there's going to come a day
when Christ shall come again to judge
but before that day happens there will
be some difficult there be some tough
there'll be some Harsh Times but what I
tell the folks ask me some questions
about it which I can't begin to
understand I said well some of the stuff
I read and try to understand it but I
don't know the answers to it but I do
know us I don't have to worry about it
because if you raptured up that's
something somebody else has to deal with
you're going to be over here so that's
the best way to took it because it's too
many symbols to try to explain exactly
what it means so you have to take it
figuratively what he's saying but
literally let you know that this is
going to happen because it deals with
prophecy and prophecy deals with things
that are going to happen keep this in
mind prophecy deal with things that are
going to happen but at a later time so
what he talks about here is these things
are going to happen but they be at a
later time so furtively he gives us some
hints and some Clues into this I give
you one last one who Antichrist that's
going to
[Music]
come you ever heard D already here I I
heard that one time it was
Obama one time it was Clinton you know
is always naming some world leader that
people say oh that's this one that's
nobody has a clue no one knows so other
words don't take those parts of it
literally take those things figerly but
do know this literally that a world
leader is going to come that everyone's
going to follow and guess what they're
going to be
deceived and so said I can't see
something I get happen oh look at our
world today and look at how many people
want to follow an individual over here
with all this crazy stuff and they said
they bringing something oh great and
Grand it makes you think about the world
that we're living in and how things can
change so quickly in the moment of ey
but I might bring up some of this lesson
next week just to highlight some things
but next week your lesson is Daniel sees
future kingdoms still dealing with with
Daniel like I said I might hit upon some
of this lesson that we couldn't really
cover today um next week but next week
we're com out of Daniel the eth chapter
and Daniel sees future kingdoms and by
Daniel seeing this who has given him
this
power God so it's not Daniel's message
it's whose message it's God's message
that we're looking at so once again
thank you guys for studying your lesson
mostly you got got we got the answers
right we remember everything that was
talked about it was very important to do
that review to get us back on track for
where it is that we need to go um but
I'm gonna get ahead of myself I can't
wait to get to this man named Jonah oh
that's some St talk but Jonah but we'll
cover that later with that being said
folks let's close things out as we rise
to our feet dick Hall if you will give
us a closing word of prayer that lead us
into our worship service
