hey guys Kakarot 197 again this time to

review of the 144 scale high grit

universal century do from the Zeta

Gundam anime series and this Maalik it

has been provided to me by my favorite

online hobbies so Hubble in Japan links

to buy one yourself down below and the

first thing that I have to get out of

the way is the color of the oh it's not

your screen it's not my camera the

yellow of this kit is more subdued than

it should be although personally I do

kind of like the Sun faded look and if

you do too then you won't have to do too

much painting on this old kit from 2002

you'll need yellow for around keys pipes

then very dark blue for his knuckles the

belt on his bag the shoulder mechanics

the bottom on the front skirts this

piece of the leg and these thrusters on

the back skirt then red for the pipes on

the sub arms and while you're at it

replace these four metallic stickers

with pain - and finally green for every

single thruster except for this one I'm

also sure that there's some painting to

be done on the inside it is amazing back

skirt but the manual doesn't actually

show it clearly so have fun creating

your own paint job admittedly that is

still quite a bit left to paint but for

an almost two decade old model kit I'm

extremely impressed that almost all of

the thrusters are separate pieces and

that looking at it from the front or the

back reveals very little seam lines just

ignore the ones on top if some of the

panel lines are also too shallow but

overall we get a very presentable and

bad as do straight out of the box and

now let's have a look at all of the cool

accessories that this thing comes with

first of all we get a grand total of

four beam swords complete with four

master grade length beam blades now you

might be thinking that four beam swords

is a bit much for a mobile suit with

only two arms it's a good thing that

Theo has two extras and the beam swords

are just as wobbly in every single one

of them it is from the early 2000s

alright also the ball joints of the

front skirts really suffer trying to

hold up the beads

it's one funny thing is that according

to the manual these are called being

sorts because they're curved

disregarding the fact that the word

saber which we usually get for these

things is actually specifically used for

curved blades so while calling in a

sword isn't wrong the reasoning for

doing so is wrong another weird thing is

the color of the handles you might have

seen pictures or the master great order

yellow and the thing is when they're

stored the anime tends to depict them as

dark blue as on this model kit but when

he whips them out they suddenly become

yellow so you'll have to make up your

own mind about which one is correct next

up we have the beam rifle and just as

the oh it's nice and chunky and it's got

some cool attention to detail with the

yellow pipe

unfortunately the e pack at the bottom

isn't removable it also comes with its

own right trigger finger hand although

just as with the beam swords it's kind

of loose but once you equip it that no

longer matters and if you'd want to you

could also put the gun into the left

holding hand what you cannot do is put

them into two sub arms as claws

unlike the ones on the hazel these

cannot open but you could still try

ramming other weapons in there because

unfortunately these are all the

accessories do has by the way am I the

only one who thinks that these things

look like Vulcans anyways on to the

articulation and we're off to a great

start with the head despite only having

a single ball joint the shoulders hinge

forwards and backwards nicely rotate

around all the way and have a movable

thruster and with that thing added away

the arm goes up nicely rotates around

below the shoulder bends at the elbow at

one joint and the hands are on the usual

ball joints the waist is on a peg and

once you extend it you can get some

surprising rotation and even forwards

and backwards movement the front skirts

are molded separately and inside are two

sub arms they fold out on two hinges and

can only rotate around at the bottom

hinge and at the claw so no sideways

movement except for what the ball joins

on the front

allow what they also allow for is some

decent force movement that does rely on

the double jointed knees to go

completely forwards even the massive

back skirt is on a hinge allowing for a

bit of backwards movement to the side

skirts hinge outwards but the ball joint

that legs don't go out nearly as much

they will of course also rotate around a

bit this panel can also move a bit just

as this one and now pay close attention

to the red hoses when you move two feet

around they also move around a bit a

really cool effect that I wasn't

expecting from a 2002 kit along with all

of the other moving stuff on these legs

this is seriously cool so now from the

front the feed goes side to side a bit

and will also rotate around a bit so

while it might not have the greatest

articulation ever considering the age

and the bulk of this kit I think it's

still really impressive oh and as a

quick side note if you want to buy an

action based video despite it being a

high grade you're going to need a master

rate compatible action base for this big

boy so as always the inevitable question

is do you want to buy this and in 2002

the answer would have been extremely

simple run out and go buy this now in

2020 it's no longer a must buy but I can

still highly recommend it for two

thousand four hundred yen you're getting

a massive thick mobile suit with all the

accessories it needs another tick

elation to strike a badass pose and

enough quality so that it doesn't feel

out of place next to a modern kit and

let's do some size comparisons to show

you just how much you're getting for

your money first of all here is next to

some other big Titan machines the gaff

light and the buy Erland

and then here is next to his best friend

the revived Zeta Gundam and the Zeta

plus and finally here he is next city

standard sized gym custom and the always

bulky Zaku three and you know what when

I was building do it felt much

more massive than the Zaku 3 but now

that I have them next to each other dirt

actually kind of equal do just has way

more going on making him feel more
