London Ontario Canada is an
unbeatable place to live okay listen
when it comes to Canada specifically
Southwestern Ontario is I really believe
the best place in all of Canada to live
and there are two places that I've
chosen to build my business and live my
life that's London Ontario and Windsor
Ontario this is the London channel that
I've got set up right now and we're
going to go over 17 reasons why living
in London is unbeatable if you're
looking for a place to move seriously uh
it's less expensive than Toronto and
it's a beautiful city okay uh my name is
Ryan I'm a real estate agent in this
city in throat Southwestern onario but
this is my I grew up here man I'm an
expert on the London area if you are
looking for um some help moving here
you're going to buy a house feel free to
reach out people text me and call me all
the time that's my phone number right
there okay let's start with Healthcare
we have to cuz that's like our thing in
London is Healthcare uh in fact you
might be watching this video because
you're moving to London for residency or
Fellowship we train more doctors than
like anyone else in Canada um but for
the rest of you non-doctors okay look at
this list of medical innovations that
happened in London Ontario this is where
you're going to find the best doctors
and the best facilities and the best
care I mean we're talking heart
transplants and and brain surgeries and
all this stuff it was all figured out
and created here I mean listen I'm kind
of going through it right now I got a
knee problem I got a torn meniscus I
ended up getting hooked up with a sports
medicine doctor here in London um and I
mean this is the place where technically
speaking Eric Lindros got his own care
he donated Millions to this place that
I'm going to and he was helped by the
doctors that originally started this
facility I'm getting great care you walk
down the halls and there's all these
like signed autographed jerseys on the
wall from nhlers that used this Clinic
that I'm going to for my torn meniscus
that fills me with confidence even
getting an MRI like London like this
article explains that we we got recently
six new MRI machines you can Google it
places like Hamilton and St Catherine's
they only have three like we're getting
new machines that and and double the
amount that those other places have so
your weight time is just going to be
less in the London area than it's going
to be uh anywhere else number two reason
why London is unbeatable is the day
trips okay like I know some people like
are afraid to leave the GTA as if
there's nothing outside of Toronto now
listen London has it's big enough that
it has everything you need and then
anything it doesn't have is just a Trip
Away you have excellent beaches that are
an hour or less away Port Stanley and um
um Grand Ben Beach are fan Grand B's
really nice too because they have the
strip there uh you get some food get
some ice cream Walk The Strip get down
to the beach it's a fantastic time
there's Stratford that's like 45 minutes
away you want to go see world class
plays walk by the Avon River uh just
walk the downtown there's all these
little cute shops and stuff like that
like that's a nice getaway day trip with
your spouse or with the kids or whatever
um um there's the Pinery as well for
camping and more beaches and if you
really want to go to Toronto again it's
only two hours away if you want to go
see a Jay's game or do some of the toury
stuff go to the aquarium they got there
also two hours away is about Niagara
Falls as well 2 hours I would say is the
upper limit for a day trip but still all
that is within two hours away so London
ideally situated in Southwestern Ontario
great day trips number three reason is
cost of living okay listen this is a
joke to londoners right because there's
people that are watching this video that
remember when a house was 150 Grand or
less and now the average price in London
is
$600,000 that's just Canada all right
everything's going up however it is
significantly cheaper than anywhere in
the GTA and even up north like you got
to go pretty far north to get as cheap
as London um there are cheaper places if
you go further south to chadam chadam is
going to be the cheapest in Southern
Ontario but London's just a bigger city
and a great place to be um right now
like I said the average price is around
$600,000 houses in Toronto that are $2
million they're going to be under 1
million or maybe around a million down
here you can get a beautiful home for
like $ 850 in London okay so if that's
your budget and you're living in Toronto
dude get out okay my name is Ryan by the
way I'm this is this is my bread and
butter this is what I do I eat sleep and
breathe real estate in southwest Western
Ontario and specifically London and
Windsor London is where I grew up London
that is what I know so much about so if
you're looking to move to this area and
you need some help or you just want to
ask me a question or what have you
that's my phone number on the screen
okay up next Rock the park baby this is
fantastic this is like a 4 day Outdoor
Concert Series in London Ontario that
has huge AXS I know some of you think
that you got to be in a massive City to
get like the big names no London gets
them all okay this year we're going to
have
uh and we're going to have Neil Young
and we're going to have Nickelback
performing in the park okay uh in years
past like we've had anyone you can think
of Leonard skinnard we've had uh Alice
Cooper oh Dirks Bentley Brad Paisley
we've had Blink 182 we've had Billy
Talent we've had we've had them all man
Snoop Dogg they've all been here for
rock the park four day out Day concert
it is fantastic it started about 20
years ago and it's just every year it's
bigger and better the London
International Airport is next and this
is funny because like the London
International Airport used to be nothing
but like just little two-seaters and
like flights to Toronto that were too
expensive okay now there is direct
flights to vacation spots right out of
London do you re like if you travel like
I don't think you realize how much of a
pain Pearson is until you go somewhere
else like a little airport like London
you show up the Security's happy to see
you they're joking around with you it's
not so serious it's it's a much more
laid-back atmosphere you don't have to
show show up 2 hours before your flight
like you can show up you know 40 minutes
before your flight and you'll still have
time to grab a bite to eat at the
airport like it's crazy um you can get
direct flights to two different places
in Cuba uh to Dominican Republic right
down to uh Mexico and um where else oh
Calgary I know some of you have family
out there so and if you're taking a trip
to B that's that's great too uh and I I
honestly think that more places will be
added to this list as years go on up
next the Forest City baby honestly this
is fantastic so London was built into a
forest essentially at one point in time
um and as a result there's all these big
forested parks all over our city which
is really cool cuz it makes you feel
like you're not in this congested City
you're in like this quiet Serene place
just take a walk down the street to your
nearest park and boom it's completely
different there's rivers and streams and
turkeys and deer and beaver you can run
into all that where out out in these
forests so if you look at this map like
I haven't even pointed to all of them
but this is like a lot of the ones that
are inside the city uh and you can
there's like kilometers and kilometers
of trails of just walking and mountain
biking through these areas which is
really nice some people like to get out
and fish in like kamoka Provincial Park
or out in fansa um it it's just really
nice to have this nearby we're the
Forest City we've got I think I think
they say it's over 4 million trees in
London and they plant 5,000 more every
year they're careful to preserve and
grow this area uh the nature areas here
so it's just really cool to have that
nearby you visit other cities and it's
just like it's just Concrete Jungle
that's not London we will talk about
traffic on the way as well as the NHL
believe it or not okay uh first though I
want to talk about the Grand Theater
because this is also a really cool thing
to have in London um The Grand Theater
has awesome musicals and plays every
year I went to see a really good
rendition of the Christmas carol one
year around Christmas sometimes they'll
have the Grinch for kids and they'll
have um what else they have for kids
they got a lot of really good family
oriented ones I know Greece is coming
there this year I think honestly I think
it's a lot of the same plays that you'll
see in Toronto they that tour around
they'll stop by Toronto they'll stop by
London they'll stop by Detroit so you
don't have to be in these big cities to
get these world class performances they
will come to you in London and sure if
you watch Shakespeare you can just go
like we already said to Stratford they
got the Shakespeare Festival uh and
that's really professional stuff over
there just 45 minutes away but I like
that the Grand Theater right downtown on
Richmond row um fantastic
spot the London Knights baby okay this
is a big deal and I know what you're
thinking you're thinking Ryan um most
Ontario cities have an OHL team it's not
that big of a deal no you don't
understand if you've never been to a
London nights game this is not like
going to see a Sudbury Wolves game this
is different listen guys I've been to
NHL games I've been to AA L Toronto
Marley's games have been to the OHL
London nights are the closest thing
you'll get to the NHL experience it's a
9,000 seat Arena it is packed the crowd
is energized they're excited the whole
theatrics in the arena as the players
come out on Ice everything is just done
up the exact same way it's done up in
the NHL and it's it's really fantastic
not to mention you're watching the
future NHL stars of next year we can say
that as London nights fans cuz look okay
Patrick Kane greatest American Believe
It or Not player of all time played for
us Mitch Marner Bo Horvat uh Matthew
kachuck W Memorial Cup with Marner
London Knights okay even Brendan
Shanahan was was a London Knight at one
point we have a long story history of
amazing players and we just keep pumping
out the nhlers so come see tomorrow's
Superstars today with the London
Knights okay up next traffic okay it's
just it's less crowded in London and
it's funny cuz I have complained in
other videos about London traffic it
does bother me that we don't have an
expressway I'm a grumpy man on the roads
I get mad but I'm telling you it's
nothing compared to when I go to
literally anywhere else North in like if
I drive through Cottage Country through
Toronto to get to Cottage Country I get
mad because it doesn't matter if it's
like a Tuesday at like 11 a.m. for some
reason everyone is on the road why is it
bumper to bumper on a Tuesday Morning
shouldn't you be at work okay or um
going to Pearson I don't know like the
401 it's fine until you get to the GTA
and all of a sudden no one knows how to
drive why are the Toronto drivers always
in the leftand lane doing 110 kmers an
hour that's too slow move over what are
you doing okay it doesn't make sense uh
Toronto it terrible drivers and it's
always packed but London is just less
congested than the GTA if you're
watching this video and you live
somewhere else maybe this doesn't apply
to you but I do get a lot of Toronto
people watching so I just wanted to tell
you it's better here okay these next few
are actually in downtown London which I
have uh uh uh complained about before
because there is a homeless and drug
problem in London uh however there are
some nice spots in downtown covet Garden
Market is this beautiful Market it's
very historic it's been there for I
think like a 100 years or more it's
right across the street from uh where
the London nightes play and they have
this like outdoor ice rink in the winter
outside so you'll see planing and having
fun on that and then you go inside and
there's vendors everywhere it's a
beautiful Market you can pick up coffee
grinds and flavors that you're not going
to find at the grocery store there's the
tea house has so much tea I'm not a tea
drinker too much but I know some people
that are and they love it um authentic
Thai food authentic Korean food Indian
Middle Eastern Italian food can all be
found in there from people who are it's
not some it's not some uh some guy named
Bill who runs the local Thai restaurant
like it's actual people from Thailand
and it's wonderful food okay it's
there's a fudge maker in there that
sells awesome chocolate covered stuff
and fudge and all this stuff honestly
it's a great uh Saturday afternoon to
swing by the coven Garden market open on
the weekends also downtown is Victoria
Park uh Victoria Park spans many city
blocks right in the heart of everything
by um by Richmond row there and it's
nice cuz this is where a lot of
festivals are in the summer like SunFest
and all that um so there often food
trucks and stuff in there there's a
perform there's performances cuz they
got a stage there and uh they have an
ice rink there in the winter too in fact
I don't know when everyone became a wimp
but uh I remember
2023 or 2022 winter it was like a bad
winter and I went out there during a
snowstorm had the whole place to myself
it was a blast I don't know when we as
Canadians forgot how to winter but uh
that that was that's a good time get out
and skate and the last thing downtown is
the uh Budweiser Gardens this is where
the let Knights Play but they don't just
have hockey they also have concerts and
what's cool is they're big name concerts
right if you're if you're Jay-Z and
you're going to Toronto I mean you might
as well just drive down and go to London
it seats over 10,000 people for a
concert you stay two nights boom
$2,000 20,000 people all paying you
money rather okay so we have had Jay-Z
we've had Snoop Dogg we've had uh Sher
and we've had uh Michael bΓ© and all the
big names there's more I just can't oh
Luke Bryan Luke Bryan was there like the
big names come here we have not had
Taylor Swift yet but maybe we'll
convince her okay there's one thing that
happens in London that draws people from
miles around we will talk about that in
a second first of though I want to talk
to you about the small town feel London
itself is not a small town feel but it's
surrounded by these little communities
that I personally love that this is
where I think is where you get your best
bang out of your buck for from London is
you obviously know about me now I get
annoyed by too many people around me and
traffic and all that so I mean look you
got St Thomas you've got arva you got
Ilderton you got Dorchester you got
killworth kamoka these are fantastic
places to live okay like killworth you
got like killworth Flats park right
there behind you it's very expensive but
it just it feels kind of like Cottage
Country there's big tall trees all
around you beautiful little streets okay
I had deer almost eating out of my hand
right in behind those houses at
killworth Park just the other day Okay
St
Thomas um there's like 20,000 people
there it is growing but it's a it's a
lot smaller than London and it's only
like 30 35 minutes into London from
there that's a fantastic place to live
um and again if you want even smaller
arva up uh up there in Ilderton like
these are these are separate from London
so if you want to have to drive into
town and you really want to feel like
it's a tiny little town that's that's
more where you want to go Dorchester is
beautiful too way out here um these are
fantastic play you can get that small
town County feel while being still
within the London area oh do not sleep
on the Western Fair people come from
miles around into London when the
Western Fair is on every year in
September this dates back to like 1868
this is a big deal in London and it's a
lot of fun they got they got small
roller coasters there they got the one
that's just like a big loop and it goes
constantly in a loop they've got the big
swing thing that just swings you around
really fast that's kind of freaky uh
they got the Gravitron that like sticks
you to the back as it spins a lot of
spinning clearly um but they have other
things besides rides lots of games
they've got the animal Barn kids love to
go in the animal Barn see the pigs see
the Sheep see the cows um they got uh
musical performances there sometimes
they've got the casino that's open year
round as well as the horse racing track
um it's just a good time and they're
always adding new rides too like if you
go to the Western Fair webs
they're always adding new rides this is
a big deal it's a lot of fun uh to come
down to the Western Fair and they have
of course food trucks there and
everything as well it's a it's a good
time we're almost done but we still got
some really important things to talk
about including the festivals that we
have in London first though wartle
Village so if you look in South London
down here there's something called
wartle Village a lot of these homes are
historic and very old and very beautiful
and this is a a little gem in London you
will get something that is uh 50 years
old that has beautiful unique
architecture you can't get anywhere else
and what's cool is it's its own little
village so down wartle Road uh you've
got some really nice restaurants like
the Sweet Onion beastro Roll Roll Sushi
is in this area and it's very good um
yeah what else is there there's some
Thai food places there's there's a lot
of really well-known places in the
wartle village that have great food
people I mean I think wartle Village has
won awards before I didn't Google it so
I don't have the the information right
up my fingertips maybe I'll put it up on
the on the screen here but it's one a WS
in Canada for being such a great little
neighborhood um it's biking distance
from downtown so if you work at some
downtown place you can just bike back to
where you live in wartle Village it's
trendy it's nice it's a beautiful area
Okay up next festivals there is always
something going on in London always so
much so I can't keep track of it like we
went outside the other day and there was
like across the street in the park there
was like all these food trucks
everywhere and there's music and I was
like I didn't even know what event this
one is there's awesome things of course
there's Ribfest they kind of travel
around so a lot of people have it but
there's always great festivals like that
not just downtown but in all the little
neighborhoods around it's really cool
SunFest is one of my favorites that
happens every year downtown in Victoria
Park it's getting pretty packed they
might move it somewhere else because
people love it so much but they have uh
live music the entire time at two
different stages and they have food
trucks and people cooking open flame in
the park that's what's really really
cool you walk by and these guys got the
Flames going and this chicken and
they're marinating it and barbecuing and
you smell it you're like yes give me
some of that on a hot summer day a cold
drink you can sample F foods from all
different cultures uh SunFest and other
festivals similar to it really cool
aspect of London there's always
something going on in fact if you're
from London and there's a festival that
you love comment Down Below on which one
it is okay cuz um there's so many last
but not least entertainment activities
I've talked about this before but a lot
of these people that call me from the
GTA are like what do you do in London
like is there anything to do as if
there's nothing outside the GTA no
listen London has a lot of everything
you could possibly need like if you're
into some Niche sport like rock climbing
well there's a The Junction Rock
Climbing Gym okay that's cool we have
the largest entertainment complex in
Canada in London that old Kellogg's
Factory where they used to make all the
kellogs well now that's they got like a
a high Ropes Course in there they got
like a trampoline they got like virtual
reality gaming area they got uh like old
school um not casino games what are the
uh arcade arcade games um they've got
Escape rooms they've got a hotel they've
got a brewery everything is in there
Canada's largest entertainment complex
you don't have it in Toronto you got it
here um but like I said any other Niche
sport or whatever you want like it's
it's all here okay there's mountain
biking there's there's even skiing and I
know it's not the mountains but hey it's
a great place place to learn over at
bowler Mountain um London's got it all
there's so much to do in this city it's
fantastic if you are thinking about
moving and you're going to be moving to
London maybe buying a house that's my
phone number on the screen I help people
relocate to this area and I'm pretty
damn good at it okay so feel free to
reach out even if you just want to ask
me a question I don't get to all of the
questions commented below you can I'll
try and get to it but if not you feel
free to text me okay thanks for watching
