so what is a Google snippet preview or a

Google snippet preview tool well here's

a Google search engine result page for

men's basketball shoes and a Google

snippet preview tool will allow you to

see what your contents listing would

look like Within These result pages so

the first thing we're going to do is

install the all-in-one SEO plugin if you

already have AIO SEO installed you can

skip ahead to the next part of the video

using the time stamps below

so let's go ahead and click on plugins

and then click on the button that says

add new

if you haven't done so already we're

going to want to download the plugin

from aiossio.com I'm going to go to the

account section into your download area

and click the big green button that says

download AIO SEO

and if you don't have an account already

you should be able to create one pretty

easily

so back on the plugins page of your

WordPress website we're going to go

ahead and click the upload plugin button

and then click choose file and choose

the plugin file that you just downloaded

and then click the install now button

after the plugin installs click the blue

button that says activate plugin

after the plugin installs and is

activated the AIO SEO Setup Wizard will

pop up automatically we have another

video that walks you through these steps

and I highly encourage you to go through

that wizard because it will just set up

your whole website for success as far as

your SEO efforts go but for now we're

going to head back to the dashboard

and then if you scroll on down the page

and click the link there's a space for

us to enter our all-in-one SEO Pro

license key

back on our AIO SEO account which you

can find at aiosseo.com account make

sure you're on the downloads Tab and

then next to where it says license key

if you click on the icon it will copy

out our all-in-one SEO Pro license key

and then we're going to paste the

license key into the license key field

click connect

and that's it all in one SEO Pro is

activated on this website if you want to

be doubly sure you can go ahead and

click the blue save changes button

then we're going to scroll up and click

on the dashboard link just so we're all

on the same page

so now that you've got all-in-one SEO

installed from the WordPress dashboard

head on over to the post section you can

also head on over to the pages section

doesn't matter and we're just going to

pull up any one of our posts or Pages

I'm going to click on this first one

here called men's basketball shoes

and then if I look over on the right

hand side of the page here we can see

there's information about the post or

about a particular block if we had a

block selected what I'm going to do

instead is click on this all-in-one SEO

button

and then I'm going to click on General

the first thing we see is a snippet

preview so this is a serp snippet

preview this is approximating what our

listing will look like in Google the

first thing we have is the URL of my

site this is just a demo site and we

have the SEO title men's basketball

shoes black and blue separator demo say

Emoji checkmar you may remember how I

constructed this title from some of our

other videos and then we have the meta

description

you'll see the snippet preview right

here if you wanted to see a little bit

bigger version you scroll down below the

content of your page to the all-in-one

SEO settings section and you can also

see a snippet preview right here there's

also a third area where you can see a

serp snippet preview you stick around to

the end of the video I'll show you where

that area is as well so now that we know

what a serp snippet preview tool is

let's dive into how we can use this to

improve our SEO you'll see that we have

the snippet preview here and then the

post title and The Meta description and

if we're somewhere else on our page like

working on our content up here you

always have this snippet preview

available in the sidebar underneath the

all-in-one SEO section underneath

General so let's do that now let's go

ahead and click that edit snippet button

and this is the same information that

appears below your content it's just

easily accessible from this right hand

sidebar so here's our snippet preview

again we have mobile and desktop views

and then I can decide how I want to

construct that snippet preview and if

it's going to help or hurt the SEO on my

page so this page is about men's

basketball shoes my title says men's

basketball shoes black and blue this

little separator demo site and this

check mark emoji I don't think that demo

site is helping the SEO of a page about

basketball shoes maybe if the site was

called basketball shoes Warehouse I

would want to leave the site name in

there but in this case I don't want to

so in the post title section below where

we can construct our post title using

any of the smart tags available you can

even view all Tags by clicking the view

all tags link

in that section I am going to

simply delete or backspace and remove

the check mark Emoji I'm going to get

rid of the site title I'm going to get

rid of the separator

I'm going to put in a space and then I'm

going to see if there's a basketball

Emoji yes there is

so now I've changed my title to men's

basketball shoes black and blue with

this basketball Emoji this page was a

copy of a red and black basketball shoes

page so obviously you need to change

those pictures out to the black and blue

shoes below that we have where we can

construct our meta description I just

have this very generic meta description

in there so let's change that out to

something more relevant for this page

I've changed that to the best men's

basketball shoes you can find available

in sizes 7 to 13 in stock today

so by using this snippet preview tool I

have dramatically improved the SEO on

this page so I'm going to close out of

that window and then the only other

thing I want to change is the URL

because the URL for this page is simply

black and blue that does not tell Google

or people that this page is about

basketball shoes and in fact if I look

on the all-in-one SEO section on the

right under Focus keyphrase

I can confirm that the Focus key phrase

is not in the URL so let's scroll up in

that sidebar and I'm going to click on

this icon here to get the regular

WordPress post and block information and

here's my URL and where I can edit it so

I'm going to leave black and blue in

because that's relevant but I want to

change this to men's

to men's basketball shoes black and blue

so that's my URL now make sure when

you're done with any of these changes

that you click the blue button that says

update and that's it we've used the

Google snippet preview tool available in

all-in-one SEO to see what our snippet

would look like in Google and other

search engines and we've used that

information to dramatically improve the

SEO of this page now I told you guys

earlier in the video that there is a

third place where you can see this

snippet preview so if we click on the

preview link I'm going to preview

desktop in a new tab

and then hover over the SEO menu up top

and click on SEO preview

we see that same search snippet but kind

of isolated all by itself so you can

decide if this is really how you want

your content to appear in the search
