Q & A
What is the significance of the Battle in the Gullet in the context of the story?
-The Battle in the Gullet is a significant event in the story as it showcases strategic warfare and the use of military intelligence. It involves Corliss taking his fleet to annex Blackwater Bay, effectively cutting off trade and trapping ships in King's Landing. This sets the stage for a major naval conflict between the forces of Aegon and the Valyrian fleet, with the eventual involvement of the Triarchy, leading to a dramatic battle that includes the death of a dragon and its rider, Aegon II.
What are the implications of the delay in the release of Season Two?
-The delay in the release of Season Two suggests that the production timeline may be facing challenges, such as scriptwriting or filming schedules. This could impact the continuity and momentum of the storyline for the audience, potentially affecting viewer engagement and expectations for the show's future seasons.
How does the death of Aegon II's dragon, Vermix, affect the story?
-The death of Vermix is a pivotal moment in the story, symbolizing the tragic and unexpected turns of war. It not only marks the loss of a powerful ally for Aegon II but also foreshadows the potential demise of the Targaryen dynasty. The death is particularly poignant as it occurs at the hands of the Triarchy, who were hired by Aegon's own forces, highlighting the complexities and betrayals within the political landscape of the story.
What is the significance of the character dynamics between House Greyjoy and the Lannisters?
-The tension between House Greyjoy and the Lannisters is significant as it reflects historical rivalries and political maneuvering within the story. Dalton Greyjoy's initial reluctance to aid Aegon II against the Lannisters showcases the strategic calculations and personal grudges that influence alliances and decisions during times of war.
What is the role of the Triarchy in the Battle of the Gullet?
-The Triarchy plays a crucial role in the Battle of the Gullet as they are hired by Aegon II to counter the Valyrian fleet. Their involvement turns the tide of the battle, leading to the destruction of the Valyrian fleet and the death of Vermix. This event underscores the influence of external powers in shaping the outcomes of conflicts within the story's world.
How does the nickname 'Maegor with teats' originate and what does it signify?
-The nickname 'Maegor with teats' originates from the cruel taxation policies implemented by Rainier's small council, particularly Baltimore Celtigar. It signifies the public's discontent and resentment towards Rainier's rule, as they associate her with the harsh and oppressive policies of the past, specifically those of Maegor the Cruel.
What is the significance of the proposed idea to put Queen's Helena and Allison in a brothel?
-The proposal to put Queen's Helena and Allison in a brothel is a strategic and cruel suggestion made by Mysaria to produce bastards as a form of mockery and revenge against those obsessed with bastard blood. It reflects the complex and ruthless political games played during the story and raises questions about the potential inclusion of such a plot point in the TV adaptation.
How does the character Mushroom's perspective on Rainier influence the narrative?
-Mushroom's affection for Rainier colors his narrative, potentially providing a more sympathetic portrayal of her actions and decisions. His accounts, such as Rainier's reaction to the death of her son Maelor, add depth to her character and invite readers to question the motivations behind her actions, including the controversial idea of the brothel proposal.
What Valyrian rituals and magic are expected to be explored in the show?
-While specific rituals are not detailed in the script, there is an expectation that the show will delve into Valyrian magic, including the potential survival of ancient scrolls and texts. This exploration could reveal more about the lost civilization of Valyria and its impact on the current world of the story, possibly setting up future plotlines such as the Blackfyre Rebellion.
What is the significance of Viserys using a cane and a mask?
-The use of a cane and a mask by Viserys is significant as it connects him to his ancestor Aegon the Conqueror, who also used a cane due to his injuries. The mask is not canonical but suggests a continuation of Targaryen tradition and could imply that Viserys has sustained similar injuries, possibly from his battles with Sunfire, thus drawing parallels between him and Aegon.
How might the lore of Valyrian magic influence future storylines in potential spin-offs?
-The lore of Valyrian magic could play a crucial role in setting up future storylines for spin-offs such as a Blackfyre Rebellion show or a Duncan the Tall series. The exploration of ancient rituals and the survival of Valyrian knowledge could lead to the revival of dragons or other significant magical events that would directly impact these future narratives.

Transcripts
hey welcome to yet another episode of
leaks and lore uh this is you know
Patron oh crap I gotta sneeze already
I hate it when that happens it
disappeared
all right so continuing on welcome to
another episode of leaks and lore I uh
you know Patron exclusive I wanted to
talk about just three quick things
because today is you know hot tea day so
I've got to set up for the live stream
and get ready for the day right
um but
uh three different things first one
being uh the battle in the gullet now
this will be something that will likely
happen in season three or four right so
several years down the line speaking of
which let me know in the comments down
below here uh do you all think they're
gonna be able to deliver season two by
2023 I don't see that happening but
someone did comment on my video
yesterday saying that it's potential
um they said it was announced as like
official news looked it up and could not
find it anywhere so that was probably
[Β __Β ] but I mean if they started if
they already started filming they
already started writing the season maybe
but they haven't done that yet so it's
definitely not going to be coming out
until the earliest
you know Springtime 2024 but anyway
battle in the gullet so if you're
unaware what happens is
um now I'm not gonna reiterate every
single detail because I would make this
podcast longer and also that's really
hard to recall off the top of my head
but what happens is
um
there are some uh
warships that want to so basically when
the war breaks out Corliss takes his
Fleet and sort of annexes Blackwater Bay
right he makes a line of his ships
across the Blackwater Bay cutting off
trade in any sort of ships that are
already in King's Landing are stuck
there right that's because it's held by
the greens and the Strategic strategic
strategy wise it's one of the smartest
things to do right so when that happens
um you know I think initially at first
aegon and his Camp wants to uh go and
have uh the greyjoys specifically Dalton
Greyjoy you know take his Fleet the
ironborn fleet around the bottom of
Westeros and go and smash the valorean
fleet who's like currently annexing
King's Landing right so Dalton Greyjoy
being who he is is kind of just like ah
I'll wait right
um there there's some hatred between
house Greyjoy and the Lannisters the
Lannisters are currently on you know
Jason Lannister Tyler Lannister on in
the greens camps uh Thailand Lannister
is the master of laws and
um
Jason is the lord of House Lannister
Lord of Castle Iraq and is like one of
the strong fronts for the westerlands
for the green camps right so Dalton
Greyjoy is like Let Me Wait then he ends
up hearing from the blacks and he starts
uh basically working for Rainier's side
so what ends up happening is aegon 2
sins across the narrow sea they they
sort of reach out to the triarchy
because the triarchy and
Prince Admiral Craig strahar right the
crab feeder on the TV show had not big
fans of Damon uh Damon kills him like he
beheads him in the books and then you
know he bodies him he bisects him in the
TV show but that's what I was meaning
when I was saying in the earlier videos
uh in my earlier videos on YouTube what
Damon does and the step stone is going
to come back to bite him in the ass so
aegon successfully hires the triarchy
and the chiarchy goes and smashes
cordless valarian's Fleet and what's
known as the battle of the gullet so
obviously Jace
um being you know Prince of Dragonstone
uh grenier's oldest child his dragon
vermex is Savage goes to battle right so
what ends up happening is uh Jace flies
through and burns the triarchy fleet
right uh in short he does an amazing job
he literally forces the you know the
triarchy in their Fleet to their knees
but when's what ends up happening is
that it's a big battle there's a lot of
ships there's a lot of Cherokee ships so
when Vermax is flying through like just
blowing out gouts of flame she's burning
the ships one no there's obviously like
with everything in the story three
different versions of it but the one
that makes the most sense in my opinion
is that one of the
um triarchy Bowman right so the Cherokee
ships have these giant ballistas on them
it's the same thing that we saw in Game
of Thrones season
um eight that uh and also season seven I
believe
um it's the thing that uh qyburn shows
Cersei will destroy the skull of
valerion right that's a Ballista it's
basically a crossbow sit on a stand that
delivers a [Β __Β ] pointy object at a
very impressive speed and power right so
these tracking ships have ballistas
um on them and one of the Cherokee
Bowman fires a bolt and it embeds itself
in vermax's Scales because it initially
like Clips vermax's skin but Vermax is
going so fast and so in such a powerful
Beast that it's uh the force behind
Vermax flying makes the actual Bolt from
the ballista embed itself deeper into
vermex and guess what it's attached with
a chain so when ver Max flies off
supposedly one of its wings is ripped
off and it has a gash that's torn in its
belly and of course it dies and falls
into the sea
um
pretty horrific imagery I might add but
when that happens Jace initially
survives it's over water so Vermax
wasn't you know that high off the ground
so Jay survives and is just sort of
floating there and then what happens is
mirus like triariki Bowman nirish Bowman
um they come up and they start firing
arrows and Chase and Jace just sort of
dies uh he takes a few of them and then
one takes him in the neck and then he
and then he goes out it's pretty crazy
uh that you know when you're reading
that or when you're listening to that
firing blood it is tragic it's hard to
you know listen to uh I look forward to
it on the TV show because it's not just
a tragic one of the most tragic deaths
of of a dragon vermex remember we saw
him in episode 5 in the dragon pit when
they're training dragons
um I believe that was episode I might
have actually been episode six but also
an insanely tragic death of the writer
because technically the mirman could
have in the triarchy could have taken
Jace The Prince of Dragonstone as a
hostage and as a hostage as a hostage
and then literally ransomed him to back
to the blacks for money because they
don't really have ties in the greens
versus the blacks aside from the fact
that they don't like Damon and they're
being paid by aegon 2 to work for him so
it's just it's really tragic could have
been avoided it's one of those events
that like makes you really go oh damn
this is gonna be hard to watch on screen
and like I'm pretty sure the actor Harry
Collette who's playing him I haven't
seen him in really anything other than a
few episodes he's been on the show but I
think he can pull it off it's going to
be amazing it's going to be incredible
and intense to watch especially after
this is going to be after he spends all
the time in the north so his storyline
is directly related to the north he's
supposedly marries Sarah snow and like
he and her would make children of Ice
and Fire like technically he's a child
of Ice and Fire himself the Strong's
boast about their blood of the firstmen
and the main reason being why is because
technically where how strong is in the
riverlands most of the people around
them literally all of them are Andals so
it's incredible that how strong was able
to survive all the way from uh the the
first minute and still have the blood of
the first men which means they
potentially have you know Wards and
green Sears and and uh Children of the
forest blood mixed in with him and same
with giant blood which is what makes
them so strong right so Jace his father
is of the first men and his mother
Rainier is a fire so Jace's ice and fire
himself and their kids would be more you
know iced than fire but still it's like
it's amazing it's gonna be really tragic
to watch him spend almost almost I hope
they do it right and they make him spend
like the majority of season two up there
and then he comes back to Dragonstone at
the end obviously he finds out about
Jason about lucerus's death and that's
what ultimately makes him you know come
back down south but in the in the books
when he finds out about his death he's
still supposedly according to mushroom
becomes like best friends with Craig and
Stark and they hunt Hawk fish and he you
know [Β __Β ] uh cregan's Sister Sarah snow
and supposedly according to mushroom
they get married so that's really cool
um but then the other thing that I
wanted to talk about and this one's kind
of equally as tragic it's called the
brothel Queens
um
so in the chapter Rainier triumphant in
Fire and Blood she takes King's Landing
she holds for six months she's known as
the half year Queen also she does a
bunch of taxes and she has this dude
Baltimore
bartimos Celtic are working for celtegar
house killed guards from valyria they
have the same features of house Valaria
and they just can't ride dragons right
but housefullarion and um house celtegar
were in Westeros before the Doom of
valyria like House Targaryen and for
years hundreds of years they were able
to fill their coffers off of the trade
that would flow across the narrow sea so
it is kind of [Β __Β ] when Corliss
um
when the character cordless is saying
like you know to Damon an episode at the
end of episode two like look my house
had to build themselves up like I built
my house
sorry that got broken up by a timer but
it is kind of [Β __Β ] when corliss's
character says you know I built my house
wealth and the name and all that stuff
off the off my own back well not really
buddy you're kind of like Drake in the
sense that you started from Mostly at
the top and then you got to the tippity
top right but anyway
um that's besides the point so how's
how's keltegar
um
we'll play a role in this show I'm
pretty sure uh we see Baltimore's
celtegar taking place at the black
Council but this dude is a butthole he
comes up with
uh sorry about that a bunch of different
laws and taxes mainly when Rainier
finally does take King's Landing and
Rainier taxes the citizens of King's
Landing so much that
um a curse a common curse that said in
King's Landing and in that area for 300
years after that is Ramirez tits
just kidding it's maegor's teats but
Ramirez is given the nickname of maegor
with teats because of how cruel her
small council is one of them bartimos
celtegar is the one who comes up with
all these different uh taxes like
basically they're executing a bunch of
people because you know she's fighting a
war and there's a bunch of green
supporters in King's Landing and she's
like look I'm gonna execute them in
Baltimore's kilty guards like okay if
you want to execute them do it in the
dragon pit and then charge attacks
um for people to come and watch right
and uh you know eventually get to the
point where everybody's like God damn it
she this [Β __Β ] is maegor with teats and
then that becomes a curse but anyway
brothel Queens when she's in power in
King's Landing eventually the idea gets
oh yeah oh yeah one more thing what's
interesting about Baltimore's Health car
is that he starts talking about how the
dragon seeds are bastards and how
bastard blood is really traitorous and
it's hilarious because Rainier still
keeps him around and like all of her
children are bastards except for the
ones that she has with aegon right I'm
sorry except for all of the kids that
she has with Damon right but uh I
thought that was interesting because
bartimos is literally like we got to get
rid of these Dragon seeds they're
bastards bastards have traitorous Blood
by Nature right so that was what's
interesting but the brothel Queens so
the idea gets proposed to rhaenyra right
through mysaria that she should put the
Queen's Helena and
um her mother Allison Ina brothel and
supposedly they raped until they get
impregnated and the reason being is
because masary says they're obsessed
with bastards so much let's give them
bastards of their own so that's really
kind of like it's left up in the air
um
mushroom what's interesting though is
that mushroom loves Rainier so really
anything that mushroom says about
Rainier you kind of have to believe
because why would he talk [Β __Β ] about her
if it just if it wasn't true right so or
I guess you could argue the other side
of that because he does love Rainier
maybe at one point he got scorned by her
and this is why he makes up the mean
things right so apparently when mailer
is killed and I talked about May Lord
being ripped ripped apart uh or cut
apart by a butcher or potentially
squeeze the death by this um redacted
lady who just like got her name she's a
simple minded she got her name by
pounding clothes in in the river right
so she ended up getting killed
um when aegon 2 escapes uh King's
Landing when Rainier takes King's
Landing and he sends mailor away it's
um mailer and Jahira he sends them away
because those are his kids right so
mailor ends up getting stopped in bitter
bridge and killed and then his head gets
sent back to Rainier and according to
mushroom when Rainier saw his head she
wept
right so that's one thing that mushroom
says about Rainier that makes you go oh
okay yeah she's very sympathetic it also
makes you think why would she put
Allison and Helena in a brothel to get
raped well mushroom says she did that
mushroom says she did it so it'll be
something interesting and I want to ask
you all do you think they're going to
sort of include it in the show and sorry
they said to get broken up into two
parts it was supposed to be all one but
the recording stopped
um so or maybe actually I have something
on my phone where I could potentially
put it as all One recording so yeah I'll
try to do that
um
but yeah do you think that that actually
happens and if it did happen in fire
employee do you think they're going to
show it on the TV show that may be too
much
um
yeah
okay and the last thing that I wanted to
talk about for this episode of leaks and
lore and I haven't really been talking
about leaks at all it's all been lore
but that's because you know we're
season one season two is gonna start
filming hopefully within the next six
months so the leaks part will be coming
in and it'll be combined with the lore
part but that's that's the last top like
the lore how far into the Valyrian magic
stuff are they going to explore I want
them to talk about rituals that the
Valyrian Mages performed if if viserys
knows enough information about what
valyria looked like you know 100 plus
years after it was destroyed several
hundred years after it was destroyed
then how are there not more Scrolls and
text you know obviously there's images
depicting what it looked like so there
must be some information I want them to
have Valyrian rituals and Valyrian magic
discussed and maybe some of those
Valyrian Scrolls survive all the way
down to egg on the unlikely I'm sorry um
aegon the uh
don't connect right
um
I want him to use those Scrolls in the
tragedy at summerhall to try to bring
back dragons right that would be really
cool if we have that set up because
we're going to eventually get a
blackfyre rebellion show
um or a Duncan egg TV show which the
Black Friday rebellions directly play a
role into that so it'd be really cool to
see them setting up stuff like that
um one thing we know is that when
viserys uses that cane to get around in
that mask to cover up you know his
eyeless space that's that's uh Targaryen
relics that's a family heirloom it's
mentioned in the after the uh or inside
the episode videos on HBO like that's
not something from Canon right but that
imagery of him using that cane to walk
up the stairs is from the books it's
just aegon that happens to aegon too
aegon has a mangled and crippled leg
um from his battles with Sunfire and
when he ascends the iron throne and he's
using a cane to do it that's directly
from Fire and Blood he's going to be
using viserys's cane I wouldn't be super
rise if he also uses his mask because
um in in the very first battle that he
gets in right with melees and vegar
um aegon is so wounded remember he
sleeps for like nine out of every 10
hours for a year and that's when Eamon
takes over right but his armor is fuse
to his body wouldn't be surprising to me
if he has these horrific burns on his
face and is forced to use a very similar
mask if not the same mask that the
series used but all that's besides the
point I think that's why it sparked my
Intrigue about Valyrian rituals and
Valyrian skulls it's like that should be
something that should be brought up on
the show would be amazing thank you for
listening thank you to all the new
patrons that just joined
um and this is what you signed up for
Content like this this will never be
uploaded to YouTube I may discuss it in
a video but
um thank you for joining and thank you
to everybody who's already been a member
you all rock I do not until it is
oh yeah tonight I'll be live 10 15. make
sure you're there
or you're a square just kidding but yeah
episode nine is always the most intense
episode of Game of Thrones seasons so I
would not be surprised if this episode
is uh you know just as intense
