I have actually been doing this meeing
technique every day for over 100 days
now this is what happened along the way
and I'm going to show you guys the
results and what changed but you got to
focus so like I said this mu technique
is really just how you hold the tongue
in the mouth on a consistent basis the
problem is that I had is you know I was
kind of always a mouth breather growing
up and into my 20s and 30s really so I
would be walking around slack jaw like
this all the time and then I also
noticed even at times where I was
breathing through my nose if you lifted
away my lips and looked under my jaw was
still slacked and my tongue was like
hanging out between my teeth just like
all the time now I had heard about this
meing technique before and I tried it a
little bit here and there in previous
videos like a year or so ago but I
decided to do this consistently on a
daily basis every chance I would be able
to remember myself literally just like
all day long when I started that looks
maxing Experiment video it was a 30day
experiment and I'm like all right we're
going to start this by doing something
that could potentially have a positive
effect on the jaw structure because I
think that's a Cornerstone to look
maxing so I just jumped right into the
me technique and I started to Mew me Mew
everywhere I went cuz I'm mewing now the
first thing I got wrong is mewing isn't
supposed to be a technique where you're
like like holding a clench like focusing
on really pressing the tongue up and
mewing you see what I was doing was I
was like pressing the tongue to the roof
of my mouth and almost kind of clenching
my teeth closed but as you can guess all
of that conscious tongue pressing to the
roof of the mouth was kind of getting
like fatiguing you know what I'm saying
like it was like all the time and
then so I was diving into the meu
research a little bit deeper and I came
across a video with John Mew the guy who
actually coined the term meu he's like
an orthodontist a British orthodontist
and well anyways he basically had a
point where he said you need to create a
little bit of a negative pressure to get
the tongue to stick to the roof of the
mouth essentially when you have the
mouth closed and the way I took this was
like you need to kind of like like
almost like suck in a little bit and
create like a suction of the tongue to
the roof of the mouth rather than like
press it up against the roof of the
mouth so that ended up being the
technique for mewing that really worked
well for me that I was able to do every
single day so I would close my mouth
with my upper teeth over my lower teeth
not clenching just a light close then I
would place my tongue on the roof of the
mouth and then close my mouth and then
make a light sucking
in and it would kind of like suction cup
to the roof of the mouth now at first
even with discovering this negative
pressure technique technique that made
it a lot easier I still really had to be
conscious about meing cuz I would notice
that like after an hour of not thinking
about it all of a sudden my jaw would
start slacking again my tongue would be
coming out and sometimes even just
hanging down like that you know I'm back
to mouth breathing even so I constantly
had to be like get it back up there you
know what I'm saying this was like for
like the first two three weeks to be
honest with you like I was just
constantly like oh we got a Mew we got a
Mew you know what I'm saying like I was
thinking about it all the time also
before this and for these first couple
of weeks my tongue felt big in my mouth
like it felt big even with the negative
pressure technique and you know trying
to keep it up on the roof of the mouth
and closing the teeth like it just felt
like my tongue was taking up so much
space in there like it wanted to come
out me in the car now I also did notice
early on there were other times where it
was harder to keep a mute even while
being conscious constantly about it such
as in a work-like situation when I was
deep into something on the computer
really like focusing on a work task it
just seemed like I naturally wanted to
even go to mouth breathing I also found
it difficult to keep a Mew at the gym I
did try my best to just hold it through
an entire workout and breathe mainly
through my nose but sometimes either
having that feeling of like wanting a
deeper breath like my mouth would just
like naturally open and I'd lose the Mew
and then also sometimes I noticed if I
got like self-conscious at the gym I
know that might sound stupid like like
is anyone looking at me I don't know why
I I'm like that sometimes but it's like
for some reason being like
self-conscious not even only at the gym
but like the gym the store like anywhere
out in public like I would sometimes
go back to a slack jaw and I'd have to
be like get that Mew back boy but all in
all for the first 30 days I was very
consistent at constantly reminding
myself to get in the me stay in the Mew
or get back in the meu position now at
the end of 30 days I thought I saw some
results I thought I had a stronger
jawline looking structure right here if
you can see that and I also thought
maybe we were starting to get more
defined cheekbones up here it was kind
of harder to tell but I was like okay it
does look like there are some results
keep in mind however when I did this
first 30 days of mewing I was running
the looks maxing experiment and I was
also doing other forms of jaw training
now after those 30 days I cut all other
forms of jaw training and I just stuck
to the mewing so going from 30 days now
to 60 days this is where things actually
started to change for the better going
on 60 days it was subtle but gradually I
started to notice my tongue didn't feel
as as big anymore it felt like it was
more naturally just fitting and resting
on the roof of my mouth and fitting
between my teeth rather than before
where it just felt like so big and I was
like all stuffed in there best way to
describe it is my tongue just felt
smaller now I don't think my tongue
actually shrunk or anything or I don't
know but it literally just felt smaller
it felt like it was fitting on the roof
of my mouth better in between my teeth
better it wasn't just like flying out
all the time I was able to be less
conscious about consistently mewing but
stay consistently mewing longer it was
definitely becoming more natural feeling
now between days 60 and 90 I started to
notice a few things regarding nose
breathing it felt like I was breathing
through my nose a lot deeper and also a
lot quieter also very interesting
between days 60 and 90 towards the end
of December I started to notice when I
would wake up from my sleep I was
actually still nose breathing what I
often did in the past when I would go to
sleep it was all good I would be
breathing through my nose like I would
be telling myself to but when I would
wake up I'd be like breathing through my
mouth however with this meu technique
not in the beginning not in the first
like 30 60 or so days but towards 90
days I noticed I was waking up and I
would be still breathing through my nose
now I would be waking up in the middle
of the night like I wasn't sleeping
through the night so I don't think this
had like a positive effect on my sleep
schedule if anyone knows I haven't been
like the best sleeper for like many
years I often wake up in the middle of
the night it's hard for me to go to bed
etc etc but regarding nose breathing
while sleeping I noticed a significant
change in the fact that I would wake up
and still be breathing through my nose
most of the time towards 90 days of
mewing so that was like okay maybe we're
on to something here now also as this
gradually went on to 6090 close to 100
days I really do feel like my tongue
feels even like smaller it just feels
like it fits perfectly in the me
position I have noticed that even when I
am not thinking about it I am pretty
much me most of the time I would say it
would be like a 50-50 chance if I wasn't
thinking about it between like days 60
and 90 where I would be either mewing or
not and then if I wasn't I'd have to be
like bro start me again but like now 900
after 100 days I'm noticing that like
I'm mewing probably without thinking
about it 80% of the time and uh it would
it's just like it's one of those cases
where I'd be like stressed out or
something like deep into like a work
assignment or something like that or uh
I don't know in a stressful situation
out in the world or whatever where I
think my jaw would start to slack again
but other than that just like relaxing
working on something easy I'm mewing
naturally now now another miscellaneous
benefit that I don't know is just me
getting used to this whole process over
the course of these 100 days or is just
maybe in my head or something like that
or maybe is actually some structure
changing but it feels like my teeth fit
together better like it just they feels
like they all fit together so I don't
know if something changed something
shifted or if I'm just getting used to
holding that position okay but what
about jaw structure shape and all of
that well we saw the before we saw 30
days after mewing and some jaw exercises
like I said but let's look at the before
and the after now all right right now
today just a little over 100 days later
and what I'm noticing is it looks like
my jawline is slightly stronger but
where I really notice it is this
cheekbone this like cheekbone indent
right here on the cheeks it looks like
there's more of a hollowed out cheekbone
structure in the afters and I actually
started to notice this in the mirror
myself about 30 days ago and my wife
actually even commented and she said
your cheekbones look like more strong
like hollowed out like just more like
masculine I'm like thank you no I'm just
kidding I don't talk like that when I
talk I open my mouth okay and also
something you should note is ever since
I finished the looks maxing experiment
after those first 30 days I've actually
been bulking trying to gain weight in
fact I'm about 10 lbs heavier than at
the end of that so when it comes to like
fat storage and whatnot usually I mean
my face kind of puffs up a little bit
you know what I'm saying it's just
natural and yeah of course it's way
easier for me to get a double chin now
and whatnot and I I I feel like I do
look a little bit more maybe like
bloated or whatever but even so even
with that I do feel like I have like
that more defined looking like cheekbone
structure going on right here and my
jaws jawline in my opinion compared to
these before and after does look
stronger in The Afters even what do you
guys think are you seeing the same
differences in the before and after or
am I just seeing things and I'm
completely out of my mind let me know in
the comments so yes I do feel like I'm
getting benefits from this and the way I
have been doing it I haven't been
noticing any negative effects so I'm
going to continue to to mute and see
