what's going on guys JPS back with
another video and today we're going to
be reacting to Amsterdam's seamless
traffic flow this summer I'm going to be
visiting Amsterdam and around the
Netherlands as well which I'm very
excited for so I want to be careful with
reacting to videos and not getting too
much of a sneak peek because I want it
to be a surprise kind of when I go but
Amsterdam obviously everyone knows about
all the bikes and things like that but
how does traffic operate you got the
bikes public transport pedestrians and I
see a car right here so so I'm curious
to see what this will be like I've never
I have haven't really checked out any
roads or what it's like I we watched a
couple of Dutch police chases but I
don't believe they were in Amsterdam so
this is going to be the first look at
what a intersection in Amsterdam looks
like so let's get it
what the
all right so off the bat I'm just
shocked by how busy this is and how much
attention people are paying like even
the dog is
looking to cross both sides of the
street like when I see this I just think
about the United States and how often
times people can't even pay attention to
single light much less something like
this like I'm having trouble wrapping my
head around how this even works because
I've never really seen anything like
this this is insane I don't know where
the lights are too maybe here but it
looks like at this uh crossing here with
a lot of cyclists they're waiting for
the tram to go by themselves like
they're not there's no light or guide or
anything like that everything is just so
civil people are paying attention to
each other this is
crazy what
love put a
[Music]
little wow
it's so efficient it's just so
efficient another thing I don't know why
I didn't think about this imagine if
every one of these people was in a
car none of this would even be like
fathomable that's why I'm having so much
trouble like just like how is this even
possible is what I'm thinking
about wow and then also like I was
thinking about here how they're yielding
to the cyclists who are coming from the
other Direction when they do end up
merging onto this Lane there's not like
there's like a millisecond of downtime
before the next cycle is coming it's
just like maximum efficiency like
everything just keeps moving everything
is Flowing so cohesively but at such a
speed
that it's like you're not even you're
hardly even interrupted or burdened by
other people cuz it's just everything
cuz you're waiting
exact this is crazy but I'm saying if
all because in the United States a lot
of people can meet to work one
car I can meet one person in one car
like that's just how it is so that takes
up so much more space so much more
energy fuel exhaust all that it's it's
just the the cycle the cycling is so
much better but everything's so compact
here so I'm sure biking around Amsterdam
not a problem you could probably get
anywhere on a cycle cycle on a bike
what
bicycle e
[Music]
another comment I can hear people's
conversations I can hear their voices
the sounds the ambient I don't know
ambient noises I don't know I'm saying
here but
like when you're at an intersection
United States you're just hearing cars
it's very it takes away The Human Side
of Things everyone has window tint you
can hardly see in here it's feels more
like down to earth in this video like I
and also all those sounds and stuff it's
very quiet I've I've noticed because
it's just bikes and people walking
another thing there was a cyclist like
right here and there was a group of
pedestrians here he went like this to
let them cross and in that like short he
was here so they had to be paying
attention and move quickly right away
it's just the paying attention thing
that I'm really finding surprising
because in the United States especially
when you're driving often times you'll
see people are looking at their phones
even walking on the street looking at
their phones and very slow to respond
and not always always in their own world
not worried about what other people are
doing around them
but when you take into account others
and can do it like this then well others
will take you into account and it's just
better that way but whatever
[Music]
yeah that
[Music]
you
FAL be
B another thing I could hear that train
like a mile away because of how quiet
everything is I've seen these bikes like
this are these like wagon bikes and
they're holding children or is that
cargo or
something I don't know I've just noticed
like a lot of different types of bikes
which just goes to show you how
prevalent biking really is
whoa hey hey
wow and also people do look really tall
like I don't have anything for
comparison really but people do look
really tall right here so I'm excited to
see in person how tall everyone is
[Music]
see best side you think
all right guys that was uh Amsterdam's
seamless traffic flow so honest this
video was way more shocking than I
expected it to be I'm impressed as an
understatement with how I feel about
this right here like this is just so
efficient
um I I just hope that if I I'm sure I'm
going to be biking when I am in
Amsterdam so I I have to try that out at
least you know rent a bike or something
so I hope I'm able to abide by all
traffic laws it you know this this
system does seem very simple and I feel
like if you you know do it a couple
times I think it would be become second
nature like all the yielding and uh
stuff like that so I'm super excited to
visit Amsterdam and the Netherlands of
course I think I'll be I want to check
out Rotterdam as well and some of the
outside areas you know I don't the last
thing I want to do is spend all my time
in the middle of Amsterdam with all the
touristy areas and stuff no I want to be
I'm going to make sure I get out of
there so it'll make for some very
interesting videos to make sure you guys
subscribe so you don't miss them if you
enjoyed this one hit the like button and
I will see you all in the next one peace
