Maria and I am joined with Georgie sanov
from lapo Georgie welcome thanks for
having me amazing stuff going on here so
Georgie is the CEO of Lao it's a payment
company and we want to know more about
this Georgie tell us a little bit more
about your company and your role as a
chief operating officer sure so uh it's
a company which is part of a huge cing
in the industry with probably tens of
years of experience and we are
specialized in providing payment meals
from all around the world we are kind of
One-Stop shop from any online Merchant
who would like to have working payment
methods no matter what part of the world
they're businesses and our latest Focus
hence the name lapo is latam and
specifically Brazil where PX payment
meod is like ruling 90% of all payments
so everybody who would like to make some
online business there should have a
decent PX working and that is what we
are happy to do and to deliver to our
customers uh these payment methods in
specific it's really interesting how you
are in different various regions um so
obviously your payment methods can vary
from one to the other absolutely how
easy is it to keep up with the
regulations of the various countries
that you are in considering the fact
that um obviously different regulations
permit different things when it comes to
um the different Lo local markets yeah
it's definitely challenging it is for
our customers but it is for us ourselves
that is why we invest a lot in
compliance research and we try to be one
step ahead uh so our team makes a deep
research on what is going to be proposed
as a bill or some kind of law or
regulament directive whatever it is so
that we can prepare in advance and tell
our clients this is how it's going to be
regulated so be prepared yourself we are
already prepared so that things can go
smoothly but uh it's one of the biggest
challenges right now but uh on the other
side we are fans of Regulation
regulation is good especially when uh
regulation understands business and it's
flexible enough both things should go
together hand in hand and it's good for
everybody especially for the end users
to have regulation which is the market
that you target most specifically when
it comes to the payment methods if it's
uh I must pick one market it's
definitely Brazil because you know
Brazil is on the hot Trend right now
everybody is talking about Brazil Samba
and entertainment by the way regulation
is also going there hopefully these year
so it's uh like everybody is expecting
some cool stuff to be happening there
and Brazil's is cool Brazilians are cool
Brazilian business is cool so fingers
crossed for everyone to work there and
enjoy their business there we want to
know more about lapo and your Your Role
there so um what you are doing to move
the brand forward to keep aspiring High
to see the the the brand growing yeah as
a part of the holding it was established
like uh two years ago and uh everybody
involved in the project is hugely
experienced in the in in this field uh
we have about 50 people spread in
multiple offices all around the world
and uh what we do mostly is trying to to
research what our clients would need
before even they know they would need it
so we invest mostly in research and of
course in agility and flexible
Technologies one thing that uh we are
proud to offer is uh we have our
developers ready to be in touch with our
clients which is something that you
don't quite often see usually companies
would like to hide their de teams as
something that shouldn't be shown on the
surface however we are so open and we
would like to have such an open
relationship with our clients that uh we
are happy always to have a call

and for the benefits so apart from the
def team what other departments are
there in uh your company that play a
huge impact play a huge role in the
whole um easy processing of um the
payment methods that that the end user

onboarding and Technical Support guys we
have Beast Dev guys and they work hand
in hand because once you sign the
commercial with us you are straightly
directed to the head of on boarding
himself who is taking you under his uh
carry hands and uh makes the process of
onboarding a new client smoothly as much
as possible uh and uh we have also risk
and fraud guys who are happy to deliver
fraud detection and prevention for our
clients especially for someone who's
starting out so we have closed the cycle
and we are happy to offer ready solution
to our so if I can understand correctly
if I am starting out I have no idea how
to proceed with the payment methods we
can come to Lao and they can facilitate
the whole process from start to finish
