sono Lucano sono venuto qui in

Basilicata e vengo da una regione la

Calabria una

regione molto differente dalla

Basilicata la mia infanzia non è stata

Sì felice come chi mi ha preceduto ma è

stata caratterizzata anche

da un periodo in cui ho dovuto vivere la

mia adolescenza in una bolla di vetro in

cui

guardavo le persone attraverso un

vetro E lì ho iniziato a percepire o a

capire che nella vita per avere una

prospettiva

bisogna costruire delle opportunità

sono venuto qui a Potenza nel

2000 quando sono arrivato la prima volta

ho avuto la percezione la prospettiva

che mi trovavo in un territorio diverso

Eppure abitavo 200 km da

qui la lo stupore la meraviglia di

vivere e di uscire la sera alle 10 a

mezzanotte alle 2 di notte camminare per

il centro storico di questa splendida

città e sentirmi sicuro una sensazione

che fino ai 18 anni non ho mai

provato perché Perché vivevo una realtà

e un territorio abbastanza complicato e

dove già in adolescenza Devi guardarti

le spalle devi condividere amicizie

solide Perché ognuno si guarda le

proprie spalle con gli altri quando sono

arrivati qui quando sono arrivato qui la

mia prospettiva è cambiata e da lì ho

iniziato a capire

o a ragionare su cosa significa

opportunità perché molto spesso sento in

questa città nelle persone che conosco

negli amici nei ragazzi che frequento

tutti i giorni che qui mancano le

opportunità e allora Mi sono posto il

tema è che ho portato con me le agende

che negli ultimi 25 anni ho scritto

perché ancora sono innamorato della

carta di prendere appunti Eppure mi

occupo di tecnologia

e ho cominciato a pensare che

l'opportunità

forse è legata alla

fortuna Ma non è proprio la fortuna e

quindi ho cominciato a pensare a capire

perché che per cogliere delle

opportunità bisogna fare qualcosa essere

un po'

proattivi e ho cominciato a capire che

stare qui vivere questa realtà è È una

realtà in cui è possibile costruire

delle opportunità e quando dico queste

cose tutti i giorni nella mia vita nella

mia professione nel mio lavoro molti mi

dicono che

sono un po' pazzo un po'

stupido perché qui manca

tutto e allora io ho iniziato a studiare

il mio metodo scientifico la mia prima

laurea in ingegneria poi la seconda poi

un po' di master in giro per l'Italia

mi hanno inculcato l'idea che per

parlare di qualcosa bisogna conoscerla

Bisogna parlare coi numeri e quindi ho

cominciato a studiare e a vedere che

l'altro giorno proprio è uscito qualche

dato nel mondo ci sono 234 paesi circa e

due terzi sono in

guerra viviamo in un

paese che

rappresenta lo 0,6%

della popolazione mondiale Eppure

rappresentiamo il

70% del patrimonio mondiale culturale

Siamo il paese più biodiverso al mondo e

viviamo in una regione in un territorio

tra i meno antropizzati che ci

sono E allora la prospettiva è un po'

diversa quando si ragiona di

opportunità Ma quant'è la probabilità di

avere successo in un territorio in cui

tutto e devi avviare un tuo

progetto secondo voi è più semplice

Aprire aprire e avere successo un bar a

Milano o a Potenza o in un qualsiasi

comune della

Basilicata Allora forse la prospettiva e

l'opportunità dipendono dalla nostra

capacità di quello che vogliamo nella

vita no un po' come ci diceva Francesco

prima cosa vuoi di più dalla

vita e questa

opportunità l'ho legato molto con la

mia generazione Io sono nato nel

1980 Se ci pensate bene Siamo la

generazione più formata nella storia di

questo

paese siamo più formati di chi ci ha

preceduto e che ci ha dato l'opportunità

di studiare siamo più formati dei

ragazzi Un po' più giovani Perché ancora

la devono costruire eppure siamo la

generazione che io ho chiamato qualche

giorno fa

cerniera perché siamo troppo vecchi per

i più giovani e troppo giovani per i più

vecchi in cui guardo le organizzazioni

datoriali culturali politiche e vedo lì

le persone che da 30 anni occupano quel

posto e da lì parlano di giovani e di

quelli che vanno via perché non hanno

un'opportunità Beh basterebbe alzarsi da

quel posto e tanta opportunità la

costruisci

luogo strano che è

l'Italia strano perché siamo un popolo

io dico da

prestazione quando c'è

da vincere Matera 2019 quando c'è da

vincere un mondiale quando c'è da

rispondere alla

pandemia siamo in grado di lavorare

insieme di stare insieme di diventare

una comunità

ma perdiamo nella

quotidianità siamo molto individuali e

questo non è perché siamo cattivi e

perché la nostra storia noi siamo la

storia dei 6000

comuni siamo la storia dei welfi bianchi

welfi neri welfi Ghibellini Ognuno ha

cercato di raccontare se stesso e di

emergere rispetto agli altri poi siamo

un Sud particolare in cui la fame di

voler fare qualcosa e di

ci ha reso forse troppo individuali

forse la pandemia ha acutizzato questo

tema Non lo so ma è nella quotidianità

che falliamo e su questo credo che

dobbiamo costruire una nuova prospettiva

e una nuova opportunità e da lì ho

iniziato a

pensare come ci è capitato di fare in

questi ultimi du anni che potenza che

non è affatto per

giovani è lì che doveva trovare la forza

per dire

candidiamo a città italiana dei giovani

Io negli ultimi 6 mesi ho passato la mia

vita in questa città a spiegare che

questo non è un concorso di bellezza non

abbiamo vinto perché siamo una città per

giovani non si premia la città che a

misura di giovani ma si premia la

capacità che i giovani e l'intera

comunità ha di dare una

prospettiva diversa che è possibile

farcela stando qui che è possibile

immaginare non come trattenere le

persone ma se per 20 anni abbiamo detto

ai giovani di andare via con i progetti

volte allora il tema

è cosa facciamo perché possano tornare o

restare o come me

venire ci sono tanti non Lucani che sono

venuti in Basilicata e non la scopriamo

mica oggi l'emigrazione

giovanile Io guardo in platea e vedo

tanti di voi che probabilmente hanno un

parente loro stessi sono emigrati fuori

per lavorare per costruire un futuro

differente e oggi si trova in una realtà

che non sempre li rappresenta E allora

tocca all mia generazione farla quella

rivoluzione culturale tocca a noi per

dimostrare che è possibile fare delle

cose e quando dico questo lo dico perché

è facile dire agli altri che qui non è

possibile ma non ci guardiamo abbastanza

dentro per dire che invece Qui c'è

tantissima opportunità e allora

l'opportunità come ho potuto scrivere

l'altro giorno è il punto in cui la

nostra preparazione si intreccia con la

fortuna è quel momento cruciale in cui

il lavoro

e la

serendipità si fondono

serendipità È un termine che ho

conosciuto durante la pandemia ha una

storia questo termine vi invito a

andarlo a vedere ma

serendipità è il trovare qualcosa di

inaspettato mentre si sta cercando

altro perché tu puoi costruirti

un'opportunità solo se ti dai da fare e

la storia è piena di esempi di

serendipità pensate a cristofo Colombo

che cercava le nuove Indie ha scoperto

l'America pensate a Isaac Newton che

mentre faceva degli esperimenti gli è

caduto una testa in testa una mela e ha

scoperto la gravità ma in ognuno di voi

nelle storie che abbiamo ascoltato c'è

serendipità anche in me negli anni che

ho vissuto in questa città nell'ultima

esperienza professionale io ho

conseguito l'ultimo Master a Roma 3 di

secondo livello proprio in Economia e

management E lì la mia serendipità non è

stata nella formazione ma nell'aver

incrociato delle storie bellissime che

mi piace

citare ho incrociato la storia di kebir

un ragazzo di

dell'Abruzzo di una piccola comunità 500

abitanti e loro hanno trovato la loro

prospettiva nella capacità di mettere in

piedi una nuova cooperativa di comunità

La Monna che Prova a dare risposta a

quel territorio sapete da cosa parte dal

fatto che in quel comune non c'è un bar

e apriranno fra qualche settimana un bar

l'ho incrociata nella storia di Katia

Maria una ragazza del sud della

Sardegna che ha messo che gestisce

un'azienda di 200 persone in una regione

in cui manca

l'autostrada Sardegna non esistono le

autostrade e da lavoro al 90% a donne di

quel territorio

l'ho incrociata nella storia nelle

raccontano dell'amore e della voglia di

riscatto di una generazione che in

Calabria sta riuscendo a cambiare le

cose e allora la serendipità è un

atteggiamento non è

fortuna Ma per il solo fatto che ti

impegni a fare qualcosa nel tuo percorso

puoi

essere piacevolmente colpito

dall'opportunità di avere qualcosa di

differente e quali sono gli elementi che

la contraddistinguono Se ci pensate bene

la capacità di

distrarci la capacità di fare quella

rivoluzione che oggi è spegnere il

telefono e guardarsi verso l'altro e la

capacità di avere la testa fra le nuvole

caratterizza il nostro territorio perché

responsabilità e essere

allora se tutto questo è

sfida la

sfida è quella

di guardare

alle nuove prospettive che la tecnologia

ci sta

io c'ho un'idea

differente Oggi tutti parliamo di

intelligenza artificiale o tutti cercano

di capire che cos'è questa intelligenza

artificiale intelligenza artificiale è

una parola che a me non piace tanto

perché è uno strumento un

dato nel passato rispetto ai problemi ma

non ci dà una proiezione di futuro e si

basa su un algoritmo
