🏝️ Introduction to 'Isle of Temptations' Beta Event

The speaker introduces the 'Isle of Temptations' beta event, explaining that there are two key resources: Bullion for research and Magatama for building towers. They discuss four research categories: asset provision (boosts gathering), steady growth (improves hospitals and crew training), armed combat (enhances combat stats), and holistic explore (speeds up lookout tower construction). Clan and City research are also touched upon, with city research referred to as 'lookout tower techs.' The speaker outlines various street forces and enemies, such as the Narak Samurai, and mentions milestone rewards for personal points and city ranking rewards.

05:04

📊 Earning Points and Event Rewards

The speaker details the mechanics for earning personal points through raids, mercenary battles, and the 'claim for fame' event. Personal milestone rewards go up to 26,000 points in the beta, with expectations for higher caps in the full event. They clarify that to qualify for ranking rewards, participants must achieve 12,000 personal points. Points can also be earned through street forces, though they do not contribute directly to personal points. City points and rank rewards based on city rankings are also discussed, with emphasis on how rewards change in the official event.

🔍 Council Hall and New Features

Two new Council Hall features are introduced: 'Temptation Hunt' and 'Claim for Fame.' Temptation Hunt involves leveling up Taro for rewards, gaining experience through explorations, rumors, mini-games, and Easter eggs. Players can earn energy points to participate, with a maximum of three daily (four once Taro reaches level 6). Buggy mini-games, such as the 'gemstone relay,' are cautioned against. Claim for Fame involves upgrading a store with tokens and earning rewards based on store level, with upgrade tokens available daily through various activities.

🏪 Upgrading the Store and Buff Management

The speaker elaborates on upgrading store attributes (reputation, hygiene, decoration, and employees), which all boost revenue equally. Once the store reaches level 30, players can equip a buff at the special facility, which activates at level 20. Buffs from clan members combine into a collective clan buff, though there is a cap on total stat bonuses. Store upgrades also grant more Fame coins, Bullion, Magatama, and Rogue Samurai production. Fame coins are used to buy buffs or resources from the store.

🏯 Special Troops and Buildings

The speaker discusses the Rogue Samurai special troops, designed for gathering due to their high speed and load, with TACT versions offering better stats for battle. The map contains buildings like clubs, Isakaya Houses, and Yukaku Lodges that produce Tower coins, boost stats, and offer points for occupying cities. The Onsen Resort and Manor provide significant point bonuses when occupied, with the Manor granting 5 million points initially and 1,000 City points per minute thereafter. First occupation of buildings also yields substantial rewards.

📝 Conclusion and Final Thoughts

The speaker concludes by summarizing how the 'Isle of Temptations' beta event functions, encouraging viewers to use the information to prepare for the official event. They hint at the possibility of more features being added later, which would warrant another video. Viewers are invited to comment on anything the speaker might have missed, and patrons are thanked for their support. The speaker shares their Patreon link and signs off, promising future content.

play00:00

Hello everyone! In today's video I want  to explain how this 'Isle of Temptations'

play00:06

beta event works. So let's get right into  it. Just like all the other season events,

play00:12

there are two types of resources on this map.  There's Bullion and Magatama. Bullion is used

play00:19

for research and Magatama is used for building  Towers. Research has four categories, there's the

play00:26

asset provision category which mostly increases  your Gathering speed and amount, there's the

play00:32

steady growth category which boosts hospital and  crew training capacity, there's armed combat which

play00:39

boosts stats like attack, defense, health and  damage, and there's the holistic explore category

play00:45

which boosts lookout tower construction and  demolition speeds. Apart from personal research,

play00:51

there's also Clan research and City research.  The city researches are also called lookout tower

play00:57

techs. These techs give your look Lookout Towers  various Buffs and they also allow you to unlock

play01:04

various lookout tower skills. You can occupy clubs  on the map to get coins for doing these lookout

play01:10

tower techs. Also just like other season events,  you have mercenary street forces and enemies that

play01:17

you can raid. The enemies that you raid are called  Narak Samurais. There are three types of street

play01:23

forces the Narak Oyabun, the Narac Ninja and Narak  Wrestler. You get personal points for attacking

play01:30

mercenaries and doing raids, but not for attacking  street forces. There are Milestone rewards for

play01:35

reaching certain amount of personal points  which can be accessed from the event screen.

play01:40

For the beta event, you can get some rewards for  scoring up to 26,000 personal points. However,

play01:47

when the actual event comes out, I think this  number will increase as it'll be much easier to

play01:52

score points there. There are also City points  shown in this section along with the rewards

play01:58

that you get based on your city rank. But keep in  mind that you only get ranking rewards if you've

play02:04

scored at least 12,000 personal points. Currently,  the only way of getting personal points is from

play02:10

mercenaries, raids and from the claim for fame  event which we'll talk about later. For events,

play02:17

currently the beta season only has the signin  event and the prospector Renegade memories event.

play02:24

The other two events are the mercenary event  and the season Conquest recruitment that happen

play02:30

even outside the season map. There are no Ward  drills on this beta map. However, there is space

play02:36

for the War drills to happen so I'm sure when the  real map opens we'll be able to do the ward drills

play02:42

in these locations. If you open your Council Hall  page, you'll see two new features. The Temptation

play02:49

hunt and claim for fame. The Temptation Hunt is  where you have to level up Taro to get rewards and

play02:55

Buffs. You can get experience either by doing  Explorations which give you 60 points each,

play03:02

Rumors which give 90 points each or Mini-Games  which give 150 points each. You can also do Easter

play03:09

eggs which give no experience points, but they  give more rewards than the other three. Every

play03:16

time you do one of these, you'll have to use one  energy and you only get three energy per day, so

play03:22

make sure you use your energy wisely. This can be  increased to four energy once Taro reaches level

play03:29

six. As far as I know, it doesn't really matter  which location you get your experience from,

play03:35

so make sure you do the tasks that give you the  highest experience first regardless of their

play03:40

location. Also for now, some of the mini games  seem to be bugged like this gemstone relay right

play03:46

here. I think they'll probably fix it before the  main event begins so you should be able to do it

play03:52

during that time. However, if you're in the beta  event then you probably want to avoid doing this

play03:58

gemstone relay event as it'll simply waste your  energy and give you nothing. The other event is

play04:05

called Claim for Fame. In this event you have  a store that you can upgrade. You need upgrade

play04:11

tokens to upgrade your store. You can get up  to 1,000 Temptation tokens for using energy

play04:17

and killing mercenaries and street forces, but a  few players also reported getting 450 tokens sent

play04:24

to their mail daily. So I guess there are some  hidden quests that you need to complete to get

play04:30

these tokens. It probably involves killing more  street forces and mercenaries so you should be

play04:35

able to get up to 1,450 upgrade tokens daily.  You also get season points for upgrading your

play04:43

Temptation store up to 7 times per day. There are  four attributes that you can upgrade initially,

play04:50

reputation, hygiene, decoration and employees.  Every time you upgrade one of these attributes,

play04:57

your store level goes up by one. So if you upgrade  any of these attributes 30 times, you'll get to

play05:04

store level 30. From what I've seen, I don't  think it matters which attributes you invest

play05:09

in as they all seem to boost your Revenue by the  same amount. But I haven't done enough testing to

play05:16

know if that's 100% accurate or not. Once you get  the store level 30, you can equip an extra buff

play05:23

at the special facility. You can buy these Buffs  from the store using Fame coins and the level of

play05:29

this special facility can also be increased. The  buff only becomes active once the special facility

play05:36

is at level 20. So even if you equip the buff  before your special facility is level 20, it won't

play05:43

do anything. The Buffs of the special facilities  of all clan members are combined to give everyone

play05:49

a clan buff. So let's say 100 people in your clan  have a buff that gives them 25% crew damage. If

play05:57

they all have level 20 special fac facilities,  then your entire clan should get 25% crew damage.

play06:05

However, there is a cap on these stats that they  haven't mentioned anywhere. So let's say the cap

play06:10

is 20%, Then in that case your clan will only get  20% crew damage instead of 25%. Upgrading your

play06:18

store also lets you get more Fame coins daily and  also increases your Bullion, Magatama and Rogue

play06:26

Samurai production. Now you can collect these Fame  coins and Rogue Samurai by clicking these buttons

play06:32

here. If you can't see them, then it probably  means that you don't have enough to claim yet.

play06:38

You can go to the store to use your Fame coins.  The first item lets you get a random buff for

play06:44

your special facility. All the other items are  resources and speedups that you can buy using

play06:50

these Fame coins. There are also Special Troops  in this event called Rogue Samurai which are

play06:56

basically T8 bulkers with garbage stats, but high  speed and load, so they're suitable for Gathering.

play07:04

Their speed is the same as male bikers and their  load is higher than tier 2 Vehicles. There's also

play07:10

the TACT version of these guys which have much  better stats and can be used in battle as their

play07:16

stats are slightly higher than those of actual T8  bulkers. Now let's talk about the buildings on the

play07:23

map. You have clubs which produce Tower coins for  doing lookout tower techs. There are three levels,

play07:30

occupying level one gives your city 5 points  per minute, level two gives you 15 points

play07:35

per minute and level three gives 30. However,  they haven't mentioned how many coins you get

play07:41

from these buildings. There's the Isakaya House  which also has three levels. Again, they give 5,

play07:48

15 and 30 points per minute respectively and  these buildings produce season TACT coins

play07:54

for doing TACT Samurai research. Again  they haven't mentioned how many coins

play07:59

you get from each of these levels. Then there's  the Yukaku lodge which also gives you 5, 15 and

play08:06

30 points per minute. These buildings boost your  crew attack defense and health by 5% at level 1,

play08:13

10% at level two and 15% at level three. Then  there's the Onsen Resort which gives you 10,

play08:20

20 and 50 points per minute at levels 1, 2  and three respectively and you can get 20,

play08:27

30 and 40% crew attack defense and health at those  three levels. Finally, you have the Manor in the

play08:34

center which gives you 5 million points when  first occupied and then 1,000 City points per

play08:40

minute after occupation for as long as it is held.  All other buildings also give you first occupation

play08:46

points. The Onsen Resorts give you 50,000,  20,000 and 10,000 first occupation Points each

play08:53

at levels 3, 2 and 1 respectively, while The  Lodges, houses and clubs all give you 30,000,

play09:01

15,000 and 5,000 first occupation Points each at  levels 3, 2 and 1. So that is pretty much how the

play09:09

'Isle of Temptations' beta event works. I hope  this video helps you prepare for the real 'Isle

play09:15

of Temptations' event when it begins. If there are  many more features added during the actual event,

play09:20

then I might make a separate video for it.  If there's anything I missed talking about

play09:24

in this video, then let me know in the comments  down below. Before I end this video, I'd like

play09:28

to thank all of my patrons for the support. To  support me you can find my Patreon link in the

play09:34
