You may think about it for a while.

Well, some people might have lived on what they have dreamed for years,

but most of people, especially teenagers,

they didn't even know how to answer this question.

If you already know the answer, that’s good,

but if you don’t think you do, so I think you gotta listen to this.

So this is also what happened to me when I, until I hit 20 years old.

Well, since I was in elementary school,

I had always been the top student in my class, consistently ranking first.

I was considered to be one of the high achieving students,

who always won several competitions.

However, entering high school, all that motivation vanished.

I was no longer to become the top student in my class,

not even in the top fifth or even 10th. I was in the top 16.

Well the transformation and the transition to different and new school,

new environment, and new friends who were all much more than capable than I,

was made me think that I wasn’t that as exceptional as I had thought.

And it took years, and months, and weeks for me to think about it,

to find my place and to find my purpose.

I was so desperate at the time I was even afraid to make a dream,

because I simply just don’t know how to reach my dream

unless I like to do writing down on my diary.

And I remember when the first grade of high school

I wrote down only two goals in my diary.

The first one is I really want to be an engineer,

because I really want to pursue civil engineer,

even though I don't know how to get there and what I'm going to do later.

And the second one I wished experience flying on a plane for free.

Well,

I also add one more sentence prayer below the schools,

and I said, Dear God, I don’t know what I want to be right now,

but I am not a smart student, nor can I be the top student in my class anymore.

But God please,

I still want to be well known in this school among many other students,

I still want to rise above the crowd in any other ways.

Well, honestly, at first these 2 goals actually weren’t a really clear cut path.

I was kind of wishy washy on ever pursuing these goals

untit I finally heard about this concept,

that is about how to set manifesting goals,

and how to use our brain to help us achieve these goals.

And these methods calls as manifesting.

Growing up, I was a really visual person, I was a really visual kid.

I always visualized everything my future, my goals, my dreams,

and even what I want to do tomorrow.

And never had. I realized that my habit of visualizing my dreams

and writing it down on my diary is actually part of manifesting.

Well, manifesting is actually,

It's actually the idea and concept about focusing our thoughts,

our energy on your goals, and visualizing your success,

and taking actionable steps towards your goals.

It’s an idea that if you focus your mind

to your something that you want to achieve, that you can turn it into being.

So to visualize my goals, I created a vision board

that feelings with pictures and words that I want to achieve.

Well, this wasn't actually my vision board,

but this was actually, that’s how it’s pretty much looks like.

So I was once inspired by a novel I read about

a boarding school student who successfully went to Canada to study abroad.

I then imagined myself wearing a graduation gown,

and for no reason I just wrote down Harvard School.

I was never imagined myself flying to America and, you know, studying there.

But all I know is just Harvard is one of the top school in the world.

And on the other day, I bought a sketchbook with the cover of

the book featuring the image of the London Bridge.

wishing that one day I can see this giant London Bridge and go to the UK.

Until finally, these dreams that I put on my vision board come to reality.

When I was in 12th grade of high school,

I finally took my dreams,

flying from Maiden City to the United States and studying there.

Play flying on a plane for free, and getting a scholarship.

And this method also actually led me into selected to be one of

the students representing my University Institute of Technology and Jakarta,

to doing the internship program in one of the renewable energy company in Singapore

and becoming the most outstanding student of Itpl and in 2023.

Well, the story hasn’t ended yet,

but I believe that manifesting doesn't always make our dream into reality.

It doesn’t work that way, it doesn’t work that quickly unless you have to do

some efforts to make it achieved.

Well, some of you here might have heard about the terms about life goals,

life purpose, and life plans.

Yes, we might define them as a similar meaning,

as the dreams that we want to achieve in the future,

but they are actually different meaning.

So two years ago, a teacher of mine taught me that in creating a life plan,

there are at least three steps that we have to take.

The first one is finding me, sharpen me, and proven me.

So let's talk about it one by one.

My step of finding me, the journey of finding me begins when I was given

a task by one of the leadership development program that I'm

participating in to create a 70 year life plans from birth to my age of 70.

I was forced to confront the question I have never considered before,

the question about life goals and life plans.

And it took weeks for me to finish them all.

I mean, I never met this one before,

and I had no idea what I'm going to do until my age 70 years old.

But then if you want to make like this,

you actually have to break them down into three steps

that I called a big rock, medium rock, and small rock.

We cannot achieve our big rock if we don’t know

what are the small rocks that we have to take.

So the big rock is our future plans in terms of ten years ahead minimum.

And then the medium rock is minimum five years ahead,

while the small rock is our future plan from now to the next three years ahead.

So you have to think about them, then you can make your own life plans

to find who you want to be.

Talking about life plan and life purpose,

when I was too focused to create my life goals that I want to achieve,

I forgot one thing.

What is my purpose in living and being born into this world?

and that is the most important thing.

Well, I then came to understand

that life goals and life purpose are two different things.

I believe that true dreamer never stop learning.

But learning doesn't always have to be from the classroom or only from books.

can be from as simple as watching YouTube videos

or anything from your social media.

But then you have to think about this step in order to sharpen your skill,

the first thing is you have to keep doing and learning.

Sharp yourself with the knowledge relating to your fields of your dream.

You can also join relevant communities,

or create team member that has the same visions of you.

And the last one indeed, having a mentor and role model is also important for you.

And then what one also the most important thing that you have to exposure yourself

to the relevant ideas to your dream.

of our dreams we want to achieve,

we can validate our desires by gaining experience that related to those dreams

The third step is proven me.

I believe this step is going to be strengthen you to be the expert.

But the first thing is you have to find your arena.

Well, I used to think after graduating from bachelor's degree,

I want to pursue master's degree right away and graduate before 25 years old,

and then continue to PhD and graduate before I turn 30,

and then getting married maybe, and keep working, and that’s it.

But then I realized that in general,

there are several career cluster that we have to choose.

Either you want to be in civil servant, academies, and your activist professional,

or even an entrepreneur.

And then since I already knew that I want focus

to work on the professional field,

I decided to not continue Master degree

right away after graduating from bachelor degree.

Well, actually, there’s nothing wrong whether you want to go to work,

or immediately pursuing master's degree.

But imagine if I didn’t know about this concept, I would have taken a wrong step.

Either it meant to be something like, if you want to be like an academies.

So, and then after you choose your arena,

you have to picture yourself as an expert in your arena.

And then you have to think something that you can make
