guys welcome back to the keyword
Dominator boosted training in this
training video we're going to be going
over the four-step process to start
building out your target list and in the
process here we're going to be
downloading a lot of data reports from
Amazon and helium 10 and brand analytics
things like that and then we're going to
import them automatically into the tool
here and I'll show you kind of how this
data source Hub works in the previous
video we showed you how to get the menu
here visible with the authorization
process so if you're not there yet go
back and watch that video the first
thing you're going to want to understand
is when you authorize your sheet what
it's actually going to do in your Google
Drive and within your Google drive when
you authorize your copy you're going to
have a FB Excel tools and fbxl Export
files
folder that gets automatically created
the export files is where any of the
exports from keyword Dominator or any
other fbxl tool for that matter will get
sent automatically when when it gets
exported from the system and then FBA
Excel tools folder this is where all
your tools are going to be so in this
case I've just got the keyword Dominator
but you click this subfolder and within
that you're going to have your copy here
it gets automatically moved and then
you've got a new folder and an imported
folder and within the new and imported
folder you've got three kind of main
keyword Source sections that we have
integrated so far we'll probably end up
adding more but zg stands for zon Guru
h10 stands for helium 10 Amazon is
obviously in the Amazon report so the
idea is we're going to be quickly
opening up the tabs for what we need to
download and then we're going to save
them to these folders then we're going
to hop back into the tool here and we'll
be able to monitor via this kind of data
source Hub import status us what's been
imported and kind of track the progress
there so that's what I'm going to show
you how to do right now first thing you
want to make sure you're you've got set
up is you've got your helium 10 account
ID if that's the competitor source that
you're going to use right now we've got
it set up for you can either use helium
10 or zon Guru I'll have a second video
that goes over the zon Guru setup but
this helium 10 setup is pretty standard
here and this will be the default set as
far as have all the Asin check boxes
checked the cerebro tab brain analytics
opportunity Explorer search query report
this Amazon search bar that's going to
take you to keyword.io if you want to
use that so that's another one you can
toggle these on and off if you don't
want to deploy them but this is just a
good kind of combination to get started
with then you got the helium 10 x-ray
Chrome extension and then we've got
three ad reports there and just a side
note the all the three ad reports for
the summary version not the daily
version so in case I forget to mention
that later alright so helium 10 account
ID you can just go to like a cerebral
tab or any of the tools if you look up
in the URL that number there is my ID
that just helps us kind of quickly open
up all the tabs that we need and then
First Step we're going to want to go to
Amazon and actually find kind of a main
keyword search page so we're going to do
golf travel bag or Draw golf travel case
okay so just type that in and then you
just get out of that cell so it's not
active and then you come up and search
Amazon and get top 10 asuns this is
going to take you to the Amazon search
page if right here you see like a little
error pop up in your URL for a pop-up
blocker you may need to turn that off
for this thing to open successfully so
one other thing I'll mention if you do
have a bunch of Chrome extensions it may
be better to run this system in
Incognito it runs a lot faster if you
don't have a lot of the extra Chrome
extensions running in the background but
what we're doing here is we're just
looking for the top 10 asens one quick
way to do this from just a revenue
standpoint is I'm going to enable helium
10 here all right so we've searched up
golf travel case and I've opened up
x-ray just with the helium 10 Chrome
extension a couple things I'm going to
do are and I'm actually going to filter
out the sponsored so I'm just going to
hit the filter results hide sponsored
apply filters
and then I'm going to sort by Revenue
all right and for the sake of this
example I'm just going to pick the top
10 here
you would want to definitely go down
through if you've got a more unique
differentiated product if there's more
relevant ones and then not so relevant
ones like some of these prices are
pretty wide ranging if yours is more in
the 250 dollar range and those are
significantly different than the others
you'd want to kind of compare the top 10
of those but you get the point so what
I'm going to do actually here is open up
my
keyword Dominator boosted Windows side
by side
all right and then what you want to do
is just copy and paste the top 10 asins
over here in the top 10 acen section and
just one important thing is that in this
cell right here where it says my asyn
we'll pretend that this 298 one is ours
so you can just hit this copy buttons an
easy way to do it from the Chrome
extension and then just paste it in
these cells you can see I've already
pasted them in there though and these
are going to be the top 10 that we're
going to compare and just get a really
good understanding using keyword
Dominator boosted what keywords that
they're ranking for and kind of prune
them down really quick to we can know
what we need to optimize our listing for
and then build our PPC campaigns for so
that's kind of the concept once you've
got your top 10 you can pretty well just
close out of
this search page here what you'll do now
is go up and click on step two download
data you'll just want to make sure at
this point that you've got all the boxes
checked that you want to open for the
asins if you're using helium 10 it's
going to open you to scribbles for those
pages so we can download all of these
listings listing content as far as the
copy and then
obviously here you want to be logged
into helium 10 and then to your Amazon
Seller Central so all these reports open
up and don't ask you to log in so that's
kind of the important point there so
we're just going to hit download data
now and you'll see it's going to open as
Adam would say a whack load of tabs all
right and then while they're opening you
can go ahead and click on the scribbles
tabs and just hit the X on these and
that'll kind of speed things up we've
got to refresh these Pages anyway to
make sure that we get the correct
listing data to import so I'm just going
to buzz down through and X out of
stop these from kind of refreshing
all right so you can see the last tab
here actually opened you a cerebro
search and inputs your top 10 ascens
those get pulled from that Google sheet
so what you want to do here is just kind
of take a glance down here at how many
keywords you have up to this point and
then a good numbers like between 2000
and 3000 in my opinion you can do more
if if needed but I like to just kind of
pay attention to anything over I usually
start at like 300 search volume to see
where that gets me hit apply filters I
don't mess with any other filters
because we're just interested in really
the organic rank data and then some of
the other columns that get exported with
this
data set but the organic ranking is
already in there so you don't really
need to mess with any of the other
filters so there's 3 000 I'll go up to
say fourth 400 here just for the fun of
it hit apply
all right and we get around
2200 keywords so that's going to be good
now that we've gotten to the point where
we're starting to save the files it'd be
a good time to hop back in here and look
at the data Hub section of the settings
tab it's got in it the file name code
and the location but you can see here so
for our Asin files that we'll get from
scribbles you're just going to do a one
underscore and then the async code
you'll see me do that the cerebral one
that we were just on we're just going to
name it capital CR Brand analytics is
going to be ba so on and so forth the
search query report we're going to do
sq1 through sq10 and that's because
there's a thousand data rows that we can
grab but there's 10 pages of 100 each so
that's why it's it's sq1 through sq10 so
I'll show you that and then finally our
ad reports same type of deal just two
digit codes so if you if you ever forget
what you need to name it you can just
come back here and look and then once we
go to import it this import status is
going to automatically update and tell
us if we messed up or not so I'm hopping
back to to the cerebro will start there
and just kind of work our way around it
doesn't matter what order you go in you
just need to get all the data points
that you want so another Point actually
I'll bring up at this point if you don't
have the Google Drive for desktop I'll
flash a little link here on the screen
that you can go and download it there
super helpful if you're doing this it
really reduces the number of clicks that
you need to that you need to do the
other thing you want to have enabled if
you go up to settings
and then you need to do downloads ask
where to save each file have that on and
then it'll ask you instead of just
automatically saving it that way you can
put it right in your Google drive folder
where it needs to go and the fewest
number of clicks I'll show you a few
other tricks here in the process but
export data
and then you just got to remember CR is
what we're naming this and then you're
going to do a CSV file whenever
available those are a lot faster so
we're going to save that and because I
had that that Chrome option on to ask me
where to save things It'll ask me here
all right and then what you can do is
just go now to your Google Drive
and you see we've got that desktop app
allows you to just click here kind of in
your on your hard drive and go right to
the Google drive folder and we want to
save these all in the keyword Dominator
and then keyword sources new folder and
then here's our subfolders here so what
we can do is actually back up a step and
then you can put this new folder as like
a favorites here if it'll let me let's
see all right so now we can just from
from here on out just click one time
there and then you've got your
subfolders here this is a helium 10
report so it's going to go in h10 and
then it's just going to be CR
and we're going to hit save and then you
can just kind of X Out of these as you
go so that's that one I'm going to leave
the scribbles ones to last the Amazon
page is the first one to open so it
opens you back to a search page based on
the keyword that you have imported there
on your settings tab here you're going
to want to download the cerebral or the
X-ray report so you'll click on the
Chrome extension here and you could have
left this open when you were picking
your top 10 acins that's maybe a more
efficient way to get this report but
that's all right all right and I'm going
to leave the sponsored products that's
fine the main thing is that you have
your top 10 products there's a row for
each of those in here and then just
going to go down here to export and
click that button there and then this
file is going to be named XR and it's
going to go into the helium 10 folder as
well
all right so it stays kind of open to
that folder which is nice so we're just
going to name this XR hit save and then
I can go and get out of that for the
brand analytics you do need to have kind
of a group of asins so there's the Asin
Grabber from Helium 10 you can use that
or you could use this report that's got
all your asins in it so I'm gonna go
ahead and show you how to do it with
that method but I'll just go ahead and X
out of this now and move on to the next
one
this is the opportunity Explorer for
this one you need to have the Chrome
extension HTML table scraper we went
over that in the previous video you need
to have that downloaded and installed
and then you can just click on the top
search term that kind of matches your
main phrase which is this one all right
and for the opportunity Explorer once
you get to this page you're going to use
the Chrome extension just right click
down here kind of in the rows of the
table and hit HTML table scraper copy
table to file
and then this one is going to be OE for
opportunity Explorer hit OK
and because this is an Amazon file we're
going to back up one there and just
click on Amazon
and hit save all right and then we get
out of that one brand analytics here
you're going to want to go down where it
says view 25 rows click that to a
hundred
for the reporting range you can change
it to whatever you want quarterly weekly
monthly and then obviously you'd want to
pick kind of the most recent year and I
like the most recent quarter just hit
apply there so same deal as the
opportunity Explorer just click one time
HTML table scraper copy table to file
and then here's the sq1 and we're going
to do that through 10. I'm going to make
it all capital I don't know if that
matters or not but
uh do do capital and all else fails hit
OK all right and then this is an Amazon
file so it goes here the other thing
I'll mention here is make sure if you
click on customize columns that by
default this should be what you have
this is kind of my account unchanged but
if for some reason yours is different or
you've added for some reason some of
these shipping speeds and whatnot this
is going to be the format that Imports
into the keyword Dominator boosted tool
for now we can make this dynamic in the
future but this is what it's set up to
so all right and I'm going to go ahead
and pause this and get the other nine
and then I'll be right back all right so
I'm going to close out of that one now
and brand analytics here's where you
dump in the group of asins off the front
page so one quick way you can do this is
you can go back to keyword Dominator and
just open up a new sheet or actually I'm
just gonna file import and then I'm
going to open up my I like the list
format which is this one
I'm going to open up the helium 10
x-ray here and I'm just going to insert
a new sheet I'm just going to grab all
the acins off the whatever top 60 I
think it was or maybe I removed the
sponsored listings but that's more than
enough so
I'll go ahead and just grab the
sponsored ones as well I don't think it
really matters
all right and I'm going to plug those in
here
and then you're going to pick your
reporting range usually you get more
keywords I think if you do it over a
wider range you have to experiment a bit
with it but I'm going to do quarterly
and that's fine
all right and then you're just going to
download that as a CSV
all right and this is an Amazon report
so it goes in the Amazon folder and
that's code for this one is going to be
Capital ba for brain analytics hit save
all right and I'm just gonna get out of
that one now and this one's optional but
it is pretty handy you can take say your
top five keyword phrases and plug it in
here to get the Amazon autocomplete
results so say golf
freaking spell golf travel case is one
of them
and you just run that I think you get so
many free chances per day on this to run
it all right and then you can use the
HTML table scraper and just do cop copy
table to clipboard in this case and then
go back we're actually going to go over
to the keyword Source tab I'm going to
delete this I don't really need it
anymore all right and I'm in the keyword
Source tab here and I'm just going to
click custom list
and this is where you can put any sort
of custom list it may have some extra
rows when you first paste it in but or
columns rather but you can always delete
those you can see it pasted in some
extra columns as well but I can just go
ahead and delete those it's not
important I'm just going to hit delete
and clear the data there just so you
have your custom list here and then so
obviously you could run whatever keyword
tool you want to get a custom list and
just append to this list to make it as
long as you want you could take maybe
your top five to ten phrases put it back
in for the Amazon search bar to get more
of these you get the idea so I'm just
going to close out of that and move on
to the ad reports so here we're going to
want our advertised products our search
term summary and our search term
impression share reports so to do that
you'll just click your create report and
one thing as I mentioned earlier you're
going to want to make sure that the
summary version not the daily
for your sponsored products and Search
terms you know 30 day range is usually
pretty good so here you're just going to
make sure it's on sponsored products and
then advertised product is the first one
you're going to do again summary last 30
days and then you can just hit run
report and then I'll just run one of
them here so that's that one all right
and then you can click up here and go
back to kind of the main report Hub and
then when it's ready to download
there'll be a little
download icon here all right and then
once it's ready to download you can
click this button here and it'll
download the other thing is if you
already have them listed in here you can
always just come over and hit run report
and they'll rerun for that day so the
idea is we need to add in our Search
terms search term report and then also
the
uh search term repression share report
if you want that one all right so the
search term report is usually on by
default here Search terms sponsored
products summary last 30 days that's
what we want so we'll just run that
all right and then lastly we're going to
get our search term impression share
report
so just sponsored products
search term we're going to change this
to search term Impressions here same
thing with summary now here you may want
to do a closer range to today just
because this report is kind of telling
you how much impression share your
keywords and products are taking up and
I think it's more relevant kind of the
tighter the tighter the range to the
current day is so maybe you do like last
seven days let's say and just do a
summary run report there
all right and then when you're ready to
download them again you're just going to
click this button here and you'll get
the window to save it the advertised
products we're going to name it AP
and that goes in the Amazon because it
is an Amazon report so it's going to be
AP like that that is a Microsoft Excel
file which is fine
keyword Dominator handles that it's just
not as good as a CSV so
don't really know why they mixed them
all and matched them but whatever
all right search term report is going to
be you guessed it St
and then your search term Impressions
share you'll save it the same way it's
going to be s i
all right now for your scribbles reports
what we're gonna have to do here if the
asyn date is not loaded is just reload
the URL that's plugged into the browser
there and you can just single click and
hit enter if needed and it'll refresh
all right so I'm not going to save all
these but they're done the same way you
just click on the URL here hit enter and
then you'll see it Imports all the
listing copy quick way to save these if
you double click there on the Asin which
is up in the URL and then just hit Ctrl
C on your keyboard and then you're going
to go over to export and then export to
CSV this is a helium 10 file so you're
going to save this in the h10 folder one
other key Point here is
the way it should load from all the
tests that I've done is from left to
right with the furthest one to the left
being your Asin but you just want to
make sure whichever one you Mark is the
first Asin it matches up with what you
have in your settings so I'll show you
that here in a minute but go back to the
helium 10 folder now and we're just
going to save these using one underscore
and then the Asin so it's going to be
one underscore and I have my acin copy
there to the clipboard so that's why
it's there I'm going to hit save
all right and then you can X out of that
move on to the next one what I was going
to mention though is
you can see two in eight or the last
three digits and then two and eight are
the last three digits here so this the
tabs should open up in order and then
kind of match the sequence the most
important critical one though is that
you just get your Ace and if it's in our
example two and eight that we make sure
then just double check that that is in
fact the one that that's right there and
you should see all your listing copy and
everything pop up so that was the point
I wanted to make and then once you're
done with all of these asyn files you've
successfully gotten all the files and
you can see what we were what we're
doing is we're basically aggregating all
these reports the first time and then
we're going to import them in all in one
fail swoop and then subsequent times if
you want to do this maybe once or twice
a week or a couple times a month you're
not going to need obviously get all your
asyn files again you could but you don't
you don't necessarily need to you
obviously want to get probably the
cerebral report potentially a few of
these Amazon reports likely some of your
ad reports if you use a keyword
Dominator boosted to kind of track some
of your PPC performance and and things
like that but you'll have to kind of
make a judgment call on which reports
you want to update periodically but
obviously they're not going to all need
to be updated each time and to toggle
them on and off you're simply just going
to click the check boxes that you
wouldn't want and then the next time you
click the download new data only those
tabs are going to open and then once
those that data is imported which we're
going to do here in just a second you'll
see that only the ones that we have
checked are going to import so that's
how you can kind of tell the system what
you want to work with and what you don't
so hopefully up to this point it's made
sense what we've done as far as saving
the files in the applicable folders here
you can see I'm in my Google Drive in
the keyword sources new and just kind of
give you a high level overview of what
we did in this video helium 10 we've got
10 asym files that we saved from
scribbles with the number one being RAC
and that was the The crucial step then
we've got the cerebro file named CR the
X-ray export name XR then if we back up
to our Amazon folder you've got 10
search query report files name sq1
through sq10
and then we've got our search term ad
report summary version we've got our
search term impression share name named
SI that's the summary version
the opportunity Explorer OE brand
analytics ba and then the advertised
products report sponsored products
summary version is AP
so those are the data sources that we're
using in this and then for the zon Guru
folder we'll have another training video
to show you how to get those files but
it's it's more of kind of the same steps
it's just different screens so
once you've got that down pat you're
pretty well ready to kind of maintain
the system and now it's just a matter of
generating our Target lists and then
over time periodically bringing in more
keywords and just kind of working them
into the mix so in order to get now the
files into the system it's really simple
you're just going to come up here and
hit import data into keyword Dominator
and it's just going to go out now to our
folder within Google Drive and this
script takes about a minute or so to run
and you'll see it as it's running it's
going to update in this sheet the files
that it brings in so I'll just give it a
second here and you'll see it populate
all right so there the asins just came
in and all it's doing it's bringing in
all this data automatically so you don't
have to copy and paste or go up the file
import and do all that stuff and paste
it to the right place it's just bringing
all the data in and putting it in the
right place so all you really need to
worry about then is building your target
list
it all right and then once it's done
you're going to get this prompt here you
can go ahead and just hit OK you gotta
make sure the pointer finger pops up
there and then let the green kind of
loading bar finish all the way and then
you'll see your status update and then
that finish scripting green will pop up
and that's kind of how you know you're
done with the import I just timed it it
took about a minute 20 seconds to do all
that on my computer I've got a pretty
slow internet too so hopefully it's
faster on yours hopefully this is pretty
intuitive I mean it's it's basically
told us now that it has found and
imported all of these files here for the
search query report you can see it
numbers each one so if you fat finger
one and and put like 11 or something
else it'll say not found and then you
can go back and update that one and
import it in
but yeah this is the process we've got
all the data in here now and I'm gonna
actually stop this video here in just a
second but first I want to give you a
little more background on where the data
is stored so all the Asin file data is
hidden in in Hidden sheets you don't
need to worry about that cerebro data
same thing the brand analytics
opportunity Explorer search query report
if we go into the source tab right now
we can actually find that data it gets
imported directly into here so if you
remember we brought the the data in here
from the keyword.io into the custom list
but there's also the search query report
so we can expand this section here and
we'll find that the opportunity Explorer
data now is just right here and the
brand analytics data is going to be
right there so that's kind of how that
works all right and then lastly the
cerebro and zong Guru tables the data is
not populated in these two areas quite
yet they actually get populated in The
Next Step which I'm going to cover in
the next video here where we're going to
add our cerebro or zon Guru keywords
followed by kind of the manual keywords
so that's a preview of the next video
where we talk about building out our
Target list so stay tuned for that one
I'll see you guys there
