to kick things off let's see when the

anticipated release date is at a high

level we're looking at experimental yet

in June barring technical difficulties

you know so we're looking at stable in

July and and console launch in July yet

so there you have it we're looking at

the experimental release sometime this

month in June with the full stable

release coming shortly thereafter in

July along with the console release and

the first thing that they showed us in

the game was the character creation menu

so we have a total of two genders male

and female and for each gender you can

choose between four different races

white black native question mark and

Asian and each race will have four

different faces so you have a total of

16 different faces to choose from for

either male or female then I saw about

32 different eye options eight different

hairstyles nine different hair colors

and a variety of mustaches chops and

beards I think there are many more these

are just the ones that they showed us in

the live stream and there are some weird

combinations here so in addition to

creating your own character you can also

select a pre-made character so they said

they're going to expand this upon launch

they're still working out some bugs

they're still implementing some things

and so this is just the list that they

have right now this is not what we're

going to see in the 1.0 release but we

did get to see some of the new armors

actually on these characters here so

first up we have Danny tro I mean I

guess Manny but it looks like Danny tro

wearing some biker armor this is going

to be classified as a medium armor so we

have light medium and heavy armor now

this next character is a female wearing

the enforcer armor and it's really cool

to see the female version of these

armors looking entirely different than

the male version of the armor we've seen

the enforcer armor on a male it's like a

blue suit with a black vest and a red

tie next up is this female wearing what

I think is the scavenger armor we've

seen the scavenger armor on a male

before and it has the kind of Red Scarf

so that's why I think this is the

scavenger set and this female here I

think is wearing the Rogue set it looks

like a a set of light armor to me so I'm

going to go with Rogue and then last up

we have Ricky Bobby here who's wearing

what I think is probably the ranger set

of armor I'm not entirely sure I haven't

seen this one before I don't think and

so I'm actually going to kind of go

linearly through this cuz they've really

jumped around a lot in the live stream

and it's I'm going to have to jump

around with them so as they were opening

up the creative menu to pull some armors

in the game they started typing and it

started showing some icons for some new

things that I've never seen before so I

just kind of wanted to like freeze frame

on this for a second and analyze what we

can see here so on this first little

scene here we can see as he typed in as

for the assassin armor it pulled up the

chassis for all of the new vehicles

which we did not see in this stream they

said we're going to see the vehicles in

the next stream but uh it just gives you

a little bit of a glimpse into there are

going to be new vehicle parts to craft

and new vehicles well they'll be the

same vehicles but they'll look a little

bit different also down here we're

looking at a new mod I'm not entirely

sure what this is but it looks maybe

like XP so maybe there's some kind of

like um augmented reality headset that

you can wear that gives you XP gain or

something and then this red AK-47 over

here that might be the legendary bundle

icon now and so he pulled in a full set

of assassin armor we're going to see

that in just a second but as he was

putting it on I did catch a couple of

frames of what the armor bonuses are so

in case you don't know armor is now

going to consist of four pieces you'll

have your head gloves feet and then your

outfit which includes your upper and

lower torso basically and so each piece

will give you some kind of a benefit for

example the assassin armor is going to

help your sneaking right that makes

sense the mining armor is going to help

your Mining and so on but if you wear

all four pieces of a certain set you're

also going to get an additional fifth

bonus on top of all of that and there

are going to be 16 sets of armor and we

now know what all 16 are going to be I'm

just going to blaze through them here

for you real quick your light armor are

going to be primitive Lumberjack

preacher Rogue athlet atic enforcer

medium armor is going to be farmer biker

scavenger Ranger Commando and assassin

and your heavy armor will be Miner Nomad

nerd and Raider armor this has been

confirmed over on the forums by the fun

pimp staff so I'm not making stuff up

here we didn't see all of this but I

think I don't know if I have all the

images for this yet or not but I'll try

to Cobble some stuff together for visual

aid for you anyway back to the Assassin

here so the Assassin hood is going to

give you plus 20% sneak damage the

Assassin outfit gives you plus 10% sneak

Effectiveness the Assassin gloves give

you plus 10% attack speed and

unfortunately I did not catch what the

Assassin boots will do for you but I

don't know maybe like making less sound

or something like that and you can see

here that there is an assassin full set

bonus you even get a marker in the lower

left corner so that you know that you're

getting that that full bonus not sure

what it is just yet though one thing

that they did mention during the stream

is that the bonus that you get from your

armor is going to depend on the quality

of the armor so if we go back to the

Assassin hood here the sneak damage plus

20% well maybe if that's a quality one

item that's going to be 10% but if you

get a quality 6 legendary assassin Hood

maybe that'll be plus 60% or more

however I do not yet know if the item

quality the armor quality influences the

full set bonus I just know that it does

the individual bonuses so they did pop

out into third person for a little bit

to show us the armors this is I don't

think this is going to be a supported

game mode but it is something that you

can do with developer commands and the

first thing you'll notice is that there

is jiggle tack so if you're riding on

the motorcycle your cape will be

flapping behind you in the wind and when

you move around and twist around certain

parts of your armor will move around as

well so for a second here they kind of

walked back and forth and you can just

see that the character animations are

much better much smoother everything's

looking fantastic I think they did a

great job on this and they got a couple

of great closeups of all of the um

stabbing implements or I don't know

throwing Wing knives I guess that this

guy has on his chest kind of like

jiggling around and it was at this time

that I noticed that there's this little

circular thing on top of the chili can

and when they did the Q&A at the end of

the stream they mentioned that this is

like a quick swap thing so it'll be like

Mouse button 4 Mouse button five and you

just press that and you ought no matter

what you have no matter what item you're

carrying it'll switch back to your quick

select item okay so let's do some

digging here in the creative menu again

snooping around for hidden icons that

they didn't want us to know about so

what we're looking at here uh is are the

pocket mods you see the single the

double the triple and now it looks like

we're going to get also a quadruple

Pocket Mod and this makes a lot of sense

because we're not going to have clothing

anymore clothing has been replaced by

armor so we're not going to have

clothing pocket mods so there needs to

be a way to compensate for that and

unlock all the spots in the backpack so

you're going to get quad mods and they

also said that there might be something

where you can put more than one Pocket

Mod onto your set of armor so you can

put like a two and a three onto your

armor and get a total of five slots

opened up in your backpack the other

thing I saw here is this green repair

kit and I'm not entirely sure what this

is yet let me know what your theories

are in the comments it could be a

vehicle specific repair kit since we're

getting some new vehicles it could be an

armor specific repair kit I don't know

anyway as he was putting on the Raider

armor I did catch a couple of glimpses

of what the bonuses are for the Raider

set this is heavy armor and so the

helmet is giving you stun resist the

outfit is giving you natural crit

healing the Raider gloves give you melee

weapon damage which is fantastic I like

the sounds of that and the Raider boots

give you plus six Safe Fall distance and

actually I did catch a glimpse here of

what the um assassin boots are doing for

you stealth Sprint

noise 100% it's pretty impressive so

here's what it looks like in the third

person they got an interesting license

plate just bolted onto the front of it

WTF 187 and can you spot the jiggle Tech

on this one yeah yeah that's it right

there the nut flap okay back to the

creative menu Deep dive uh there's this

one thing here that looks like a scope

lens and um I don't know what that is

but uh maybe it's a part of crafting

Scopes now or maybe it's some kind of a

weapon mod I'm not entirely sure let me

know what your theories are there's also

this interesting looking box right here

with like a gear on it and I I'd have no

idea what this is if you zoom in it

looks like it has um like an assault

rifle kind of crossed with a pickaxe so

my best guess is that it's some kind of

a tool part it's possible that this is

something used to craft legendary items

cuz if we look at the bottom here you

see all these purple boxes here well I

did get a couple of frames later on

hopefully I'll be able to show you this

of those boxes being called legendary

crafting bundles and so I think you'll

get a reward from the trailer sometimes

that has some special Parts in it that

allow you to craft quality six items so

let's look at the enforcer set of armor

next the enforcer glasses are going to

give you a bartering bonus enforcer

outfit gives you crit resist basically

that means less likely to get a broken

leg or sprained arm the enforcer gloves

give you a decreased fuel usage and the

enforcer shoes give you run speed so

this is your new College jacket so this

is one thing that they did touch on that

they are removing some of the clothing

items but you're going to get all of the

bonuses from clothing items like you

know for example dir glasses lucky

goggles College jacket all of your plus

one strength plus one perception you

know plus one intellect plus 10%

bartering plus 10% XP gain all of those

have just been integrated into the new

armors so so we're not losing anything

in fact we should be gaining a lot

because there are 16 different armor

sets and there are four different armor

pieces per set so that's 64 different

pieces of armor each with a bonus they

said that some one there at the Fun

pimps did the math and there were like

64,000 different combinations but I'm

pretty sure I did the math myself and I

got

1365 different possible combinations of

these 64 different armor pieces because

you can't wear helmets on your feet and

you can't wear gloves on your chest so I

think that that kind of Narrows down the

possibilities a little bit anyway here's

Danny tryo wearing the enforcer set

again I think this armor is pretty cool

man like definitely one of my early

favorites here in terms of appearance

alone and then we got this close-up face

shot here and it's really cool cuz if

you look closely the eyes kind of move

around a little bit on their own and

they were talking earlier in the Stream

about if there's another character

nearby or a zombie nearby or there's

some certain object nearby the the eyes

of the character will like will will go

toward that so I mean I don't know how

much we're going to notice that in the

game but sometimes little details like

that go a long way okay so unfortunately

we didn't get any more armor I was

hoping we'd see some of the other sets

there um I did want to mention that

there are three sets of armor that we've

seen in the past that are that were not

shown that have not been confirmed that

I don't think are coming to 1.0 one is

the hoarder set then there's the desert

set that which was got a lot of

attention back at the alpha 21 developer

live streams because it said that they

were coming soon Alpha 22 plus and then

the marauder set which they've teased

this a whole bunch I I don't know why

this one wouldn't be coming to 1.0 but

in the official road map and then also

during the live stream here they did

talk about future DLC

and and future armor unlocks and um I'm

kind of confused on on how this was all

going to work out because they did say

something about being able to unlock it

in the game to purchase it within the

game but then they also talked about

like free DLC and paid DLC so I'm not

sure where the armors are going to fall

in that whole thing we should find out

around probably quarter 4 this year

unless of course there are delays which

are common so don't hold your breath but

you know we'll find out sooner or later

okay yes now we're moving on to the new

animals so all of the animals have been

updated there are no new animals that I

know of but uh they did show us the the

male and female deer here they said that

there's a fur te basically they got up

very very close you could just barely

notice but you can see like fur hair

coming off of the animals we saw the

mountain lion in the Gameplay trailer

before and we've seen some pictures of

some of the other animals like the new

Grace and um there's some concept art of

the new direwolf as well along with all

the other animals in the background here

you can see the the new zombie bear but

nothing in game just yet and now moving

on to zombie variants so there are I

think three or four different variants

of every zombie at least the common

zombies like people like the soldier and

the demo and the cop are not going to

have variants but like the regular guys

and girls uh should have different

colored outfits and hair and skin tones

so that one there was Arlene this one

here is zombie Steve a few seconds

before this zombie Tom Clark wandered up

and was killed but you could see that he

had a new hairstyle new clothing here is

the new fat Hawaiian we've also seen

some other variations of the Hawaiian

where he's wearing a bowling outfit and

then when they had the spawn menu up I

did see that there was a zombie bowler

so there's a zombie bowler and there's a

zombie fat Hawaiian and I'm not sure if

they've talked before about this

particular zombie having some kind of an

acid or gas type of attack attack I'm

not sure if they plan on doing anything

with that now or in the distant future

but it's certainly possible especially

since they're separating them you know

one zombie is the bowler and this one's

the fat Hawaiian and then everybody's

favorite the party girl has a couple of

variations black white and red dresses

now ah what am I talking about this guy

here is everyone's favorite right don't

you love it when these guys show up yes

the new zombie Demolisher zombies

looking pretty cool lean actually did

set the button off to show us the

explosion and reportedly there are new

explosions and particle effects and

smoke effects and fire and everything we

didn't really see any of that but it was

pretty cool to see the new chunks here's

another handful of zombies here new

businessman new janitor dressed kind of

like a prisoner and then there's also

this new nurse here what they were doing

here by shooting these zombies is

showing off some new blood effects when

you shoot or you hit a zombie here we go

they opened up the creative menu again

and I got a single frame of this

legendary machete crafting bundle so

there's got to be some kind of a special

thing that you're going to get out of

this bundle that's going to allow you to

craft those and speaking of here's the

machete in action there's some new blood

effects coming out of the zombie here on

decapitation there's also dismemberment

in Gibbs or like you know body part

systems for all of the zombies now we we

had it for about half of the zombies

before where you could like chop a leg

or an arm off and you could see the arm

fall down the other half of the zombies

you would just chop their arm off and it

would just vaporize and be gone now

reportedly all zombies have full

dismemberment and you might have noticed

this by now but on the right side you

can see the tutorial challenge so

instead of the typical tutorial mission

where you spawn in and you punch grass

and you make a shirt and you make a club

and you make bow and arrows and a

campfire and then they send you to the

trader you basically you do the same

thing but there's just a different um a

different presentation for it I guess so

you have this challenge system there's

some written dialogue to help you

through for most of us who have played

the game before it's probably not going

to help us much but for new players I I

think this is great to have you have to

actually press a button here that says

redeem and when you press that button it

will give you some experience points and

once you unlock the basics of survival

it unlocks all of the rest so home

sitting advanced survival crafting

Trader quests harvesting Etc so this

particular map that they're on is Navas

gain and the reason I know that is

because there are these signs around

like this street sign and then over

there there's the Navas Gan National

Forest sign and this is this is navis

gain and as he turn turns around you can

see this really cool looking Bridge so

they've definitely done some work some

tuning to Nava G I think they're getting

ready to implement the full story mode

which I think will take place in Nava's

gain but this was really the only little

taste of it that we got okay so I know

we're kind of all over the place I can't

help it but here are some wooden storage

crates now you can actually write on

this uh laan labeled his lean hardware

and then you can upgrade it so with some

forged iron it upgrades to an iron chest

chest and it increases the capacity and

with some steel you can upgrade it to a

steel chest which again increases the

storage capacity I think this is great

these things look awesome it reminds me

of Undead Legacy mod if you've ever

played that and they did talk briefly

about some new plants well not new okay

they're they're just new models for the

plants like here's the cotton plant

right here and then they also recently

teased a new hop plant these are the

biggest hops I've ever seen I thought

this was like an artichoke plant because

they're so big but no we're not getting

any new fruits vegetables or any type of

a farming item but a few of them are

getting updated like the Hops the I

think they said pumpkins and uh the

coffee coffee was the last one that they

mentioned there may be more and that was

essentially it so that was that was two

hours of live stream condensed down into

a couple minutes for you here they did

touch on a whole bunch of other things

among them was random World Generation

and some of the new pois new tier fives

they're going to get into that in the

next live stream so I'll kind of put

that off until they have more

information they also did tease a little

bit about some new voiceover acting

lines that they've added to the game and

the only people that talk in the game

are the Traders and they kind of alluded

to this without saying it overtly so it

looks like we're going to get new Traer

dialog I'm not sure if they're using the

same voice actors or if they've hired

new voice actors but they said that they

have hundreds if not maybe thousands of

lines of dialogue that are going in to

help kind of tell this story and drive

this narrative for the story which

should be coming sometime in the future

not for 1.0 anyway my friends that's

gonna have to do it for this one I hope
