other language there is for me it was

someone who is not yet fluent so you can

really look forward to I wrote down some

notes and I'm going to now share it with

you guys first one honestly kind of the

most shocking one but um the one that I

keep being surprised about is that if

you want to speak a language you want to

learn how to speak a

language then you should speak it I know

crazy right because uh from what I've

seen a lot of people they're learning

the language and they're writing down

all the notes and they're like learning

all the how to do it and um all the

grammars and everything and like 5 years

later they still can't speak it why well

because they haven't been speaking it I

know kind of crazy most people people

learn everything else besides the thing

that they actually need to be learning

So speaking is one of the for most

people one of the hardest things because

it um you need confidence to fail but it

is also the fastest way so if you life

is short so if you want to learn a

language go talk speak fail learn and

you're going to you're going to do

amazing next one so this is kind of

connects with the the one don't be

afraid to fail when learning a language

or honestly with everything else in life

you can't lose really you can only win

or learn but that's a mindset shift you

know so if you make a mistake then think

of it as learning points because you

cannot be perfect from the start it

doesn't make any sense what I give as a

good example always is that if somebody

speaks your uh your Lang language uh

that you were born with that you speak

so for example for me it's Estonian and

somebody comes up to me and tells

something not perfectly but I can see

that they're learning and they're trying

and they're saying literally anything at

all I'm never going to judge them you

know and probably you aren't either if

you're Korean or English anybody speaks

something and they make a mistake I make

a lot of mistakes in English and in

Korean all the time but people don't

usually point out the mistakes because

I'm still doing it I'm speaking a

foreign language which in general is

a so basically if you think of that as

like the other person's perspective

you're always going to be more hard on

yourself than the other people are going

to be if you realize that then it's

going to be a lot easier for you to

speak other people speak with other

people because you're going to realize

that nobody actually gave some pH so the

other one is kind of take lessons or

speak with someone who knows the

language so there are so many other ways

to learn a language there are so many

apps I used I think I used hello talk

you can like talk with people in there

and I used the app where you can talk

with like strangers I use like good

night and connecting basically they

don't know you you don't know them and

you can just press like I don't want to

talk with you anymore and done deal

getting to do it is hard but once you

get the the you know what I'm saying

then it's it's going to be easier so it

just takes time but I recommend that and

uh and if you don't want to do it in a

kind of fun way and you want to actually

take lessons then I mean obviously you

can search around your area if there are

any teachers because it's always better

to kind of do it in person but there are

a lot of apps and websites where you can

take lessons for example okay guys some

of you might know that I am also

learning Russian right now uh because I

have learned it in my school for 6 years

so I thought I'm going to make use of it

because my Russian is getting not great

teachers there are a lot of different

price ranges so you don't have to worry

about it being way too expensive and

also if anybody is learning Korean then

sometimes I have been giving Korean

lessons right now for 2 and 1 half years

almost so if you're interested then you

learn Korean or or English whatever you

need anyway next one I truly believe

that consistency over quantity yes

that's how you say it even if you do

every day five new words or five minutes

going to be a lot better than you trying

to just push yourself to learn in one

one day probably nobody's going to do

month obviously it's possible it's

possible everything is possible but I

truly recommend the consist part because

if you let your mind kind of you learn a

five minutes and then you sleep for

example then your mind kind of gets to

connect all the DTs and it does the work

for you so you can remember the language

better and if you just do 10 15 minutes

a day or a month you're going to be

surprised you are going to be surprised

I promise you and uh the last point

before I ask my sister some questions is

that find out how you learn the language

the best because for some people it

might be writing down the words or the

text for some people it might be

listening so movies and music and for

some people it might be reading that

really helps them understand the

language so you really get to try all

the different ways to realize what suits

you the best so for example for me it's

listening so from b i a lot of movies a

lot of Dramas a lot of music a lot of

around me you know that helped me a lot

I can't really learn with reading or

writing I've tried it I'm learning

Russian right now I've tried it doesn't

work with me so why do something that

doesn't work just try what works for you

use that so yeah this is what I

recommend the most and now let's do an

interview with my little sister and ask

also her for tips and how she learned

Korean because this is really

are you learning Korean because like I'm

did you start learning Korea when I was

difference between like the six years

that you started learning before me but

think what's the what makes the

difference you came here to be a

transfer student you put yourself out

find something that suits you like the
