season 4 finale I thought i' do a little

disclaimer talking about the video now

as many of you know we get early access

to these episodes and we wrote and

filmed the video you're about to watch

been a massive thing that happened at

the weekend involving an assassination

attempt against Donald Trump um and we

did go back and forth over whether we

should redo part of the video to talk

about that in real life but in the end I

kind of settled on leaving it as we made

it originally instead of trying to

second guess how certain things I said

may come across this is Du avoid either

sounding impersonal or putting a foot

wrong on what's a pretty serious topic I

do want this channel to basically be a

place where people can take a break from

all the negative things in the world and

just geek out other stuff they enjoy but

when things like this happen that can

obviously be difficult I hope people see

this as a channel where we can agree and

disagree on things but still have a

respect respectful conversation that

doesn't come from a place of hate

obviously I don't condone stuff like

this and I do think it's important to

condemn this stuff no matter what side

of the political Spectrum you fall on

lots of unanswered questions and things

is left in the air whether it's where a

train or Edgar are Ashley's

not being in the show or what happened

to the Guardians of gulin there's a lot

to talk about so come with me as we

break down the episode and talk about

all the Easter eggs in it we'll also be

going over what happens in the comics as

there are a lot of things that could be

happening in the future without the way

here is a superhero

now the episode's titled assassination

run and it centers around saving Dakota

Bob however due to comments he makes

about Victoria the country gets thrown

into chaos thus martial law is put into

effect with the soups now getting

unrivaled power democracy is dead and

Homeland is now in control the episode

predominantly takes place on January 6th

which was teased to us last week at the

21 minute50 Mark we saw them going

through the Assassins file and had a

paper with the date on it it was also

mentioned by the cast and crew with it

all building towards this no prizes for

guessing what real life thing it applies

to and we begin the episode with vnn

today a clear parody of Good Morning

America we hear the top stories of the

day now after a train ended up being

exposed as the mole the companies now

decided to cancel the training a train

movie even though they finished it

they've realized they'll make more money

as a tax right off we just realized we'd

make more from the right off now you

might remember something similar

happened with the backgirl movie and

this is a clear jab to Warner Brothers

heard they were sending shots at Warner

Brothers and the worst thing is they

didn't even warn a brother

and has been under V's influence since

season 1 there Doppel ganger disguised

their super initiative there it was just

trying to get them in the Army R here

they now have control of the police so

it's further building off that and the

only thing the boys can do is work on

the virus pulling it from Kimo's severed

leg we see her cleaning the beesy bee

that Frenchie gave her last week they

have to get stuff done because One S is

sworn in they just one head pop away

from a dead press this is given an odd

to an mm's t-shirt as he's wearing one

for the hip group dead press the more

you know with huie and The Shape Shifter

we see she messes further with his mind

by proposing this gets him to do it too

and it robs huie of what should have

been a special moment with Annie looking

at the ring she sees her fingers

starting to rot and thus has to go back

to her this ring was given to huy by his

mother but but now the entire reasoning

behind it's over now I feel because of

this that it debunks one of our big few

times we did say right that well I said

that we thought Daphne might have been

The Shape Shifter all along and that

this was done to get close to Huey

however she obviously dies in this

episode and though we don't see anything

with Daphne it's likely because they

didn't have time to include her I do

think it's a bit weird the last time we

saw her was in the maiden Manhattan

scene but even if the shape shifter was

her it would mean she'd have to be alive

somewhere for her to not keep rotting so

that theory times debunked and over with

buter we See's been hospitalized after

his fall last week Lads was for Weare

with them graying up t orin's beard and

hair and making his skin look paler

offer to deal with the devil kesla says

he'll juice him up just to give him

enough energy to take down all his soups

he explains that he was the one who

helped him kill Ezekiel and kesla might

be a personification of the parasite

this pops out of butcher later on in the

episode with it being Ain to the whips

and tentacles that the Symbiotes have in

Marvel now this is strong enough to tear

a soup apart with Victoria getting the

same fate as Ezekiel I feel like hesla

is actually just the Comic version of

buter in full force and that highlights

his fate we'll get into that later on

but who I want to talk about first is

mallerie in what's a reflection of the

end of season 2 she's agreed to take

Ryan once more into care in the end

though he kills her and it was a big

twist I wasn't expecting not a big twist

like her neck mate you know what I mean

now it shows that Ryan's kind of loss

and to me it's the move that pushes

Billy off the deep end the season

started with Ryan killing someone and he

was completely torn up about it now

sadly he's more like his dad in that he

views people as things things that just

get in the way of what he wants now

speaking of Homeland we C to him opening

up let's say his chest of Collectibles

the picture of storm FR is there black

noir's sword and melin's breast milk jar

you might notice that the jar of gray

hair that's now way Fuller than it was

earlier in the season with him tipping

some of them out finding the Christmas

present butcher sent Ryan in the end he

just trashes his room it's an immature

way to deal with things and he's Once

More Shot looking through a hole this

ties back to earlier at the lab when he

laser that guy's dick on off these were

both moments of anger at the past and

people he was desperate to get

acceptance from as we know homelanders

had psychological conditioning that made

him dependent on the approval of others

Ryan's rejection here is what's sending

him more and more insane and it all

boils down to the fact that he never had

parents like he had parents but people

that loved and cared for him you know

what I'm saying now he's tried to be a

father but failed at that as well and th

he feels like a failure in everything he

does the most powerful man on the planet

has no power over those he loves and

Ryan doesn't even listen to his orders

and monuments of America burning around

him this highlights what he's going to

do to the country with it all stemming

especially carries a lot of symbolism to

it and it's such a good way to

foreshadow the feature in the center of

this Burning Monument of the country

also stands Ry in Homeland a actually

thought that the pair were about to

throw down but he panics after TV Falls

still though it does to me at least

highlight the battle for America will be

something that's decided with these two

cutting over to Annie we see she's been

having a play on lunchy balls with he's

been black and wild lean lad diet

lunches there's also the chance to win a

course a play on Disneyland we learn

that there's a big class action lawsuit

against them though because the snacks

Annie is wearing a firecracker t-shirt

showing how The Shape Shifter taunts her

victims she also tells her about the

proposal the sex after it and how she

used the story of her grandparents when

doing it pretty brutal mate um and it

reminds me of like when people watch

Eight Episodes of breakdown to the boy

season 4 and don't hit the thumbs up

really really hurts her now when she

crouches down you might also notice that

she's wearing starlighter sneakers at

this point we also learn that the shape

shifter absorbs memories and this makes

her adapt at mimicking her targets now

we guessed last week that she deleted

all the info on Newman off the laptop

but I was a bit unsure on how she got

the safe code just didn't mention it cuz

it would make the theory fall apart um

but obviously taking memories gave her

this information so we got a theory

right I guess however about in doing all

this memory absorption it's come with a

cost absorbing everyone else's memories

is shoved out her own and she now no

longer even remembers what she looks

like now this power developed during

preschool when she absorbed her teachers

memories having this big info dump at

such a young age has clearly messed her

up and turned her into a psychopath

sociopath sorry so sociopath this is

defined as someone who has no regard for

right and wrong and ignores the feelings

of others she says that everyone feels

Justified when they do something wrong

and that everyone she's mimicked does

the same thing everyone is the hero of

Their Own Story and she berates Annie

for how she's blamed everyone else she

says Annie wasn't even the first choice

and I do wonder if huie was the original

plan I am still unsure though about how

her powers work though and we we've only

ever seen the transformation into women

even her First Transformation was a

woman with the teacher but yeah it was a

guy who picked up the folder from Sage

either way though that Slice on the hand

of huie did make me think they go with

him and she definitely have enough DNA

to mimic him cuz you know what she's

been up to 20 times in 10 days

apparently bloody luy guy anyway

taunting Starlight for losing her powers

these end up coming back in the end it's

weird that when she became Starlight

once more these disappeared and it's

only once she focused on being Annie

that they fully fell back into place

jumping back to the hospital we see huie

calling buter and we learn he's been

blanking his calls it's sort of a flip

on the scenario as the season started by

huy ghosting his dad's calls his dad

ended up dead in the hospital and thus

you can see why Hue is making up for the

mistakes of the past a buty tells him

about this Steakhouse he'd heard about

Nevada he told Lenny that the birds got

their BS out when they brought you a

steak Bute talks about how they were

going to go there someday but they never

got the chance to however I feel like

this is actually foreshadowing something

that's going to come down the line I

believe this is where Butch is driving

to at the end and later on we'll talk

about how I think it lines up with the

comics does spoil the ending of the book

though but I believe they're setting it

up here go

there for me and men would you he says

he'll go to the top of the steakhouse

and it would make sense to catch the

character here either way we could over

at a truth bomb and start to see

firecracker coughing as she gets slowly

more and more sick throughout the

episode I wonder right if she's going to

end up dead because of this and they

kind of leave her sickness up in the end

either way Homeland out was ready to

toss her to the side before she unveiled

her special gifts now that though I

think she's going to be put in a

position where she realizes what he

really views her as though she's been

loyal always subscribed and willing to

do anything he makes her move away from

him when she's coughing he isn't willing

to comfort her at all and it shows how

little he cares we know the medication

she's on enlarges the heart and it's

putting her severely at risk however

even though she's sick he wants her to

keep taking it and we've seen how he

uses the women around him for what he

wants this is exemplified in Victoria

who he outs on the show this is Ain to

when out at Ma sexuality and both were

people he he completely blindsided guy

hasn't even thought things through and

it shows how off the leash she is he

even lays his hair and triggers her eyes

and I think the acting here by Claudia

is incredible she's kind of just forcing

a smile and trying to look professional

but yeah you can see the shot going

through her head homelander sees it

being the first Super abled President

but she says she'll be impeached and

will have to be reelected in 4 years

however he says there's new rules and

it's clear he wants to create a

dictatorship without democracy in doing

this though he'll have to arrest people

in their Millions which is where the

internment camps come in now Calhoun

still C defies the election but rights

are breaking out across the country to

make things worse the laptops wiped and

a billy Jo Billy Joel phone caseate you

know he loves Billy Joel cutting to

singer we then see he's called a new

election and denies knowing Newman was

the soup however he's well aware and he

says that if he gets in it'll be over

his dead body because he'll have been

assassinated very good defense plan that

knowing the Comics it was Vic the V who

killed the president with Victoria being

a gender swap unleashing a wild

Wolverine he then assumed the mantle and

gave V several government contracts how

about they're going in a vastly

different direction with her dying while

scene with mallerie knowing what happens

homelander is now going to apply this to

turned into a conspiracy Council on

something like Game of Thrones rushing

what happens with her becomes a big

mystery with us not getting an answer to

the transformation however we do know

she survives because her body's nowhere

to be seen and we return here later on

this thing with Ashley it all kind of

builds off a line from last week when

she said it's it's so easy to become a

monster around

here now this is a far cry from what

happens in the comics as their her

counterpart gets blamed for vs misdeeds

set up by Edgar and used as a py she

ended up tearing her hair out when

things fell apart however here it's

completely left field and for that I

have a left field Theory not going to do

Theory time though so I actually think

the way they've changed the characters

round might highlight what they could do

with her in the book mother's milk was

called mother's milk because his mother

ended up feeding him with her breast

milk which was laced with compound V she

turned into a gigantic monster and was

hidden in Shadows during the comics it

was mysterious everyone who got close

enough to her got grabbed though and

then force-fed milk now the milk thing

got shifted over the homeland's

obsession with mother's milk not having

a twisted mother however I think that

Ashley might end up becoming the monster

and this is how she'll satiate

homelander with hu's Dad we saw how

powers are somewhat manifestations of

people's fears and their psyche so

having her become something to help

homelander stay loyal to her might be a

defense mechanism it's a theory a

probably won't come true don't revisit

this video in 2 years or whatever H but

whatever happens yeah we're going to see

in season 5 or gen V season 2 CU they

might use season 2 as a way to to fill

in the blanks much like how the first

season was used to set up the virus it's

good it's good how they do that either

was of course adapted into the show

arrives to save the day beating the

shifter without resorting to her powers

she's finally accepted that she might

not be the hero now we could to Victoria

panicking and ringing homelander and get

what's probably the most most unhinged R

by him and Victoria if you stray even an

inch of that path I will make sure Zoe

knows nothing but pain for the rest of

her life and I will send you a piece of

her every year for theing rest of yours

there is no

fail to make things worse for Victoria

as well frie sorted the disease out and

he goes off on huie but like you can't

blame him mate he he didn't know it

worked on the virus what's happened with

Samir we don't really know but I feel

like he's probably out there with edar

Edgar was saved by Vicki earlier in the

season but we don't know what's

happening with the characters however he

and Samia know each other and it makes

sense that Vicki would hide them out

together with her out the picture and zo

at Red River I think the pair will work

together this save their daughter SLG

granddaughter not Edgar's real daughter

but you know what I mean now I feel like

Samir and Edgar will manufacture the

virus again in order to get revenge on

homelander it's the only thing they know

that can take him down and that's how I

feel like things are going to go Zoe

going to Red River is also the worst

nightmare for Victoria as we learn

that's where she was raised during genv

she told Marie she'd been sponsoring her

because the pair had grown up in similar

circumstances Vicki said she was doing

it also her daughter wouldn't end up

there and in the end the shows all her

work has just cursed her daughter to end

up there now we could across to the

seven Tower and see how worse for where

firecracker is running along in coughing

she has to bust out a gun to take

someone down deep smashes the rider's

head like the like button with him

making him say he respects him before

killing him that's all deep really cares

about and it's the characters ailles

heel he enjoys killing and now does Noir

who's slipping more into character we

learn that the pair weren't invited to

Tech Knight's Party because they weren't

deemed as being needed it's cuz they're

stupid well deep is and Noir doesn't

talk there though deep told the new Noir

that the last one used to get turn on

when killing and finally this one does

too he's made it he's finally fit the

role perfect casting and also like also

like rest in peace Ashley too I miss

you now though everyone else like Ashley

the new Noir they're all becoming

monsters and who doesn't want that to

happen is Huey if we're ever going to

win against Monsters I think we need to

start acting human this is a flip on the

phrase on having to become a monster in

order to fight them and it is something

that they've featured in the show before

butcher now though he's in opposite to

this mind State and it's a nice way to

set up his entrance later on in between

that though Kimo finally confesses her

feelings and she and Frenchie kiss

they've been on a journey apart from

each other this season but have always

ended up coming back together this was

probably the happiest moment in what's

been a pretty diap finale emotionally

and yeah it was nice to see the pair

getting their moment of Happiness before

it was ripped away cuzz you don't

deserve happiness in this world it seems

now back with but and Ryan we see grace

telling him that homelander ordered the

H and singer we do see him kind of being

a bit creepy as he uses his superheroing

to listen to Grace Whispering Grace

though she lays it all out including how

homelander was behind the flight and

also how Ryan was conceived buter then

finally admits they need Ryan to kill

homelander but I do think in the end

they'll use the virus Ryan doing this

will put him on a dark path and I feel

like buter will have to do it in the end

this will be the way to truly Save Ryan

and it'll mean he's taken away from the

influence of his father however he won't

have to become a monster in order to do

it in the end though Grace threatens to

steal them in and flood the room with

gas but Ryan pushes her out the way was

just a little push mate but uh finally

butcher sees that maybe Kesler was right

and he arrives mid meat finally killing

Victoria now I was a bit like I don't

know I think buter having this big worm

thing it's going to be something I'm

going to need to get used to CU in my

head I sort of still view him as how he

is in the comics that he had the powers

of V but all the boys had been injected

with it here the v24 is mutated in him

and this is clearly what's keeping him

alive he's now bulletproof and extremely

powerful making him likely to become a

season five villain again we'll talk

about this later on but there's lots of

things there setting up anyway with

Vicky gone we cut to homelander in his

room watching the report of her death

holding Ryan's bag this will now likely

get added to his comfort box Sage then

comes in revealing that things have

actually went according to plan and

singer has now been ousted she's someone

who's here to once more serve homelander

and this whole thing goes down at the

exact same spot firecracker revealed her

allegiance to him at spray still gets to

be a burst out laughing when I see that

and every time I see it gets it's just

as funny a Vicki's death is blamed on

the boys with them being classified as

deep State starlighter this can easily

be verified as well as her bodyguard was

the witness to her being killed Calhoun

is now in charge of the country as the

president but he's also serving

homelander Sage then leaves and she

announces phase two and yeah I'm very

excited to see where this all goes

Homeland has been given basically full

control and in the end he wants to hunt

down the boys it's sort of akin to the

speech at the end of season 2 and I

thought that we were going to end there

with them on the Run however we actually

see the boys fleeing doesn't last too

long and to a montage crap hits the fan

mother's milk is taken down by love

sausage which yeah guy just can't catch

a break with him season two he had his

run-ins with his dick and herogasm was a

similar sort of thing there's definitely

the idea that there's no escaping board

as we see that goes throughout the

bathroom on the dryer and the sub

dispenser Kate uses her powers to get

Frenchie to get in the van and Kimo

finally speaks out after getting beat by

Sam it's a great way to take the

character as this season centered a lot

around her being a mute it helps to

highlight how devastating this is and

yeah what a gut punch of an ending the

only person who manages to escape is

staright and she flees before Cindy can

get her Cindy of course comes from

season 2 and what happened to her was a

big thing hanging over the series what's

likely happened though is A's now

working for vard as Homeland has been

happy to recruit the undesirables love

sausage was at Sage Grove as well and we

see how these have been brought into the

ranks Simon K2 they were bad people but

homelanders saw a use for them and thus

they were drafted in we then close out

with butcher driving in his car and

Kesler sat in the back seat looking in

the mirror this is akin to the stand in

which Randall flag did something similar

his move in the work Unleashed a virus

that wiped out most of humanity with

this reflecting what butcher plans to do

after some little credits we learned

Calhoun found out about soja boy and we

catch him sedated in his winter soldier

tank looking down on him Daddy's home

and yeah what a big tease for season 5

now how their relationship's going to be

I'm not 100% as they didn't exactly

leave things on the best terms I do feel

like soldja boy may end up caring for

Ryan but yeah he's not exactly the best

role model either also I can't wait to

see what happens when Kate sees him cuz

they had that big scene with him and

geny in her mind which was very crazy

still though we now have several

character characters on board who can

kill homelander I also feel like a train

staright Ashley and even Ma they're all

people out there who could unite and

come together for season five I feel

like the boys might be locked up with

the Guardians from gen V and that season

2 might even have them working together

starlight's obviously going to be

desperately looking for Huey and if she

teams up with the other soups there'll

be a massive help Ashley obviously knows

the ins and outs of the company and is

probably aware of where the genv crew

are I do wonder if genv sees in two will

be about them taking down Sam and Cade

and then that could lead into the main

season I feel like Edgar and Samir might

join them too as we got a big actor for

the ladder that they didn't utilize

massively yet so I think he'll play a

bigger role in season 5 for the next

part of the video I am going to be

spoiling the comics so if you don't want

White House with bought unleashing black

noir on him turns out he was a clone of

homelander who'd been cred to take him

down in case the character went rogue

and this led us into the final Arc in

which butcher was the main villain he

killed all of the boys except for huge

and then went to the top of the Empire

States Building planning to unleash a

radio signal that triggered the V within

a soups this had a reaction that would

cause their heads to explode I think the

virus is obviously aked the disease and

they can easily turn butcher into a

villain now in the comics huy went up

there and managed to stop him before he

went too far in his dying breath he

thanked huie and was grateful the

character stopped him from committing

genocide huie is someone who'd been his

Canary and stopped him from being his

worst self this is something they

brought up in the show too when they

discussed Lenny so I think something

similar is going to happen but butcher

is going to have to fight off Kesler in

his mind and the tentacles inside of him

I feel like they're going to shoot out

like in my head I'm viewing it like the

tentacles shoot out they wrap around

Huey and then butcher will have to fight

and overcome them you know you know

those sorts of scenes now as we

mentioned before I think this will be

all going down at that Nevada Steakhouse

which I feel like butcher is driving

towards the Empire State Building is

going to be a hard place to get in film

at Mat yeah something like that makes

more sense budget wise even the seven

Tower would work though but I feel like

that story was brought up for a reason

this is where Billy wanted to go with

Lenny and hu is of course a standing for

him so I think this will bring things

full circle from the story and of course
