Transcripts
let's talk all about supplements I get
questions on this all the time in fact
one lady had an influencer tagged me
recently of hey if you want to know all
about supplements check out the
supplement doctor Dr Livington so I
guess unofficially that's what's going
on but I get a lot of questions from you
I'm staring at about 20 of them right
now what vitamins do I take when I'm
fasting what can I replace Ibuprofen
with and nids that we might be you know
pounding down each day what do I do for
you know pain what can I be doing for if
I have a horrible diet how can I at
least make up some nutrient side of
things thyroid Health what if I have XYZ
condition what do I take I'm going to
take my top how many I have here 24
questions just recently that I got right
from you guys and break them down you
can also ask more in your questions or
I'm live every Wednesday at 8:30 to
answer them let's go diving right in
should I take vitamins while I'm fasting
absolutely would wouldn't change a thing
I take mine in my morning I have a
regimen and I take them in the evening
whether I'm fasting or not I know with
some of you with medications and things
like that you need to take you food work
with your pharmacist on that but most of
these don't need to be taken with food B
vitamins might make you a little bit
nauseous just heads up on that one but
absolutely take them all fasting next
what's the most important nutrient or
where should I start where do I begin
with all the supplements okay here's my
top five top five to make the biggest
bang for your buck biggest impact on
your health here's what they are and why
number one vitamin D plus the immune
complex so the vitamin D complex is a
compilation of highd do vitamin D the
other fat soluble vitamins AE and K2
which are extremely important in so many
areas of Health it also includes
magnesium it also includes zinc and it
includes probiotics and there's fat in
there so you can get the fat soluble
vitamins absorbed this is a monster when
it comes to your immune Health pretty
big Focus for us over the last couple of
years number two is Omega plus turmeric
we've got to address inflammation we
create so much of it in our world with
what we eat how we stress and the
chemicals we take in we've got to have
something to combat it Omega-3s and
tumor are two of the most well-known
researched herbs and nutrients to help
an normal inflammatory response number
three collagen plus multi you're getting
a healthy form of protein protein and
amino acids on a daily basis to build
your muscles build your tissues protect
your hair skin and Nails as well as a
multivitamin allinone so I take that on
a daily basis it's getting my malti in
it's getting my clean protein in next
electrolytes potassium magnesium salt
chloride very important to be putting
into your system to top up the
electrolytes which are involved in so
many different chemical actions in your
system most people are very deficient on
those most people are very dehydrated
get electrolytes into the system very
regularly we're lacking good quality
salt so I'm make mine out of real sea
salt and then you know optimal levels
some of them have like organic dried
coconut water in them or some of them
have extra bonuses like vitamin C's and
immune boosters so you can check those
out the fifth one I would do is greens
powder we simply don't eat enough fruits
and vegetables to make up for that for
ourselves and for our picky kids we make
sure and put these greens in you can
sneak them into smoothies or into Foods
50 different fruits and vegetables
involved in my Greens Plus superfoods so
that's my top five those are the five I
go almost every single day happy just
recently I've added in magnesium cuz
we're so deficient on it I found myself
even being deficient seven forms of
magnesium in one if I'm trying to lose
weight I do my apple cider vinegar and I
also have the living good daily Coffee
Plus Moringa to help fight antioxid you
know oxidation happening with free
radical damage in the body so there you
go number three which something should I
take to replace ibuprofen I never tell
you to replace a medication however
there were studies done on fish oil and
if you take a high enough dose it it had
the same effect on pain for people as an
nid like ibuprofen so my omegas plus
tumeric would be a great start there
what can you do proactively to support a
normal inflammatory response I really
like omegas and tumc my daughters in
their 20s are in their 20s they have
horrible diets what supplements should
they start taking I would get the greens
right get some nutrients into them you
might consider the vitamin D or the mega
Plus tumer or they collagen plus multi
as well any of those are great choices
to start getting nutrients into the body
can blood pressure support be taken even
if on a medication yes always talk to
your pharmacist before adding anything
or your doctor but yeah the blood
pressure support is helping support
healthy blood pressure level with things
like Hawthorne things like potassium
with things like pomegranate these are
good foods in a powdered form that have
been shown to support normal and healthy
blood pressure levels if you take a
thyroid medicine in the morning what
time do you take the vitamins or the
supplements they can be taken at the
same time again ask your pharmacist for
it supporting and taking your vitamins
or your nutrients 2 hours before or
after is always also an easy way to go
about it as well Knack versus El
glutamine two very different things
there um I think what you're trying to
ask is NAC versus cysteine okay NAC vers
verus cysteine an acetal cysteine versus
just straight up cysteine the amino
acids I think that's what the question
question was trying to frame cysteine is
the parent of knack so by taking
cysteines found in collagen it's a
building block of glutathione which is
the street sweeper of your body which
helps to detoxify you that's why Knack
works so well
nyine is a child of it a version of it
you can take that as well um those are
found in my detox supplements and my
liver supporting supplements I like
using both of them I really like cistin
though since it's the parent and you get
it with that c so I'm taking it
regularly L glutamine just as a side
note is very good for restoring the
mucosal lining of the gut it's in my GI
support it's also in collagen it's a
great amino acid that's needed at what
point do you need to consider taking
something to manage rising blood
pressure I've been taking Hawthorne
Berry with some success I like Haw I
like pomegranate I like garlic I like
beetroot those are all in my blood
pressure support these are great foods
you can eat you have to work with your
doctor to know your normal levels but
your age does matter if you're above the
age of 60 there's pretty good research
that shows 150 or over 90 might be more
of a normal range that'd be something
you want to talk to your doctor about
you can check out my blood pressure
playlist below though how do you know
when you are taking too many supplements
can you overdose you can overdose on
water literally people have drowned this
year by drinking too much water so you
can overdose on anything okay now I
think we should be way more concerned
with all the chemicals bad foods and
drugs in the world but overdoing
supplements consolidating them is
important that's why I like my collagen
plus my multi altogether my Omega plus
my tumor all together my Greens Plus 50
superfoods all together my electrolytes
plus energized which is vitamin C and
immune supporters and heart supporters
and focus enhancers so a lot of my
supplements I try to combine together
with them but you can always cycle off
and then slowly add the supplements back
in like stop all of them and slowly add
them back in there's nothing wrong with
that throughout the year I'll add in a
multi I'll add in B vitamins I'll add in
magnesium and then I'll subtract some
and I it kind of es and flows depending
on season allergies immune Health summer
what I'm eating ACV oving you can use
these as tools but nothing replaces
healthy eating healthy nutrition and
healthy lifestyle choices I take your
multivitamins vitamin D and Omega I have
early stage osteoporosis I do receive
HRT if I take bone health would be too
much no the bone health is designed to
be taken with the vitamin D it's got
some great cissus quadrangularis Wing
treebine known bone supporters to help
stimulate healthy bone production and
prevent bone loss and so the bone
support comes with a guide to help you
have a life style that is very bone
friendly as well on the hormone supports
I want to go off my anti-depressant you
think it's a good idea I can't comment
on any of those you have to talk with
your doctor that put you on that
medication I will never tell you to come
off medication or alter it cuz I didn't
give it to you I think there's a lot of
things you can do to support your mood
including breathing including exercise
including better eating you can check
out the mood support to help low moods
and mood swings with it so you're on the
right track but focus on lifestyle and
then work with your doctor on the
specific Med can you take too much
calcium if you are pre- osteoporosis
absolutely I don't recommend going above
600 Mig it starts to calcify the
arteries above that point and it is very
important to take D3 and K2 with any
form of calcium supplementation I'm not
very big on overdoing calcium i' rather
get it from foods like broccoli you can
check out my broccoli video for a good
next step on how amazing it is but it's
a good source of calcium so I think you
should eat your calcium and then focus
on D3 and K2 to make sure that the
calcium actually gets to the bones where
it's supposed to go I want to stop a
Statin what kind of supplement should I
take I would never recommend you stop a
Statin to help healthy support levels of
cholesterol you can check out my
cholesterol support good Lifestyle
Changes in my book in our challenges but
work with your doctor on the actual
treatment of that condition wood omegas
and tumor it could cause stomach issues
like a diarrhea if you have a
sensitivity to a fish then you might if
you have a sensitivity to a nut because
it has macadamia nut in it it could if
you have a sensitivity to turmeric which
some people do can you take too much
tumor yes but you don't need to right
you want to get it absorbed so it's not
how much you take it's how much you
absorb so a lot of people take a gram or
two grams and they take black pepper to
try to irritate their stomach to get it
to absorbed just use an emulsified
version you have 200 Mig of tumeric it's
not a high dose but it's a msif you'll
absorb nearly 40 times more of the
turmeric by going that route than you
will is just taking regular turmeric in
the other methods so that's what ours is
in the Omega plus tumeric do I take the
micr cleanse before the detox
supplements I can take those both at the
same time microb is addressing candida
and parasites and imbalances and
microbiome detox is addressing chemicals
that might build up in the system to
help support healthy detoxification when
doing the detox and microc cleanse you
stop all the other supplements nope I
continue to take mine cuz you want to
support the liver so it can do its job
properly thyroid support take at the
same time or separate timing you can
take at the same time you could always
ask your pharmacist though and are you
supposed to suspend supplements when you
take the detox nope keep taking those
because often times the B vitamins and
these amino acids and fat salable
vitamins they're all supporting the
liver to actually do proper
detoxification will the omegas and the B
vitamin help my thyroid meds are not
working so keep working with your doctor
on that the thyroid support has
supporting nutrients in it to help
normal thyroid levels I do like extra B
vitamins in that case I think it's a
good idea and then you'll want to pair
that with good healthy lifestyle
autoimmune anti-inflammatory approach
cuz a lot of times thyroid issues 80% of
the time are tied in to gut health so
you want to improve your gut health four
time open heart surgery patient and a
lot of medications and just overall
dealing with a lot of health issues and
energy problems I would start with my
electroly plus energize that's going to
help provide you with normal
electrolytes and some great electrical
heart supporters like d ribos torine and
carnitin so I would check that one out
and then you'll want to get into to my
heart healthy trainings so I have
trainings on here for blood pressure and
heart health check those out check out
those playlists and those trainings
below my son's continuous allergies to
mold and other things I'm using the
vitamin D and the allergens support what
are we missing vitamin D is a great
start to boost immune system the
allergen support helps a normal
antihistamine response and then what are
we missing from that perspective is
detoxing the entire system and getting
it reset so we want to look at cleansing
out the liver doing some detoxification
maybe my liver protocol to help flush
that out and I was experiment with
nutrition so you want to go maybe either
a fodmaps or an anti-inflammatory way of
eating cut out a lot of the allergens
and then slowly add Foods back in our
basic Advanced gut reset protocols help
walk through how to do that and number
24 does mood support affect thyroid
medications you can always check with
your pharmacist to see if there's any
interactions going on there I don't know
what you'd be taking but usually not you
can always take it two hours before or
after if you're concerned tons of
questions how to take them when to take
them what to do trying to make
supplements more simple for you
nothing replaces healthy lifestyle
choices Healthy nutrition take that next
step and do those check out the book
below so you can learn more about this
and if you need some more help on what
do we do with these supplements Where Do
We Begin how do we get started on it
check out the ones that I would not take
if over the age of 50 trimming some of
those out very important check out this
video next
