E se non sapete di cosa sto parlando…  non so se possiamo ancora essere amici.

È arrivato il nuovo MacBook Air con M3  e con la gherika ci siamo scervellate  

per capire come spiegarvelo al meglio. Anche  perché alla fine la novità è il processore.

Punto. Però è un processore che abbiamo già visto. 

Quindi cosa razzo posso mai dirvi di  utile? Beh, posso raccontarvi chi dovrebbe  

considerarlo e chi invece… non dovrebbe.  Ma stiamo già andando lunghi quindi sigla!

SIGLA

MacBook Air, quello da 13 pollici, è il portatile  più venduto al mondo. E, senza troppi dubbi,  

posso dirvi che continuerà ad esserlo. Questo però non significa che tutti dovrebbero  

comprare il nuovo arrivato con M3 Ecco, partiamo proprio da loro,  

da quelli che NON dovrebbero comprare  il nuovo MacBook Air 2024 con M3. 

La novità più importante, lo dicevamo  prima, è il processore Apple M3. 

Già visto, già testato… Di base possiamo  dire che nella quotidianità di un utente  

medio, la differenza non si sente. Per semplificare: se avete scelto un  

MacBook Air con M2 (come ho fatto io) o anche un  MacBook Pro con M2 (come ha fatto la gherika),  

passare ad un qualunque laptop Apple con  M3 per navigare in rete, lavorare online,  

gestire documenti e presentazioni, studiare o  guardare film e serie TV… NON HA ALCUN SENSO 

Non vi accorgereste minimamente della differenza. Sul quotidiano probabilmente la vera differenza  

la sentite passando da 8 a 16 GB di RAM,  soprattutto se fate tante cose contemporaneamente. 

Il senso comunque è che l'M2 va benissimo.  Anzi, per fare tutte le cose che dicevo prima  

va bene anche un M1… che trovate su Amazon. Ricapitolando: se fate attività abbastanza  

classiche, bastano un M1 o  un M2. Sull’Air come sul Pro. 

Questo però non vuol dire che non  cambi una cippa tra M1, M2 e M3. 

In realtà ogni generazione ci porta un po'  più in là anche se magari non vi sembra. 

Ad esempio, M2 e M3: hanno tutti e due la  CPU a 8 core, la GPU fino a 10 core e il  

Neural Engine a 16 core. Eppure abbiamo  un 20% in più di prestazioni con l’M3. 

In più Apple ha ottimizzato la NPU. OTTIMIZZATA, non aggiunta. Perché i core  

dedicata all’intelligenza artificiale c’erano  anche prima, ora però ci danno qualcosa di  

più in termini di efficienza e prestazioni. Abbiamo fatto un piccolo test con i Neural  

Filters di Photoshop, che sono dei super filtri e  che usano tante, tantissime risorse. Del computer,  

non del cloud (perché c’è una bella differenza) Il MacBook Pro con M2 della gherika e il mio  

MacBook Air M2 ci hanno messo quasi il doppio  del tempo rispetto a questo Air con M3. 

Non è sempre così, ovviamente. Ad esempio,  per rimuovere il rumore di fondo da un clip  

con CapCut entrambi i portatili ci hanno messo  manco un secondo però su compiti più gravosi  

la differenza la notate. Quindi qual è il punto  

di tutto questo spiegone sull'M3? Se i programmi che sfruttano l'AI  

hanno per voi un particolare peso, allora  dovreste valutare questo MacBook Air 2024. 

Tenendo comunque presente che: potete svolgere gli stessi compiti  

con un M2 che vi costa comunque meno  ma probabilmente ci metterà di più; 

dovreste valutare un MacBook Pro se dovete  svolgere attività estremamente impegnative. 

Per chi altro è questo portatile?  Non pensavo l’avrei mai detto ma va  

bene anche per i casual gamer. Non casual tipo Candy Crush,  

casual nel senso che non sono professionisti  e non sono super esigenti. Diciamo quelli  

che giocano perché gli piace svagarsi così  ogni tanto, anche con giochi belli pesanti. 

Guarda caso noi abbiamo installato  Death Stranding Director's Cut. 

Gira senza problemi con un'immagine di  alta qualità, una buonissima quantità di  

dettagli e soprattutto tutta la fluidità  necessaria per giocare senza lanciare il  

controller dalla finestra. L'M3 supporta persino il  

ray-tracing per una resa realistica della luce. Tutto questo per dirvi che abbiamo giocato senza  

dover cambiare computer perché MacBook Air con  M3 è perfetto per l’intrattenimento a 360 gradi. 

Con un processore M3 Pro o addirittura un  M3 Max andrà ancora meglio però significa  

prendere un MacBook Pro con conseguente  aumento di costi, dimensioni e peso. 

Ultimo caso di utilizzo: il lavoro con  due schermi esterni. Cosa che la nuova  

generazione di MacBook Air può fare tenendo il  portatile chiuso. Vi sembrerà una piccola cosa  

ma significa che usate meno batteria perché non  deve alimentare lo schermo integrato e allo stesso  

tempo fate tutto il multitasking che volete. Non sto qui a raccontarvi tutte le altre  

caratteristiche perché trovate tutto  nella recensione che è già uscita su  

techprincess.it. Tiriamo però delle conclusioni MacBook Air 2024 con M3 è un portatile da paura,  

che porta avanti una tradizione di eccellenza:  che possiamo tradurre grezzamente con “fenomenali  

poteri cosmici… in un minuscolo spazio vitale”. Ci giocate, ci lavorate, la batteria dura  

tantissimo, il display è ottimo, le videochiamate  vanno alla grande e la connettività è buona,  

anche se vi servirà il solito hub USB-C. È buono anche il prezzo: si parte da € 1.349 per  

la versione da 13 pollici che secondo me  è equilibrato per quello che offre. E tra  

quello che offre c’è pure un’ottima longevità.  Non è un portatile che cambiate l’anno prossimo  

e manco tra due anni. Potenzialmente terrà botta  per 6-7 anni, sia in termini di resistenza fisica  

sia di aggiornamento software sia di supporto  all’intelligenza artificiale. Rispetto a tanti  

windows, lo abbiamo sempre detto i prodotti Mac  e apple in generale sono più duraturi nel tempo. 

Ribadisco però che non è per tutti. Ha senso se: non avete un portatile o ne avete uno da cambiare; 

avete un vecchio MacBook Air con processore Intel; avete un M1 e un M2 e avete DAVVERO - e sottolineo  

DAVVERO - bisogno delle prestazioni aggiuntive  che offre questo Air, sempre considerando che se  

volete disperatamente le performance c’è il Pro. Spero che questo video vi abbia aiutati a capire  

se comprare o non comprare il nuovo MacBook  Air con M3. Ovviamente se lo comprate poi
