Why is hydrogen peroxide a concern for hair color?
-Hydrogen peroxide can interfere with melanin, the pigment that colors our hair and skin. If not converted into less dangerous substances by the enzyme catalase and glutathione, it can lead to hair graying.

Transcripts
I had a gray almost white stripe right
here in the front which I found quite
annoying I don't really mind the Grays
over here on the sides as much but this
gray area in the front really stood out
with these supplements some of my
natural brown color has come back and
the Grays have become a lot less
noticeable I also used to dye my hair
from time to time but I didn't like that
sometimes it came out a bit too dark and
then it just looked obviously dyed I'm
not sure what's more vain dyeing your
hair to cover up Grays or not dying your
hair because you don't want to look like
someone who dyes their hair what do you
think anyway the number one thing when
it comes to reversing gray hair seems to
be removing stress from your life but
unfortunately that isn't a real option
for most people and to be honest having
gray hair really stresses me out so I've
tried many things I tried those shampoos
that claim to reduce Graves if you use
them every day and they did absolutely
nothing and the ingredients are super
harsh but the following supplements are
very promising and I take them all so if
you have prematurely graying hair give
these a
try let's start with the simplest one
the first one is a mineral that you
might be deficient in and it is copper
with prematurely graying hair we can
first increase copper to build the
enzyme to keep the pigment in the hair
copper is a critical mineral that your
body uses to produce melanin since
copper is is a co-actor for certain
enzymes used in the melanin your hair
color production and in a deficient
state it leads to graying hair here's
why copper is so critical for optimal
hair Health but also for optimal hair
color copper is an essential Trace
mineral that is required for
synthesizing specialized cells in your
hair follicle copper is also necessary
for enhancing your iron uptake in your
stores of iron so if you have hair loss
and graying copper deficiency definitely
could be a factor here a copper
deficiency creates a situation where
oxidative stress overwhelms your hair
follicle and negatively impacts these
cells which leads to premature graying
before taking a supplement though you
should test your copper levels the
optimal copper level for ideal enhanced
hair color and hair tone or melanin
enhancement is between 100 and 130 on
your copper scale so how do we enhance
your copper if you are taking a
multivitamin or a mineral supplement
those don't contain enough copper
unfortunately you could take a copper
supplement but there are some foods you
can incorporate first and see if that
makes a difference several foods that
contain optimal levels of copper are
shellfish especially oysters organ Meats
nuts seeds mushrooms dark leafy
vegetables and spirulina which is great
for vegans I actually consume another
super healthy food that has a lot of
copper in it and that is black strap
molasses unlike refined sugar black
strap molasses contain essential
vitamins and minerals it has a lot of
powerful health benefits black strap
molasses is the dark brown thick liquid
that remains after the extraction of
sugar from raw sugar cane it is set to
help prevent cancer balance blood sugar
levels help women with PMS and promote
skin health I put that in my tea or
coffee in the morning one to two
teaspoons it adds a nice subtle
sweetness it's extremely mineral rich
and has a lot of copper in it you can
also bake with it or drizzle it on
yogurt granola whatever but if you
prefer taking a supplement after you
found out that your copper levels are
insufficient a daily dosage of 1 and 1/2
to 2 and 1 12 milligram is good to
balance out your copper number two our
second supplement today is NAC or n
acetal cysteine have you ever seen a
person who was under a lot of stress
whose hair turned gray or white in a
matter of days this really happens to
some people and it's caused by hydrogen
peroxide not a applied from the outside
but produced from within the hydrogen
peroxide interferes with melanin the
pigment that colors our hair and skin to
prevent hydrogen peroxide from damaging
cells and tissues it must be quickly
converted into other less dangerous
substances this conversion is done by
the enzyme catalase and glutathione the
body's Supreme detox compound now NAC
may have these specific benefits for our
hair health and pigment glutathione
boost NAC supplementation directly feeds
glutathione production crucial for
neutralizing hydrogen peroxide in hair
follicles which if left unchecked leads
to hair graying this process is vital
for maintaining natural hair color and
preventing gray hair antioxidant
properties nac's role as an antioxidant
is pivotal in hair retention and
reducing graying its antioxidant
capabilities also reduce DHT and
reactive oxygen species keep factors in
managing hair loss which makes NAC a
great alternative to finasteride or
propa which a lot of men take to combat
hair loss as far as dosage is concerned
600 to 800 milligrams per day seems to
be a good dose so that's what I take
some supplements go as high as 12200 or
1,800 milligrams but for what we're
trying to do that doesn't seem to be
necessary and before we get to the last
supplement I want to tell you about
today's sponsor if you are looking for
high quality anti-aging supplements this
company particular offers an amazing
line of high quality supplements and
their prices are really good there are a
lot of companies out there selling
supplements some of them you know quite
suspicious and it's not easy to figure
out what is a solid product and what
isn't particular is very transparent
with disclosing their suppliers their
manufacturing facilities and third-party
test results on trust pilot their rating
is excellent and I always check any
company's ratings on trust pilot I take
both their nmn as well as their TMG
supplement and I'm really happy with
them their nmn capsules contain 99% pure
stabilized nmn with a potent dose of 500
mgram per capsule particular recommends
a single daily serving this dosage is
amongst the highest available for those
of us seeking a significant boost in our
NAD levels and all their products are
vegan and non-GMO which is very nice
check out the link below for special
offers on supplement from particular so
I went back and forth trying to decide

the research is still not strong enough
