hey everyone we finally got a release
date for version 1.0 of 7 days so let's
hear it well the experimental is coming
out uh we're targeting June 21st with uh
public for streamer weekend beginning
and public experimental on June 24th so
that's June 21st for the streamer
weekend in case you don't know that
means that content creators are going to
get the game for about 3 Days To kind of
stress test it and also to kind of
generate some hype at least that's their
justification for it and that following
Monday on the 24th will be an
experimental build available to the
public now you'll have to opt into this
manually on Steam in order to get access
but this is pretty much like the
official day one of 1.0 now at the end
of the stream they did reveal when they
plan to release the stable version
that's the version that they basically
put the stamp of approval on and they
send it out to everyone as an automatic
update for the game uh and right now the
target date for stable and we're hoping
to do we're hoping to do a simultaneous
release for console 2
would be uh Thursday July 25th so yeah
Thursday July 25th so big asterisk on
all of this anything could come up
between now and then that could delay
this release so don't be surprised if
they miss these dates so what I want to
touch on first is what I think will
probably be the biggest change coming to
1.0 and that is the progression fix I
think that most veteran players would
agree that the trader system is kind of
broken right now for the most part you
can always get your highquality items
and armor from Quest Rewards or
purchasing them outright without the
need for looting or crafting to obtain
them so changes to Quest rewards to
Trader inventories and to the loot table
are said to really draw out the game a
lot further Joel says here that
typically a two-person playthrough could
basically mid Max in a matter of 20 to
30 days but now in 1.0 that could take
upwards of 70 to 80 days as you make
incremental progress crafting better
gear and speaking of crafting better
gear we have it confirmed that you will
be able to craft tier six legendary
items with the help of a single
legendary part it doesn't matter what
tier of weapon it is for example pipe
shotgun versus pump shotgun versus auto
shotgun is going to require one
legendary part for the legendary item
but I would like to draw your attention
to the crafting recipes so here you can
see the recipe for a tier five auto
shotgun in Alpha 20 1.2 that's current
version of the game and now compare that
to the 1.0 version of the auto shotgun
level five and see how many extra
shotgun parts and resources you're going
to need to craft it and I think this is
one of the ways that they're trying to
draw the game out they're making things
a lot more difficult to craft but
simultaneously making them a lot more
difficult to purchase or to find and
these legendary parts will be available
in loot as a very rare loot drop or also
available from the Traders but the
indication is that there's a higher
likelihood of obtaining them in higher
tiered pois giving you further reason to
advance your quest and get into tier
fives and while we're on the topic of of
Traders all of the Traders are receiving
new voiceover lines in fact three of
them are getting entirely new voice
actors that's Bob Joel and Hugh all
getting new actors they got the same
actors to play Trader wck and Trader gen
though but they'll have new lines up to
1,200 new lines between them and they
talked about them kind of discussing
things like the weather and the
temperature outside and what's going on
politically such as some drama between
the Duke and Noah kind of setting things
up for the story that they're going to
add later on but also filling in some
lore gaps between who the Traders are
what they're all about and their
relationship with each other we did get
to hear this a little bit it sounded
okay re sounds okay but they were
talking over him every single time so I
don't have any clean audio for you I did
however catch a clip of the um the
intercom you know when the Trader's
about to open or close there's kind of a
generic voice right
now is now open each Trader will have
their own intercom sound so I'll let you
listen to that along with Joel talking
about something random soon so make your
final
selections depending whoever the tra
is nice about
it is sounds good to me well it's going
to be a little bit jarring to hear new
voice actors for some of the Traders but
we're going to have to get used to it
next up we have improvements to random
World Generation I just generated an 8K
map and it took me just a little bit
over 2 minutes to do so however they
generated several 8K Maps during the
live stream all of them Tak taking less
than 1 minute usually around 30 to 40
seconds to generate each one here's a
comparison of the alpha 21 random World
gen map that I made compared to a 1.0
random World gen map and this will be
the default setting with the pine forest
biome in the middle and all other biomes
surrounding it according to the devs
there will be more Wilderness pois more
cities and cities will be larger and so
if we have a closer look here you can
see that there are some options for the
biome layout and so Center Forest is
going to be the default but there are
several other options one of these is
the line map and they kind of refer to
this as like the the cake layout like
it's a cross-section of a cake and the
way it's set up is so that the Pine
Forest starts on one side and it
progresses linearly through all of the
biomes in order of difficulty so you'll
get burnt Forest Desert Snow Biome
Wasteland and this one is the circle
layout kind of set up like a wheel I
guess so that there's nothing in
particular in the middle and this one's
another Center Forest I actually like
this one a lot better this one looks
pretty cool of course you can zoom into
your map and have a look around before
you jump in and play just to make sure
that it has the layout that you want you
can also see that the pois are now
colorcoded so you can see the industrial
residential commercial and so on you can
also see where the Traders are and there
is an indicator for where the spawn
points are as well when they loaded into
the map the first thing that struck me
were the roads off in the distance that
are kind of going over or carving
through the mountains this is one of the
features that they're touting so here's
a look at that Alpha 21 map that I just
generated there a second ago and you can
see that the road s are winding over the
mountains and that's just kind of bumpy
it's not smoothed out they don't look
very meaningful Road spaghetti now I
don't think that the road spaghetti has
been completely removed just look at the
city right here it's got some weird
roads but hopefully they're making some
progress there and it does look like
these roads are a little bit less lumpy
that they've been kind of smoothed out a
little bit another important change to
how maps are laid out is that the
Traders are now specific to their biome
in the Pine Forest you will exclusively
now meet Trader wrecked and once you
complete his quests he will send you on
an opening trade routes mission to the
burnt Forest to meet Trader Jen who will
then send you to the desert to meet
Trader Bob then Hugh in the snow biome
and then finally Trader Joel in the
Wasteland all random World gen Maps will
now have this new organization of
Traders and to me this is a good change
because the Traders are kind of like
thematic anyway like you would expect to
see the farmer Trader in the Pine Forest
and you would expect to see Hugh in the
snow biome and at least for me it's nice
because I I know what's going to be in
stock at specific Traders and so now I
know okay the Wasteland is to the north
if I need to go see the armor guy Trader
Joel I need to travel to the north to
find him next up we did get some looks
at the new player profiles and these
players are wearing some of the new
armors as well armors that we did not
see in the last live stream by the way
if you missed the first live stream
recap I'll put a pin up here so you can
check that one out when you're done with
this one anyway this time around we got
some good side by-side male and female
comparisons so here is the athletic
armor a light set of armor the Rogue set
another light set of armor of course
we're not seeing the helmets here here's
the preacher set I believe this is the
first time we've seen it's the first
time I've seen the preacher set at least
here are the minor sets supposedly a
heavy armor although doesn't look very
heavy to me anyway here's a side-by-side
comparison for the farmer set the
Wasteland assassin set which we saw in
much greater detail during the last live
stream this here is the Nomad set
another set of heavy armor the biker set
which is part of the new medium armor
class the ranger set again another
medium Armor class and this is the
Primitive set which will be available to
you starting at day one and lastly we
got a shot of the female nerd set of
armor the female enforcer again and the
male Lumberjack armor and now we move on
to new pois now there are a total of
over 75 new pois coming to 1.0 this puts
the total count of Po north of 750 and
they mentioned that their goal is to
crack a th000 in the near future among
the 75 new ones that we're going to see
there will be five new tier five pois
and six new tier fours and we got to
look at several of those here we'll
start off with Grover high this is tier
five School of course we're seeing this
right now in the prefab editor so the
cars are just like the generic car the
the red zombies on the rooftop are the
infestation zombies and then this is
more of what it would look like in the
game with some zombies spawning Up on
the Rooftop next up we have the minitar
theater this is another tier five and I
am liking how
you know relatively small and manageable
these pois look for kind of a dayong
quest experience and this is just a
quick peek inside the minitar theater I
did notice that there is a new barbed
wire appearance over here on the left
and I also noticed a couple of new signs
they did talk about having some new
signs plaques you know just specific
kind of logo type things to help with um
you know overall feel and immersion
we'll get a look at some more signs when
I do the Creative menu Deep dive at the
end this one here is a tier five Hotel 7
Days sweets I was just talking about
liking the smaller ones that seem more
manageable this one looks huge but I
think they're doing a good job they're
not really taking us inside and spoiling
some of the um you know triggers and
events and things that happen inside
these places this one here is called the
Meridian center now this is a Remnant
this is not a well it's a point of
interest but it's not a quable point of
Interest so there's no like main loot
stash at the end with like a tier three4
crate it's just filled with odds and
ends a few zombies but overall it's not
like a real POI it's just kind of meant
to fill in the world and give things a
little bit more flavor and and give you
something to explore on your own and not
inside of a quest experience this here
is the Blue Ridge installation kind of
like the Red Mesa installation although
this one is a tier 4 it is inspired by
the Cheyenne Mountain Complex which is a
an American Military Base excellent job
with the terrain sculpting here looks
very nice and it appears to extend deep
underground with something going on here
at the very end next next up is the
return of the football field the
Athletics complex they're calling it
this should be taking the place of the
Navas Gan Coliseum which we used to see
in Nava game and in the back here is the
football field there's some kind of an
event that they teased like something
happens back here something special so
be interesting to see what that is but
um looks like it got converted into
basically a mass burial grave site but
they wouldn't bring us any closer and
this one here might be my favorite one
that they showed so far just because of
the potential for a horde base built
into this place this is the utility
Refinery number two and last up we have
the Gold Rush station this is a tier 4
military base if you ask me H this one
looks a little bit Bland compared to the
others all right moving on to the new
vehicles we actually got a look at all
five of the vehicles even with their
mods because you should be able to see
all vehicle mods on all different
Vehicles now we started off with the 4x4
with some green Dy looks more like a
monster truck to me but here you go
here's a look at the plow on the front
the plow is a new vehicle mod and it's
basically meant to decrease the amount
of damage that the vehicle will receive
for running into zombies or buildings or
whatever something which we got to see
in Action a couple of times very
entertaining here's the expanded seating
mod for the back bringing the total of
passengers up to six off-road headlights
for the top expanded fuel tanks for the
side and here is a new orange die that
we can use on our vehicles here's the
new mini bike thankfully they scrapped
the old idea where they were going to
use a toilet seat for the expanded
seating option instead we get a lawn
chair no I think this looks pretty cool
actually okay here we go new bicycle we
didn't see it in action but I'm you know
it's a bicycle but the motorcycle man
this thing looks mean have a look at it
with the front armor plates which look a
lot like the the current motorcycle that
we have here's a look at the expanded
seating options so you can have a
passenger some black Dy and the off-road
headlights and altogether this is
probably the sickest looking vehicle
that they put in here I love this it's
great put some red D on and this thing
has my name written all over it next up
the
gyrocopter wow massive makeover for this
thing really cool to see the nose
painted up like a like an old fighter
and they took it for a bit of a test
ride and you know what I actually think
that the the handling has changed on
this it seems a little bit more stable
in the air and it has a little bit more
of a floaty kind of feel which might
make it easier to handle so one thing
they touched on in the Q&A of the last
stream are some changes to the DU
collector but they actually showed us
this this time so the new du collector
will produce murky Water by default but
it will not require a water filter to
craft it'll just take regular primitive
resources probably the same resources be
like pipes I don't know polymer duct
tape stuff like that so here you see
it's producing yellow water murky water
but it has mod slots in it as well and
there are three mods that can go into it
the first is a water filter and I I do
think that they said that you'll get
these mods from the trader I don't know
if you'll find these in loot I don't
know if they're craftable either they
did specifically mention like Trader
though so it might Traer only I'm not
sure anyway once you put the water
filter in it'll start producing clean
water instead of murky water there's
also this thing called a gatherer which
looks like ice like a it's a cooling
thing so it's going to increase the rate
of due collection so you'll produce
water faster it'll fill up faster and
lastly there is a tarp which it says
increases the amount of water collected
each day and what Joel explained is that
instead of having one water in each slot
you'll get two water in each slot so
when the D collector fills up you'll be
able to collect six jars of water out of
it this is a very welcome change in my
opinion Joel did explain that he's going
through his own playthrough right now
he's playing co-op with a friend of his
and they have uh I think he said six or
eight du collectors but he thinks that
you could probably get away with having
maybe three if you were a solo player
and I agree with that you typically even
right now I'll have three or four just
for my own needs but with the
progression changes there might be a
higher requirement for things like glue
and duct tape so I don't know maybe
we'll have to have more than three if
you want to be very industrious we'll
have to wait and see and while they were
showcasing some things they did pull out
a rocket launcher to show us the new
explosion particle effects which in my
opinion are looking a little bit rough
still but you know we have to keep in
mind that we're trying to balance
performance with appearance and now
let's do the Creative menu Deep dive
basically every time they open the
creative menu I froze every single frame
to analyze each item to see if there's
anything new here anything interesting
and on the very first one I saw this
icon right here this is obviously some
kind of a clothing item or or a clothing
mod or some sort of radiation protection
and I think that in the future when they
do the weather update you're going to
have to have this installed on your
armor or you know wearing this hazmat
suit or whatever it's going to be in
order to enter the Wasteland safely or
stay there for any length of time also
they've talked in the past about having
a pill like a radiation tablet it's all
just going to work exactly like Darkness
Falls works right now and probably other
mods that I'm less familiar with next
frame here just shows some new Candy IC
cons nothing special here these are the
same new graphics that we see on the
vending machines here are some of the
signs that I think I touched on earlier
these look like um I don't know street
signs or gas station signs or you know
stuff that you might see in like Trader
Bob's shop for example and here's the
juicy stuff right here so I pointed out
the quad armor Pocket Mod that I saw
before and you can see that right here
in the top you can also see next to the
impact bracing mod there's another shoe
or boot type of mod and it has a pillow
strapped under it so I this is either a
fall distance kind of thing but that
would be the same as the impact pricing
mod so I think it's probably a noise
reduction mod for your boots also on
this Frame I caught a look at the
perception mod so this is how you're
going to get plus one perception
strength agility intellect and fortitude
there will just be a mod that presumably
gives you plus one to that attribute and
I pointed this out in the last stream
but here's another look at it there's
some kind of an XP mod here presumably
increasing your experience gain and next
to that we have the new night vision
goggles which I haven't seen it uh in
person yet but I from what I've heard
it's not green like it used to be it's
like black and white like a modern
version of night vision and it's a
helmet mod and not eyewear and that does
it for this stream guys we only have one
more week to go of these developer live
streams and the weekend after that will
be the streamer weekend I'll be giving
you full coverage up to and through

stream here was much more organized and
