looking more polished and stylish come
Downs to the little things you do every
day like your grooming your fits your
accessories and the coordination between
them hello hello my lovelies I am additi
and today we are talking about how you
can effortlessly elevate your appearance
and look more polished without spending
a lot of time or without spending a lot
of money I'll be sharing 10 tips with
you which honestly will fit in very
easily into your daily life once you get
used to them they are going to be very
effortless but they will make you look
like you have put a lot of effort into
your appearance but before we begin I
want you to pause this video and comment
five things down below that you love
about yourself because self- love is the
first step to looking and feeling like
your best self okay done let's get
started now glowing and healthy skin
makes you look good that is UN deniable
and while you need to put in effort to
achieve healthy skin which is through
healthy eating exercising hydration and
the right skin care all of that good
stuff there are a few things that you
can do before an important event or
before you have to go out somewhere to
instantly uplift your skin one is
shaving your face for that peach fuzz
now I use these simple single blade
razors from sany to remove any unwanted
hair and this is a part of my weekly
routine which means I do this once a
week regardless of whether I have to go
out or not and the hair does not grow
back thicker or coarser I don't know if
you can see it on my face but there is
no coarse hair and I've been doing this
shaving thing for quite some time now
like 3 years at this point but yes if
you have never tried this before please
do a patch test because you might have
sensitive skin that might cause redness
or irritation and if you have active
acne on your skin like a lot of pimples
or if you have skin Sensi sensitivity
already then please consult with a
dermatologist before you go ahead and do
this but shaving your face basically
exfoliates your skin and also gets rid
of those micro hair and this helps your
skin care go in a lot better and your
makeup go on a lot smoother it looks so
good the next thing I do is sheet masks
the night before I have an important
event or a shoot and this is like a mini
facial at home it hydrates the skin
makes it more plump so the next morning
of course it's looking better it's
looking fresh radiant glowy all of those
good things right but I always always
avoid getting an actual facial or using
products that I have not used before
right before an important event or a
shoot right so I will stick to sheet
masks that have worked for me in the
past this is to ensure that I'm not
trying out any new ingredient that can
cause irritation or acne or redness
similarly with facials they can make
your skin get worked up and irritated so
it's best not to do them immediately
before like you have an important thing
coming up and finally I also use these
acne patches the night before um if you
get like breakouts or your pimples this
is a great way to deal with them quickly
I'm PMSing currently so I have like
active acne there's a pimple here
there's a pimple here and the reason
that they've gotten this small is
because I have been using these acne
patches for the last two nights they
have some active ingredient which
basically like shrinks the appearance of
your pimples over night or like within
two nights and that's really really
helpful now I know that body odor is not
something that you can see but if you
smell bad that automatically makes you
look less polished and less attractive
you could be wearing the nicest outfit
you could have the best makeup on but if
you have bad body odor that can
completely ruin your look don't worry
there are a couple of ways to fix it the
first thing you want to do is reduce
odor like reduce the source of your body
odor so if you have smelly armpits try
wiping them down with glycolic acid or
witch hazel or even apple cider vinegar
after you shower apple cider vinegar and
glycolic acid have actually worked
really well for me in the past when I
was in my uh late teens and early 20s
which is when you tend to get a lot of
body odor because your hormones are
changing over time with age for me that
issue has gone away so I don't get bad
body odor now but initially when I did I
used these two things and also make sure
that you wash your armpits very very
regularly with soap and with water
because there's a lot of bacterial build
up in your skin folds and keeping it
clean is one of the best ways to prevent
body odor the second thing you want to
do is use a good roll on deodorant and
carry it around with you don't just
leave it at home I love love love love
this loxitane one I've been using it for
5 plus years it lasts super long and yes
it's a little bit on the expensive side
of things but one bottle can last me
like 2 years so I don't mind the price
and over a period of time it's actually
not that expensive girl math and I
personally love this one because it does
not have nasty ingredients and it smells
wonderful so it prevents any sort of
body odor if I just apply it once a day
it works for the entire day so it's
super effective proves to be super
affordable because it lasts really long
and I love the smell third thing you
want to do is make sure you do not have
bad breath the smelly armpits is not the
only way to get bad body odor so make
sure you are hydrating regularly a lot
of the times when you don't drink enough
water that can result in bad breath but
if you constantly have bad breath get it
checked out because it could be because
of a gut health or a dental issue
however if it's a one-off thing and you
don't want to just have that spewing on
other people carry mouth fresheners as
simple as that I carry a box of mint in
my bag always you can can also do clove
or elii long or elichi because they are
great uh homemade mouth fresheners that
work really well as well and the final
thing you want to do to smell good is
have a signature perfume scent now when
you do all of your showering and your
deodorant and your body lotion and then
you layer that on top with a perfume it
actually helps you keep the aroma loged
in for longer so that obviously cancels
out a lot of that body odor and it helps
you smell so fresh and nice all of the
time and secondly having a signature
fragrance actually helps people
associate you with that fragrance right
it's a nice way of creating that sense
of familiarity and comfort and when you
combine it with all the other steps on
this list basically people start to
associate you with looking and smelling
good and again you do not have to invest
in expensive perfumes just to smell good
AAL does a great range of budget
perfumes in fact one of my go-to daily
fragrances is Sacred Love from ajal I
absolutely love it I've been using it
again for like 5 plus years and I always
have a couple of bottles in stock
because what if they stop making it
tomorrow and I can't find it anymore
Zara also has uh great budget fragrances
so go take your pick find a good
fragrance and use it
[Music]
regularly your hairstyle can make or
break your look and I think your hair
has one of the biggest impacts on how
groomed and Polished you look now a few
things you can do to instantly Elevate
the quality of your hair or your
hairstyle is one taming your Friz I know
that for some hair types that's a lot
more difficult to do than other hair
types but from all the people that I
have spoken to and including my own
experience I have found that if you do
good prep for your hair that can
actually help you tame your F to quite
an extent now what do I mean by good
prep this means one oiling your hair
before you wash them and then using a
good mask that is suited for your hair
type after you've washed your hair I
have been using B Blunt's intense shine
hair mask which is my ideal solution for
hassle-free costeffective salonik hair
at home so after I've washed my hair I
squeeze out all of the water and then
take a good amount of the mask and apply
it along the ends of my hair and leave
it on for at least 10 minutes now this
duration is super important because the
ingredients in The Mask need time to
penetrate your hair shaft properly if
you wash it off too quickly they're not
doing their job right but if you leave
it on for the correct amount of time it
helps make your hair smoother shinier
less frizzy and then after I have washed
my hair I will let it air dry to about
80% and then I will go in with my hair
serum and my drying brush to give myself
a blowdried look and you can use my code
ad 2024 to get 20% off on ban.com you
can also find that product products on
Amazon naika and Flipkart okay now there
is another reason that I absolutely love
using be blunt products they have been
involved in increasing female employment
in empowering women to earn and support
themselves so every time you buy from
them be blun actually links your order
to a woman that they are empowering
alongside the samab foundation through
their B Blan shine Academy they are on a
mission to empower 10,000 women across
the country so if you want to be a part
of this the details are going to be in
the description so after you've tamed
your fris the next thing you want to do
is add volume to your hair now I
understand that this is like a straight
hair fine hair oily scalp problem but I
have been facing it for the longest time
and one of the best hacks that I have
found to add volume to your hair is to
use dry shampoo my hair gets oily the
next day after a wash so if I don't use
dry shampoo I will have to wash it every
single day and that's not a good thing
so what I B basically do is spray some
dry shampoo on my roots and then flip my
head massage the dry shampoo into the
roots and comb it through and I
instantly have a non oily scalp and more
volume in my hair and finally for when
I'm using a hair tie or tying my hair
back I like to use either a wax stick or
a hair gel with like that mascara wand
thingy to basically not have flyways
again just like I hate Friz I hate
flyaways and they just irritate the hell
out of me so I tame them with this gel
spoolie and that's very very convenient
now before I sign off on the hair thing
keep in mind that not all looks suit
everybody I absolutely don't like
slickback looks on myself even though
they are trending so much right now
everybody is doing slickback looks but I
found that certain hairstyles look
better on certain face shapes on certain
body types Etc and I personally feel
that open hair or loser hairstyle sty
suit me well as opposed to like a
slicked back look because then I start
looking like an egg and I don't want
that so use hairstyles that look good on
you instead of just following Trends
[Music]
blindly this allows you to make a
statment and draw attention to your
favorite features so a focal point is
essentially like a center piece that
makes your outfit stand out and captures
the eye okay and why I love focal points
is basically it allows me to style my
entire outfit around that one thing so
it's also like a creative exercise and
that ways your entire look compliments
that focal point and you look a lot more
polished and put together I start by
picking the item that I want to use as
the focal point so today for me it is
this gray one shoulder top it's very
nice it's very Sleek it's very elegant
it's plain and simple but it's still all
of those things so now I've dressed this
up I want to wear it for a casual look
so I'm going to pair it with jeans and
gray slippers so as to not take away
from the attention that this blouse is
bringing to my deage area my jewelry is
simple it is dangling earrings which
draw the eye downwards again towards my
collarbone which is the area that I want
to highlight with this top as well right
so that's how focal points in general
work for you it could be a brightly
colored blouse or it could be a printed
dress or it could be really nice chunky
earrings or a statement necklace it
could even be a statement bag or
actually like a red pair of pumps you
will have seen that in good Styles in
people who look put together when
there's one focal point everything else
around it is not clashing with it but
complimenting it and that is what we
want to achieve and that will always
always make you look more polished as
opposed to having too many different
focal elements in your outfit because
then that just ends up looking tacky
here's another example from my wardrobe
here in my outfit the necklace is my
focal point and so everything else is a
little understated to highlight that and
to complement it instead of just adding
multiple different elements that clash
with each
other I feel like materials that look
and feel high quality automatically make
you look more polished similarly the
stitching and the construction of the
fabric also has the same effect nowadays
honestly every single brand including
designer labels use polyester brand
Fabrics in their outfits but that is
does not mean that polyester has to be
low quality right you can still tell if
something feels high quality by how it
falls on your body how it hugs your
curves whether it's see-through or not
if there is peeling on the outfit which
is that ch ch r that appear right and as
for the construction whether the thread
is seamless whether the seams are
covered from the inside whether they're
threads showing or fabric hanging loose
Etc are the hems symmetrical all of
those things show you whether uh the
outfit is constructed well or not so
here's a dress from Unico it's polyester
but the construction is great the fall
of the fabric is great it hugs my body
really well which is why it looks
premium it looks good but at the same
time this is a shirt from unigo it's
100% cotton but because it's difficult
to make it stay creas free it just looks
a lot less polished despite the fact
that it's a great Fabric and it's 100%
cotton right I personally like to pick
clothes that keep their shape and their
look despite wearing them for really
long now understanding and playing with
the proportions in your outfit can
significantly enhance your overall look
how do you do this one try pairing loose
items with fitted items right that's a
classic example so if you're wearing a
loose top go with a more fitted bottom
if you're wearing flowy bottoms go with
a fitted top now whether you choose to
go with flowy tops or fitted tops or
flowy bottoms or fitted bottoms will
depend a lot on your body shape will
also depend on what you feel comfortable
in now since I have a heavier upper body
and a Slimmer lower body I like to
balance it by wearing slightly more
fitted tops and then loser floer bottoms
and that just helps me balance out my
proportions better I know that the
oversized everything is kind of a trend
right now but I feel like that looks
great on certain body types and not all
I personally if I wear something loose
from top to bottom it will look like
I've worn pajamas and gone outside and
that's not a look that I want for myself
another thing you can do is play with
highlighting the features that you like
about yourself like using a belt to
cinch your waist or using dangling
earrings to draw the attention down
towards your collar bone or if you're
wearing like a deep we neck dress or a
shirt you can use like a longer necklace
to draw in attention towards that V
another great rule is the third piece
rule which is basically adding a third
piece like a Blazer or a vest or a scarf
to make your outfit look more
intentional or polished right so like
I'm wearing this shirt and jeans combo
now if I add like a tank top inside the
shirt and open it up that adds more
Dimension the layers look better and
because it's the rule of three that just
breaks up the monotony and makes the
outfit look more
[Music]
intentional I think your choice of
Footwear can really make or break your
outfit but I feel like for most people
that's an afterthought you just put your
outfit together and then you decide what
what footwear to wear at the end moment
I've personally struggled with this I've
personally struggled with getting my
Footwear right and I just made this
mistake once again if you look at this
outfit and you look at the choules they
are not going with the outfit right but
for the most part I have soled for this
by having flats and heels in neutral
colors so which is your Browns your Tans
your blacks your grays that tend to go
with most outfits like I have this pair
of black and gray mules that go with
everything literally I absolutely love
them and they instantly elevate my
outfit and when I'm wearing them it just
makes me look a lot more Chic a good
pair of Footwear can instantly instantly
up your
look now wearing the right accessories
can make you look so much more polished
so much more put together and it
literally takes 5 minutes I think
putting on jewelry is the easiest hack
you can have to elevating your outfit I
never used to be an accessories person
before but I have come to become one in
recent times and here are a few ways I
do this so I have my staple pieces which
is my rings and the chain that I wear in
my neck and my watch as well and these
essentially become a part of me right so
no matter where I'm going this is
something I always have on I know that
people are not very comfortable wearing
jewelry around the house but I think you
can get used to it if if that's not
bothersome go ahead give it a try it
makes things a lot more convenient so
even if I'm not wearing anything else
because I have my staple jewelry pieces
on me it just instantly elevates my
outfit right the second thing you want
to do is have a few statement pieces so
a statement necklace a couple of
statement earrings maybe a chunky
bracelet all of those things are for
creating focal points in your outfit or
complimenting other focal points in your
outfit and that really makes for a great
hack to instantly level up style your
outfit and and it's super super easy and
the third is layering your jewelry so
ring Stacks necklace Stacks even earring
Stacks if you have multiple piercings
can instantly make your outfit look so
much more intentional and like I said
this is the easiest thing you can do for
your
outfit have a go-to nail polish at home
it can even just be clear nail polish to
basically give yourself a quick manicure
whenever you need it chip nails look
really bad they just take away your
whole look so if your nails get chipped
very easily or if your nail polish gets
chipped very easily and you don't have
time to you know paint it again and
again stick with clear nail polish that
just is classy is good you'll never go
wrong with it but it's very very
important to take care of these little
things because they signal to other
people it's a subconscious signaling
that you take care of yourself that you
pay attention to detail that you are
mindful of the little things and that
you're intentional with your outfits I
like I've already told you guys before I
love doing gel nails so once I do them
I'm sorted for the entire month and my
go-to color is a nudish pink because
that goes with everything looks good on
everything but this month I am kind of
bringing purple back so this is what my
manicure looks like absolutely love it
and yeah I always have gel one gel
polish on hand so if I have to quickly
do a touchup I can do it in 5
minutes this should be a look that takes
you 5 to 7 minutes to put together and
instantly elevates your appearance it of
course starts with a good base so for me
I use a mixture of BB cream and a little
bit of concealer this is not too much
it's not too little it's like the
perfect amount and it makes my skin look
like my skin just better it's not super
cakey it's not super heavy and this
means that I can wear it on any occasion
right so I can wear it when I'm going
out casually for a coffee with my
friends or if I'm going out for an event
I can just add like a little bit of a
glittery bronzer and it still works my
signature makeup look is winged eyeliner
as you can see pink lip and pink blush
this works very well for my skin tone it
makes me look fresh and vibrant and it
goes with almost every single look and
if I need to switch things up like I
said I'll just change the color of my
lip shade or maybe I'll add an ey Shadow
or maybe I'll go for like a bold red lip
and I'm sorted the base Remains the Same
I can literally put together this look
in 5 minutes I kid you not which means I
can always step out looking like my best
self so yeah that was it for this video
it took me multiple tries to record this
because the camera settings changed for
some reason and there was no audio for
the first time when I sat and recorded
this so I have spoken a lot today my
throat is almost gone but if you enjoyed
this video you are definitely going to
enjoy this one so go check that out next
and make sure you like this video And
subscribe because that really helps the
algorithm and let me know in the
comments which tip resonated the most
with you and I will see you guys very
very soon in the next one bye
