- The explore and hot pages will feature new designs and content each visit
- A simpler save/hide rating system is planned to replace the current method
- The alpha website is expanding in users and capabilities
- Multiplayer functionality may launch by end of January
- V6 development itself has slowed down recently
- Better user feedback integration is a priority moving forward

Transcripts
hey everyone here's a recap from the mid
Journey office hours on January 17th
they have a bunch of V6 functionality
coming that includes inpainting out
painting like pan and zoom and he hopes
they will be ready this week they're
running a little late cuz someone was
out of the office consistent styles are
also going to be tested soon it's sort
of like an image prompt but it's going
to lock into the style rather than the
whole image character consistency is
going to work in a similar way they are
working on a style tuner for version 6
testing one that is similar to how it
worked in 5.2 and also one that is
different and in his words better they
were testing out a new version of
describe this week but it wasn't working
great so they have to think about it
more and try to make it more accurate
they also modified the front page
algorithm it's a little more strict with
what it allows and in the future they
might try to remove more common tropes
that often appear there are a lot more
things coming to the website a new
explore page will look differently every
time you go to the page it will be
different you're going to see new
pictures every time if you like an image
it will be considered for the hot page
and if it stays hot for a long time it
will go to the top page I think all that
sounds really cool they're also going to
be redesigning the layout for looking
through your images I think it's just a
button layout but we'll see they're
going to be moving to a different rating
system it's going to be simple and
something like save or hide they might
have another button to allow different
types of rating systems but David said
they're leaning towards something that
is simple first the alpha website is
getting pretty good for creating images
and will expand to more users soon they
may have a multiplayer version of the
website coming near the end of the month
and for that they will need a lot of
people to help test it he said nii
version 6 is a bit behind the things
they thought would be working are just
not that great right now and the team
isn't quite happy with it yet David
talked about how they are training video
more but that is behind schedule as well
the data set was taking longer to
download than they expected a couple
more quick notes version 6 will probably
get faster by the end of the month and
they might might work on a larger update
to version 6 or they might go full speed
towards version 7 another thing that's
kind of interesting is that they're
going to try to do a regular polling
activity to ask everyone what the team
should be working on they're creating
algorithms to best ask for feedback and
then how to analyze that feedback they
don't want people to vote on things they
would rather have the community actually
say things there could be a big survey
in February where they're going to offer
a bunch of GPU hours to do a really long
survey it's sort of like a psychometric
research thing and it will be about
aesthetic preferences between people one
of their big goals is to figure out how
to make personalization work better if
you like the art in this video and how
could you not I think these are all
absolutely incredible here is the prompt
it's your subject collage comma Jimmy
turle style risograph printed
portraiture on artist's paper that's it
sorry if I pronounced any of that
incorrectly and I want to give a special
thanks to will re5 I found their prompt
