What getting TATTOOED taught me about women
Summary
TLDRIn this video, the speaker shares his 15-year experience with tattoos, discussing their impact on self-confidence, attraction, and mental toughness. He reflects on how tattoos once brought him attention, but emphasizes that confidence, not ink, is key to attraction. The speaker highlights how enduring painful, week-long tattoo sessions has helped build his mental resilience.
Takeaways
- 💉 Tattoos can attract attention, especially when they are fresh, but their impact fades over time unless accompanied by other factors like confidence and appearance.
- 👀 Women are not solely attracted to tattoos; it's more about the confidence and energy a man exudes rather than just his tattoos.
- 💪 Confidence and physical fitness play a bigger role in attraction than just having tattoos or muscles alone.
- 🎯 Getting more tattoos may polarize your appeal, attracting some people while disqualifying you from others, especially as more visible tattoos are added.
- 🧠 The process of getting tattoos, especially in long sessions, can be mentally tough and serve as a way to build resilience and mental fortitude.
- 🤑 Tattoos are expensive, and some people travel to other countries to get quality work at lower rates, but it's important to invest in a look that suits you.
- 🔄 Getting tattooed has changed the speaker's self-perception, especially when younger, giving him more permission to act in line with his desired identity.
- 💡 It’s important to choose tattoos that have personal meaning, but it's also okay to select tattoos based on aesthetic preferences.
- ❌ Don’t get tattoos to impress others or attract women; get them because you are personally drawn to the aesthetic or meaning behind them.
- 🏋️♂️ Tattoos, combined with confidence, physical fitness, and mental toughness, contribute to creating a specific archetype of masculinity, but tattoos alone won’t define who you are.
Q & A
What was the speaker's first tattoo, and what was its significance?
-The speaker's first tattoo was an arm piece that commemorated his father, who had passed away. It included his father's birth and death dates and was significant because it was a tribute to his father.
How did getting his first tattoo affect the speaker's confidence and attention from others?
-After getting his first tattoo, the speaker felt cool and received a lot of attention. He got compliments from people, especially when the tattoo was fresh, and this boosted his confidence. However, this attention faded after the tattoo was no longer new.
Does the speaker believe tattoos alone make men more attractive to women?
-No, the speaker does not believe that tattoos alone make men more attractive to women. He explains that a man's confidence and overall energy are more important factors in attraction. Tattoos can accentuate an already confident man but are not enough to attract women on their own.
How does the speaker view the relationship between tattoos and personal identity?
-The speaker views tattoos as part of shaping one's identity. He mentions that getting his first tattoo in his early 20s gave him permission to act like the person he saw himself becoming. Over time, his tattoos became part of his identity, but now he chooses tattoos more for their aesthetic value rather than for a change in self-perception.
What mental challenges does the speaker associate with long tattoo sessions?
-The speaker describes long tattoo sessions as a mental battle. He compares enduring the pain of multiple days of tattooing to being tortured, but he uses these experiences as opportunities to develop mental toughness. He emphasizes the importance of accepting the pain and staying calm throughout the process.
What does the speaker say about the cost of tattoos?

How does the speaker feel about getting tattoos for others' approval?
-The speaker strongly advises against getting tattoos to impress others, including women. He emphasizes that tattoos should be chosen for personal reasons and because the individual is drawn to the aesthetic, not for external validation.
What does the speaker say about how visible tattoos might affect one's appeal to different women?
-The speaker notes that more visible tattoos, such as on the neck or hands, might make a man more polarizing. Some women may be turned off by excessive tattoos, while others might be specifically drawn to them. As a result, having a lot of visible tattoos might limit one's appeal to a more niche audience.
How does the speaker approach the idea of choosing tattoos with meaning versus aesthetics?
-The speaker believes it's important to choose tattoos that are meaningful, especially for one's first few pieces. However, he also values aesthetics and doesn't think every tattoo needs deep meaning. He focuses on how the tattoo fits his overall look and character.
How does the speaker use uncomfortable situations, like tattoo sessions, as opportunities for growth?
-The speaker uses uncomfortable situations, such as long and painful tattoo sessions, as opportunities to develop mental toughness. He encourages embracing the discomfort, staying calm, and viewing it as a challenge to improve self-discipline and resilience.
Outlines
💉 Tattoos and Women's Attraction
The speaker reflects on his experience with tattoos and their impact on women's attraction. He shares that while tattoos initially drew attention when fresh, they didn’t make a significant difference in romantic pursuits. Compliments on tattoos came later in interactions, often when confidence and energy were evident, suggesting that confidence and presence are more attractive than tattoos themselves. He emphasizes that tattoos alone do not drastically alter a man's appeal; instead, they complement an already confident personality.
🖼️ Tattoos as Part of Identity
The speaker delves into his philosophy of tattoos as part of his personal archetype. He stresses that tattoos should reflect personal taste and identity rather than being used to attract women or impress others. While he has considered getting neck tattoos, he remains hesitant due to concerns about professionalism and the permanence of the look. Tattoos, combined with other elements like fitness and confidence, can contribute to a cohesive identity, but should not be relied upon solely for transformation.
🔥 The Mental Battle of Long Tattoo Sessions
In this section, the speaker discusses the mental and physical challenges of enduring long tattoo sessions. Having undergone multiple week-long stretches of tattooing, he describes the pain and discomfort associated with certain body areas, comparing it to torture. Despite the pain, he views the experience as a test of mental toughness and resilience. The endurance required during extended tattoo sessions has helped him cultivate mental strength, providing opportunities for personal growth by pushing through discomfort.
💸 The Cost of Tattoos and Personal Investment
The speaker touches on the high financial cost of tattoos, noting that while some people may seek cheaper options abroad, he prefers paying for quality work. He views the expense as an investment in himself, reflecting his love for the tattooed aesthetic. He advises others not to get tattoos to impress others, but rather for personal satisfaction and alignment with their identity. He reiterates that tattoos should be something a person is drawn to for themselves, not for external validation.
👤 Identity and Self-Perception with Tattoos
The speaker reflects on how getting his first tattoos impacted his self-perception. As a young man, the tattoos gave him a sense of identity and confidence, allowing him to see himself as 'that guy with tattoos.' Over time, however, his later tattoos had less of an impact on his sense of self, as he had already embraced his identity as a tattooed individual. He advises newcomers to choose meaningful tattoos that reflect something important, though he acknowledges that not every tattoo has to carry deep significance.

in this video I want to discuss with you
guys my experience with getting tattoos
and women's attraction towards men with
tattoos as well as the mental process of
getting tatted for long days at a time
like long sessions of tattoos the money
aspect to it there's a lot of different
things that go into it all right I have
I have quite a bit of tattoos at this
point I got full upper chest full leg
just did my upper
back I've been getting tattooed for 15
years now guys I got my first arm piece
when I was 19 my dad rest in peace to my
dad that's when he was born that's when
he passed away right that was the very
first piece I got and at the time when I
got that I thought I was so cool man and
I actually did get a lot of attention
when I first got the ink I was walking
around in a tank top like this with a
fresh shoulder piece and here's the
thing initially I actually did get
compliments on my tattoo I had fresh ink
and I was walking around and people
notice fresh tattoos it stands out
people appreciate ink at least 15 years
ago they did maybe now it's a lot more
especially in Miami but if you walk
around with a fresh tattoo in your
hometown people will notice it and
they'll make a comment about it they'll
give you a compliment on if it's a nice
piece of work and so for me as an
average dude up until that point who was
kind of chubby 5 fo8 had nothing special
about my archetype didn't dress well
wasn't lean didn't have any smile or
Charisma going on in my dayto day I was
just kind of walking around normal I
actually started to get compliments and
acknowledgements for this tattoo walking
around people were like whoo that's a
nice piece of ink especially when it was
fresh like 15 years ago the cross and
everything was like really popping out
now here's what you'll find though is
that after the tattoo
Peels and months go by and it's not that
fresh anymore and especially if I put a
t-shirt on you're not even going to see
it the t-shirt's going to go down to
like here you're only going to be left
with like some clouds popping out it
didn't really do much it never got me
laid I never had a girl come up to me
saying oh my God I love your tattoos
often times women will will tell me
later on that they like my tattoos
sometimes in the beginning of the
interaction they will but from my own
perspective I don't think they're
initially drawn to me because of that
because when I'm fat and I'm not in a
good State and I'm not confident and I'm
not in a good social flow no girl
compliments Me On My Tattoos when I'm in
a really good mood and I feel confident
and I feel sexy and I'm in a social flow
and I'm going out and I I open and it
hooks and the girl is looking at me
smiling she feels that confidence ring
it off of me it's in those moments that
the girl's like oh my God I love your
tattoo that's when the girl tells you
she loves your
tattoo same thing with the muscles like
the girl doesn't ever come up to me like
oh my God your physique you're so
[ __ ] hot they never say that at that
point you know what a girl tells me they
like my body it's like when we've been
dating or we're already kissing and
hooking up and then like we're laying in
bed or we're like leaving the date and I
have her grab my arm and then she's like
wow you got muscles that's hot they
never say that upfront they'll never say
that upfront about anything it's just
the way that they feel towards you all
right so women if they feel attracted to
you by your energy your
confidence yes it's attributed to your
look but don't think that you could take
an unconfident dude who who is not
physically attractive doesn't have
Charisma doesn't have social confidence
doesn't have anything going for him's
life and then you just put tattoo ink on
top of him and now the women are coming
towards him doesn't work like that it
can accentuate an already confident man
but it's never going to be the the one
thing that just solely attracts a woman
Now understand though that the further
you go into getting tattooed meaning
like let's say hypothetically I did my
neck my hands was a big thing uh my
chest maybe my other leg could be
another thing too like the more ink that
you get that's visibly displayed you're
also going to you're going to start
targeting a more specific niche of women
right so like one tattoo on your arm
doesn't stand out at all it's not that
attractive to anybody really if it's
fresh you might get some eyeballs on you
mainly dudes complimenting you no women
are going to come flocking to you for
that thing now if you start to get more
and more and more and more some women
will get turned off by that amount of
egg because we're going to disqualify
some women because it doesn't appeal to
all people but then there'll be also be
a a specific audience that will actually
be drawn to that more so you almost
become more polarizing in a sense that
the more tatted you get the more you'll
disqualify yourself from some women just
like if I get a neck toe it's going to
disqualify me from some women my hands
being tattooed kind of disqualifies me
from some women maybe not that much
especially in 2024 I feel like it's
becoming more and more and more accepted
honestly but yeah the more ink you get
the more it's just going to appeal to a
smaller audience so you're just going to
be going more and more Niche the more
you get tatted and here's the other
thing don't get tatted for the girl
don't get tatted because you want to get
the woman I always thought tattoos were
cool like if you put me in a GTA video
game and and I wanted to create my
character I would give my character the
full [ __ ] bodysuit of
tattoos and honestly I I've been
contemplating doing my neck for a very
long time I just I I haven't haven't
pulled the trigger on it nor do nor am I
fully sold on the idea I think it looks
cool I just don't know if it permanently
looks cool and so for that reason I've
been very reserved with it because I
like the idea of still being able to
look sharp and somewhat professional OB
I'll never be fully professional due to
what's happened but I don't I don't nor
do I want to be fully professional but
you want to you want to choose your
character wisely and and craft that guy
wisely right so that's been my
experience up till this point I have
noticed that once I got the leg done
once I had the chest done and you're
lean and you got the confidence and you
got the muscle and you can just put all
these pieces together it it does create
a certain archetype so it's tattoos is
one element of an archetype type that
you could add into your character to
push him into a certain direction that
one thing alone means nothing that one
thing stacked with everything else is
just more confirmation that you're a
specific type of
archetype now let's talk about some
other stuff I don't really hear too much
people talking about the first of which
is from my own experience getting
tattooed has
really it's a mental Battle Man honestly
it is now one day of tattooing is mental
battle but when you go for a week at a
time because me dude I've put in so much
time into my my ink I'm up to here this
whole [ __ ] leg all the way around
like like there's a lot of time that
goes into all this ink and my whole
back's done too and I'm not going to
just do these one-off pieces every three
months so me personally when I do get
tattooed I just blast it out for a week
straight and one thing I've noticed when
I'm going through these long
stretches 7 days in a row 7 hours at a
time 50 hours of work in a
week that [ __ ] is painful dude that [ __ ]
is painful the first hour of a tattoo
session not too bad Hour 2 hour three
hour 4 Hour 6 hour eight on a painful
piece like your [ __ ] middle of your
chest certain that those bones on your
spine in your
back the [ __ ] socket behind your
leg where your leg bends in back here
bro oh my God your
elbow man there's just there's just
certain pieces that are excruciatingly
painful but what I've noticed is when
you have 50 hours of just sitting there
and you got to just [ __ ] own like you
can't run away from the pain in those
moments dude you're going to have a
period where you just need to sit there
and accept what's going on some dudes
will [ __ ] [ __ ] out of it but I've
I've had these sessions more than enough
times to know like I've had three
different sessions that were week long
where we did 40 to 50 hours right so
I've probably put in over 200 hours of
being tattooed but there's been 40 to 50
hour stretches at a time and I can tell
you when you're on day three day four
and your adrenaline system's already
kind of shot from the last couple days
and your sleep isn't that good because
again your adrenaline system and the way
but also like you can't lay on your
[ __ ]
back it's day four of sleeping on your
stomach when you you're already in an
uncomfortable situation and you're and
you're nervous system shot and you're
waking up the next day and you know you
got to go in for another 7our session
and he's going to be tattooing right
around the area that he just finished up
from the day
before man it is not fun but honestly in
a lot of ways it BR it brought me a lot
of mental toughness sitting through
those sessions it's almost the
equivalent of being tortured and and
listen this is not something you should
this is not a a decision that should
force you to get ATT T too because you
want to go through torture I'm just
saying in my opinion this was an
additional benefit honestly just from
going through those week long stretches
you come out the other side because
there's days and hours at a time where
I'm like you want to tap out and instead
you tell yourself shut the [ __ ] up we're
going through this we're already
committed we're already here we already
paid for this [ __ ] and we're only
halfway through so you can't stop at
this point you got to go through
it and so once you accept that and you
give in you're just like you it's
accepted right it's acceptance that
we're just going to go through this
thing even though your body's telling
you not to and you got to sit there and
stay calm through the whole thing like
that's what I did on my most recent one
Not only was I accepting of it I told
myself I'm not I'm not going to I'm
going to work through the selft talk
through this tattoo that I'm just going
to sit through this pain and be totally
okay with it I'm not going to resist it
I'm not going to say why me oh my God
this is bad I took it as an opportunity
to really work on myself talking my
mental toughness
and again I don't see anybody talking
about this but dude it's worth it if
you're going through a long stretch of a
tattoo you might as well turn it into a
[ __ ] mental battle and that's what I
try to do with anything uncomfortable I
was trying to film this video I already
filmed five minute five minutes of this
video and I [ __ ] it up and I was like
We'll try it again tomorrow and then I
was like I was going to walk down back
to my apartment I was like no dude we're
banging this [ __ ] out man right so it's
like that the tattoo alone isn't going
to make you that mentally tough it's
just another opportunity because I'm
starting to see all the opportunities
that I could utilize Within Myself for
mental toughness right so you want to
start looking at any uncomfortable
situation as an opportunity to grow as
an opportunity to become more mentally
tough and I do think long stretches of
being tattooed honestly is an amazing
opportunity to do that the one other
thing I noticed that not many people
talk about is the shit's [ __ ]
expensive man like my some of my boys
they'll fly to Columbia get get good
work done at a significantly cheaper
rate if I didn't have that much money I
probably would do that I just have the
the finances at this point where I'd
rather my artist fly into my apartment
and then we just work for seven hours at
the end of the day after I've already
worked for like 10 hours you know I put
in eight 8 to 10 hours of work that day
block out the evening from 6:00 p.m. on
5:00 p.m. and we'll just go till
midnight or whatever time we're done for
the day depending on the
piece the money adds up but honestly I'd
rather invest it in it myself like I
don't I don't mind like I I'd rather
have this look me personally cuz I love
the look so don't get it to impress
somebody else you get it if it's
something that you're drawn
to and the one thing I the final thing I
want to mention in this video too is
that when I first got my first couple
pieces I was very scared to do it but
once I did get those done and they were
permanently on me and I accepted that I
did know something changed Within Me of
like okay I'm this guy now I'm this guy
guy now like clearly I'm looking in the
mirror and it's on me I'm that guy that
has the tattoos now I'm that guy that
has the sleeve
now now lately my last couple tats in
the last 10 years that hasn't had an
impact on me because I've already been
the tattooed guy but I did notice in my
teenage years and in my 20s my early 20s
in particular it did give me more
permission to think that I was a certain
guy because I permanently had this thing
on me like myself self talk was very low
back then and so I would always question
every single thing about my identity and
who I am and this and that and what I
did notice in my very early 20s was when
I had that first piece done I did notice
after a little bit of time I was like
okay I'm I'm this guy now and it did
give me a little bit more permission to
act a certain way and honestly in
hindsight I don't even like agree with
that philosophy anymore I'm just telling
you guys what happened to me when I was
192021 when I was getting those first
pieces of ink done all right so if you
have zero ink Choose Wisely man like my
very first piece I made sure that was
the most important thing in my in my
life which was my dad who passed away
and it it impacted me and and my life
massively and for that reason I really
wanted to put that peace on me some of
my more recent tattoos honestly they
don't have as much meaning some of them
do right like I have I have a profit on
my back that I'm really it it does have
a lot of meaning to
me my man had to hit me with the photo
bomb 13 minutes in welcome to the video
so I I do have some pieces that are like
important to me but I do have other I
guess we'll call them filler pieces of
connecting other tats like adding in a
cathedral into the background and you
know a couple other like oneoff Angels
or something like that that goes along
with the theme so I do think you should
pick meaningful pieces but also like
it's okay if not everything is fully
100% meaningful and me personally I like
the aesthetic more than anything so
before I get a piece that meaningful I
want it to also look very aesthetic on
my body because I'm choosing wisely
about the look that I want for my
character so all of these things go hand
in hand don't get the T for the people
don't get the T for the woman don't get
the T for approval get it because you're
you're drawn to that aesthetic as a man
and that's what you want for your own
character also when you're going through
the tattoo use it as an opportunity to
have some mental toughness grow through
that process sit there in the [ __ ]
pain and own it and don't run from it
and don't make any noise I don't make
any noise I've gotten 200 hours of
tattooing done I've barely made any
noise from my mouth while getting
tattooed my my artist told me he's like
we finished a 50 hour set she said dude
you took that [ __ ] like a champ I take
pride in that too it's not just about
the tattoo that's just how I I view
myself and that's how I go through my
dayto day I took that [ __ ] like a champ
I put in the work like a [ __ ] Champ
choose your ink wisely hope you enjoyed
this video that's all for today guys if
you want to work with me directly links
in the
description see y'all tomorrow peace out
let's go
