Outlines
🛒 Unboxing a Variety of Apple Pencil Tips
The speaker begins by sharing their decision to purchase all available types of Apple Pencil tip replacements on Amazon. This comprehensive purchase was prompted by a previous positive experience with Timovo's replacement tips. Upon receiving the new tips, the speaker notes the variety in packaging quality, from simple bags to more elaborate cases. They express skepticism about the branding and labeling of the products, with many appearing generic. The speaker also mentions their previous video review on a cost-effective screen protector that, while good, accelerates the wear of Apple Pencil tips, which sparked the need for this test of various tip replacements.
🤔 Testing the Durability and Feel of Different Apple Pencil Tips
In this segment, the speaker delves into testing the durability and feel of the replacement tips. They compare different brands, including 'A Winner' and 'Meco', noting the subtle differences in smoothness and resistance. The speaker also tries a generic tip from a cheap stylus and finds it surprisingly effective, even when using a sensitive brush for pressure testing. They conclude that, despite the variety, most generic tips feel similar, with minor manufacturing nuances being the primary differences.
🖌️ Exploring Specialty Tips: Metal and Rubber-Tipped Apple Pencil Replacements
The speaker explores specialty Apple Pencil tips, including metal and rubber-tipped varieties. They test the 'Six Fu' tips with tiny rubber tips, finding them surprisingly precise and potentially less prone to wearing down quickly. They also try 'Einor' metal tips, noting that the shortest profile tends to scratch the screen protector and is less favored. The medium and longer metal tips perform well, with the speaker suggesting they could be a cost-effective option for heavy users due to their metal construction. The speaker expresses surprise at the effectiveness of the rubber tips, which offer a different, yet satisfying drawing experience.
🎨 Evaluating the Artistic Performance of Various Apple Pencil Tips
In the final paragraph, the speaker evaluates the artistic performance of the Apple Pencil tips, particularly the 'Peelink' set that claims to emulate different pencil hardness levels. They test the 2B, HB, soft, and hard tips, finding that the rubber tips provide a unique drawing experience with varying levels of resistance. The speaker concludes that while the claims of different line thicknesses are not accurate due to the brush settings on the iPad, the tips do offer a range of feels that could be beneficial for different artistic styles. They recommend the HB tip from the 'Peelink' set as a favorite, appreciating its balance of resistance and smoothness.

Transcripts
so I did something a little bit crazy I
went on Amazon and I ordered pretty much
all of the different options for apple
pencil tip Replacements that they have
available I did this because a while
back I did a review of these replacement
tips made by timovo and they've been
pretty good I've been using them for a
while no issues there but when I went to
go look to order some new ones I saw
that there's just a ton of new options
available all different kinds there's
metal tips there's different hardnesses
and I don't know if they're any good
so I thought you know what let's just do
all of them and I'm just going to go
through everything I got and tell you
what I think all right so we' got a
variety of different packaging some are
just a little little baggy looks like
nothing fancy this is pretty much how
the OVO tips come there's not very good
branding on most of these so it's hard
for me to tell which ones they are this
is replacement tips compatible four pack
doesn't say who it's byy I guess I'm
going to have to do research to tell you
which ones these are these we will refer
to these as the super generic ones now
this I'm very skeptical of but I'm also
a little bit interested so this is by a
brand called peel peel in peel Inc p e i
l i n k apple pencil tips so this one is
fancy we've got this little case here
and you'll see that there's labels like
they're pencils 2B HB soft hard
and then the middle ones don't know what
those are I'm very skeptical if these
are going to do anything I think a lot
of this sort of emulation of a pencil is
really going to come down to the brush
that you're using and it's not like a a
soft pencil is like squishy so I I don't
know very skeptical now this pack is
another relatively nice thing but
there's again no real branding on this I
think it's there's some Chinese letters
I believe here again I'm going to have
to do resear Arch on these so I don't
know what we'll refer to these as but
these are hard to open I should brought
a little blade over here I get a blade
so I mentioned in my last video where I
tried out the cheapest paperlike
experience iPad screen protector on
Amazon and I said it was good and I've
been using it for a while and it's great
but it does wear down the apple pencil
tips pretty quickly but that's the case
with a lot of these things so that was
sort of what prompted me to do this
little test if you haven't seen that
video check it out after this don't go
don't go now so these are hard to get
out so what we have here are metal tips
sort of like the rock paper pencil one
from uh astropad which I've had good
luck with I don't know if these are
going to live up to that they look like
they're the same this one is shorter
okay this one has nothing on it you know
what we need to do I I think I need to
literally just pull up my order so that
I can see what we're dealing with here
because clearly there's no labeling
there's nothing I don't even know what I
have Okay so this little baggie right
here appear to be the a winner apple
pencil tip Replacements this is a four
pack that I paid $9.99 for so uh
definitely an inexpensive option A
Winner maybe I got to do my own I got to
do my own branding for this I think so
we can remember a winner that's their
logo now okay one Mission solved this
one we know about uh those are the
peelink pink peelink okay here we go I
believe this is the eight pack for apple
pencil tip upgraded replacement so
they're even calling out Apple saying
that these are an upgrade so what we get
here are actually so this was eight of
them for $8.99 and there's a 10% coupon
pretty wild okay so what they're telling
us here is we've got this is silly so
it's got these different pencil tips
here and it's showing us line thickness
and I I don't know if they've never used
an apple pencil and an iPad but this
this has no bearing on the line
thickness you can make the brush uh 3 in
wide and it's only going to make a line
as big as your brush setting so that's
wild so it looks like this eight pack is
just two of each different metal tips
and then regular tips and this brand is
called inur Ein inur inur i n r e and
that's their logo and now this last one
is replace ment tips and this is by Mo
Meco for iPad new made in China this is
like a a jewelry box of some sorts
o we have a image of a gold stamp tip
once you've received our products please
pull everything out of the package then
double check the pack product listing on
Amazon to make sure all accessories are
included if there's anything missing
please let us know well that's a nice
tip and this is a one-year warranty are
they really going to claim this as a
one-year warranty cuz like these are
like regular tips I will murder this in
a week if they want to test me I'm I'm
going to try and I'm going to try to get
a refund I'm going to keep this tip card
one year okay so these look like they're
all the same they just look like every
other replacement apple pencil tip I
thought there was more than this let me
just double check here to make sure they
were're not missing anything oh yeah
there's one more and it's these heinous
metal ones that I don't know if they're
heinous they just look they look very
sharp oh no no no these aren't metal
okay so this was a two pack and they
look like they have tiny rubber tips and
these were $7.99 for the two so I don't
know maybe we can come back to those oh
oh oh I found them they slit under my
laptop these at least say the name on
them six Fu tips B so we got those and
then I got one other wild card option I
recently bought the just the cheapest
Apple iPad compatible stylus on Amazon
for my 2-year-old because he is drawing
on one of the old iPads we have and he's
just scribbling he doesn't need the
precise control he's gonna bite it who
knows so I got him one it was like $5
and it came with four replacement tips
and at the time this came before
everything else my apple pencil tip was
pretty rough so I said let me just try
one of these so I took one of these tips
out put it right on my pencil I've been
using it for like two days now and it's
been fine pretty much the same as the
timovo ones I've been using and I'm
starting to think that they're all
pretty much the same as except for these
other ones that have like I don't know
different techniques but this is the one
that came on the cheap one it's getting
a flat spot already but they all sort of
do when you're using a a rougher screen
protector but the fact that they all
work and they're this cheap like even
this this is a four pack for like
including this stylus for like $5 and
again the apple pencil tips are way more
expensive than that to get started I'm
going to take off this flat spot version
of the these like random ones that came
with this cheap apple pencil not apple
pencil a cheap stylus that works with
the iPad and I'm just going to screw it
onto my pencil and screws on just like
any other ones do fits well no issues
there so there's it feels the same as an
apple pencil tip like there's no
difference for me the pressure
sensitivity is good we can try this out
with one of Kyle Webster's paint brushes
which is really sensitive to pressure
this color fill brush that you can use
to like make a gradient so you can get
super super light with this and I have
no trouble doing like super light washes
and then I can push and get really heavy
no issues here with this I have lots of
control okay so points for this cheap
generic one let's move on to something
fancy let's try these Mecha ones because
they have a one-ear warranty and yet
they look exactly the same as these
other ones let's just look at them
together I want to make sure I don't
drop them because I would never be able
to tell them apart these look they're
the
same yeah I it feels it feels exactly
the same I couldn't tell you that
there's any difference between these
they feel lovely the Meco feels good
these come with a one-ear warranty and
there's four of them so you you buy
these and then uh make them replace them
for a full year unless there's some sort
of silver line
silver not silver lining if there's some
sort of small tiny print tiny print
what's that that phrase I don't know
though these are hold on yeah they're
identical I was going to say maybe one
has like a shinier finish but no that's
not the case they're the exactly the
same okay so for some reason this feels
like smoother let me just double check
let's let's let's come back we're doing
a a Meco Meco versus a winner Showdown
here putting back on a
winner I don't know if it's just like a
manufacturing subtlety or like mixup a
winner feels like a winner to me it's a
little bit smoother than the Meco let's
let's do uh like a double a double check
so what I'm going to do is I'm going to
take out another winner and then a
different mecho and then we'll see if we
put them head-to-head again if we get
the same
results I'm still getting that smooth
feel so I'm going to put that back in
the winter bag and I'm getting a freshy
out of the Meco box
all right so it's like five 5% 5% less
smooth and I don't know if it's a bad
thing and I don't know if the winter
ones are a little more shiny they do
look slightly more shiny so maybe that's
a smooth thing I would be perfectly fine
drawing with either that tells you
anything but so far a winner is my
favorite but these are just like the
regular ones let's let's get a weird one
so I'm going to open up the six Fu now
these ones look complicated on the
Amazon page like they have got like
diagrams and like they make it seem like
they're very fancy let's see if I can
open them that would be useful tiny tiny
package okay so these are kind of wild
these don't look anything like the other
ones we've got like a skinny little area
that comes up and then there's a a
rubber tip screws on fine let's see what
this feels
like interesting so if you've ever tried
the pen tips I think the old ones where
they were just like a rubber tip that
went over your apple pencil that's what
these feel like because it it is a
rubber tip but it's like a tiny one
teeny tiny rubber tip this feels better
to me than those those rubber pencil
tips did I think because those were so
because they went over the apple pencil
tip itself it made it really fat so I
felt like you were drawn with like a
really fat marker this is more precise I
imagine that you couldn't get like the
side stuff that you can do with some of
the pencils now that's not something
that I use like I don't do any like side
pencil shading action so if you do it
seems like this wouldn't be able to
handle that so keep that in mind mind
I'm reviewing this as someone who draws
the way I do which you know looks like
this weird stuff on my mat this I'm
surprised by this cuz it feels nice it's
got like a little bit of resistance I
bet this would feel good on like a a non
screen cover iPad because it's got that
little bit of resistance and it doesn't
seem like it would wear down that fast
but I don't know it's hard to tell it's
such a tiny little piece I don't know
how durable this is going to be let's
let's try out the pressure sensitivity
on this so it's it's pretty good
actually it's not I was expecting it to
not work that well but like look how
fine of that texture I can get can you
can you see and then I can push harder
this is a surprising one so these are
the six Fu with the rubber tips te tetin
Tana rubber tips all right let's let's
try the Ein einor so we got lots of
options here I'm skeptical if I'm being
honest so let's just get these first
ones out of the way I bet these are
exactly the same as the other ones we've
tried me go back to my retro spco
classic anchor
yeah it this is this is the same all of
these like ones that just cck apple
pencil tips are pretty much the same but
I forgot we do have the ones here that
are supposed to be different hardnesses
so we'll have to try those out after
okay so we are going here with the
lowest profile metal tip where they
claim different brush sizes in the image
which we we know is not
true okay this this feels fine I was
expecting it to feel gross I once tried
someone's Apple pencil that had like a
really sharp one on it and it was it
felt terrible can get scratchy I think I
think it's like the angle because it's
so small maybe sometimes I'm yeah okay
so this is an issue with this one
because the metal tip is so low profile
you can easily like well it's not
happening now but before it was like
missing the tip and it wasn't working
listen I can't demonstrate it right now
but it happened I swear it happened
actually I think this scratched my my
screen protector get out of here I don't
like you at all so that was the smallest
lowest profile metal tip now this is
like the medium one this one feels the
same we'll draw piece of pizza okay so
this one feels better than the other one
I think because you don't have to worry
so much about hitting this Edge where it
like sits and I think that's what caught
and scratched my screen protector which
I'm not that happy about cuz this was
the cleanest install I've ever done you
can watch that in my previous video
where I review the cheapest paper like
experience on
uh Amazon this screen protector is the
ktc paper feel and it was $8 for a two
pack when I bought it okay this feels
pretty good let's um let's just do a
quick pressure pressure run with this
color fill brush Let's uh let's change
up to color this time let's make it a
purple so it's pretty good pressure
sensitivity I don't think it's any
different than the others maybe not as
good as a regular pencil tip all right
let's do this last one in this set and
this is the long ER this is the longest
metal tip I will say that this one feels
exactly like the other two I wonder if
because the tip is longer the pressure
sensitivity is not as good I would say
that's not the case it feels fine I
would say that they made three different
ones as a marketing gimmick because the
only difference is the really short one
feels terrible because you sometimes hit
the edge but then the medium one and the
large one work well I would say that if
you're someone that wears down pencil
tips quickly cuz you press hard this
could be a cheap option because uh it's
metal so it won't wear down as
fast like it sort of seems like it can
do some side action a little bit yeah
it's fine so that was the inore and now
we've got this pack here by peelink that
has some different hardnesses to emulate
pencils which again the pencil tip
itself is not what does that it's the
brush settings I'm going to eventually
open this so let's try the 2B the 2B
from initial Impressions seems like the
same as any of the other generic
ones it actually doesn't it has rubber
Vibes it feels closer to the little tiny
rubber tip one from the six Fu set I
guess it's maybe like softer material
this is kind of cool pressure
sensitivity seems
fine for what I do we could try it with
the color fill
brush yeah I
mean there's like a mild disconnect
maybe but I think it's just cuz I'm not
expecting this rubber feel at the end of
this tip be curious how it'll hold up
but the fact that it's like squishy
makes me think that it wouldn't wear it
down as fast because it's not hard yeah
I'm uh I'm surprised by this one let's
um try out a different one so again this
was the 2B let's try the HB I'm not
going to lie to you and tell you that I
remember from Art School the difference
between these pencils cuz I haven't
worked with traditional materials
seriously in a in a very long time
okay okay so this one the HB which I'm
remembering now I believe is hard feels
like a regular apple pencil tip maybe I
need a uh I need to reset I need to like
reset my you know like when you're
tasting things and you have to smell
coffee is that a thing like when you're
at a candle store what am I talking
about and you're like trying to you get
the different scents and they got like
coffee beans you got to go sniff them
that's what I'm doing with this
uh okay this is much harder I think okay
that's that now let me immediately go
back to my HP wish they look different
so I could yeah okay so this is
different it has hints of rubber it's
like if a regular apple pencil tip was
like 4% rubber which is a nice feeling I
think like it's a little bit of
resistance let's try the soft I don't
know what the middle ones are who's to
say maybe it's in between okay so the
soft one feels a little softer than the
2B it feels like those pen tips but like
in an actual apple pencil it's probably
what I think they have a new version
this is probably what it's like this is
good this is nice cuz it's got some
resistance like it's not like that
scratchy feeling all right let's try the
hard now the hard I got to imagine feels
just like the regular
ones yes so I think this is an
interesting set because these rubber
rubber ones I don't even know if it's
actually rubber but they feel kind of
good I'm surprised about this this was I
was very skeptical of these so this is a
six-pack you know I'll have links to all
of these below this is the one by Pink
that was all of them I didn't do the T
moo ones again because they feel exactly
the same as you know these uh Mo ones to
recap these Mo ones claim they have a
one-year warranty which is wild because
apple pencil tips do not last a year
unless you don't ever use them so that
could be a selling point for those the
inore ones with the metal tips on six of
them if you want the longest lasting
thing this could be an option I would
just throw away the first ones that have
the smaller metal tip because those
catch and drag the other two are fine
and then the ones without the metal tip
are just like any of the other
replacement tips the a winners felt
slightly smoother than any of the other
regular style apple pencil tips I would
be skeptical about like I don't feel
like I should say that these are
smoother than the other ones I don't
trust that this is not just you know a
manufacturing thing in this batch is a
little bit smoother I imagine that
because these all look so much the same
they're probably all made in the same
place and they're just like here's some
of this for this and this and that maybe
I don't know but in my test the a
winners were the best regular generic
ones the six Fu ones so these were
interesting these had the teeny tiny
rubber tips on them this was a two pack
they felt pretty good if you like the
feeling of like precise pen tip even
though you can control that with the
brush settings this might be for you
because it's such a small amount of
rubber on the tip and that it's kind of
separate from the rest I think it might
not be the best for full control with
your apple pencil tip I think if you
want that rubber feeling the pink ones
were the best option I need to put an
apple pencil tip on here right now I'm
going to go with the HB from the pink
set cuz I think that is the one that I
enjoyed the most so hopefully maybe this
saves you some money not having to go
out and buy the very expensive Apple
replacement tips maybe you canot worry
so much about your screen protector
ruining your tips because you know tips
are cheap now all right good talk thanks
for going on this journey with me
