Transcripts
in this video we're gonna be talking
about the top five types of grants let's
get started
[Music]
hey everyone i'm rindy from ashrending
and welcome to the number one community
for real estate income and credit so if
you'd like to know what the top five
types of grants are grants for
individuals grants that have the most
money and also rolling grants that you
can get on an ongoing basis make sure
you watch the video to the end and leave
a comment below if you need help with
anything so there are many different
types of grants on our channel we tend
to focus on private grants grants for
individuals and also grants for small
businesses so these are the top
categories for grants number one small
business grants so small business grants
are some of the largest grants that you
can actually receive and that's because
they fuel the local economy and because
of their community impact so as we saw
with the pandemic small businesses were
greatly affected because they couldn't
serve their local area so grants are
given to small businesses to stimulate
the economy and to get the businesses
revived and going and reproducing and
giving services out to the local
community so small business grants can
range from one thousand dollars to up to
one million dollars and more so an
example of a small business grant would
be the avon lake small business relief
brand so this is 150 000 grand that's
aimed at helping small businesses
restart their business and actually get
the funding that they need so the grant
applications start on november 8th and
the grants will range from 1 000 to 2
500
and the grants are being administered by
the lorraine county chamber of commerce
number two emergency assistance grants
so wildly these are some of the most
sought after and needed types of grants
and they tend to be more short-term
grants they also help with basic needs
and necessities such as hardships
emergencies family help rental
assistance mortgage assistance and much
more so a perfect example of an
emergency assistance grant would be the
elise army grant so this is a grant that
helps with emergency funding for ill
children and their families so things
such as mortgage payments rental
payments and needs and crucial needs and
emergency hardships that the families
are going through they assist with this
grant you can get more details on this
specific emergency grant by going to
their website ellie's army.org we also
have more emergency grants funding
sources and also resources in our
resource area at my website ashfindy.com
an emergency grants funding and money is
becoming more crucial to be able to
access as we see the cost of living
going up number three personal grants so
personal grants depending on the source
can be rolling grants meaning that the
grants can be ongoing you'll primarily
find personal grants locally and the
grants tend to be from hundreds of
dollars to up to about fifty thousand
dollars depending on the source so as
i've shared previously in some of our
other videos i get grants every month
from january to december and i touch on
this a little bit more in our grants
master class number four state and local
grants so these grants tend to flow
through chambers of converses
organizations and also non-profits to be
able to get to individuals and also
small businesses so a perfect example of
a local grant would be the 50 000 arts
grant in st louis so art is a non-profit
that provides equity free grants to
entrepreneurs and local businesses that
need funding and resources to be able to
help grow their businesses so they focus
on startup businesses and they actually
have a startup competition business
model where they help entrepreneurs get
access to funding where they otherwise
could not have so arch grant awarded a
fifty thousand dollar grant to flipstick
a company that appeared on shark tank
and in spite of appearing on shark tank
it was this fifty thousand dollar grant
that propelled this company for
long-term success and there are many
benefits for getting local grants and
also state grants because of the
relationships that you form when you get
these grants you tend to actually get
plugged in into the grant world in your
local area and you set yourself up for
more grants not just the one grant
you're setting yourself up for
repetitive process because you're
tapping into the local area and the
people who are actually administering
the grants and getting to know and have
access to resources local estate grants
are also some of the easiest grants to
apply for and get number five collateral
grants so collateral grants also
sometimes called match grants are some
of the best grants to be able to get
specifically when you have a business
that you're looking to try to scale so
this is a great way to be able to get
funding that can take your business and
your idea and your startup to the next
level quickly because what you're doing
is you're taking a small portion of what
you may have as collateral currently and
you're getting either a match that could
be one to three times more or you can
also get equity free funding so
collateral is a borrower's pledge of
specific property and there are many
forms of property such as digital
property intellectual property physical
property real estate and so forth so the
aap foundation recently gave a seventy
five thousand dollar grant to the
habitat for humanity for the greater
fort wayne area and the aep's grant will
cover the entire cost of building these
affordable homes to be able to help give
necessities and also access to
affordable housing for people in the
local area so as you can see collateral
grants go a long way in making an impact
in the local area and aside from the
impact that they make these grants tend
to open up doors and access to a network
where you can actually get lines of
credit for your business and much more
and leveraging collateral is one of the
best ways to be able to scale and grow
your business and also your family so
due to the top five grant types and
we're going to be sharing more in depth
about these grant types and much more in
our upcoming grants master class so i'd
