awaited and the most important video for

smart India hackathon 2024 and that is

how to make a winning PPD for getting

into the finale and before that let me

cover some of the two important points

with respect to the guidelines okay in

the previous video we would have

mentioned that every College can submit

up to 100 uh teams okay but they have

updated the guidelines which they

normally do so 25 teams plus five can

actually submit so if you can check in

in their official website itself you can

just have a look that 25 + 5 that is 25

teams directly getting short listed and

five weight listed teams okay and

another thing one team can submit two

ideas so you can work out in an easy way

where you can actually split out two

problem statements so these are with the

guidelines and now let's directly get

into the pp okay so where you can

download the PPT you can just go to the

guidelines and download this idea PP

okay I've got it downloaded already and

I have structured it in a format which

can be useful for you so I think I no

need to walk through this first page and

the last page because you will

definitely have an idea of it okay so

let's go one by one okay so the idea

title slide this is the first slide

which the evaluator is going to see and

going to get an idea of what you are

actually offering for the problem

statement so as you all know we have

covered in the entire playlist of last

year of what problem statement we did

which is basically an OTP alternative

okay so they have asked for a system the

Dr have asked for system where we can

replace OTP and create a new technology

and that's what we called as OT H and

using that basis of I created a rough

slide okay of how I would have done if

this was the scenario because this is a

completely new template comparing to all

other smart India hack accounts

previously okay so the first thing the

idea and solution so what does the idea

and solution have to

cover actually what you are solving okay

but try to keep it precise

last year when I got the evaluations and

all I saw that so many people have kept

it in a junk kind of a paragraph which

actually being an evaluator you won't

have much time to evaluate okay let me

be brutally honest so I had only one day

time to evaluate somewhere around 100

plus ideas so keep that in mind when you

pitch your deck I mean the pitch deck

the idea PPD okay so if you can see here

I would have used some words which

actually elevate my solution okay so try

to keep it into precise points so in the

idea and solution section as I already

said cover what you are solving and keep

it in a way that actually showcasing you

more powerfully rather than using common

words okay like uh we are going to do

this we are going to add this this is

how we have done try to avoid all these

words like V our and all okay so this

will create more impact okay next

problem resolution so you would have had

a second pointer which says that how you

addressing the problem so we have given

the solution here already so we already

know the problem okay how we are going

to implement this solution or how this

solution is going to actually solve the

problem so you can keep it to Max three

points okay so you can just cover what

you are doing so say what we are doing

so we have uh otps that can actually be

hacked so we are solving that problem

through this technology so we have uh

implemented that we have multiactor

authentication and that multiactor

authentication has eight layers of

security with 512 bit encryption so if

you are being a tech from a technical

background you can exactly understand

what I'm saying okay so that is the

problem resolution then comes the

important part uniqueness so you would

have had the third point in your deck

which you have seen as uniqueness if

needed let me just uh open it as well

okay just give me a minute for a

comparison for you so that you

can have an

idea okay this also the same sorry just

give me a minute

ah yeah so you would have had Innovation

and uniqueness of the solution so what

you would have added unique value

propositions it's a typical business

term that also means the same okay so

what we are doing uniquely and this is a

major evaluation criteria Point okay

this is a tip which I'm giving cuz I was

an evaluator last year okay so keep all

this in your mind try to highlight the

major keywords just like what I have

done I will share this uh PP in the

description okay for you so these three

are the major things and also so you can

see how I have structured this entire

layout okay so keep that in your mind

that it has to be neat and clean okay so

there is the first slide overv I hope

you have got what I'm coming to say for

this slide because this is the first

slide which they going to see from the

evaluator perspective next come the

technical approach so last year most of

you what mistakes you have did you have

just put technically what I'm doing C++

Java python literally you have not

covered like what this section is

actually meant for okay so it typically

means what you are going to do in your

product and which language or which base

you're going to use for that simple for

my algorithm I use nextjs as the base

okay so that's what I have put for

algorithm oh sorry for the

algorithm development what I have used

similarly for mobile application

development so try to bring it domain

wise don't use programming language wise

okay that will give an advantage because

most people what they will put last year

when people put complicated logos python

Java JavaScript they put all logos like

that and typically being an evaluator I

won't even get a meaning why you're

doing that okay so cover your domain

like the part of your product which

you're doing and get it done okay that's

easy for you next is the process flow

architecture this is very very very very

very important okay you may be actually

putting your flowchart diagram or

whatever but just keep it in your mind

that it has to be understandable for the

evaluator I have seen complicated

flowcharts where I even got stuck up

like okay what is this going to do cuz

this is something that's going to

represent your product okay you doesn't

don't need to have it very complicated

you can have it very simple okay see uh

let me just explain what is my

architecture explain you may think like

what I have put here so first thing is a

web login he's going to get into the

website he's going to enter his

credentials and when you enter his

credentials instead of getting verify

OTP you will be having called as verify

so a code will be displayed in the

screen say St 484 hash okay so once it

displayed I will take out my phone I

have to just call to that number

automatically an API structure this is

where our entire server code is which I

cannot actually explicitly say cuz we

are copyrighting it and based on that if

the status is true it gets mashed and

automatically it gets login and as we

are sending only zeros and ones as

values this can optimally work at

literally lowest Network zones which is

basically the problem statement okay so

you don't need to have it complicated as

I'm again saying okay next is the

product status okay say what I would

have done here say let's come here so

methodology and process for

implementation this is what we have

covered here okay so what add-on I would

have done like what is your

implementation theyve given a term

called as implementation right so this

is the winning PPD which we submitted

for smart 2022 so here I would have

added this showing that we are actually

doing something important this year try

to keep it below 40 or 30% don't need to

add up to 80% and all okay cuz in smart

2022 we can submit only one idea which

is not the same now okay so this covers

the technical approach section okay I

hope you are clear with both these

sections and now comes the third section

and why I have not put uh like the data

with respect to my IDE

is last year I provided a template okay

for smart India 2023 like what all you

can do and most of I won't say most of

you many of you had submitted the same

template and in my evaluation is I got

around five PPS following the template

structure which I said see what I am uh

giving the knowledge is something which

you can adapt and see how you can add to

it it's not about directly taking my

idea and putting cuz it's my perspective

and being an evaluator what I'm going to

see and last year my videos were like

being a student participant or a student

winner this year every Insight of mine

is going to be comparing both as a

student participant and being an

evaluator and I have a high chance for

going as a finale judge this year okay

I'm just giving an overview and this

things if you want to discuss its

feasibility or impact in like this whole

slide personalized we'll be having

one-on-one sessions for that okay we'll

talk about it in the end before that

let's cover this session as an overview

okay so what does feasibility and

viability mean okay so these are the key

points which they analysis of the

feasibility of the idea feasibility

means it doesn't only cover one or two

perspective so I'm giving an overview of

what you all can do okay

technical feasibility what does

technical feasibility mean can you

actually develop this

product that is a major criteria there

are many teams who got into the finals

last year and couldn't complete the

product and because of that they could

not win or they got eliminated whatever

so keep that in your mind can you

technically build it okay next is

financial stability with respect to

software uh lot of AI tools are coming

out now so you would need subscription

for that and you you have to be budget

fully friendly okay keep that in mind so

that comes under the financial

feasibility can you actually get it done

or can you actually afford it now comes

the next two important criteria which is

like uh the actual meaning of this

hackathon okay so the market feasibility

say uh let's assume that technically and

financially you are feasible you have

already built the product can you

actually commercialize this product can

you actually sell this product that is a

very very very important criteria okay

keep that in mind so that comes under

the market feasibility that is the

business model okay then comes the

operational say after you have already

deployed it in the market how are you

going to handle it it may be your

Manpower or it may be how you are going

to take it as a business model these are

all s of the major financial and

feasibility criterias okay so keep all

this in mind when you make this slide

okay so in one-onone sessions we will be

discussing it in detail okay next comes

the potential challenges and risk this

are also the same what are technical

challenges say are having some uh

language encryption kind of uh language

translation kind of thing for that you

need an API for that API you have some

dependency and directly you cannot

access it that's a challenge right so

keep that in mind Financial challenge

simply the budget issues market so if

you're going through a market you have

10 competitors and you don't have a

proper strategy for breaking them or you

need to plan more those are some of the

potential challenges and risks which you

have to keep in mind this is an over

overview I'm not saying to use this

exact terms okay these are some of the

overview for you to know what this

section actually means next strategies

for overcoming these challenges is

something which is uh like even in any

interview they would ask that what is

your weakness or how you are going to

cover that it's just like that when you

know your risk you also have to have an

solution for that how are you going to

handle these challenges and risk for

that it may be some methods it may be

some strategies it may be some algorithm

whatever simple in smart India on 20 22

in the first round Reserve we were asked

for creating a new structure of an idea

in that time we had a huge challenge but

still we coped up with the strategy it

is say we used divide and conquer

strategy if you know what divide and

conquer means simple we had a game plan

where we split each work equally for

each team member without over stressing

out them okay and that's we what we call

divide and conquer and that's what

happened in s 2020 and that's how we

beat IIT Del to become the Champions

okay so this is the feasibility and

viability section now comes the impact

and benefit so what's the potential

impact that you're creating on your uh

target audience say it may be if say

some problem statements can actually go

directly to the consumer say a problem

statement that holds for Farmers uh

related uh thing I forgot what the

problem stat I rent through most of the

problem statements so it is a b2c or it

may be some business related problem

statement so these are all some things

which you have to consider okay so being

a target audience the problem statement

they have given what use you going to

provide to them what impact you're going

to provide to them okay so it may be an

economical impact maybe a beneficial

impact say simple let me explain with my

problem statement so it is OT so it is a

new technology this can replace OTP so

what all it can happen people at low

Network zones can have access to it

button phones are enough for high level

safety authentication we can uh abrupt

OTP hacking these are all some of the

positive impact say some of the negative

impact not about our product so it may

be any product that you are building say

you going to simple again we let's come

to ai ai integration for that you have

to adopt your product so that's a

technal adoption issue the cost these

are all some of the potential impact

that you're keeping try to keep it more

towards positive if you have negative

have a game plan for how you're going to

cope it up okay next comes what are the

benefit of your solution so this is the

end part which they are coming okay say

what is your solution going to create

once you have built it what is the

impact that's going to create so it may

be an economic impact it may be an

Environ maybe social say these are all

some of the points which you have

covered okay so just keep economical

means totally is going to be boosting

about the economy cost or Market the

impact you're creating those are all

some of the major things okay keep all

of this in mind and let me tell you this

year the entire PPD SL service and

on your PPT your idea and solution you

have offered your technical feasibility

and your impact these four are the major

evaluation criterias and those four

evaluation criterias are the slides here

so keep that in mind and we have an

see when you're going for references

please please please please don't go for

local journals they won't even consider

it okay CU local journals have no

meaning it cannot be patented see simp

if you're doing for a college finally a

project colleges are forcing you to

publish a research paper no matter you

have actually done it or not okay so

these two are some of the world's best

journals okay so uh LC and science

direct have a look of them and you can

get a clear idea okay and this is all

about the SI idea submission PP okay and

now comes to the end surprise part which

we have said okay so uh we have covered

most of everything that uh we can do in

this entire video now in the last video

we have talked something called as

one-on-one mentorship okay and we had

you can select the problem statement how

you have to form your team what is the

evaluation criteria the plans and

strategies for building a good uh road

would evaluate with all the evaluation
