are diagrams but they are a little bit
different so systems diagrams
show how computer systems connect
together and by computer system
i mean something like this
we need components but do the following
to have a functioning computer system
we've got some input devices we've got
some processing going on we've got some
output devices
and we have storage as well so for
example in a computer you've got a
keyboard you've got a mouse i'm talking
to a microphone right now those input
devices a process will be something like
the cpu or a graphics card and an output
would be something like a monitor or a
speaker
storage would be your hard drive
and
so on so
we need those components that's what we
mean by a computer system
now to show you an example system
diagram these don't really have
set symbols like some of the other ones
we've looked at do
let's say you've got a data center where
lots of servers are located maybe for
cloud storage and this system diagram is
showing the security system of a data
center so
where you might show this is just what
are the devices used in this system and
in a simple way you're going to show
them as
rectangles
and
arrows should be used to connect up
these devices now
if you've got input and output devices
the arrows should have directions so a
monitor is an output device so when it's
plugged into the header security's
computer the arrow should go from their
computer to the monitor

and so should go in to the computer not

connect some different devices involved

are i think sensible the sort of things
