Q & A
What is the main message of the transcript regarding Dua (prayer)?
-The main message is that when making Dua, one should trust that Allah has already inspired the prayer, and thus it will be answered. It's important to avoid limiting beliefs, self-doubt, or victim mentality. Instead, a person should focus on self-improvement and becoming worthy of the blessing they seek.
Why does the speaker emphasize taking ownership and responsibility when making Dua?
-The speaker emphasizes taking ownership because often people block themselves from receiving blessings by having negative thoughts or limiting beliefs. By taking responsibility, one can grow and align their internal state with the blessings they seek from Allah.
How does the speaker view hardships and struggles in life?
-The speaker views hardships and struggles as opportunities for growth and self-improvement. These challenges are seen as part of Allah’s plan to help a person become worthy of the blessings they are asking for.
What does the speaker mean by saying 'Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves'?
-This means that personal growth and internal change are prerequisites for external blessings and improvements. One must work on their own mindset and behavior to align themselves with what they are asking for in their prayers.
Why is the mind considered so important in this context?
-The mind is crucial because it controls thoughts, actions, and ultimately reality. Negative thinking or limiting beliefs can keep a person stuck in a cycle, while positive, proactive thinking can help them achieve their goals and receive what they ask for in Dua.
How should one approach negative influences or limiting beliefs from people around them?
-One should be mindful of the company they keep, as the beliefs and energy of others can influence their own mindset. The speaker suggests surrounding oneself with people who have broken through limiting beliefs and are on a higher level in terms of success or personal growth.
What is the speaker's advice regarding self-talk and how it impacts one's Dua?
-The speaker advises changing self-talk from negative or doubtful statements to affirmations that trust in Allah’s help. For example, instead of saying 'Please give me this,' one should say 'I will achieve this with your help, Allah.' This shifts the mindset to one of confidence and trust.
Why is consistency in making Dua emphasized?
-Consistency is important because it builds trust in the process and in Allah's timing. The speaker notes that even if one doesn't see immediate results, persistent Dua is like an arrow that never misses its target. It's crucial to stay committed and not lose hope.
What role does gratitude play in receiving blessings?
-Gratitude is essential because it shifts one's perspective to see challenges and hardships as part of the path to growth and success. By being grateful for every situation, a person opens themselves up to receiving more blessings from Allah.
How can one break free from limiting beliefs and achieve their goals according to the speaker?
-To break free from limiting beliefs, one needs to change their mindset, take consistent action, and surround themselves with positive influences. Reaffirming belief in Allah’s support, being mindful of thoughts, and trusting the process are key steps to achieving one's goals.
Outlines
🙏 Trusting in Allah's Plan
The speaker emphasizes the importance of trusting in Allah's wisdom and timing when it comes to answered prayers. He explains that Allah inspires us to make Dua and wants good for us, but we often block ourselves with limiting beliefs. The speaker urges listeners not to play the victim or think that their desires are not meant for them. If Allah inspired you to make a Dua, it means that the answer is already written, but it depends on whether you're worthy of receiving it. Therefore, instead of giving up, one should reflect on what changes need to be made to become deserving of Allah's blessings.
🌱 The Power of Change from Within
This paragraph discusses the importance of personal growth and internal change in order to receive Allah's blessings. The speaker refers to the Quranic verse that Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves. Hardship and tests are a way for Allah to help us grow and become worthy of what we seek. Personal responsibility is key, and external challenges are often a pathway to internal transformation. The speaker shares personal struggles with addiction and explains how mental clarity is essential for growth and achieving one's goals.
🧠 The Power of the Mind and Environment
Here, the speaker emphasizes the role of the mind in shaping one's reality. He discusses how negative thinking can trap individuals in a loop of unproductive behavior, blocking them from achieving their goals. The company one keeps is crucial as it influences mindset and behavior. The speaker reflects on his own experience with negative thinking and how he realized the importance of mental discipline. By being mindful of one's thoughts and environment, a person can break limiting patterns and progress in life.
🔄 Breaking Free from Negative Cycles
The speaker shares personal insights on how cycles of addiction, negative thinking, and failure to act with gratitude can block someone from overcoming challenges. He explains that urges and hardships are not setbacks but opportunities Allah provides to help individuals grow. Relapsing or giving up is seen as a form of ingratitude. The speaker stresses that being grateful for these challenges and facing them head-on is the way to break free from such cycles and ultimately attain the blessings that Allah has prepared for them.
💡 Shifting the Mindset for Success
This final paragraph focuses on the importance of changing one's mindset from passive to proactive. The speaker explains that instead of simply asking for blessings from Allah, one should affirm their capability to achieve those goals with Allah's help. This shift in mindset changes not only the individual's approach to their goals but also their actions and ultimately their reality. The speaker also highlights the importance of surrounding oneself with successful and positive individuals who have overcome limiting beliefs, as this will help elevate one's own mindset and actions.

Transcripts
and surely your Lord will give so much
to you that you will be pleased it means
you're not worthy yet make you get lost
in the Dy are you worthy to receive that
blessing Allah wants to give you these
things Allah wants good for you have the
Trust In Allah that if he inspired you
that that Dua is going to be answered
come to that understanding Allah already
knows and take full ownership and
responsibility instead of saying oh well
maybe it's just not meant for me no no
no bro throw that away something that
took a very long time for me to realize
is that we are the ones that are
blocking
ourselves we make Dua to Allah asking
for something
specific we're the ones that block
ourselves not some external
event not this person not the
opportunities that are available to
us
we right don't play the victim don't say
ah it's not happening oh maybe maybe
it's just not meant for
me that's the worst thing you could say
bro maybe it's just not meant for
me how would you know if it's not meant
for you that's the real
question only Allah knows so why would
you even say something like that oh it's
not meant for me do you realize what
you're doing right there for yourself
you are limiting
yourself bro who made you make the
Dua so if Allah made you make the Dua he
inspired
you what makes you think that that
Dua is not meant for
you do you see how it doesn't make sense
it doesn't
align a lot of times you
have many scholars or many brothers who
they mean well Allah bless them but they
say the reality of Dua were you either
have it accepted right now accept it
later or accepted in
Jenna and so a lot of people will fall
into this trap myself
included where something's not working
for us so we think automatically
that's just not meant for
me maybe it's just something that Allah
just is not willing for
me let me break it down for you bro let
me break it down for
you you're asking Allah for something
let's say you're asking Allah for money
and Allah is restricting you he's not
letting you have the money have you ever
stopped to ask the
question if you were worthy enough to
receive that blessing from
Allah are you worthy of having all this
money what would all that money do to
you what would you do with that
money have you stopped and asked the
question I mean
superficially we all might say oh yeah I
would give more in sodaka or I would do
this or I would do that would you really
though because Allah is restricting you
for a
reason it means you're not worthy yet it
means that if he gives it to you it's
only going to give not give but it's
only going to bring about your
destruction it's only going to bring you
further away from him make you get lost
in the Dy so again are you worthy to
receive that blessing and if you're not
if you can stop playing the victim card
and take full ownership and
responsibility instead of saying oh well
maybe it's just not meant for me no no
no bro throw that away throw that away
Allah inspired you to make the
Dua have the
have the Trust In Allah that if he
inspired you to make that Dua that that
Dua is going to be answered so from here
look at your situation and then see for
yourself am I actually worthy of that
and if I'm not then what needs to be
changed and guess what before you might
even come to that understanding Allah
already knows what needs to be
changed it's like the Ayah that I
mentioned in the beginning Allah wanted
wants to give you these things Allah
wants good for you he wants you to
succeed he wants the best for
you so what is he going to give you in
order to
facilitate
this well it's very
simple if you are not the person that is
worthy of that blessing well then Allah
will put the things in your life that
will allow you to grow on an internal
level
so that way you can become worthy of
this blessing and that's where it
literally goes to the Ayah where Allah
says that he will not change the
condition of a people until they change
what is within
themselves that's in G bro Allah
puts
tests suffering pain
hardship and even ease he puts all this
in your life
so that way you can get what you asked
for you literally asked for this
whatever you're going through whatever
pain whatever suffering you literally
asked Allah for this that is how you
will change and that is how Allah will
see that you are now worthy and then he
will give you what you ask for does it
make sense bro
and before I was
Muslim I had a big problem with lust
alhamdulillah that Allah has allowed me
to get over
this but I had a severe addiction now
when I had this
problem I remember I wanted to
quit I remember I wanted to do a lot of
things with my life and move forward and
do these
for example I wanted to uh travel at the
time I wanted to build my body up more I
wanted to have more money I wanted
to uh start a YouTube channel I wanted
to do so many
things but for the first year when I was
addicted I kept going
back nothing happened in my
life there was no growth one year passed
I was in the the same exact
place now one could argue always because
you were a Muslim that's why Allah
wasn't blessing you that's not true
because there's a lot of
non-muslims that have way
more in terms of D than actual Muslims
so that's not the case right the case
was is that I would keep relapsing I
would keep falling back and when I would
fall back
the biggest thing that would happen is
that it would affect my
mind the way that I think now you have
to understand that the way that you
think
controls your actions and your actions
controls your
reality so if my mind was constantly
being affected by this constantly being
in a state of disease
then it only makes sense that I wasn't
going to progress I was going to stay
stuck in the same thing especially when
my mind kept thinking about the same
things one year later my mind's still
thinking about the same
things that's a time of my
life where I realized the power of the
mind and it's crazy
because I know I wasn't Muslim at the
time and what made me just kind of start
waking up to it just
sign this Allah is the most
subtle I was listening to the song by
Drake and I'm not endorsing music or
anything like that or encouraging it but
I was listening to the song by Drake and
he said the power of the mind is not a
joke and of course it's just a lyric and
a song
but I remember hearing that and I was
just sitting back and I repeated it
several times like the power of the mind
is not a
joke and then it just hit me it hit me
like
them me constantly relapsing has kept my
mind in this Lower
State therefore it's kept me receiving
the same exact
things now fast forward to now being
Muslim I understand more
alhamdulillah but still
although the game has
changed the players remain the same or
maybe that's not even applicable to what
we're talking about but what I'm trying
to say is that even though I'm Muslim
now what Allah was showing me in that
time it still applies right
now right our minds are very very
important if we are not constantly
keeping track of our mind and what's
going on in our
mind we're going to
repeat patterns of behavior we're going
to repeat Loops in our lives and we're
never going to grow we're never going to
change we're never going to receive what
it is that we are asking Allah for so
you have to be attentive you have to be
very Mindful and aware of what's going
on inside your mind how do you speak to
yourself what are you thinking about you
have to program yourself because if you
you don't program
yourself then you will be programmed by
everything that you are consuming on
social
media even the conversations that you
have with people you have to realize
that the mind the way that we think is
like a
virus it
infects whoever is around us it infects
our way of being our life
everything that is within our life life
is influenced infected by the
mind so if you have people around you
that are
negative what do you think is going to
happen to you if you have people around
you who are
successful what do you think is going to
happen to you I mean clearly the prophet
Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam he
already said this he said that it's
better to be alone than to be in bad
company but it's better to be in good
company than it is to be alone but then
you ask the question what is is a good
company right cuz a lot of times we
might think oh it's
a it's no Pious Muslims practicing
Muslims yes this I'm not going to lie
that's good
company but go deeper than that look at
the Dua that you're asking for look at
the direction that you're trying to take
your
life you could have several Brothers in
your life who all btic the very pricing
and trying to get as close to Allah as
possible
but they may have certain limiting
mental beliefs as well and that doesn't
mean that they're any less it doesn't
mean that you're better than them it
doesn't mean that that you shouldn't be
talking with these brothers or
interacting with
them it's just to
say that those limiting beliefs that
they
have you will not
have so although they're practicing
although they're getting close to Allah
Allah
the liing beliefs that they have you
will start to adopt so this is why you
have to be very mindful over the people
that are around in your life the energy
which you are involving yourself
with and more importantly your own
energy your own mind how do you think on
a day-to-day basis are you do you have
thoughts where you're putting yourself
down like imagine I'm over here asking
Allah
to
uh I don't want to reveal my own
situation or anything
so let's say let's say you have a
brother who wants to get married right
I'm married alhamdulillah so it's not me
but let's say you have a brother who
wants to get
married and he's asking a to make it
easy to to find a wife and have the
proper woman in his
life imagine he's going to the day and
when he thinks to
himself he has these thoughts of oh I'm
never going to get a woman oh women
aren't
even that good imagine he starts talking
to different Muslim like going to meet
them Hal of
course and as he's meeting them it's
just not working so his way of thinking
his perception his belief starts to get
more negative more pessimistic more
cynical
if that's the case that's going to keep
him locked in right because the reality
is that everything that's happening
whether it's good or bad is a blessing
from
Allah it's literally the doorway like I
said you asked for this so whatever
you're going through it's literally the
doorway in order to get what it is that
you ask
for so if you are pessimistic if you are
synical cool you're not going to go
through the door something bad is going
to happen and you're going to be
like I knew this would happen these
things always happen it's just not meant
for me I guess right now it's just not
meant for me to get married do you see
what I'm saying
bro like you can't think this way and I
say this to brothers who I help with
overcoming
lust you should be grateful when Allah G
gives you an
urge and it sounds sick to you and say
that but you ask to be free from the
addiction so you should be grateful when
Allah puts an urge in your life because
that is the doorway for you to reach
that freedom you just have to get past
it you have to go through the door and
the only way I is through but if you
stay stuck in your
head if an urge comes and you're saying
oh I don't know why I'm having this urge
I don't want I don't want to think about
this or and then you ultimately end up
going and
relapsing what you did was you gave up
what you did was you were
ungrateful because Allah gave you
exactly what you asked for exactly what
you needed in order for you to change on
an internal level so that way he could
remove this sickness from your
life but instead of being grateful for
it and going
through you became ungrateful and you
gave up so do you see how you are
blocking yourself in that
situation Allah says that what if you're
are grateful he will increase you but
you if you are ungrateful then know that
his punishment is severe know
that essentially what that means is
like bro the entire d is going to
destroy you it's going to seem like
everything in this
world is happening against you instead
of for you when you are grateful
everything is happening for you that's
your perception when you are ungrateful
everything is happening against you
that's your
perception right so the power of the
Mind something that is very very very
important and you have to understand
that if that is the case if everything
that we said is 100% it it's the
truth
reality your reality that you are
experiencing you can bend it to your
will it's why Allah gave us free will to
begin with we have the ability to make
these choices our
choices influence our reality it will
dictate how this
experience plays out it's already been
written Allah has already written it so
don't think that I'm saying oh world
you're creating our
reality we are choosing our reality and
as a result we are bending reality to
our
will if you want to be free from any
lust or any problems that you might have
if you want to have success in this life
and the next if you want to be married
if you want to have good
health you can do
that it's all in your capability and I
tie it all together in a simple
actionable way number one pray
the Do Not
underestimate the power of the I know
what your mind is thinking I know that
it's difficult I know you
trust it's one of those things that you
need to stay consistent with it in order
to see the effect for yourself there's a
reason bro there's a reason why they say
that theud is like an arrow that never
misses it's Target there's a reason for
that you have to do it you have to stay
consistent if it's important for you the
thing that you're making Dua
for you'll
pray if not you'll make an excuse right
so breay
the don't be that guy don't be that guy
that makes the excuse number two so
changing the way that you speak to
yourself
especially in the prayer when you're
speaking with Allah during s when you're
making Dua you see before when I would
be making Dua and i' be in
S I
would be saying ya please grant me this
or please make it easy or please uh give
me money or please give me success here
please give me this
opportunity this is coming from a a very
low
place and I get you know we we go to
Allah for everything we always ask Allah
for
help I'm not saying not to right I'm not
saying not to ask for Allah for
forgiveness try to listen to what I'm
saying when I would make Dua and I would
say it like that
I started to switch it
up and
instead I
would say
yah I'm going to make this money with
your
help Ya Allah I am going to get past
this
hardship with your
help that changes everything bro that
changes everything everything it changes
the way you approach things your beliefs
it changes the way that you think and
therefore it changes your actions and
therefore it changes your
reality it changes
everything so do not sleep on
that and when you're outside the
prayer pay attention change the way that
you speak to yourself if you're putting
yourself down if you're being cynical if
you're being negative change that up
don't do that that's not beneficial for
you right the third thing is you have to
take action right it's
called two differences or a main
difference is two different things the
is where you tie your Cel and you trust
in
Allah is where you're essentially just
or you trust in Allah but you're not
tying your Cel you're not doing anything
you're just sitting around and hoping
that things
happen it's not how things work you have
to put in action number
four is that you need to constantly
reaffirm this belief this trust that you
have in Allah this T
because if you don't then it's not going
to happen know in I believe it's
in Allah says that I am as my servant
thinks of me so if you think good if you
think I'm good then I'm going to be good
to you if you think I'm bad I'm going to
punish you and all then that's what he's
going to do so if that's the case then
that also means that if you believe that
Allah is going to give you what you ask
for then he will give you what you ask
for and remember we go back to the
beginning Allah inspired you to make
that Dua which means that it is already
answered it's just a question of when
when will you receive it and that all
depends on when will you get out of your
own way when will you start blocking
yourself when will you be grateful for
the challenges the hardships the
struggles the pain the
suffering and go through the door which
Allah is presenting towards
you and then the last thing is being
mindful right keeping in track of what's
in your mind just said this you know the
way that you're speaking to yourself
but also keeping track of the minds
around
you ensure that the people that you
are talking with they don't have
limiting beliefs doesn't matter how
practicing they are Allah bless them if
they are but ensure that the people that
you are spending time with are on a
higher level than you that they
are you know they still have to be
practicing of course course you want
that in your life it's very very
beneficial because it it keeps minding
you to come close to Allah which will in
turn just make all this work even more
but again you you need to have people in
your life that have already achieved
certain things because what that does it
doesn't Elevate them doesn't make them
better than you but it just means that
they don't have that limiting belief
they broke that limiting
belief right if you have this guy who
has become a millionaire that that
didn't just happen by
luck he had to go through a lot of pain
and suffering a lot of
learning
testing
before he understood what worked before
he changed before he got out of his own
way and allowed Allah to bless
him right so this person just from that
that's already a clear indicator that
they've already broken that limited
belief maybe they might have other Lim
beliefs no one's perfect right but you
have to look at the Dua that you're
asking for and then you have to ask
yourself the question the people around
you right
now do they agid you in that or
not if they
don't just spend more time by yourself
spend more time with Allah spend more
time taking action right doesn't mean
that you're better than these people
doesn't mean that you can't talk to them
ever again it just
means you need to take care of your mind
