educational community did not link

many students used to drop out of school
this is a major social and economic
sustainability issue if I'm not able to
relate to what the teacher is trying to
tell in the class why would I sit in
that class of what use is that education
to me so therefore it's important that
the educator uses a variety of teaching
techniques to meet the learning needs of
pupils this can at once address equity

use in the educational institution can

especially when we go to teach in the
rural areas in the rural parts of the

to all these it is up to the individual
educator to see what fits and works best
in that particular locality or area and

cultural roles of boys and girls should
be born in mind when there is a group
work not all would expect you know
intermingling that may not be acceptable
so we have to keep we have to respect
the cultural ethos of this country but
we should also see that we give access
to educational resources which should be
equal for both the boys and girls what
about ESD pedagogies pedagogies
associated with ESD they stimulate
pupils to ask questions analyze think
critically make decisions students are
not passive consumers all these things
are happening in their mind if we use
such pedagogies so these pedagogies that
is the ESD pedagogies move from teacher
centered to student centered lessons it
moves from wrote memorization there is
no recall we don't emphasize or we don't
subscribe to root memorization it is
going to be only participatory learning

problem or issue based because people
living on the high up on the mountains
that could be entirely different people
living in the plains the issues may be
totally different people living in urban
towns and cities there is overpopulation
so there are different kinds of problems
there so we need to encourage critical
thinking allow the students to critique
what they are hearing and analyze and
all in the local context so you see as
Educators how you have to adapt the
content that is given to you we must
involve our students in discussion a
vibrant class is what it is that we need
to look forward to not a class that is
as quiet as a graveyard we need to allow
the students to analyze and apply values
we can draw upon the art s using drama
play music design thinking drawing we
could do anything to stimulate the
creativity and help the students imagine
alternative Futures and today there is
various avenues for one's creativity in
a particular place in Pune The Welfare
Society which is going around spreading
the message of Waste Management very
very innovatively started putting the
lyrics instead of kajar they started
doing Kar
Kar Gila KRA and they made it as a song
exactly to the tune of kajar and they
would go around and spread this message
so these are very very innovative ways
by which people are able to bring in and
innovate in their own spheres which as
teachers I'm sure we can also do so we
need to work towards a positive change
and help the Learners develop a sense of
social justice and selfefficacy as
community members
