play00:13

let you know that this webinar will be

play00:15

recorded apart from the last uh part

play00:18

which is the Q&A session hi everyone

play00:21

warm welcome also from my side my name

play00:23

play00:25

play00:27

European investment fund very happy to

play00:30

be with you today to tell you about our

play00:32

new early career program and before we

play00:35

start just a few words about what you

play00:37

can expect from this webinar today so

play00:39

our chief executive Mar foad will kick

play00:41

up the webinar with a brief introduction

play00:44

after that we're going to have a

play00:46

conversation with Miguel Our Guest here

play00:47

today uh after this an will tell you

play00:50

some more details about the program and

play00:52

in the end we'll leave some time for

play00:54

your

play00:55

questions but first things first um

play00:57

maret the floor is yours thanks a lot hi

play01:00

everybody and welcome to this uh webinar

play01:02

I am indeed Mario I am from Finland and

play01:05

when I studied my career or when I

play01:07

studied 40 years ago I would never have

play01:11

you know expected that I would end up

play01:13

here in Luxembourg in the European

play01:16

investment fund I had totally different

play01:18

plans and I suppose many of you have

play01:20

many different plans that's why I will

play01:22

explain a bit about I will talk a bit

play01:24

about European union and then I will

play01:27

talk a bit about the European investment

play01:29

f fund you know European Union might be

play01:32

something very abstract for you and its

play01:35

institutions may be very abstract to you

play01:38

but let me use one example which can be

play01:40

close to your heart which is about

play01:42

education and study studying you know

play01:45

there's a European Union uh policy on

play01:48

education where we the policy tries to

play01:51

make the the the education in different

play01:55

member states more inclusive and more

play01:56

aligned and there are certain targets

play01:58

that the member state States uh should

play02:00

be um achieving and when the European

play02:03

commission makes proposals like budget

play02:06

based proposals like the Erasmus program

play02:09

then this program is approved and the

play02:11

budget of it is approved by the European

play02:14

Parliament and by the European Council

play02:16

and why what is then our role the

play02:19

European investment fund well we are not

play02:22

a body which is managing grants or

play02:26

subsidies we are a European uh Union

play02:29

body which is a financial arm of the

play02:32

European Union we are providing

play02:34

financing to SNES and not only that we

play02:37

are all also providing financing to

play02:40

students through student loans in

play02:42

certain countries for example so when

play02:44

you think about the European Union the

play02:46

European commission making a proposal

play02:49

for a policy action like Erasmus program

play02:52

then you have the Parliament and Council

play02:54

approving this uh proposal it's

play02:56

implemented by an agency of the European

play02:59

Union and then in the end we e if we can

play03:03

complement this action through the

play03:05

financing that we have a available for

play03:07

students but to be honest this is only a

play03:10

very small part of our business the

play03:13

biggest part of the business what we do

play03:15

we are providing Venture Capital

play03:18

financing and we are providing

play03:20

guarantees to Banks this is in very

play03:23

simple terms uh what we do now why would

play03:27

you come to work for us

play03:31

well European investment fund has 700

play03:36

people for all all over the world for

play03:38

example me from Finland Anna is from

play03:41

France Catia Portugal you see and here

play03:44

we are sitting together and working

play03:46

towards a common goal and this is

play03:48

exactly what is interesting in the eif

play03:51

you can work in different areas from

play03:53

legal from risk management compliance

play03:56

management HR communication

play04:00

or become operational in the operational

play04:02

teams and what you see here is how the

play04:06

European Union can bring value and how

play04:08

we in the European investment fund we

play04:10

can provide impact through the financing

play04:13

what we do you know there are something

play04:15

like 24 million smmes in the European

play04:19

Union and there are several millions in

play04:21

our portfolio who we have been able to

play04:24

support either for example through

play04:26

programs guarantee programs which help

play04:29

them to provide less collateral uh to

play04:32

the bank or have a longer maturity or

play04:36

even have a better interest rates so

play04:39

what we are doing we do the good we are

play04:43

trying to help the and facilitate the

play04:45

life of the small and mediumsized

play04:48

Enterprises in the European Union and

play04:50

also abroad from time to time like

play04:53

Ukraine you will hear soon from Ukraine

play04:55

what the E is doing there and the last

play04:59

word Luxembourg is really great place to

play05:04

live thanks a lot for your

play05:07

attention thank you thank you very much

play05:10

thank you very much Mar for the for the

play05:13

introduction good let's now move to the

play05:16

second part of our webinar uh for this

play05:20

purpose we have invited U Miguel to to

play05:22

join us today uh as we thought it would

play05:24

be super interesting for you to hear

play05:26

about his experience as he joined the E

play05:30

several years ago through a similar

play05:33

initiative as the ECP Mari do you want

play05:36

to kick it off with the first question

play05:38

yes indeed so Miguel please tell us a

play05:40

bit about your path at how did it all

play05:43

start and where are you now thanks a lot

play05:46

hello

play05:47

everyone H I was studying economics I

play05:51

did my bachelor and my master in

play05:53

economics and actually finals was not

play05:56

the main theme of my studies but I

play06:00

really wanted to contribute to the

play06:02

European project and to work for the

play06:04

European Union I started looking at

play06:06

internships in several European

play06:08

institutions and got this amazing

play06:11

opportunity that was slightly outside

play06:13

the scope of of my studies because it

play06:16

combined Finance with it the internship

play06:21

that that I applied to at the beginning

play06:23

was on data analytics and the project

play06:26

was quite interesting it was to gather

play06:28

all the data about the European smmes

play06:31

and startups that YF was sponsoring at

play06:33

the time uh through its Venture Capital

play06:35

funds mostly uh and to identify them in

play06:39

public databases in order to attract

play06:41

information and to to combine the

play06:43

information that we had in our systems

play06:45

with public available information uh for

play06:48

what to measure the impact that we

play06:50

wanted to have uh and we were already

play06:53

having but to measure this uh in the

play06:56

real

play06:58

ecosystems I I was supposed to say only

play07:00

for a couple of months uh the pro the

play07:03

intership was I believe five months long

play07:06

uh and I thought I would be soon back

play07:08

home and to continue my career that

play07:11

actually reality proved me completely

play07:13

wrong I I stayed here for 10 years and

play07:16

I'm quite excited um the the opportunity

play07:20

that appeared after was to join as you

play07:21

mentioned uh a graduate program that

play07:24

existed at the time uh similar to to

play07:27

this one and uh to work at the time at

play07:31

uh reporting uh it was to prepare the

play07:34

investor reports for Funda funds for

play07:37

that were investment programs basically

play07:40

um operating in the Venture Capital

play07:43

markets but more focused on national uh

play07:46

programs um alongside investors and

play07:50

governments so I had this this chance I

play07:53

stayed for I lot learned a lot about

play07:55

private Equity Venture Capital Concepts

play07:57

that my studies were not

play08:00

um by this level of information and

play08:05

um later on there was this chance to

play08:08

apply to another position at the

play08:11

fundraising team the fundraising team is

play08:14

the one that is in contact with

play08:16

investors um most most of them

play08:18

governments uh and development banks in

play08:21

each one of the member states to

play08:23

convince them that eif has something to

play08:26

offer and to help them building their

play08:28

own V capital and private Equity

play08:31

ecosystems um and I stayed there for a

play08:35

few years until until now mostly focused

play08:37

on Iberia um and managed to to

play08:41

contribute to this greater impact that

play08:44

the if is

play08:46

delivering great thanks thanks a lot for

play08:49

for sharing Miguel um by the way guys if

play08:52

you do have any questions for Miguel uh

play08:54

keep in mind that we have the Q&A

play08:56

session at the end of the presentation

play08:58

or exactly that that

play09:01

purpose so again we hear a lot um about

play09:05

working for a purpose here at CF can you

play09:09

share with us in your personal

play09:11

experience what does it mean for for you

play09:14

to work for a purpose

play09:16

at we have to keep in mind that our main

play09:19

shareholder is the European Union and is

play09:23

a financial institution we are in the

play09:26

end an asset manager of the European

play09:28

Union but

play09:30

it's we don't work like a typical asset

play09:34

manager normally you would expect the

play09:36

board to be solely and only concerned

play09:40

about our financial returns this is not

play09:42

the only concern of our

play09:45

shareholders um we are aiming at

play09:48

generating impact real impact in several

play09:51

areas that are priorities policy areas

play09:53

for the European Union

play09:55

namely Innovation

play09:58

competitiveness social

play10:00

diversity uh climate action obviously

play10:03

and also cohesion so that we can make a

play10:06

an impact not only in the strongest

play10:08

countries and the strongest Economist

play10:10

but a bit all over Europe and there are

play10:14

not so many

play10:16

institutions uh that combine this

play10:18

private side the opportunity to work in

play10:21

finance which most of us uh learn to

play10:25

like uh with the other passion that many

play10:28

of us have that is public

play10:31

policy combining this is is in a way

play10:34

contributing to the greater good if our

play10:36

shareholder is the European Union they

play10:38

are expecting us to deliver on those uh

play10:43

Society goals that that I

play10:47

mentioned and the contribution to the

play10:49

greater good goes in a way it's uh

play10:54

giving back to our countries right um

play10:57

and I didn't find many institutions who

play11:00

give us uh this

play11:02

opportunity the good thing of the

play11:05

if it's a relatively small institution

play11:07

compared to to others and it works

play11:10

almost as a it has a lot of this startup

play11:13

Spirit uh we get to know very easily

play11:17

many colleagues uh the managers are

play11:20

quite engaging and give us a lot of

play11:22

support um so each individual obviously

play11:27

is part of a much bigger machine uh but

play11:30

we know that our small contribution

play11:33

every day uh makes an overall impact and

play11:37

we can see it uh we can see the

play11:39

entrepreneurs that get financed

play11:41

somewhere in Europe uh the people who

play11:44

have dreams and get these dreams funded

play11:47

uh because there was a program that some

play11:49

colleague developed out of luxg uh this

play11:52

this reach is not always visible in many

play11:55

institutions and here we really know the

play11:57

stories we know the people we support

play11:58

and that's great

play12:00

yeah sounds

play12:01

great thank you thank you Miguel um what

play12:05

would be the most memorable event in

play12:07

your career at the so far what's what

play12:10

comes to your mind that that was the

play12:13

first investment program that that I

play12:15

raised in my home country and it was a a

play12:20

really great experience because I never

play12:23

thought like Mar was saying I never

play12:25

thought to be to be here and to be in

play12:27

that position and mostly so so soon in

play12:30

my career the I I remember when I joined

play12:34

as a graduate we were meeting with the

play12:38

team so normal development business

play12:41

development meetings to think where

play12:43

should be focused our activity this year

play12:46

and because in Portugal the private

play12:48

equity and Venture Capital activity was

play12:50

not so strong for a a couple of years

play12:53

and we didn't develop many initiatives

play12:55

there uh for for about 10 years I I

play12:58

raised my hand I said what if we come up

play13:02

with this initiative Venture Capital

play13:05

program significantly size a large

play13:09

one and my my colleagues at the time

play13:13

some of them got excited but there were

play13:16

also some people skeptical about it

play13:18

right it's normal I was the youngest

play13:20

member of the team uh we didn't have

play13:22

much activity much traction in that

play13:24

country uh so some of them looked at me

play13:28

and well let let's see what you can do

play13:31

with the support of more senior members

play13:33

of the team uh the great support of my

play13:36

managers uh who believed in

play13:39

me I managed to create this opportunity

play13:44

it's not really for or or for myself or

play13:46

for our team at the end the I think six

play13:50

months later the the program was signed

play13:52

uh it was on the ground it selected

play13:54

Venture Capital teams and right now

play13:58

those teams are already invested in 50

play14:00

startups but there are entrepreneurs

play14:03

that got funded because we had that idea

play14:05

at the time and it was not only my job

play14:07

it was not only my contribution there

play14:09

was a full team working for this and for

play14:13

a small country like the one I know

play14:15

best a small initiative or an initiative

play14:19

like this makes a whole difference the

play14:21

number of jobs that it creates the

play14:23

talent that it retains or

play14:26

attracts I think this was and getting it

play14:29

signed and seeing it today the results

play14:33

and the

play14:34

impact that's probably the most

play14:36

memorable

play14:38

defense wow yeah that sounds uh that

play14:40

sounds really really impressive thank

play14:42

you thank you for sharing again um now

play14:45

let's um Talk a bit about Luxembourg so

play14:49

uh most of our audience today is uh

play14:52

probably not located in Luxembourg but

play14:54

really all over Europe uh and uh so we

play14:58

would be uh

play14:59

very curious to to hear Miguel uh what

play15:02

is your view on on Luxemburg how do you

play15:05

enjoy your life uh here in

play15:08

Luxembourg well marot said it I also

play15:11

like it very much there is this myth

play15:13

that Luxembourg is

play15:17

small it's that comes with huge

play15:20

advantages which I'm more than happy to

play15:23

to share from my private experience and

play15:25

and of course many people might have

play15:26

different opinion this is a personal one

play15:29

uh Luxembourg first of all is a very

play15:33

international country I think 50% 60% of

play15:37

the people I meet uh even Beyond they

play15:41

are foreigners uh there are people who

play15:44

have arrived in lurg in the last few

play15:46

years they are uh in the same position

play15:50

basically I feel that we were all on the

play15:51

same boat um they are eager to make

play15:54

connections to uh build beyond the

play15:59

business you know great friends yeah

play16:02

it's very easy to reach out to people

play16:05

because we are the same situation

play16:07

because we are all living in a country

play16:09

that is not ours but that is very well

play16:12

prepared to receive these communities

play16:14

it's not it's not by chance that we are

play16:16

all here the fact that we have European

play16:18

institutions in in the city center uh

play16:21

and very close to the city center by the

play16:23

way it's so easy to get to town hall and

play16:27

and just to to to town and just just get

play16:29

a drink and meet friends and uh

play16:32

everything is rual what 5 10 minutes

play16:34

distance public transportation is for

play16:37

free this is a huge selling selling

play16:39

point um and European institutions

play16:41

create a bit of an environment that also

play16:44

makes it much easier to to meet new

play16:46

people that are in similar circumstances

play16:48

in terms of networking is a very smooth

play16:50

country and no one is really closing uh

play16:55

themselves or or there are not closed

play16:57

groups that we cannot access

play17:00

um I mean there is one point that

play17:02

Luxembourg is that for me counts a lot

play17:04

it's extremely Green Country uh very

play17:07

there are many opportunities to do other

play17:09

activities like uh uh going to to a hike

play17:13

uh in the forest it's really nature uh

play17:17

is is really at the core of the of the

play17:20

country and it's extremely well

play17:21

connected it's very easy to if you want

play17:24

to have a bit more of uh this excitement

play17:28

that you find in one or two Capitals in

play17:30

Europe it's so easy to get to Paris or

play17:33

to get to Brussels Frank for London uh I

play17:39

mean I've benefited from that as well

play17:41

because I had friends foreigners um that

play17:43

were xoxx in many of those cities and

play17:46

probably being at the heart of Europe

play17:48

also helps a lot no no

play17:51

absolutely uh good thanks a lot uh

play17:54

Miguel I think we all kind of share more

play17:56

or less the this experience of Luxemburg

play18:00

um as a last question maybe in a few

play18:02

words what would be your recommendation

play18:04

for our audience today who is

play18:06

considering to join this early career

play18:09

program well that's that's a big one um

play18:12

I think each one of us has a different

play18:15

career aspiration

play18:19

and if I would summarize it in one word

play18:22

is be

play18:24

authentic don't speak up uh share your

play18:27

ideas with your manager

play18:30

not all of our ideas will become

play18:33

successful obviously some of them um

play18:35

needs a bit of work and but eif is a

play18:39

very safe place for growth a very

play18:43

um it's an amazing environment uh for uh

play18:49

where you have space to to speak up to

play18:51

share your your thoughts and more

play18:55

importantly even uh to

play18:57

learn sometimes even the not so

play19:00

successful projects and I had many um

play19:03

were the best learning opportunities at

play19:05

least to myself and in af you have the

play19:08

space

play19:10

to to to fail in in a way uh without

play19:14

having any kind of pressure um because

play19:17

this startup spirit that I was

play19:19

mentioning before um it's very unique to

play19:24

the institution that there are not so

play19:26

many organizations that work at the same

play19:28

time with governments and with founders

play19:31

of startups and we need to be a bit in

play19:33

the middle right uh so to apply I I

play19:38

fully recommend I'm very happy with the

play19:41

fact that you are launching this program

play19:43

H and uh be yourselves I think this is

play19:46

the best advice I can inde yeah totally

play19:50

uh thanks again Miguel this was the the

play19:52

last question hopefully manag to tempt

play19:55

some of the audience to join us here in

play19:57

Luxembourg and join our and join our

play19:58

program uh now in this third part of the

play20:01

session an and I will tell you a bit

play20:03

more details about the program and uh

play20:06

let you know how you can join a

play20:08

pro um so you might have probably see it

play20:12

on uh seen it on our on our LinkedIn on

play20:15

our Instagram if uh if you are if you

play20:19

are connected to us on the social media

play20:21

and uh and if you're not connected to us

play20:24

on social media please do we will be

play20:27

very happy to um to see you there so in

play20:31

2024 so this year uh the eif is

play20:35

celebrating its 30th Anniversary which

play20:38

is um an amazing date for us we are I

play20:42

think all very happy and and very proud

play20:45

um about about this um and we would like

play20:49

to um share with you just a few a few

play20:53

memorable um a few memorable figures of

play20:55

what we have managed to achieve so far

play20:58

during these 30 years of um 30 years of

play21:03

of existence so can you imagine that uh

play21:07

we as eif uh have supported in 30 years

play21:12

one in 12 small businesses uh in Europe

play21:16

which is uh well I think a very very

play21:20

very great and and and impressive number

play21:23

um in terms of um Euros of uh investment

play21:27

that that

play21:29

represents 37 billion of Euros that the

play21:33

eif has committed uh for financing uh

play21:37

the support of smmes in um in Europe um

play21:42

what about the eif today a few figures

play21:46

so we are around 700 uh staff members

play21:50

700 employees with a gender balance that

play21:54

uh has reached 5050 that we're also very

play21:57

proud of and um in um uh in October

play22:02

we're planning to welcome 30 uh 30 new

play22:06

joiners for our early career early

play22:10

career program so now I will um I will

play22:13

leave the floor to to Mari who will um

play22:16

explain you a bit more about the program

play22:18

itself and I'm sure you're very

play22:19

impatient to hear about

play22:21

it so now a few words about what we have

play22:25

designed for you hopefully you can see

play22:26

the slide um so we have designed a

play22:29

three-year program um during these three

play22:32

years you will have a chance to really

play22:34

discover eif as a whole you will have a

play22:36

chance to rotate within different

play22:38

businesses within eif and potentially

play22:41

some of you may also have external

play22:43

rotation to one of the partner

play22:44

institutions um in the private sector

play22:47

program starts on October 1st uh this is

play22:50

when we expect 30 of you to come here to

play22:52

Luxembourg um we have designed um very

play22:56

interesting learning and training

play22:58

velopment program for you because we

play22:59

want you to develop your skills it will

play23:01

be relevant not only during your time

play23:03

here ATF but potentially throughout your

play23:06

career of course we have uh an

play23:09

attractive compensations benefits

play23:10

package that we are going to cover um in

play23:13

a bit later in in the next slides and uh

play23:16

we have designed four different tracks

play23:19

or paths um for this for this program

play23:22

I'm going to speak about in the next

play23:24

slide um maybe just a final thing on

play23:27

this part is that I want to mention that

play23:29

the completion of these three years

play23:31

after you finish all of your rotations

play23:33

you will be eligible to apply to our

play23:35

permanent positions at

play23:38

the okay um we can move now to the next

play23:42

slide I just want to give you a few

play23:45

words about these four ECP tracks so

play23:48

what have we what have we prepared for

play23:49

you um I won't bore you with too many

play23:52

details we we already described a lot in

play23:54

the job description and more of it is

play23:56

going to come on our external web page

play23:58

uh but but just a few words about each

play23:59

each of these tracks so first one is

play24:02

science and data track now this track is

play24:04

for all of you stem enthusiasts in the

play24:07

audience so if you have done your

play24:09

studies in the area of science

play24:10

technology engineering maths we want to

play24:13

hear from you um you may some of you may

play24:15

know we are going through digital

play24:17

transformation here at eif you really

play24:19

want people who are young uh passionate

play24:22

about digitalization data and also

play24:25

passionate about all those things that

play24:26

Miguel and Mariot were talking about

play24:30

secondly uh being a financial

play24:32

institution of course we have a

play24:33

financial path for for those of you who

play24:35

did your studies in economics and

play24:37

finance um this one is also well

play24:39

explained uh already legal and

play24:41

compliance Tru is there this one is a

play24:43

bit maybe a bit more intuitive so I

play24:45

won't spend much time here uh just maybe

play24:48

last few words for the generalist track

play24:50

so here we are looking for applications

play24:52

from you who are um who did your studies

play24:55

in the area of marketing communication

play24:58

Human Resources project uh or change

play25:02

management uh finally all of these

play25:04

tracks um they include these rotations

play25:06

that we mentioned uh all of the all the

play25:09

all of the conditions that we mentioned

play25:11

in previous slide they apply to to each

play25:13

of these four

play25:16

tracks um I think this was it we

play25:21

can good um let's now see a few

play25:25

important reminders so all this uh is of

play25:27

course in the job description that you

play25:29

can um very easily find uh on um on our

play25:33

career portal and we will show you the

play25:35

link to it at the end of the

play25:37

presentation so there are a few um

play25:39

essential requirements that um that you

play25:43

need to respect in order to be eligible

play25:46

to apply to the to the early career

play25:48

program so first one is of course uh to

play25:51

have uh anyu

play25:54

nationality uh the second one is you

play25:56

have a University degree so that can be

play25:59

either a bachelor's degree or a master's

play26:01

degree in terms of years of experience

play26:04

we will accept your application if you

play26:07

have less than two years of uh

play26:10

professional experience and that is

play26:13

excluding any internships that uh that

play26:16

that you have

play26:18

done uh the working language here at the

play26:21

eif is English so the requirement is to

play26:25

be fluent in English and um the

play26:28

knowledge of any other European language

play26:31

is of course considered as as an asset

play26:35

and finally uh we expect you to be

play26:37

available for the whole length of the of

play26:40

the program which is uh three

play26:43

years um then what is important for us

play26:48

uh to see um in a candidate um so Miguel

play26:52

and Mari have already mentioned um

play26:55

mentioned um some some some qualities

play26:57

that we will be looking for that we will

play26:59

be looking for for in a candidate that

play27:02

that that I w't repeat now I would just

play27:05

add to that that of course we're looking

play27:07

for very motivated candidates um we are

play27:11

looking for candidates who are I think

play27:15

as inspired as we are by our European

play27:19

Mission and um have a very strong

play27:23

interest in working uh in a in a

play27:26

European um Union instit ution

play27:29

environment uh we're also looking for

play27:32

candidates uh with analytical and uh and

play27:35

problem solving

play27:37

mindset um who are already eager and uh

play27:42

and very interested to to learn uh to

play27:45

learn new things and there are so many

play27:47

things I think that that that you can

play27:48

learn as at eif as as as Miguel has

play27:51

already um as already mentioned to you

play27:54

guys um and of course we will be giving

play27:56

you all the support requ required for

play27:58

for learning as um as it was mentioned

play28:01

by by by Mariana already um and of

play28:04

course we're looking uh for proactive

play28:07

and very Enthusiast candidates who are

play28:10

not afraid to take um to take

play28:13

initiatives um and uh and to to to make

play28:16

a first step in in their career at um at

play28:21

eif um let's move to the next

play28:25

slide so now um a few few words about

play28:29

what we're going to offer to you um so

play28:31

you can expect a monthly gross

play28:34

compensation monthly gross salary of

play28:38

4,368 obviously being an institution you

play28:41

you you are not liable to pay National

play28:43

taxes however you are liable to pay the

play28:46

income tax to the European Union um

play28:48

obviously um it's to um the final n

play28:52

amount is going to depend a bit on your

play28:53

personal circumstances um so to all the

play28:57

candidates are going to receive the

play28:58

offer we will be sharing the the final

play29:00

let's say the net estimate so don't

play29:02

worry about this um as most of you are

play29:07

all over Europe we will be providing you

play29:09

also installation allowance to help you

play29:11

with your relocation here to settle here

play29:13

in

play29:13

Luxembourg you will be covered by our

play29:16

health insurance this health insurance

play29:18

is is really great because it's covering

play29:20

you not only Luxemburg uh but also

play29:22

worldwide um we have done a very

play29:25

attractive pension scheme now this may

play29:28

not be on top of your minds at this

play29:30

point in your life however um it is a

play29:32

good investment for for your future uh

play29:35

we already mentioned a b the training

play29:37

program that you have here in the house

play29:38

we really want you to develop your your

play29:40

soft skills the all the skills that you

play29:41

need to to be successful in your career

play29:43

of

play29:44

course um something else I want to

play29:47

mention of course yes it's the it's the

play29:49

flexible teleworking Arrangements we

play29:51

have here at DF so you will be you will

play29:54

you will have the chance to work a few

play29:55

days some days from home um here in

play29:58

Luxemburg some potentially some days

play30:00

from your home from your home country uh

play30:03

but depending you know subject to the

play30:05

agreement your manag um other nice

play30:08

things that we have here you are going

play30:09

to also have the um the access to

play30:12

subsidized sports activities and leisure

play30:15

activities uh that will give you also

play30:16

the chance to to meet other people in in

play30:19

in a similar situation Rel to laxenburg

play30:22

you are also going to have the access to

play30:24

the subsidized restaurants and

play30:26

cafeterias um for those of you who will

play30:29

be living in Luxemburg City uh you'll

play30:31

have a free uh free use of the Luxemburg

play30:34

City uh bike Services uh as Miguel

play30:37

mentioned it's it's it's not a big

play30:38

Capital you can you can cycle around and

play30:40

move around without the need of a car

play30:43

and finally but not the least important

play30:46

uh you will have your paid annual

play30:49

leave and I think I think this was it

play30:52

for this

play30:53

part perfect let's now um talk about our

play30:58

recruitment process as um as I imagine

play31:01

um a lot of you have questions about how

play31:04

the recruitment process is going to to

play31:06

look like for the for the ECP uh first

play31:09

things first uh a date uh to remember to

play31:13

keep in mind it's the 30th of April it's

play31:16

the deadline for applications for our

play31:18

ECP uh so keep in mind 30th of April uh

play31:23

in front of you on the QR code if you if

play31:26

you scan the QR code it leads you

play31:27

directly to our career portal to the

play31:30

application page where you can directly

play31:33

apply to uh to the ECP so don't hesitate

play31:36

to uh don't hesitate to to scan it to

play31:39

scan it already so as a first um as a

play31:43

first step for us is uh of course to

play31:46

screen your CV and your motivation

play31:49

letter so here um please keep in mind

play31:52

that we are receiving um a lot of

play31:55

applications for the for the for the

play31:57

prog program um so it's super important

play32:01

for for for you to to write uh to write

play32:04

um a nice and uh and and beautiful CV um

play32:09

a good motivation letter as well that

play32:11

reflects your real motivation and

play32:13

interest to join the eif and to join the

play32:17

the the early career program at at eif

play32:21

um also we do not recommend you to use

play32:24

um any artificial intelligence tools um

play32:28

to do that because we really want to

play32:30

hear from you uh as Miguel said we want

play32:33

you to be authentic and uh and uh and we

play32:36

want to know who who you are and what

play32:38

really motivates you to to join to join

play32:41

the the the eif today um so as a as a

play32:45

Next Step um there is the HR phone call

play32:49

that is optional so we might call you uh

play32:52

because we need to clarify an aspect

play32:54

from your from your CV or about your

play32:57

diploma

play32:58

or we have a question on on motivation

play33:01

so so we we we may call you for for that

play33:05

purpose uh the next uh step in the

play33:08

recruitment process is the online

play33:11

assessment so um for that you only need

play33:15

um your your your laptop and uh a few

play33:18

minutes of of calm at at home in order

play33:21

to to be able to to perform the the the

play33:24

online assessment the next step is the

play33:28

online interview so everything so far as

play33:31

you have seen is taking place online so

play33:34

super convenient uh for for you guys um

play33:39

the online interview takes place with um

play33:41

several colleagues from um from the eif

play33:45

including HR um where a few questions so

play33:49

some questions will be explor explored

play33:52

uh with you U like motivational uh

play33:55

questions uh amongst um amongst others

play33:59

and for the successful candidates of

play34:01

course the next and the last step is to

play34:04

uh receive the employment offer and uh

play34:07

to proceed to the onboarding um in uh in

play34:10

April uh in

play34:12

October in October uh later this year uh

play34:17

one important uh thing that you you

play34:20

should also keep in mind is that we only

play34:22

accept applications uh through our

play34:24

official career portal so we do not

play34:27

accept any spontaneous applications by

play34:29
