Outlines
🤔 Neighbor's Odd Requests and Suspicious Behavior
The narrator shares a story about living in a previous apartment where an unusual neighbor from the 7th floor, apartment 710, repeatedly came to her door asking for various things like sugar, meat, cleaning tools, and even to use her phone. She finds out through these interactions that the man is on disability and government support. He later tries to offer her instant coffee, but something inside warns her not to accept. The pattern of the neighbor's frequent visits raises suspicion, although she continues to help, influenced by her then-Christian beliefs.
😟 Questioning Reality and the Neighbor's Manipulation
The neighbor tells the narrator that he saw her outside with someone else, but she knows for a fact that she was at home asleep at that time. She reflects on this strange claim and realizes in hindsight that the man might have been trying to manipulate her perception of reality, making her question her sanity. As a new Christian at the time, she had been taught not to judge others, which caused her to overlook the red flags. Eventually, the neighbor crosses a line with an inappropriate comment, and the narrator decides to cut off all contact, realizing something more sinister was at play.
🛑 Final Encounter and Aftermath
After the inappropriate comment, the narrator finally confronts the neighbor, telling him to never return. She reflects on the subtle ways he was pushing her boundaries over time, and this last incident triggered her to stand her ground. She later moves out of the building, and about a year later, she sees the same man begging for money outside a convenience store, despite knowing that he still receives disability support and housing aid.
🤨 Reflections on Street Beggars and Manipulation
The narrator discusses her realization that many street beggars, like her former neighbor, may be receiving financial support but still choose to beg. She highlights that some use phrases like 'God bless you' to make passersby feel guilty for not giving. This reflection ties into her growing awareness of manipulation tactics, particularly those tied to religious or moral guilt, which often make people feel shame and lead them to give money out of discomfort rather than genuine desire to help.

Transcripts
targeted individual story
time I don't have a script for this
so it may be all over the place but I
want to share regardless even if it is
choppy hopefully you can follow
along
so there are many stories that I have
but this is the first one that I'm going
to
share now
I used to live a few years ago I used to
live in a different
building uh than where I live now okay
in that
building there
was a lot of
negativity a lot
of
people that I wouldn't want to live near
but I live near them and so there was
this one time
I got a knock on my
door
and I think I might have asked who is it
and they said your neighbor and so I
opened the door and the guy that was
standing in front of my door said I'm
your neighbor I'm so he told me he was
from the seventh floor and now I don't
live in this building anymore so I don't
mind
sharing the apartment number or the the
floor that I used to live
in he said he was from the seventh floor
and I believe it was 710 was his
apartment
number I was living on the third floor
316 was my apartment number so this man
decided he needed sugar and he said to
himself hm let me go to the third floor
to apartment number 316 and see if she
will give me so I just got cut
off but I'm going to try to figure out
where I left
off let's see
okay
I yeah someone came at my door knocked
on my door they came from the seventh
floor to the third floor to ask for
sugar and I gave them
sugar and so okay that's
fine I gave them what they asked for
then that person comes again
I think it might have been the next day
and also by the way all these
times they may not be or all the all
these things that I share of the person
coming and asking for certain things
they might not be in the order that they
happen but still it doesn't
matter so this person comes again asks
for meat and I end up giving him meat
and then he comes another time and asks
for uh cleaning cleaning tools I think
he was asking for a mop and I didn't
have a mop but I ended up giving him
something
anyways and
then he also comes and asks
for to be able to use my phone because
he
said his phone was cut off and he needed
to call someone which that is when I
found out that this man was getting paid
disability and his housing was getting
paid so he lived in that building
but but the his rent was being paid by
the
government and he was getting paid
disability
so that because he he used my phone and
he was calling whoever it was that he
needed to call in front of me and I
could hear the conversation so that is
how I found
out that and then
he also tried to give me once some
coffee which I refused because he said
he he he bought coffee and he didn't
realize that it was instant coffee and
he doesn't drink instant coffee
so he said he he you know he didn't need
it so he was wondering if I wanted it at
first I think I said sure and then I
ended up saying no cuz something inside
of me said do not take that so I did
it and then what else I may be
forgetting some of the other things that
he's come to me for
but one time I don't
know
why which situation he was there for or
you know what he had come to ask for but
one of the
things
that he said as he was
leaving was oh actually no before I
before I say that there was one
time whenever whatever he came to ask
her I don't know but he said to me he
saw me the other day during a time that
I know I was not
out and he saw he said he saw me with a
a person and he didn't want you know he
he didn't want to say hi because or I
don't I looked busy or something
something along those
lines but that wasn't true cuz I know
the time that he mentioned that he saw
me out I was asleep in my apartment so
now looking back in hindsight I know
what he was doing you know this is the
kind of these are the kinds of things
that abusers
groomers people that are not good to
they or when they have a
motive
and so
where was I yeah
so I think he was trying to make me
question myself question my
sanity
um yeah he he was just he was he was on
a mission to do something cuz he
constantly kept coming to me and you ask
the why did I why did I continuously
give him things and engage with him well
for a short period of time I got into
Christianity and so let's just say
because of that I turned off my
intuition because I I was in my mind I
had
this this thing of don't judge you know
don't judge we're all you know we're all
people you know give everyone a chance
that kind of thing this is this is the
kind of this is what Christianity does
to people it makes them weak it makes
them vulnerable to evil I there's so
much I can say about that I think that
should be another video but going back
to this man so anyways he's telling me
that he saw me when I know I wasn't out
but okay and here I am questioning
myself
and exactly what he wanted so anyways
moving past past that the last time that
he came to
me when I realized something was off
although I I've been I'd been having red
flags all along it's just that I was
just pushing them to the side the last
time he came to me he said something
inappropriate
completely as he was
leaving okay I didn't end up saying
anything doing anything he he he
basically just said it as he's walking
away so I close the door and you know I
start thinking about this and I think
I'm thinking through
it by the next day I
know something's off okay
there's certain things that I will not
share but let's just say I I realized
something was off and I I started making
a plan cuz I knew this guy was going to
come again in my mind I was going to
blow
up and I was going to tell him what I
thought and guess
what so I did that I blew up on this guy
and I told him to get away from my
face pretty much I don't I don't
remember the words that I used but do
not I I probably said do not ever come
back here here again I don't want to see
you ever
again so
yeah this
person randomly came to my apartment and
just knew to come to
316 and kept coming over and over and
[Music]
slowly trying more and more to see how
much he could get away with breaking
down my boundary
or crossing my boundaries pretty much
that was the the last thing that he did
was over the top and that's what made me
realize like the inner the inner me was
like no we're not going to do this it's
done anyways this guy I moved away from
that
building and maybe I don't know if it
was a year or so later I was walking
down a street I passed a con a
convenience store and he was in front of
the convenience store begging for money
now I know this guy gets paid disability
and his housing is paid but yet he's
still outside begging for
money so this is another thing that I've
come to realize about these
Beggars that are out on the streets
begging for
money you know I don't know if there are
any real ones that need something but I
know most of them most of them are bad
people um either they're you know either
they're already getting paid and I don't
know they're not managing their money
well and maybe need more or they just
want more I don't know but I know that
they're also there to make people feel
bad it's like an organization I don't
know if you've noticed but most of them
whether you give them something or not
they will say God bless you at the
end and when I
didn't when I was unaware of this God
programming
and you know what what it really what
really is
happening I think it would make me feel
bad sometimes hearing that or even just
make me think oh wait
does God is God not okay with me now
because I didn't give or maybe I should
give
because you know God is seeing all of
this and I I'm pretty sure I'm pretty
sure this God bless you is it's
purposefully said and people do feel bad
and that's why also people give
and it makes you feel guilty and sh
shame guilty and
shame
so there's there are more stories that I
have of people
pretending to beg for
money but I'm not going to share it in
this video because I think this might be
already already too long
so I
um I hope you could follow along with
what I just shared and
and uh that's it all right take care
