as a mellow slide and of course I needed

to check it out see how comfortable this

thing was I've done a bunch of different

slide video comparisons on my channel in

the last year and I might do an updated

one with a couple new additions to it

including this guy right here but I

wanted to give you guys my thoughts on

the new Crocs mellow slide and then

compared to the Adidas Yeezy slides and

let you guys know which one is more

comfortable and let's go ahead and get

into the video

have a full Sizer and last I checked of

the black colorway they did have a cream

colorway that was really dope it's

actually the first one I ordered but I

got the wrong size I got the women's

size not the men's so obviously that was

not gonna work out and I had to wait for

the next round that's why I've kind of

been waiting on doing this video but any

which way we got the black pair here and

I gotta tell you guys so first initial

Impressions right out of the package

it's not a box it's just a package that

they come in like a plastic bag but

these uh these are actually pretty nice

I like the overall sculpted shape of the

upper it's kind of rounded in a sense

from the midsole and then up through the

heel it has a really nice Sleek look and

appeal to the shoe then you have little

side vents as well that adds a nice

little visual but overall they look

pretty nice pretty Sleek not like a

traditional pair of Crocs clogs or

anything which is something that I've

grown to love through the years as much

as I hated on them originally but you

put these on and I was like wait a

minute these are really soft on foot you

definitely feel like the marshmallow

effect your foot squishes down

especially the heel squish here is very

significant in the shoe it is a very

slow responsive foam though so it's not

one where you step and then bounce back

it's kind of like your foot melts into

the shoe and just like I don't know how

to describe it but it definitely doesn't

have like a rebound or anything like

that which is kind of fun for me to

notice because I've done lots of reviews

on lots of different foam Technologies

on sneakers primarily but usually

there's two main purposes for a foam and

cushioning inside of sneakers one

comfort and Squishy feel and basically

just overall cushioning but the second

major function is having that bounce

back so you could have one that you

could press down on and then it Springs

back really really quick some of them

don't do that and this is one of them

that does not but let's go ahead and get

in some words what Croc says about their

own product you just got home from a

long day at work sink into the couch and

relax with the Ah that's the feeling the

Mellow collection brings to the mind and

body kick back and relax in our most

comfortable slides yet with a simple yet

modern Design This mood boosting

soft light ride foam that lets your feet

melt into the footbeds mellow out with

only giving these a 4 out of 5 star

rating and I found that really odd so I

had to dig in and read a little bit more

and then I found out well it's really

mainly a sizing issue so if you read the

description it tells you to size down

which is what I did I got a size 9 men's

instead of a size 10 men's there is no

half sizes now normally I'm a 9.5 and

with slides I usually fit a little bit

snug depending so I usually go up a half

a size that's what I did with the easy

slides I went with a size 10 instead of

a nine and in this case I went with a 9

instead of a 10 and I think I made the

right move it fits me just fine a lot of

people said that they felt just

massively big on feet and it was not the

right size so I think that it was a good

thing that I got a size nine instead of

a size 10 primarily the main reason why

a lot of people are saying that they

didn't like the shoes the Comfort was

there though and that's something that

I'm happy to report like these things

are definitely soft squishy comfortable

and like they said you just kind of melt

into the shoe because of that soft

feeling now the big question is how do

they stack up next to the Yeezy slides

and this is an interesting one because

they honestly don't feel as soft and

Squishy as the easy slides the Yeezy

slides have an overall similar shape as

the Mellow slides the main differences

that I can point out is the toe section

area right here is actually bigger on

the Mellow slides there's a smaller

exposed section down here on the easy

slides and then also the metal slides

have the vents on each side and the

biggest difference is the wave-like

shark-like bottoms of the Yeezy slides

there's also a little bit of a midsole

design in the back of the Yeezy slides

and none on the Crocs but the big

difference between these two that really

make the easy slides a little bit more

comfortable in my opinion is the fact

that the foam stack is actually just

higher than what it is in the Mellow

slide so if you look at the footbeds of

each of these shoes the easy slides are

just much higher there's more curvature

and an arc in the Mellow slides which

means there's less actual amount of foam

in the heel even though it looks fairly

similar side by side that dig out of

that foam actually makes a big

difference and that's part of the reason

why I think that the easy slides do feel

a little bit more comfortable on feet

which is a softer so I do have a

durometer and I did a foam density test

this one's in about 27 and the Yeezys

are sent about 28.29 so the Yeezy slides

are a little bit more firm than the

Crocs light in the Mellow slides but not

by much and I don't have my adolette

slides out here for my Baseline test but

those ones are actually softer than

these so the adding lit slides I think

are the softest ones on the market the

foam in the midsole of the outlet slides

are just amazing for like a 20 slide you

can't really beat the softness that they

have and these have a very similar feel

to that but obviously with a little bit

different stylings so my overall

thoughts on the Mellow slides from Crocs

first of all for those people who are

like yeah yeah the Crocs are copying the

easy slides you got to realize that

Crocs has been on the market for many

many years before Yeezy with with

respect to the all foam like pairs of

sneakers like Crocs clogs have been

around for a long long time so when the

foam Runners originally came out and

people saw those people were like those

are easy Crocs right like that was the

thing so I don't really think it's fair

to say that Crocs is Binding off of the

Yeezy slide because Crocs were like the

original innovators of the slides and I

have had a pair of Croc slides in the

past as well I do have them somewhere in

storage but this is a very revised

version of that the original Croc slides

were all foam as well just the same as

this it's just this is a better

sculpture uh in my opinion than the

original one so just wanted to debunk

that a little bit Crocs has really been

the originator for the most part and it

really is hard to track down origins of

everything in this day and age like

there's so many different people that

have created things who knows what's

actually first but what I can say is I

do like the design of the shoe I do like

the side Vance it adds a little bit of

extra Flair to the shoe they do have the

little Crocs massage dots on the bottom

of the shoe it's kind of like one of

their things that they're known for as

well not bad nice to see those as well

and then the overall comfort of the shoe

is really good like it's very soft and

Squishy on feet one of the softer Foams

on the market kid and you definitely

feel that sink in the only main issue

that some people might have is with the

sizing the shoe it just might be too big

or too small depending on the size that

you get and so I can see that being a

bummer for some people for sure the

overall traction pattern isn't too bad

on the shoe either and this is one of

those slides that you could wear inside

of the house or outside of the house

whatever you really want to do with it

but it's not a bad option for 50 bucks

to be honest it's one that you can wear

it doesn't have anything fancy across

the strap like leather or any other

materials so you can obviously wear this

in the water and around the beach and

you're going to be just fine as well not

a bad experience on Feed and I would say

a great alternative to the easy slides

if you can't get your hands on a pair of

these at 70 to 90 to 100 or whatever the

prices are and the colors you have a

couple options out there on the Croc

side for these guys so that's my
