Transcripts
I think you know for the for the kids
and the leaders for tomorrow it's a it's
important that you see things you're not
used to you need to open your mind up to
things that you're not comfortable with
you have to be comfortable being
uncomfortable because that's the only
time you'll be able to grow you know
Kobe Bryant talks about the destinations
not the goal
it's the journey the goal is within the
journey that's where you you learn about
yourself and you find out about yourself
and you you you you take a deep dive
into learning like yeah I'm really good
at this and and I wouldn't know that
unless I was trying to obtain something
else and you only can get to that if you
experience things right we I grew up in
a time where it was go to school get a
degree go to college well sorry go to
school go to college that get a degree
get a good job do we save your RRSPs buy
a house get married to have kids
times have changed times have definitely
changed and going back to the self
learning if you if you aren't pushing
yourself no one's gonna push you right
with with the your point about the
experiences experiences are good for you
to see but then your your brain and your
synapses and your sensors they start to
create new things and when that
creativity starts buzzing try that's
right you know I'm I I you know we're
sitting in a room and cameras and lights
and things like that I've I did a lot I
did a YouTube video I did a YouTube I
had a YouTube channel and I was inspired
by some friends that were vlogging I was
you know I'm gonna buy a camera so I
bought a camera for $400 and I started
taking the camera with me everywhere and
I eventually ended up getting a check
for one of the videos I put together I
recorded a VA players workout that I
believe hit like 50,000 views and I
think I got a check for 30 $30 and I was
like wow that's
cool now is that my passion no but I
took a chance and tried something and I
was like wow that's something I could be
proud of this year we were we put
together a commercial for one of our
clients well where did I learn that
skill I learned that to go from trying
to put together these little YouTube
videos and being able to tell stories so
the kids of tomorrow you guys are so
blessed you have so much opportunity so
much resources you just got to go and
look for it you got to be hungry for it
and if you're not I mean time is gonna
pass and you're you're probably still
gonna live a good life but it's
important that you at least try at least
try you know they always talk about oh
you know regret is worse than feeling
and it's real you don't want to get to a
point where you you you wanted to do
something and you didn't because you
were scared it's probably one of the
worst things ever so that's for me I'll
try it almost anything I mean legal if I
think it's a good idea and I think it
has legs I'll try and my life has been a
testament to that I've just tried new
things and built relationships
experience different things and learn
things and shared it with people and
people resonate to it so it's very cool
so that means I'm onto something
