timeing it's December 15th
2023 today's the day I'm going to give
my manager a call right now and let him
know I'm quitting giving them my 2 weeks
notice been waiting for this day hey how
are you I after like considering and
thinking for like a long time I think I
made up my mind that like I'll be uh
leaving the
firm regarding like a different I guess
like 9 to5 or career-wise I don't have
anything lined up for 2024 I just want
to like explore different interests and
kind of work on like business ventures I
have in mind and see like how far I can
take those things know thank you so much
I mean I learned a lot like been here
for 2 years and it was like the best
part of this job for sure was the the
people and like the group itself uh the
work itself was what I had like a lot of
problems with but in terms of culture
and people like I made the right choice
coming here and it was yeah it was a
great experience and that that made it
really difficult to like decide as well
you know I don't think you a different
company with like different people will
be as good as it is here in our group
thank you so
much have a good
[Music]
weekend now everything has
[Music]
Chang we
don't no life's about taking risks and
this is exactly what it is
so you guys might be wondering Leo why
are you
quitting I thought you just made a life
of a big four accounting job well here's
the thing guys thought about this for a
while and I've been here for 2 years now
at a big four public accounting cler and
I learned a lot starting my corporate
job right out of college not knowing
exactly what to do and when I was
younger I focused on stability as well
as relationship that I was currently in
and then unfortunately I didn't
prioritize myself and my career and my
goals of exactly what I wanted for that
reason I got really complacent I was
really happy with where I was and this
was an awesome opportunity that made my
parents super happy so I just stuck with
it and decided to get a CPA license and
just grind out busy seasons and see how
far or how much I enjoy this even though
I knew didn't feel right going into this
I would say though the group I was in in
terms of work environment is the best I
could have experienced you hear all
these horror stories about toxic
cultures and firms for Big Four public
accountings thankfully enough I think
the group was as healthy as it could be
in a corporate setting and everyone was
very polite yeah the reason I don't like
the work personally for me is because
it's very compliance heavy and it
involves a lot of laws and being very
right of certain calculations and just
didn't seem to have like any interest to
get better at it even though like I did
pursue like trying to learn more and ask
questions and a lot of it is my fault
for you know not getting better at the
job and a clear indication of like when
I knew I didn't want to do this is I
imagine my future 40 years down the line
of how my career would look and how
happy I would be and this job was just
not it or this career path of doing
taxes and accounting and that's why I
decided to
quit and I know quitting quitting a
stable job like this especially with
bills to pay and rent to
pay sounds Reckless and stupid and I
don't disagree with you but I have a
general plan of what I'm going to do so
the next plan is for the entire 2024 I'm
going to be exploring my interest going
to go almost all in on content creation
put out two videos a week and see how
far I can take content creation to and
create different sources of income and
also online business and everything is
very in the beginning stages which is
even riskier to leave a stable job to do
but I'm the type of person that really
likes to go all in on something and
especially in this case I'm all ending
it on myself and I feel confident enough
to make it happen and I want to be like
a living proof and example of showing
people that you can do this also you
just and witness my life going the
direction that I set for myself and
hopefully it'll Inspire others to do the
same and in terms of income cuz I know
I'm not going to be making money from
any of my content creation or any of my
businesses going to be working part-time
jobs put my head down and work start out
with like at least 3 days a week once I
get back from Korea in January and then
afterwards if we got to bump that
up to 5 to make ends meet we will and
then I'll calculate from there of if 5
days a week is not enough to pay my rent
and my bills but I'm still physically
way too tired to do my other Ventures or
hustles then we will get a 9 five job
with more work life balance and I run
out of money so yeah that's the plan I'm
24 and right now I have the least amount
of responsibilities I'll probably have
in my life I don't have a wife I don't
have kids is and thankfully my parents
are healthy and well and I feel like if
the time is not right now then I'll just
get more scared and more
responsibilities will add up and the
risks will be higher to even try this
thing in my opinion it's the perfect
time for me to try such a crazy thing
like this hly shout out my friends for
believing in me and supporting me on
doing this cuz they gave me a lot of
strength to actually like pull through
with this and make this actually happen
yeah my friends are like my second
family here cuz I don't really have
family in the states and then also did
get the blessing from my mom whose words
mean the most to me than anyone in the
world that she's worried and
nervous for me and would prefer me not
to do this but gave me her blessing to
give it a go and in the end it's my life
so she wants me to be happy more than
anything else so shout out to my mom as
well this will be my last day in the
office yeah it's uh kind of bittersweet
I did really like this office and has
amazing amenities and the views are
insane but time to move on to the next
chapter of my life but if you want to
see what I'll be up to and the progress
and content I'll be making please like
comment and subscribe and I will bring
the best content I possibly can to
hopefully inspire you rejuvenate your
day or help you watch something when
you're bored and make your day better
that's the end goal and find more
fulfillment in my life but thank you so
much for watching I will see you in the
next video
bye we'll hold tight as we can when it's
better
again
