The Saint would say that there would be a great World War, after which almost nobody would survive, maybe only a few who are living in caves.

They will fight, and only two or three countries will remain and they will decide, "Let us elect a king over the entire world." And they will elect him.

During the end times, the true Christians will be exiled, and those who are old or helpless will do everything in their power to run away with them.

"There will come a time when they will collect signatures for a single king upon the earth, and the census will be carried out with great strictness."

They will enter the home and they will find the husband together with his wife and children. And the wife will implore the husband, "Let us sign; we have children and you won't be able to purchase anything for them."

The husband however will reply, "You do as you please. As for myself, I am ready to die, and for the Antichrist I will not sign!"

And so, the troubling picture of the future is seen.

"The time will come," the pious Lawrence would say, "when the churches which are not functioning, meaning those which are closed, will be restored; they will be not only adorned on the outside, but also on the inside.

The domes as well as the bell towers will be gilded with gold.

And when the works will cease, the time for the enthronement of the Antichrist has come.

Pray that the Lord will extend these periods of time for the strengthening of our faith, because terrible times await us.

The Antichrist will be born from a Jewish harlot. From a young age he will be very gifted and intelligent.

Especially from the time when he will be an adolescent of twelve years old, he will be walking with his mother in the park and he will meet Satan, who will come out of the darkness and enter inside of him.

The boy will shudder from fear, but Satan will say to him, "Do not fear. I will help you." And inside this child the Antichrist will take on a human form.

At his coronation, when the Creed will be read he will not allow it to be read correctly. And instead of the words, "And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God," he will renounce it and only recognize himself.

Then the Patriarch will exclaim, "He is the Antichrist!", and for this the Patriarch will be killed.

At the coronation, the Antichrist will wear gloves, and when he will take them off to make the sign of the Cross; the Patriarch will notice that he does not have finger nails but claws.

From the heavens the prophets Elias and Enoch will come down, and tell all that the Antichrist has come. "This is the Antichrist! Do not believe him!"

And he will kill the prophets, however they will resurrect, and they will ascend into Heaven.

"Blessed, and three times Blessed, is the man who will not desire and will not see the filthy face of the Antichrist. As for him who will see and hear his God-blaspheming words, and his promises to all of earthly goods, he will be deceived.

And he will go with deception to greet him, and he will perish together with him, and he will burn in the eternal fire.

They asked the Abbot, "How will this be?" The abbot replied with tears,

"In the holy place, the abomination of desolation will take place, and they will present the fithy decievers of humanity. And they will deceive the people who denied God, and false miracles will be worked."

And after them the Antichrist will arrive, and the entire world will see him simultaneously.

The fathers asked him, "Where in the holy place? In the Church?"

The holy one answered, "Not in the Church, but in every home. Where the icons are now present, instruments of deception (TVs) will be found for the conditioning of people."

Many will say, "We have to listen and watch the news." Look, in the news the Antichrist will appear!

He will mark his people with seals. He will hate Christians. The final persecution of the soul of Christianity will begin; who will refuse the seal of the Antichrist.

At first, the persecutions will begin in the lands of Jerusalem, and then throughout the entire world the last drops of blood will be shed in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ.

"From you my children, many will live up to these horrible times."

"The marks will be so that you can immediately see if someone took it or not."

"The Christian will no longer be able to buy or sell anything."

"But do not lose your hope! God will not abandon His children! You do not need to be afraid."

"There will be churches, however the Christian Orthodox faithful will no longer be able to go inside of them, because there the Bloodless Sacrifice of Jesus Christ will no longer be brought forth, instead it will be a satanic gathering."

"And on account of these wrongdoings, the earth will cease to bear fruit. Due to lack of rain, the earth will have cracks so large that a person could fall inside of them."

"They will kill or exile Christians. However, the Lord will help and feed his followers."

"The same will happen with the Jews; they will gather them together into one place. Some of the Jews, who truly lived according to the Law of Moses, will not receive the mark of the Antichrist. They will wait and follow his actions."

"They know that their ancestors did not recognize Christ; the true Messiah. And behold, God will grant that their eyes may be opened, and they will not receive the satanic seal."

"They will confess Christ, and they will rule together with Christ."

"And the entirety of the weak people will follow Satan. And when the earth will no longer bear fruit, the people will go to him to ask for bread, and he will say to them,

"The earth does not give bread; I cannot do anything about it."

Hearing this discussion, a sister asked, "How should I proceed? I don't want to end up living those times."

"You are young. It is possible that you will live to see these times.", said the abbot.

"As frightening as it is, you must choose one of the two: either the earthly things, or the heavenly things."

"There will be war.", continued the Elder. "Wherever it will pass, human life will no longer exist. And before this, the Lord will send the weaker people some ordinary illnesses and they will die. "

"And during the reign of the Antichrist there will no longer be death. And the Third World War will no longer be for repentance, but for annihilation."

The sister said, "It's a good thing the war will take place; there will be a lot of martyrs."

The Elder however contradicted her, "No! Those who will be faithful and will cleanse themselves through blood, will be numbered among the ranks of the martyrs, but those who are not faithful will go to hell."

"If it is so, it will be easy to perish.", said the sister.

And the Elder answered her, "The Lord will take the weak, and others will be cleansed through illnesses."

"There also will be some who during the war will cleanse themselves from sin through their own blood, and they will enter into the rank of the martyrs."

"And God will leave those who are strong, so that they can meet Him. (at the end of times)"

"And the Lord will not come to judge until the number of the confessors of God do not replace the portion of the angels who fell."

"During the end times, the Lord will add them to the ranks of the angels and those who are alive to the Book of Life; whose number is incomplete because of those who are fallen."

"The reparation of the churches will continue until the arrival of the Antichrist, and an outstanding splendor will be present throughout.", the abbot would say.

"As for you, be moderate in the reparation of your church's exterior. Pray more! Go to church as long as it is still possible."

"Most importantly, be present at the Divine Liturgy where the Bloodless Sacrifice is brought forth for the sins of the entire world."

The Elder, discussing with the hierodeacon George about the end times, cried and said with much bitterness, "Many clerics will perish when the Antichrist will come."

Father George said, "How will I not also perish, as I am deacon?"

The Elder told him, "I don't know." The deacon then began to cry, and falling at the Elder's feet he asked him to pray for his deliverance from hell.

The Elder prayed and told him, "Okay. Look what will happen." The deacon came down with an illness of the head, he died, and he entered into the Kingdom of Heaven."
