soldiers have been killed and uh at

least 25 injured in an Iran backed drone

attack in Jordan oops I'm hearing

was like a

weird video playing on a window on my

computer on one of the news sites was

playing a video and I was hearing it and

I couldn't figure out what was going on

now it is quiet in here now I can hear

myself okay so again um three US

soldiers killed at least 25 injured

hearing it may be more in a drone

attack uh on a US Outpost in Northeast

Jordan uh and this drone attack was

carried out by Iran backed militant

groups so that's why I'm I'm referring

to it as an Iran backed drone attack so

this will C certainly increase pressure

on the Biden Administration to take most

more forceful um action against Iran

this is the first time in the recent

hostilities in the Middle East that US

troops have died as the result of direct

fire so uh we want to bring you an

update on this situation of course

really big question is what happens next

uh what does the US do in response to

this um and uh does this uh

significantly I mean it's a big

escalation but where do things go in the

Middle East from here so we're going to

be bringing you an update on this um

border so President Biden says today

today America's heart is heavy last

night three US service members were

killed and many wounded during an

unmanned aerial drone attack on our

forces stationed in Northeast Jordan

near the Syria border while we are still

Gathering the facts of this attack we

know it was carried out by radical Iran

backed militant groups operating in

Syria and Iraq and Iraq so that is why I

referring to this as an Iran backed

drone strike because the White House

says it was carried out by radical

iran-backed militant

groups um so the assumption would be

that um that Iran had a role in this

since the it was iran-backed militant

groups who've been carried the carrying

this out who carried this out uh

President Biden said Jill and I join the

families and friends of our fallen and

Americans across the country in grieving

the loss of these Warriors in this

despicable and wholly unjust attack

these uh service members embodied the

very best of our nation unwavering in

their bravery unflinching in their Duty

unbending in their commitment to our

country risking their own safety for the

safety of their fellow Americans and our

allies and partners with whom we stand

in in the fight against terrorism it is

a fight we will not is a fight it is a

fight we will not cease the three

American Service members who were uh we

lost were P Patriots in the highest

sense and ultimate sacrifice will never

be forgotten by our nation together we

will keep the sacred obligation we bear

to their families we will strive to be

worthy of their honor and Valor we will

carry on their commitment to fight

terrorism and have no doubt we will hold

all those responsible to account at a

time and in a manner of our

choosing so that is what President Biden

was it was overnight it was last night

but I mean I don't this according to

this it was technically on the 28th on

January 28th three US service members

were killed and 25 injured from a oneway

attack oh sorry a one-way attack uas and

I believe uas stands for unmanned

aircraft system or drone

so uas abbreviation meaning unmanned

aircraft system Dr you know drone um on

January 28 three US service members were

killed and 25 injured from a one-way

attack drone that impacted at a base in

Northeast Jordan near the Syria border

as a matter of respect for the families

and in accordance with DOD policy the

identities of the service members will

be withheld until 24 hours after their

next ofkin have been notified updates

will be provided as soon as they become

available aable and then Catherine

herriage with CBS News recently posted

this she said

um two US officials say there are now

over 30 injured uh service members

um the uh that's so CBS is reporting

over 30 injured service members

officially we have 25 injured uh I might

update my headline to say 25 plus

injured maybe I'll do that I'll say 25

plus injur in the headline because we

don't know exactly how

many

um let's do

that

um and I want to show you uh some other

reporting on this which has come out

uh The Washington Post said that this

happened at Tower

22 um which is a base near a US Outpost

near the

Alan base US base in in Syria so look

here is the Middle East here um we have

Israel here Jordan is here Syria is here

Iran is here Iraq is here uh the

Alon base US base uh is here and that's

near the Jordan border and this happened

um reportedly this happened in Jordan uh

near the border with Syria near the

Alton

base um so in the northeast corner of

Jordan here and let me show you that

report from The Washington Post about

about this US troops killed wounded in

attack blamed on Iranian backed

militants um see they're saying at least

34 were

injured see that there the U The

Washington Post is saying at least 34

were

injured um us officials said in the

first deadly military action against

American Service members since the war

in Gaza began immediately threatening to

widen the war into a wider regional

conflict while previous so there have

been I believe over 150 attacks in the

Middle East on US troops since the Hamas

attack on Israel and Israel launched its

war on Hamas in Gaza uh while previous

incidents have resulted in some injuries

to US troops Saturday night's attack was

the first instance of American Service

members being killed by hostile fire see

see there's a map right there it says

Tower

22 so the Washington Post says that this

happened at Tower

22 which is a US Outpost NE in Jordan

near the US TANF ton base in

Syria the one-way attack drone struck

the living quarters of a base a defense

official said causing injuries ranging

from cuts and bruises to brain injuries

and some that required a medical evalu

evacuation I'm actually going to post

that that's from The Washington

Post

all okay hang on I'm just posting this

now again they have they said at least

34 were injured The Washington

Post okay so again they say the oneway

attack drone struck the living quarters

of a base a defense official said

official uh let's see Washington Post

also says the attack came as Jordan

attempts to walk a line in the conflict

quietly partnering with the US on

counterterrorism while looking to avoid

the wrath of Iran and other Regional

neighbors uh while the defense official

said the attack happened at a base known

as Tower

22 in Northeast Jordan near the border

with Syria and Iraq both Jordan and a

senior official from the Islamic

resistance in Iraq claim that the attack

targeted a US base and tan on the Syrian

side of the

Border officials are trying to determine

why air defense failed at uh at at the

base known as at The Outpost known as

Tower 22 the US troops at the base are

serving on an advise and assist Mission

with their Jordanian counterparts the

defense official said so I would say

pretty regularly the last several months

we have heard about attempted drone

attacks on us bases in Iraq and Syria

where we hear that uh the air defense at

those bases shot down drones or Rockets

so somehow this drone this attack drone

got through and hit the base apparently

hit a living quarters in the base so

again the Washington Post is reporting

officials are trying to determine why

air defense failed why was this attack

drone not detected and shot down before

hitting the

base uh Washington Post says the first

American combat fatality since the war

in Gaza uh immediately raised the

question of how and where the Pentagon

might

respond it is unclear from which country

the attack was launched there have been

nearly 160 attacks on US troops in Syria

and Iraq since October 17th those have

included Rockets missiles and one-way

attack drones Laden with explosives the

Islamic resistance in Iraq and umbrella

group that includes KB Hezbollah new

jaaba and other Iran back militants

claim responsibility for the

attack that group said as we said before

if the US keeps supporting Israel there

will be escalations all the US interests

in the region are legitimate targets and

we don't care about us threats to

respond we know the direction that we

are taking and Marty martyrdom is our

prize the Islamic resistance in Iraq

this Iran supported militant group said

so you know one thing you wonder I

certainly would not be surprised to see

if the US thinks that this iran-backed

group the Islamic resistance in Iraq if

the US thinks that that group did it um

I would certainly think it's likely that

the US would carry out some sort of

strike and Strikes on that group but

will the US go directly after Iran I

mean remember President Biden in his

statement today he did say Iran he said

while we are still Gathering the facts

of this attack we know it was carried

out by radical Iran backed militant

groups operating in Syria and Iraq so he

mentions he call he says this was

carried out by Iran backed

groups so will the US go directly after

Iran in a response

um and again he also said we will hold

all those responsible to account at a

time and in a manner of our

choosing oh I want to take some comments

The Washington Post is reporting uh 34

injured in this um attack on a drone

attack on a US Outpost um in Northeast

Jordan that was carried out by

this afternoon on the latest regarding

the attack on US service

members uh Secretary of State blink

Secretary of Defense Austin Chiefs of

the CIA military National Security and

National Intelligence

were all on the

call one of our viewers Carl Carl says

pull up the building on Google Maps I'm

not sure where this is I have seen some

posts on social media claiming to show

where this is but I don't have

confirmation that this is where this is

so I'll show you on Google Maps where

there's some unconfirmed claim CLS of

hey this is where this happened but I'm

not sure it happened there so for

example Seth franman who is a Middle

East analyst who I do follow he

retweeted this post by this account

Israel Alma which identified this area

here as Tower

22 um and I'll show you the area they

said so if you go to Alton base which is

a US base in Syria and then you go to

the border with Jordan and you zoom in

here you

find here this this location here so

there are some people who are posting on

social media claiming that this is Tower

22 near the Syria Jordan border uh a few

miles you know about how many miles 20

miles from Alon uh base 10 miles I can't

confirm that that's where Tower 22 is uh

I don't know just cuz some people are

claiming it on social media does not

make it true um so that very might well

might be where Tower 22 is um I cannot

confirm that I don't know uh it would

match a description posted by The

Washington Post saying it's near the

border with Syria not far from Alton

base but I don't know if that's really

where it

is

uh just River PE says why didn't our

troops stop the Drone again the The

Washington Post is reporting that it's

being investigated why air defense at

this Outpost did not take out this

drone so we don't

know I wonder if there's a chance that

uh could it have been a case where a

drone was partially shot down and the

just fell when you know I don't know um

so we don't know conclusively what

happened uh yet did air defense fire at

this drone did it hit it at all we don't

know conclusively what happened yet our

viewer um Audrey Burbank says something

needs to be G done

now Jeff Hulk Kemp says this is an act

of war in my view you uh wildf flower

says Where will this go I don't know

where it'll go we'll have to see I mean

again this is the first time since the

war in Gaza started that US troops have

been killed by hostile fire in the

Middle

East so again we're bringing you live

breaking news coverage um last night

three US troops killed and again

certainly condolences to their families

and uh uh at least 25 injured The

Washington Post is reporting 34 injured

in a drone attack that was carried out

by uh Iran backed militant groups um uh

in Iraq or Syria according to the uh

Biden Administration and uh this drone

attack hit a US Outpost in Northeast

Jordan The Washington Post said it hit

the living

quarters uh let me show you some more

reporting on

this I'm going to show you you know I

sometimes you find different piece

different different reports uh in

different you find different pieces of

information in different reports you see

so I'm going to check out several

reports now and see if we see any

different information or any new

information in any of these reports for

example this is CBS news three American

Service members killed and dozens

injured in a drone attack on a Bas in on

base in Jordan us

says

um uh yes us Central Command initially

said the number of injured was 25 but

two US officials soon said the figure

had risen to more than

30

um so that's another report that says

over 30 injured

the strike was believed to be the

deadliest attack on US service members

since 13 Americans were killed in a

suicide bombing in Kabul as the US

pulled out of Afghanistan in

2021 uh the Drone strike comes as

tensions between the US and Iran's

proxies in the region Iran has these

other militant groups that do their

bidding in the Middle East um the drones

stri proxy groups the Drone strike comes

as tensions between the US and Iran's

proxies in the region have soared to

precarious Heights in recent weeks

raising the risk of Israel's war with

Iranian backed Hamas and Gaza erupting

into a broader regional

conflict uh you know as many of you have

been following you have the iran-backed

houthis in Yemen uh launching numerous

attacks on ships in the Red Sea uh that

that's been going on uh you have roughly

160 attacks on US forces in last several

months um from uh Iranian bat groups in

Iraq and Syria for example I believe

that's where those I mean this was in

Jordan but most of these attacks have

been in Iraq and

Syria and then as CBS News points out uh

uh I believe a couple weeks ago it was

uh two new US Navy Seals were lost at

Sea after they went overboard trying to

board an Iranian vessel that was

delivering Advanced Conventional Weapons

to the houthi

rebels uh a couple of um let me show you

there have been

some members of Congress posting about

this I've seen Republican members of

Congress posting about this so Lindsey

Graham who's a Republican senator says

hit Iran now hit them

hard

that's what he

said Senator Tom Cotton who's a

republican said uh he said that Joe

Biden emboldened Iran for years by

tolerating attacks on our troops bribing

the ayatolla with billions of dollars

and appeasing them to no end he left our

troops as sitting ducks and now three

are dead and dozens wounded sadly as

I've predicted would happen for months

the only answer to these attacks says

Senator cotton must be devastating

military

retaliation against Iran's terrorist

forces both in Iran and across the

Middle East anything less will confirm

Joe Biden as a coward Unworthy of being

commanderin-chief

that's what Tom Cotton says now look uh

I am guessing that in the US admin in

the Biden Administration there is

concerned that uh of that they don't

want this escalating into a wider war

that will involve US forces and US

troops even more deeply so you know my

guess is that there's a balancing at

going on between trying to strike back

at Iran and Iran bu groups without

escalating unnecessarily I don't know

how they will go on this Tom Cotton

Senator and Lindsey Graham both

Republican Senators want more forceful

response to

Iran then here's another Republican

senator Alex Ward mentions top

Republican on Senate armed service

committee uh Senator Roger wicker calls

for striking directly against Iranian

targets and its leadership Roger wicker

says we Senator Roger wicker says we

must respond to these repeated attacks

by Iran and it proxies by striking

directly against Iranian targets and its

leadership the Biden administration's

responses thus far have only invited

more attacks it is time to act swiftly

and decisively for the whole world to

see so that's a that's a response from

three different Republican

Senators

defense official said the attack

thing I've seen from Jordan so far I see

this report that Jordan said this

here's Iran there's Syria there's the US

Alton base in Syria across the border

from Syria in Jordan right here is this

is Tower 22 as one of our viewers said

it certainly looks pretty remote um that

is Tower 22 according to the New York

Times that is the base uh that is The

Outpost where this happened you can

actually see there's a basketball court

or that looks like a basketball

court so it's a pretty remote um base

right near it looks like about a thous

th000 ft away from the Jordan Syria

border I don't think there's any Street

View in the area that I can do no

there's no street

view

okay so the New York Times says uh the

attack happened at a small Outpost in

Northeast Jordan called Tower 22 near

the Syria border where the troops were

based the uh the deaths of US service

members will almost certainly put more

pressure on President Biden to more most

to respond more forcefully as Strife

grows in the Middle East after the

October 7th Hamas attacks in

Israel in a statement the Iranian backed

militias who call themselves The AIS of

resistance claimed responsibility for

the attack on the base in a remote

desert area of Jordan saying it was a

continuation of our approach to

resisting the American occupation forces

in Iraq and the

region um on January 20th at least four

US service member stations in Western

Iraq were injured when their Airbase

came under heavy rocket and missile fire

from what American officials said were

iran-backed militias it was the latest

and more than 150 strikes by iran-backed

militias in Syria and Iraq since US

troops uh against US troops there since

the October 7th Israel Hamas attacks on

Israel um the US has some 2,000 troops

stationed at an Airbase in Oz Rock

Jordan says the New York Times as well

as Special Operations forces military

trainers and Personnel at Tower 22 who

Provide support for the US Garrison at

Alon Syria just across the border the

American troops are there largely to

assist in Regional efforts to Stamp Out

remnants of the Islamic

State it is unclear why air defenses

failed to intercept the

Drone uh which current and former

military commanders said appeared to be

the first known assault on Tower 22

since the war in uh since Hamas attacked

Israel and the war started in

Gaza the US troops at Tower 22 at the

tower 22 Outpost advise and assist

Jordanian troops and provide support for

the alth Garrison just across the border

in southeast Syria says the New York

Times so that's what the New York Times

has to say again three US troops killed

at least 25 injured according to

multiple reports it's over 30 injured in

a drone strike carried out by Iran

iran-backed militant group or

groups um and this drone strike hit a US

military Outpost in Jordan near Syria

the first US fake soldiers killed uh by

direct hostile fire uh since the October

7th Hamas attacks and the uh Israel's

war on Gaza began on October

you think the us is going to do will the

US do another you know attack on will

the US go after uh the group or groups

they feel like launch the Drone or will

they go directly after

Iran so far the last couple months it's

been the US going after the Iran bat

groups not the US that carry out these

attacks on US forces not Iran which is

supporting the groups and again we've

had the US and allies launch strikes at

the houthis in uh the houthis in Yemen

who are attacking ships in the Red Sea

but the houthis are supported by Iran

presumably a big reason they're carrying

out these attacks is because Iran is

telling them to but we don't have any

strikes directly on Iran yet since um

uh in response to these attacks um since

uh since the Hamas attacks in Israel on

octo on October 7th so will will there

be some sort of more direct attack on

Iran by us and Allied Forces yoav o says

I think they will do

nothing uh Marie says I know one thing

us will not tell until it's being

done Raven cat says how do you think we

will respond I don't know um could there

maybe be some sort of

like attack on a direct a direct Iranian

interest but some sort of small one I

don't think it's gonna I mean given

given the pattern of the how the US has

responded the last several months I

don't think you're going to see a huge

direct strike on Iran I might be wrong

about that but it seems like I would

think that maybe the administration if

they were going to go after some direct

Iranian interest would do some kind of

graduated strike saying that that the

point would be like as a as as a message

to

Iran the other thing is is remember here

so while three US soldiers were killed

and looks like over 30 injured in this

attack at least 25 injured right um this

type of attack as far as is similar to

there have been o over 150 attacks

on by Iran back groups on US troops in

the Middle East in the last several

months so the difference today might

just be that the Drone got through uh

I'm not aware that there's a qualitative

difference in the type of attack the

difference today might just be that the

Drone got through the air defense didn't

get it

so um it's not we don't it's not like

Iran carried out necessarily some new

bigger type of attack it could just be

that this is the same type of attack

that's been going on for months it's

just that today the Drone got

through um so anyways it's just I want

to point that out that it's not clear

that this is any kind of escalation in

terms of the nature of the attack itself

it's just the result has been

different

uh Z says not this particular area

though yeah I mean we did see a report

that this was the first attack of the

last several months on Tower

22 and I don't even know if there's been

any other attacks on US troops in Jordan

the last several months they've been

largely in Iraq and Syria this was near

Syria

though

uh I think Trump might have posted about

this on his truth

social yes he

did this is what Trump said now I'm

guessing I'm guessing you can guess that

Trump is going to blame Biden and

criticize Biden for this let's see let's

see if that's the case um Trump wrote 49

minutes ago on his true social the Drone

attack on a US military installation in

Jordan killing three American Service

members and wounding many more marks a

horrible day for America my most

profound sympathies go to the families

of the Brave service members we have

lost I ask all Americans to join me in

praying for those who have been wounded

this Brazen attack on the US is just

another horrific and tragic consequence

of Joe Biden's weakness and

surrender Trump also wrote on true

social three years ago Iran was weak

broke and totally under control uh I

leave it to you viewer to to agree or

not whether Iran was weak and totally

under broke and totally under control

three years ago anyways um Trump says

thanks to my maximum pressure policy the

Iranian regime could barely scrape $2

dollars together to fund their terrorist

deaths of our of our Us of three of our

US service members and the wounding of

other American troops in an attack last

night against us and Coalition forces

who were deployed to a site in North nor

Eastern Jordan near the Syrian border to

work for the lasting defeat of Isis

these Brave Americans and their families

are in my prayers and the entire

Department of Defense Mourns their loss

iran-backed militias are responsible for

these continued attacks on US forces and

we will respond at a place and a time of

our choosing the president and I will

not tolerate attacks on American forces

and we will take all necessary actions

to defend the us our troops and our

interests that is from the secretary

defense in case you missed it President

Biden

said uh last night three US service

members were killed and many wounded

during an unnamed sorry during an

unmanned aerial drone attack on our

forces stationed in Northeast Jordan

near the Syria border while we are still

Gathering the facts of this attack we

know it was carried out by radical

iran-backed

militant groups operating in Syria and

Iraq and also the

centcom US Central Command in their

statement posted by Margaret Brennan

said uh on January 28th three us sub

service members were killed and 25

injured from a one-way attack uas that's

an unmanned aircraft system that a drone

that impacted at a base in Northeast

Jordan near the Syria

border

sad Jefferson aosta says why haven't we

responded yet this is ridiculous

um I don't think it's un uh you you know

sometimes when the US responds to

Something in in a case like this it

takes a little while it doesn't happen

right away uh I certainly would expect

some sort of us response of some sort in

the coming

days uh what it will be I'm not

sure uh I would think maybe some sort of

kinetic US military action it might just

be that the us says I would not be

surprised if there's a press release

that comes out in the next few days that

says we have hit some Iranian backed

militant group in Iraq and Syria and

launched some strikes on them in

response for the attack on the US

base I would say maybe that's the most

likely uh that's what they've been doing

the US uh to in count in in response to

these attacks on US troops that wouldn't

be an direct attack on Iran maybe this

time there will be a us response that

involves some more of a direct attack on

Iran whatever that might be I can't say

but I would certainly expect something

in the coming days um thanks to I I I

think the us is going to feel like they

need to at least Step Up in some sort of

way the response from the previous

responses of the last several months um

and what is nearby and who makes up the

so-called Islamic resistance of Iraq an

umbrella group of Shia Iranian back

proxies who called themselves Islamic

resistance of Iraq or Hamas of Iraq post

October 7th this is from Josh Rogan

who's a Washington Post columnist now

we're talking about um Tower

22 which is it's in Jordan near Syria it

is a u it is a military Outpost near the

border of Syria about 15 miles from

Altan US base which is in Syria and if

you zoom in on Google Maps according to

the New York Times that is Tower 22 you

can actually see a looks like a

basketball court

Athletic Facility there but it is a

remote Outpost there Tower 22 that was

what was attacked the Washington Post

says living quarters were hit so Josh

Rogan with the wash who's a Washington

Post columnist says Tower 22 the

us-based in Northeast Jordan where three

American troops were killed overlooks a

Syrian refugee camp called rukban where

15,000 people have been living for years

it's also near the Alton Garrison where

a couple hundred US troops are based

this is a crucial node between Iraq and

Syria that Iranian militias have long

sought to control there have been

several drone attacks on the ton base

since October 7th this is a Brazen

escalation the group that will claim

responsibility calls themselves the

Iranian the Islamic resistance of Iraq

but that's really a post October 7th

umbrella group of uh

irgc that would be the

Iranian uh is it revolutionary G

yes uh irgc sponsored militias the

actual attackers were likely katib

hisbah with support of harakat Hezbollah

alab and assai Al

alhak Josh Rogan says I spoke with

Syrian partner forces about the Islamic

resistance of Iraq they told me that

Iranian irgc irgc coup's Force has

Consolidated various militias under the

new name new moniker to focus efforts

and resources on one shared Mission

targeting Americans he says here's a map

that shows how Tower 22 is in close

proximity to Alon to ton base rukban

refugee camp and Iraq's aali Airbase

several Iranian backed militias operate

in the space area 55 is a 5 55 km safe

Zone in quotes around ton protected by

US troops so that's from Josh Rogan some

background about Tower

22 and the Islamic resistance of Iraq

militant

group right trying to get you the latest

uh Senator Tom Tillis who is a US

Republican senator posted this this is

no doubt another attack from an Iran

proxy this time with tragic results my

condolences go out to the families of

the service member killed in this uh of

the service members killed in this

attack and I'm praying for the full

recovery of our service members who were

injured

let's check a couple by the way Politico

also has this picture of tower 22 a

small Outpost they say attached to the

rukban refugee camp near the Iraq Syria

it's near the Jordan Syria border US

Special Operations troops have used that

location to cross into Syria to help

fight the Islamic

State uh again three US troops killed at

least 255 injured we're hearing reports

of more than 30 injured in this drone

attack uh launched by Iranian backed

militias on a US Outpost in Northeast

Jordan um Politico says this is the

first time Amer since this is the first

time American troops have been killed in

months of drone and missile attacks on

US forces in Iraq Syria and now Jordan

that began not long after Hamas

militants killed 12200 Israelis on

October 7th the hit impacted the base

living quarters according to a Us

official the base known as Tower 22 is a

small Outpost attached to the rukban

refugee camp near the Iraq Syria border

is it near the Iraq Syria border it's

definitely near the Jordan Syria border

well Iraq Syria it's near the Iraq Syria

border too because Iraq border is right

here okay fair enough

um uh it is just a few kilometers away

from syri is Alton for Garrison which

has been targeted dozens of times by

Iran backed proxies since November since

October so again the this this Tower 22

which is

here it is

about what 15 miles it's about 12 miles

from the Alton base where hundreds of US

forces are are and uh which has been

attacked many times in the last several

months

um Politico talked to a former Defense

Department official uh Mick mroy Mick

mroy is a former Defense Department

official a retired CIA power military

officer in a marine uh he said the

attack has to be responded to with

significant Force more Force than we

have used to date not only should the

group that launched this attack be

targeted but the Iranian irgc coup's

Force should as well now I believe the

cuds force is the Iranian force that

like organizes their foreign proxy

forces

um yeah so for

example uh you can see like encyclopedia

britanica

says the cuds force Elite clandestine

that means secretive wing of Iran's

Islamic revolutionary guard Corps

responsible primarily for its foreign

operations its activities have centered

on organizing supporting and at times

leading local forces abroad in ways

favorable to the entrance of the isra

Iranian revolutionary guard Corps in

Iran's clerical establishment that's the

kou's

force so you know they would be the one

ones supporting and organizing and

directing these proxy forces these other

forces in other countries which do the

bidding of Iran and that's I believe why

MC malroy is saying he thinks not only

should the group that launched this

attack be targeted but the Iranian irgc

coup's Force should as well several

prominent Republican Senators including

Lindsey Graham and Tom Cotton also

called on the administration to strike

inside

Iran

uh since October Iranian proxies have

hit us and allied forces in the Middle

East 158 times although before this

attack overnight they had only caused

minor injuries to damage and and damage

to

infrastructure this is interesting the

tower 22 base has seen action before on

October 23rd iran-backed militants in

Syria launched multiple one-way attack

drones close to Alon for Garrison

Coalition forces at Tower 22 took down

the drones which fell on the Syrian side

of the

Border um virus says how would Iran

respond against being attacked so that's

a huge question right and and that's

going to be something that the Biden

Administration considers um if the US

launches an attack

directly on Iranian

interests um rather than on an Iranian

proxy group who's doing the bidding of

Iran um if the if the US steps up their

response by launching an attack directly

on Iranian interests um how does Iran

respond to that do you see more attacks

on US troops and or or in or stepped up

attacks do you see attacks elsewhere in

the world I can't say but that's going

to be a big the big concern uh by of the

B Administration

is how does an American response to this

how can it lead to escalation where

could it all go what consequences might

it have in terms of of making things

even more escalated in the Middle

East and potentially around the world

25th from three days ago that says

whether a reelected Trump would actually

withdraw from the alliance as many fears

beside the point but doesn't say he

definitely

would

uh Bloomberg posted a you know about 10

days ago that Trump has made threats to

end to pull out of NATO but not that

he's

definitely all anyways I don't want to

get caught up in all that right now it's

a little bide it's a little off topic

but

anyways

stars and stripes which is a military

newspaper is saying 34 were injured

which I think we read in a different

publication as well according to a Us

official the number of troops in the

attack by the oneway attack drone Rose

to at least

34 I think that was in The Washington

Post as

well

uh another Republican senator posted

Senator John Corin Republican

senator he said Target

Teran that's what he said Target Tran

what exactly he means by that I don't

know

Target the government in

tan uh by attacking Iran directly or

actually Target something in

Teran

yeah we don't you know I'm sure most

more details will be emerging on that

there's not that much details on this

attack at the moment I'm checking some

different um articles some different

reports from different

sources

Fox News says calls grow for Biden to

strike Rogue regime after Teran proxies

kill three US service members a proxy is

a group that does the bidding of

another um Fox reports that most if not

all of those injured or killed injured

and killed our army soldiers based in

Northern Jordan near the Syria border at

a base known as Tower

22 which has been in support of the

counter Isis mission for a year the

official said some of the 25 plus whove

been injured have been medically

evacuated from the base likely to land

stall in Germany according to the

official it is not clear if they were

hit while sleeping in the residential

compound at the

base

uh according to the AP says Fox News

some 3,000 American troops typically are

stationed in

Jordan the unnamed us officials cited in

several Reports say the attack happened

to Tower 22 a small Outpost in Northeast

Jordan located close to Alon Garrison in

Southeastern Syria where US forces have

collaborated with local Partners

combating Islamic State militants the

Jordanian recover government reportedly

is claiming this didn't happen in

Jordan Jordanian State television quoted

a government spokesman as assisting the

attack happened outside the kingdom

across the border in Syria now maybe

Jordan is just saying it's not didn't

happen in Jordan for political reasons

I'm not

who exactly is everyone wanting Biden

says three US troops GRS killed in

Jordan by Iranian backed militia the US

should stop saying we don't want to

escalate this invites them to attack us

stop calling our strikes retaliation

this is reactive take out their

capabilities and strike hard at the

source Iran that's what Wes Wesley Clark

thinks uh our viewer Aurora boralis

mentions that Nikki Haley who's running

for Republican nomination for president

uh posted and she said

um they would not be attacking our

troops if Joe Biden weren't so weak in

his treatment of Iran we should

retaliate with the full force of

American strength it's the only way to

prevent further War if we do not these

attacks will only continue that's what

Nikki Haley

believes again my guess is that the B

Administration is worried about this

escalating if uh the us ramps up its

response and creating like a large

larger war in the Middle East I can't

tell you what they're going to do I'm

not going to say what they should do I

would assume uh that if the Biden

Administration representative was here

right now they might say something like

that um Dan Campbell our viewer thinks

the US has waited too long to deal with

the

problem um and says that us bases in the

region are at risk from Iran's missiles

and drones in an escalation scenario

failed to intercept the Drone which

appears to be the first known attack on

Tower 22 since attacks on us and

Coalition forces began October

17th US forces at The Outpost are there

as part of an advise and assist Mission

with

Jordan us officials have repeatedly said

they do not want to see the increasingly

High tensions across the Middle East

during Israel's fighting with Hamas

broughten into a regional

War um the CNN also reports the US is

still working to identify militia

responsible for Attack on its base in

Jordan the US government is still

working to assess exactly which militia

group was responsible for Sunday's

attack on on soldiers on a base in

Jordan a Us official told CNN at least

three service members died and more than

30 were injured in the Drone attack by

Iranian

proxies thanks pixel pandle for the gift

plenty of intel on Targets in Iran that

would hurt Iran but not create a

up many proxies over the years in

all seem too much to deal with how can a

other countries to attack Israel US

Jordan officials have called the attack

Jordan attack on US troops a terrorist

attack and their first statement C it

since it

happened um the overnight attack killed

three American troops in Northeast

Jordan on a military advaned post just

inside its border with Syria Jordanian

official said the country was

cooperating with Washington to secure

its Frontier and fight terrorism early

earlier a Jordanian government spokesman

had said the attack was on a US base in

Syria but not on Jordanian soil are

there now are they now admitting it

happened in Jordan it's not exactly

clear from this

post uh by the way a Sky News also says

huge pressure on Biden after a drone

attack and Jordan kills three Americans

This is a troubling moment on so many

levels on many level says Mark Stone Sky

News it represents yet another clear re

indication that America and its allies

are facing a regional conflict in the

Middle East it is a conflict in which

they are protagonists a conflict they

are struggling to influence and a

conflict which they have not yet got

contained it's moments like this which

will come it's moments like this which

will come to Mark turning points a

shifting of the dial and attack which

will force President Biden to respond

the moment presents him with a complex

range of challenge says Mark Stone of

Sky News in an election year when with

the polls against him he faces a

domestic conundrum to double down hard

in retaliation for the attack would be

the natural response for the

commander-in-chief but his probable

political Challenger Donald Trump is

running with a narrative that Biden has

pulled America into Wars Biden does not

need this to

escalate geopolitically the fact that

this took place inside Jordan a close

Ally is a Remar is remarkable and

troubling for Biden as well as for the

Jordanian government Biden will probably

feel compelled to send more troops into

the region to further secure the US

bases and act as a greater deterrent

that's an interesting possibility Sky

News raises but that puts more of them

In Harm's Way it will also add to

internal tensions for Jordan where King

Abdullah will not want to be seen as

such a visible supporter of America

remember public opinion for America and

the Arab world is extremely low

following its unequivocal support for

Israel's war in

Gaza for a president with so many

challenges domestic and global global

intertwin the pressure is huge huge

um why are US troops in Jordan uh one

reason some of the Articles we've we've

read mentioned is that they are helping

to fight Isis in

Jordan and Syria right across the

border

uh BBC says where exactly is Tower 22

it's up here in Northeast Jordan near

Syria uh this this drone attack was on

the tower 22 Air Base reportedly the

Drone hit living quarters um Tower 22 is

in rukban Northeast Jordan a sort of no

man's land with the nation's neighbor

Syria the site measures around 700 met

east to west and 9 900 M north to south

about the same size as batter SE Park in

London when contains more than 70

buildings the base has no airst strip

but the latest high resolution images

available to us show spaces for at least

nine helicopters seven of which were

occupied from June to October 2023 the

remote location and its military nature

means we are yet to see any definite

images from the site on social media

although we continue to m a number of

platforms that is is

um

here here is here is Syria here and IR

Rock and Jordan here and if you go in

here you can see Tower 22 is right

here a remote Outpost in Northeast

Jordan

Eric Floyd on X says would this require

a NATO Article 5 response because of US

service members I believe Article Five

Just applies to when a NATO Ally is

attacked and Jordan is not a member of

NATO uh NATO Article Five provides that

if a NATO Ally is the victim of an armed

attack each and every other member of

the alliance will consider this an act

of violence as an armed attack against

all members and will take it deems

necessary to assist the Ally
