[Muziek] Hoi Michel hier van de Academie voor  Landschapsfotografie en in deze video gaan we het  

hebben over het laten printen, het laten afdrukken  van jouw foto's. Want weet je wat het is? De  

meeste foto's die tegenwoordig gemaakt worden,  die worden ofwel gemaakt met de mobiele telefoon,  

ofwel met een echte camera. Maar in beide gevallen  leven die foto's vervolgens in de digitale wereld.  

Of ze staan op je telefoon of ze staan op de  harde schijf van je computer. Maar hoe leuk  

is het niet om die foto's nu eens een keertje uit  die digitale wereld te trekken en ze in de echte  

wereld te brengen door ze groot te laten afdrukken  en ze vervolgens aan je muur te hangen of ergens  

neer te zetten, zodat je iedere dag met trots  naar jouw eigen foto, naar jouw kunstwerk kunt  

kijken. Maar dat laten afdrukken van zo'n foto,  daar komt nog echt wel wat bij kijken. Dat is echt  

nog wel eventjes een vak apart. Als je denkt van:  weet je, het is toch niet heel veel meer dan die  

foto gewoon uploaden naar een afdrukcentrale  en dan krijg ik vanzelf de foto terug? Nee,  

zo simpel werkt het niet en als je dat doet dan  heb je een grote kans dat op het moment dat je je  

foto terugkrijgt, dat het toch een teleurstellend  resultaat is en dat het absoluut niet is wat je  

ervan verwacht had. En bovendien, het afdrukken  van een foto, zeker in een groter formaat,  

dat is best een dure aangelegenheid. Dus op het  moment dat je weet hoe je je foto moet afdrukken,  

dan weet je ook zeker van tevoren dat je  eindresultaat goed zal zijn. En in deze video  

gaan we kijken naar een aantal facetten die erbij  komen kijken bij het laten afdrukken van je foto.  

En waar ik het vooral over wil gaan hebben in deze  video is het bepalen van het juiste formaat van  

je foto. Want kijk, een foto die je op papier  laat afdrukken, die zal je willen ophangen in  

een fotolijstje. En zo'n fotolijst die kan  je natuurlijk nieuw kopen, misschien heb je  

al een fotolijst in huis waar een oude foto  in zat die weleens aan vervanging toe was,  

en dan ben je natuurlijk gebonden aan de maten van  dat lijstje. En die foto die je laat afdrukken,  

die moet natuurlijk exact aan die maten voldoen.  En daar moeten wij als fotograaf de controle  

over houden. Als je dat aan de fotocentrale  overlaat en je laat die jouw foto bijsnijden,  

dan heb je kans dat ze precies het verkeerde  stukje van je foto afsnijden. We kennen allemaal  

wel die foto's waarin een persoon er heel mooi  opstond, maar waarvan je had gedacht, omdat je  

wist dat ze moesten bijsnijden, dat ze hier van  de onderkant wel een stukje zouden afsnijden,  

maar nee, ze hebben het van de bovenkant gedaan  waardoor iemand een stukje van zijn hoofd mist op  

de foto. Dat wil je niet, daar wil je de controle  over houden. Ik ga je gewoon een voorbeeld geven  

en dan wordt alles vanzelf duidelijk. Maar voordat  ik dat ga doen, moet ik je eerst eventjes het  

volgende uitleggen. Kijk, iedere foto heeft een  bepaalde beeldverhouding en dat wordt ook wel een  

aspect ratio genoemd. En hier zie je een voorbeeld  van een foto staan en die heeft de aspect ratio  

2:3. Zo wordt dat ook uitgesproken. En dit is geen  afstand uitgedrukt in bijvoorbeeld centimeters,  

maar dit is de verhouding tussen de hoogte ten  opzichte van de breedte. Dus dit zegt in feite:  

voor elke twee delen aan hoogte heb ik  drie delen aan breedte. En deze verhouding,  

die beeldverhouding, bepaalt dan eigenlijk ook  de vorm van jouw foto. En dat is heel belangrijk  

om te weten want heb jij zo'n fotolijstje  in huis leggen, dan heb je dus te maken met  

de aspect ratio, met de beeldverhouding van  dat lijstje. Laten we eens zeggen dat we een  

lijstje in huis hebben dat 24 cm lang is en 20  cm hoog is. Ik neem bewust even een fotoformaat  

wat je eigenlijk helemaal niet tegenkomt, maar  dan kan ik je juist laten zien hoe je je foto  

precies daarop kunt gaan aanpassen. En je hebt  een hele mooie foto gemaakt en die gaan we er  

ook eventjes bijpakken pakken, dus ik ga eventjes  naar mijn fotobewerkingsprogramma, naar Lightroom  

toe. En dat is deze foto hier. Een foto gemaakt  in Oostenrijk van een trein die uit een tunnel  

komt en over een spoorbrug rijdt. Deze foto heeft  de beeldverhouding van mijn camera en dat is een  

3:2 verhouding, precies zoals ik daarnet in het  voorbeeld aangaf. Dus voor 2 eenheden hier aan  

hoogte, heeft hij 3 eenheden aan breedte. Maar dit  moeten we nu gaan aanpassen aan die verhouding,  

aan die beeldverhouding van dat  fotolijstje dat we hadden. En dat  

was 24 x 20 cm. Hoe doe je dat? Dat doe  je in Lightroom hierboven, we zitten in de  

ontwikkelmodule, en we klikken op dit symbool.  Dit heet de uitsnijdbedekking. En nogmaals,  

ik laat het je hier in Lightroom zien,  maar wat ik je hier laat zien kan je  

echt in ieder fotobewerkingsprogramma doen.  Die uitsnijdbedekking die staat hier nu op  

"origineel" en dat is die 2:3 verhouding. Ik kan  hem hier bij een hoekpunt beetpakken en ik kan  

hem zo gaan verslepen, ik kan hem op een andere  manier in beeld brengen, maar de verhouding blijft  

3:2. Dat verandert niet. Maar op het moment  dat ik hier op dat woordje "origineel" klik,  

krijg ik hier allemaal andere beeldverhoudingen  te zien. En wat je hier boven eigenlijk ziet,  

dit zijn de meest voorkomende beeldverhoudingen.  Een hele populaire is bijvoorbeeld de 16 x 9 en  

dat is deze verhouding die je hier ziet. Dit is  een wat panoramische verhouding en die is daarom  

ook heel populair binnen de landschapsfotografie.  En het tweede voordeel van deze verhouding is dat  

dit ook de afmeting is van computermonitoren en  van televisie beeldschermen. Dus als je een foto  

hebt in deze beeldverhouding, is deze gelijk ook  formaatvullend en heb je dus geen randen aan de  

zijkant. Nou dan hebben we bijvoorbeeld ook een  1 op 1 verhouding. Dat is dan de vierkante foto  

en zo heb je er nog een aantal. Maar goed, wij  hebben dus een verhouding van 24cm x 20cm. Dat  

waren onze afmetingen. Hoe kan je die dan toch  krijgen? Dat kan je dan hieronder doen door te  

kiezen voor aangepaste waarde invoeren. En dan  krijg je hier een pop-upje en dan kan ik het hier  

gewoon invoeren en dan vul ik in: 24 keer 20.  En dan klik ik op OK. En dan heb ik nu precies  

de beeldverhouding van het lijstje dat ik in  huis had. En ik kan hem zo groot of zo klein  

maken als ik zelf wil, maar de beeldverhouding  blijft hetzelfde. Dus wat we nu gaan doen,  

we gaan even een mooie compositie opzoeken, hoe  we hem in beeld willen hebben. Kijk ik hou dit  

boompje hier nog even een beetje in beeld, hier  haal ik iets af en dan komt hij zo mooi die tunnel  

uit. Ik denk dat dit wel een mooie beeldverhouding  is. Dan klik ik op enter. En dan zie je dat we de  

foto nu hebben in de exacte beeldverhouding.  Dus op deze manier pas je dat aan. Dan moeten  

we de foto gaan exporteren en hoe doen we dat?  Daarvoor gaan we hier naar "bestand" en kiezen we  

voor "exporteren". En dan krijg je een venstertje  te zien waar je heel veel dingen kunt instellen,  

maar wat heel belangrijk is in het kader van deze  beeldverhouding, dat zijn deze twee opties, de  

bestandsinstellingen en de afbeeldingsgrootte. Bij  de bestandsindeling kiezen we voor JPEG. De meeste  

afdrukcentrales willen werken met JPEG-foto's,  dus dat gaan we dan ook doen. De kwaliteit van  

de JPEG-foto willen we dat deze 100% is. We willen  natuurlijk een zo hoog mogelijke kwaliteit hebben.  

En dan heb je hieronder nog een kleurruimte  staan en heb je hier ook een aantal opties.  

Hij staat nu op sRGB. Dat is een kleurruimte  die geoptimaliseerd is voor beeldschermen. Maar  

wil je een foto laten afdrukken op papier,  dan kunnen de betere afdrukcentrales ook  

overweg met AdobeRGB en dan heb je wat meer  kleuren. Dus dat is dan de betere optie,  

dus die zet ik even op AdobeRGB. Vervolgens kan  ik hier dan ervoor kiezen om de foto passend te  

maken en daar kies ik ook voor. En hij staat nu op  breedte en hoogte, dan kan ik hier invullen van:  

hij was dus 24 cm breed en 20 cm hoog. Maar  de foto staat al in de juiste beeldverhouding,  

dus ik kan het mij ook wat makkelijker maken.  Ik zeg, ik voer alleen de waarde in van de lange  

rand. Dat moet ik niet doen in pixels, maar in  centimeters. En dan geef ik aan, dit is 24 cm.  

Dan hebben we hier nog de resolutie en dat wordt  uitgedrukt in pixels per inch en op het moment dat  

je gaat printen, dan is 300 pixels per inch een  goede waarde. Wat Lightroom nu doet, is dat hij  

deze foto exact op maat gaat maken. Dan klikken we  op "exporteren" en dan zal hij de foto nu opslaan  

op de harde schijf. En hier zie je de foto nu ook  staan, ik zit nu even in de verkenner, en deze  

foto is precies nu in de juiste beeldverhouding  en in het juiste formaat. Als we even gaan kijken  

bij de eigenschappen. En dan kijken we even bij  details en dan zie je hier wel het aantal pixels  

staan en niet meer het aantal centimeters, maar  geloof mij, dit is exact de verhouding 24 x 20 cm.  

En wat we nu zeker weten, is dat we als we deze  de foto laten afdrukken, dat we ook deze uitsnede  

krijgen en dat de fotocentrale geen dingetjes meer  weg hoeft te snijden. Maar er is één ding waar we  

echt rekening mee moeten houden en dat ga ik je  nu vertellen. En om dat goed te demonstreren heb  

ik de foto eventjes overgebracht naar Photoshop.  Kijk, nogmaals, de afmeting is 24 x 20 cm. Op het  

moment dat we een foto gaan laten afdrukken bij  afdrukcentrale, dan gaat die afdrukcentrale vragen  

hoe grote foto je wilt. En de afdrukcentrales,  die werken met standaardformaten papier. Een  

standaardformaat is 30 x 20 cm, dus 30 cm lang en  20 cm hoog. Die 20 cm die hebben wij ook precies,  

alleen die van ons is maar 24 cm breed.  Dit is een standaard velletje fotopapier,  

dit is de verhouding 20 x 30 cm en laten we deze  foto daar nu eens eventjes opleggen. En dan kan  

je zien wat er gebeurt in een afdrukcentrale. Hij  heeft de foto even een beetje wat veranderd qua  

kleur, zoals je ziet, dus dat is niet helemaal  goed zoals je het nu ziet, maar dat maakt even  

niet uit nu in het kader van deze video. Dit witte  velletje hier op de achtergrond dat is dus het  

stukje fotopapier van de fotocentrale en daar moet  deze foto op deze manier worden opgeprint. Ik zal  

hem even iets verkleinen op deze manier. Dus zodat  je aan de zijkant een witrand over hebt. En of ze  

hem nou zo printen of als ze hem nou zo printen of  hier in het midden, dat maakt op zich niet zoveel  

uit, je moet dan even een stukje afsnijden. Maar  wat er nu gebeurt bij de meeste afdrukcentrales,  

die willen niet een foto afleveren met  witranden. Dus wat gaan die doen? Die gaan  

jouw foto, die gaan ze uitvergroten. En wat er  dan gebeurt dat is dit. Ik ga het je laten zien.  

En dan gaan ze de foto zo maken, want op deze  manier leveren ze wel een foto waarvan een heel  

stuk fotopapier gevuld is. Maar ja, dan heb jij  dus een foto van in dit geval 30 x20 cm en niet  

van 24 x20 cm. Dan is je hele beeldverhouding  weg en dan past die alsnog niet in het lijstje.  

Dus je moet dan echt op zoek gaan naar een  afdrukcentrale die dit aan kan. En dat zijn er  

niet zoveel. Ik ga je er even twee laten zien  die het wel aankunnen. Om te beginnen kan de  

fotocentrale van de Kruidvat, die kan dat aan.  Bij de Kruidvat kan je direct online bestellen,  

maar je kan ook hun fotoservice programma,  hun software installeren. Ga je direct online  

bestellen, dan kan je het niet aanpassen, maar  op het moment dat je zegt van: Hé, ik ga het  

programma echt op mijn computer installeren,  dan lukt het wel. Dus ik ga je het nu even  

laten zien vanuit dat stukje software. En wat  ik dan ga doen, ik ga de foto eerst eventjes  

hier opzoeken. En ik heb hem hier gevonden en die  foto die kan ik hier gewoon naartoe slepen. Zo,  

die is nu geüpload. En vervolgens kan ik hem nu  hier verder gaan instellen en kies ik voor "altijd  

je volledige foto". Kijk want hier kan ik ook weer  die 3:2 of 4:3 beeldratio, aspect ratio kiezen,  

maar ik wil de volledige foto hebben en dan zie  je inderdaad witranden aan de zijkant ontstaan,  

maar dat is precies wat we willen. Dit is de  20-serie, daar staat hij op en de 20-serie,  

dat wil zeggen dat de afmetingen 20 x 30 cm zullen  zijn. Het formaat daar zou ik mij niet druk over  

maken, want dat hebben we echt in fotobewerking  helemaal ingeregeld. Het is exact het goede  

formaat, dus dat gaat echt helemaal goed en deze  foto kan je nu op deze manier veilig bestellen.  

Dus bij de Kruidvat, die gebruik maakt van de  afdrukcentrale van CEWE, daar gaat het heel goed.  

Een andere afdrukcentrale en dat is degene bij  wie ik mijn fotowerk laat doen, dat is Whitewall  

en dat is deze die je hier ziet. Ik ben even naar  hun website gegaan en ik ga je ook laten zien hoe  

je het hier kunt doen. Wat willen we hebben?  We willen een fotoafdruk hebben. En we nemen  

gewoon hier de eerste: een normale fotoafdruk op  papier. Dan krijgen we hier een hele website met  

allemaal informatie, maar we gaan hier door naar  "nu maken". Dan kan je een foto gaan uploaden,  

we gaan even onze foto erbij zoeken. Die  heb ik hier, die klik ik aan, ik klik op  

openen en hij wordt nu ingeladen. Daar wachten  we eventjes op en zodra dat gebeurd is gaan we  

verder naar de configurator, dus gaan we op die  groene knop eronder drukken. Het is geslaagd,  

hij is geselecteerd. Hier zie je dat vinkje en we  gaan naar de configurator. En dan moeten we even  

wachten en dan zie je hier je foto verschijnen.  Dan moeten we hem natuurlijk nog wel in de juiste  

afmetingen weten te brengen en dat doe je hier  bij beeldgrootte & uitsnede. En wij willen een  

individueel formaat hebben. Hier kan je de breedte  in centimeter en de hoogte in centimeter invullen.  

Ik zorg er even voor dat ik hier op klik, want  dan blijft die beeldverhouding behouden, dan  

hoef ik maar één maat in te vullen. En de breedte  is 24 en je ziet dan gelijk dat de hoogte 20 is,  

want hij weet dat. "Wijzigingen toepassen" en dat  is eigenlijk het enige wat je hoeft te doen. En  

hier zie je nu je fotoresultaat. Je zou hem ook  nog kunnen bekijken in de 3D weergave en zo kom  

je foto dan als een mooie glansende foto eruit te  zien en we weten zeker: dit is het exacte formaat.  

Dus ja, ook een hele goede afdrukcentrale. Dus op  deze manier kun je je foto's exact passend maken  

voor jouw lijstje dat je in huis hebt. Maar dit  is natuurlijk niet alles wat erbij komt kijken  

op het moment dat je je foto wilt gaan laten  afdrukken. En wil je nu ook je foto's laten  

afdrukken en wil je er echt van alles over weten,  zodat je zeker weet dat je ook echt een hele mooie  

afdruk krijgt? Ik heb daar een masterclass  over ontwikkeld en die heet de Perfecte Print  

Masterclas en die wil ik je graag eventjes laten  zien, want wie weet is het wat voor je en hiermee  

voorkom je dus het weggooien van geld, omdat je  straks foto-afdrukken krijgt die je uiteindelijk  

niet mooi vindt. Wat kun je verwachten in die  Perfecte Print Masterclass? Ik ga even naar  

de cursusomgeving en dan kan je het zien. En die  masterclass bestaat in totaal uit acht lessen. De  

eerste les is de introductie en het belang van het  printen. Waarom moet je eigenlijk gaan printen? Of  

waarom is het ook zo leuk om te printen? En wat  kunnen we allemaal verwachten qua hindernissen op  

ons pad? En waarom is het dan zo belangrijk om  jouw print goed voor te bereiden? In de tweede  

les gaan we kijken naar welke foto's het meest  geschikt zijn om geprint te worden. Want je hebt  

waarschijnlijk heel veel foto's thuis, maar welke  zullen het nou goed doen aan de muur en welke doen  

het nou minder goed? Daar gaan we hier een diepe  duik in nemen. En dan is de volgende vraag die  

we in de volgende les gaan beantwoorden: wat is  de beste plaats in huis om je foto op te hangen?  

Waar komen ze goed tot hun recht en waar niet?  En we gaan het dan ook even al kort hebben over  

de formaten. We gaan kijken naar de belichting.  We gaan kijken of we straks rekening mee moeten  

houden met het materiaal of het mag reflecteren  of niet, zodat je foto echt zo goed mogelijk tot  

zijn recht komt, zodat je er ook echt volop van  kan kunt genieten. En dan een grote les waar we  

gaan kijken naar alle materialen waarop je je  foto kunt laten afdrukken. Want als je op de  

websites kijkt van heel veel afdrukcentrales,  je ziet soms door de bomen het bos niet meer,  

maar in beginsel zijn er maar vier basismaterialen  waarop je je foto kunt laten afdrukken en dat is  

papier, canvas, aluminium en acryl. En al die  andere dingen zijn afgeleiden daarvan. Ik ga je  

precies laten zien wat het verschil is, zodat je  een weloverwogen keuze kunt gaan maken. En dan is  

de vraag natuurlijk: hoe groot kun je je foto  maximaal laten printen? Want je kunt een foto  

natuurlijk niet eindeloos groot laten printen,  want dan ga je op een gegeven moment toch echt de  

pixeltje zien in je foto. En vervolgens zal je je  foto moeten voorbereiden op afdrukken en een stuk  

daarvan heb ik je al laten zien in deze video, hoe  je de ideale beeldverhouding kiest voor je foto,  

maar hier gaan we er nog dieper op in, gaan we  ook de foto nog verder aanpassen om te zorgen  

dat hij echt straks zo mooi mogelijk uit de  verf komt. En als we dan klaar zijn, dan ga  

ik je uitgebreid het hele bestelproces laten zien.  Ik ga ook daadwerkelijk een foto bestellen en je  

ziet het hier al, dat ik die foto uiteindelijk in  mijn hand heb. Dat is een aluminium foto en dat  

deze ook echt perfect uit de strijd is gekomen  door de perfecte instellingen. En dan tot slot  

heb ik nog een bonus les en dat gaat erover hoe  je een drieluik kunt maken. Een drieluik, dat is  

een foto die je eigenlijk in drie verschillende  delen ophakt. Je ziet het met een voorbeeldfoto  

hierboven en zodat je die wat meer uitgespreid op  je muur kunt hangen en die afzonderlijke foto's  

eigenlijk ook een soort verhaal weer vertellen.  En dit kan je niet met iedere foto doen,  

sommige foto's zijn er totaal niet geschikt voor,  ook daar gaan we het over hebben. Welke foto's
