viewers that in 2024 I was going to

review a ton of large tents that is what

a lot of people have been asking about

so many people have been asking about

tents just like this and that is why I'm

here today in this episode we are taking

a look at the cape 8 person tent

together let's see what it's all about

folks let's get started and let's get

started with a component breakdown as

you all can see here this is a fairly

large tent the big question is how heavy

is this you're looking at a tent that's

roughly 35 lbs is that heavy yes is it

overly heavy I would say

no for an 8 person tent the weight of

this tent makes sense what we have here

is a gigantic storage bag it has a

center zip that goes across the top two

compressed straps we do have two grab

handles additionally we have grab

handles at both ends of this

tent opening this up here we have the

tent and we have a compression strap in

the

Middle with a buckle

additionally we have setup

instructions here we have the fly for

the

tent and we have two other components

which I will talk about in just a little

bit additionally my friends we have some

tent staks and some guidelines I will

come back to this bag here in just a

minute as well let's go ahead and let's

set up this tent real quick

for one person this is not

easy now let's dig into this cordage

steak kit let's see what's inside here

it looks like we have six guidelines and

16 tent staks I'm going to take a second

here and stake out this tent to give it

super easy and removing it super easy as

this is without a doubt a palace for one

person or a family there's a ton of

space inside of this tent and it has

some very interesting features let's

talk about those now in addition to the

three doorways we have three awnings one

two and there's a third one here on the

side these awnings go over each of the

doors looking into the inside of the

tent yes this massive tent has a floor

speaking of the floor this is a bathtub

style and it sticks up about 8 Ines each

door is massive that means it's going to

be easy to get into and out of this tent

at the same time this tent is very very

tall here in a minute we'll go over the

measurements over every single window

you have mesh and the same applies for

the doors that means that you can keep

this tent 100% bug secure as there's no

way for them to enter unless you open up

the doors

with this tent being an eight person

shelter obviously some people would want

some privacy so what I have here is a

divider that way you can have parents on

one side kids on the other or whatever

once you have the divider installed you

have a zipper

here and then you can roll back the

doors with this tent we have three other

components that we should talk about

what we have here is some storage and

basically you can mount this on the

inside of the tent it has meshed pockets

meshed sleeves and you can hang items in

this and you can tie this up next

everybody we have this white fabric here

this is a screen so let's say that you

go out camping really glamping I guess

you should say you can set this up with

a projector and you can Shine the image

on here and watch television or movies

or play video games or

whatever the last

component is the fly and we should put

that on now

with the tent being fully set up let's

go over some stats real quick this is a

three-season cabin style tent is the

setup time 60 seconds no is it fast for

it eight person tent yes without a doubt

this would be easier with two people the

first go around it was a little bit

awkward but I think I could definitely

make that smoother especially now that I

know how the tent goes about setting up

without a doubt though this is a fast

setup tent you can get this set up in

about 5 minutes by yourself and even

faster with someone else also it should

be mentioned that putting the fly on is

rather easy this tent features three

doors each door has a mesh covering to

keep out the bugs this tent features

three windows with mesh coverings at the

top of the tent we have six mesh vents

the waterproof rating of this tent is

3,000 mm which is very impressive that's

quite High speaking of the waterproof

rating of this tent on Amazon there's a

video of this tent being tested in some

sort of facility tested for wind and

waterproofness it is quite impressive

make sure to check that out if you're

interested in this tent when it comes to

the primary materials for this tent it

is a 150 to near Oxford polyester the

zippers are SBS which is a very good

brand as far as the dimensions go wind

stored it's big you're looking at 47 .2

in x 11 in when it comes to the setup

Dimensions again this tint is huge 167.5

in Long 120 in wide and on the inside

you have a height of 76.8 in as far as

the weight goes you're looking at 352 lb

this tint is available in two different

sizes a six person and an8 person the

six person is $300 the 8 person here

that is $400 one thing that I want to do

here is measure the center of this tent

I gave you all the dimensions and inches

but let's talk practical means as far as

height goes so as long as you

are around 6'2 in this is going to be a

good shelter for you you can be able to

stand up right here in the center the

walls do taper down and it goes to 5' 2

in right there we see it if you're under

6'2 in this is going to be a fantastic

shelter for you if you're taller than

that you may have to hunch over lean

over just a little bit nonetheless right

this is a gigantic tint and the fact

that it's so tall so big a lot of people

are going to like this there are some

unique features to this shelter that

I've not seen in other tents first off

we have to talk about the way that this

sets up the overall setup process is a

little bit cumbersome but once you get

accustomed to it I think it's going to

go very quickly the first go around I

was a little bit confused how the legs

popped out and telescoped but it's

actually a very smart system the legs

have a Locker on them that allows the

legs to telescope out and basically push

this t tent up into the air it's a very

smart system the doors inside of this

tent are awesome again we have three of

them and they are huge the fact that you

can zipper up the mesh keep the bugs out

is huge as well each door has an awning

that is an amazing feature I love it the

windows inside of this tin are huge and

they are going to allow in a ton of air

flow the fact that the tent has a floor

again is a huge benefit often times when

it comes to gigantic tense like this

you're not guaranteed full bug

protection but in this case you do have

that we have a ton of mesh up here at

the top ventilation inside of this tent

should be spectacular as far as the

quality goes everything here looks

excellent I've seen no issues when it

comes to the stitching there are some

loose threads around on the floor but

those are from the manufacturing process

they're not actually attached to the

tent itself in general this is an

excellent looking tent especially for a

tent of this size again this is an 8ers

tent and the quality looks to be really

really good if you were to purchase a

Coleman tent for an example an eight

person a Montana I promise you that tent

is not going to look as good as this I

should mention this folks there is an

auxiliary port here with this tent so if

you want to bring power inside of this

shelter you can as far as the guideline

placements go on this tent they look to

be very good they're mounted up high and

they will do a good job of securing this

tent while keeping the fly on here after

seeing the waterproof and wind testing

video that is on Amazon this tin looks

to be extremely stormw worthy that is an

aspect that I'm looking forward to test

out as far as the price goes for this

shelter in my opinion it's completely

Fair now to be honest when I pick picked

this up off of Amazon at the time when I

did so it was let's see $400 with a $100

off coupon that coupon has since expired

so the tent does cost 400 bucks for $400

you're getting a fast setup eight person

tent that has a ton of Windows a ton of

doors a ton of awnings you have numerous

mesh panels up at the roof all of that

translates to a very pleasant camping

experience in the summer time as far as

the stored form factor goes this is a

very large tent it is somewhat heavy so

you need to ask yourself is that

something that you want to deal with the

thing is if you want a large ENT it's

going to be large and it's going to be

heavy that's just how it goes I would

say considering how big this ttin is the

overall storage size is not bad and the

same could be said about the weight I've

done my best to go over this ENT as

thoroughly as possible this is a very

big shelter there's a lot of features

here all in all I'm very impressed and

I'm excited to begin testing this out I

believe this tint is going to do

extremely well but my big question is

how waterproof is this shelter I think

it's going to be extremely waterproof

impressively so ultimately though

there's only one way to find out if I'm

correct we have to get this tin out and

we have to test it out that will be
